Rivera is really passionate about getting everyone to reach their fitness goals in class. If you're not willing to sweat and work HARD then this isn't the class for you!Otherwise I would def reccomend it...music is catchy and he works your butt off!!
This class is awesome. If you want a good workout, this is the one for you. Auggie is so supportive and caring and he really wants everyone to succeed. I love it!

Augie is AWESOME. I've taken TaeBo and Aerobic Dance with him and I plan to enroll in Body Pump. He really cares about his students and is always willing to help those who have an injury and need to work around it. Expect to be sore after every class. It's hard, but manageable. He's probably the best PhysEd teacher I've had at Trinity.
This class kicks your butt but in the best way possible. if you want to get in shape and really learn about exercise, take any of his classes! Augi is great!
I had Auggie for both Tae Bo and Body Pump, and they were both great classes. You definitely have to work and attend the classes, but if you want to get in shape, definitely take a class with him. He teaches you exercises that you can do on your own, even after you finish the class. Definitely recommend him!
This class was so INTENSE! Rivera gets you into this fat burning zone, but the time flies by! The class was filled with motivation and encouragment! I highly recommend this class if you really want to get into shape!
Rivera is INCREDIBLE! I have taken two of his classes (AD and BP) and have never found another instructor as good as him. He pushes students, is super creative with workouts, and the best part is they actually work! You loose fat, see lines appear, and feel so much better about yourself. Take him if you ever get the chance; you won't regret it
He really knows his stuff. He will push you hard and you will be sore. It is not an easy class, but at the same time, he makes it fun. Highly recommend him.
I LOVE his classes! Every single one of them is hardcore and a great workout. Guys and girls come out of these classes completely burned. Do it! You're six-pack will thank you!
Prof. Rivera is fantastic. He really motivates you and pushes you to do your best. I don't think I have ever been this physically fit before. This class is brilliant for those who are prepared to work hard, but trust me it's worth it!!!! :D
Took body pump with him and it was intense but in an awesome way. There was always something different and I really felt my body become stronger. He pushes you to reach your potential. Also a cool guy to talk to.

Aerobic Dance is so much fun. You will not regret taking this class if you can survive the first week. And you play dodgeball, which girls kick butt in too.
Augie is by far the best physical education teacher at Trinity. His Aerobic Dance class will kick your butt, and you'll have the muscles to prove it. He is tough and motivational. I highly recommend any of his classes.

Rivera is the best! Don't be fooled by the class's name, aerobic dance is a really good workout (that involves no dancing). He changes up his workout every day and is just an overall amazing instructor! You can never go wrong with his class!
Really awesome class! I absolutely loved every minute of it so much that I visit the classes some times when I get a chance. It's a good workout and really works your butt off. I got a lot of complements telling me how good I looked after a semester of working out with Augy. I tell everyone to take his class.
His Tae-Bo class was so much fun. I still use some of the stuff we did. He always played fun music for us and was really great about switching up work out routines. He was always really helpful and was really knowledgeable about work-outs and overall health. I will probably take another class with him.
Auggie will give you a killer workout but it's so much fun and he does a great job of being encouraging and keeping you pumped up. He is so knowledgeable and really cares about his students. I will definitely take another class with Auggie!
I took Tae Bo - it was challenging but fun! Professor Rivera is very motivating!
Awesome instructor. I was a little hesitant to take body pump at first, thinking it would be too easy- not the case. He always puts together great workouts! He does a great job motivating during the harder workouts, and really helps you get the most out of the class.
This class was not so much a dance class as it was just a really good cardio workout. I liked that he pushed us to do our best, but was not strict about getting the moves perfectly right. I had a lot of fun, great music and a great workout!
Had him for body pump, great workout! Excellent teacher!

His aerobic dance class will get you in Spring Break shape in no time! Not only is he a truly talented instructor but he is funny and very understanding.
Body Pump was an intense work out but Augie made it a lot of fun! I felt like I was in great shape after I took it. I don't really do exercise for fun, but this ended up being an enjoyable part of my day twice a week! I'd definitely recommend this class.
Auggie was GREAT! Took him for Aerobic Dance and came out much more toned. Everyone I've ever talked to raves out him. Mention a PE class and they ask, "Is Auggie teaching it??" He's that good.
If you want to burn calories while listening to throwbacks like Brittany or Christina, this prof is for you. Aerobic dance involves little to no dancing, though. Sad day. He's a sweetheart. Take his classes.
If you want a real workout, take this class. Apart from the difficult but very rewarding workouts, Auggie is great at motivating everyone. After a day's worth of classes, it's always great to relax and be in the positive environment that Auggie creates. Gives great advice too!
If you are looking to get in shape and have fun while doing so, Augustine Rivera is the man for you. His classes are not easy, but he will push you and help you become stronger. Body pump is a good class for men or women, because you can choose your own weight and really decide what kind of workout you want to have.

Auggie is the best! The workouts are very difficult, but he will definitely get you in shape. He is so sweet and encouraging. He makes everyone laugh in class, but motivates us to push ourselves at the same time. I took Aerobic Dance as well and preferred it over body pump, but they are similar and both great!

Auggie is an AMAZING phys. ed. teacher! I took his aerobic dance class first semester of my freshman year and try to sign up for as many others as I can! He's helpful, he pushes you to do the best you can, and his work outs are fun and effective. I would definitely recommend taking one of his classes!!
I took both aerobic dance and body pump with Augie, and both were really great. Body pump whipped me into shape, and I built a lot of muscle and got really toned. If you want results, you have to try hard. Put more weight on the bar than you think you can do, or push yourself with heavier dumbells. It's totally worth it.
If you want to get in shape definitively, take his Aerobic dance class. Although you will be sore for the rest of your life the feeling is so good and you will look great! Auggie also creates a very positive environment and he is a great motivator. For sure that his PHED classes.
I've taken Body Pump and Aerobic Dance with Augie. It's always a fabulous workout and he switches up the routine every single time. Take either one!
This class has gotten me into the best physical shape of my life. Augie pushes us hard, but the in-class attitude has gotten me to be healthier out of class too. Augie also is very understanding and a great motivator. I HIGHLY recommend this class! But this class isn't for the faint-hearted, so be warned!
Auggie's the best! Such a great work out, as long as you show up and work hard (which isn't difficult because he is so positive and motivating), you will have a very successful class with him.
Augie is amazing. Be prepared to work hard... at first, I thought it would just be a small little work-out, but he is serious. And I love it. I really have felt my self getting stronger. Take any of his classes, it is great motivation to work out, especially if you don't always do.
I love Auggie. I've taken Aerobic Dance, Tae-Bo, and Body Pump with him and every one has been excellent. He's fantastic at motivating you and pushing you to actually get results. Skip too often and you'll get penalized, but he's very understanding of extenuating circumstances.

Auggie is completely fantastic! I took Body Pump with him, and even though it killed me, his enthusiasm was infectious and made me want to go to class.

Took Tae-Bo, Aerobic Dance, and Body Pump. If he offered any other classes, I would take them in a heartbeat. I've taken lots of workout classes (I used to work at a YMCA, so they were free), and Auggie gives by far the clearest directions of anyone I've had a class with. He knows his stuff, even if he spells things wrong.
Auggie's Aerobic Dance class was so great!! It was such an awesome workout and perfect for relieving stress. As long as you attend class, you don't have to worry about your grade either. Take this class for sure!

Great class, great instructor hard workout, but what is a workout if it is not hard? If you need to fulfill your Physical Ed requirement I suggest you take this class because it is impossible to get less than A unless you don't show up and you get in shape!
I loved Aerobic Dance. Augie is motivating but kind, and he gets you into shape!! I never once dreading going this class despite the hard workouts. Augie makes you feel valued as a person.
He is SO nice and the work out is hard, but only because he wants his class to be fit and try their best! He is funny and doesn't push you harder than you can go. I would highly recommend this class if you want a good work out!

This class was amazing. I rated him as a hard teacher because his workouts are strenuous in the best way possible. By the end of the class I could feel clear changes in my body and was in much better shape. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with Augie and wish I could take this class again.
You will hurt after one of his classes. A lot. Be warned. That said, I totally recommend them! Tough but awesome.
Not your average PE class. Also, don't expect to do any actual dancing in Aerobic Dance. That said, taking his class was the best decision I made this semester. I dropped a jean size and got really toned. I hope he offers more classes in the future because I would definitely take one every single semester!
If you want to dance DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS! There is no dancing involved. It's a hard class and you hurt afterwards but Im convinced it's the reason I didn't gain the freshman 15. He is really encouraging and really wants you to succeed in his class. Its a hard class but completely worth it!
I took Aerobic dance and it was a great decision. He is so helpful. He is so energetic and really seems to care about his students. You get a great workout while becoming a supportive group with the people in your class. I took Tae-bo with another teacher and it was not as good. If you have the option to take this class, I would say to take it.
Taking his class (aerobic dance) was somewhat of a confidence booster. Take it!!!

Insanely difficult class, but in a good way. He's such an energetic and helpful guy who gets you pumped up and really pushes you past your limit. He whipped the entire class into shape in just a semester. Definitely recommend.
I do insanity everyday except for days I go to this class; this is more or less on the same caliber as insanity. It's a great class, you get a new workout every time you show up and you reach muscle failure every time if you push yourself. If you're serious about getting fit, then take this class!!! P.S. there is no dancing in Aerobic Dance...
Aerobic Dance was one of my favorite classes this semester! It's difficult, but nothing you can't do. He always pushes you, but not beyond your limit. There's no chance to gain the freshman 15 with Augie.
This class is awesome. I didn't lose too much weight but I was A LOT more toned in the right places. No freshmen 15 for me. He pushes you to give it everything you got and motivates you the entire way. The workouts were tough but never anything you can't handle. The pain and sweat is worth it! I would definitely take the class again if I could.
I took Body Pump with him. loved it! The work-outs are intense, and they really do help you get toned. He also offers advice about eating and life that is good as well!
FANTASTIC Class.I took aerobic dance with Auggy and it has changed me on the inside and out!I am so much stronger than I ever thought I would be and my body has changed dramatically. I'm proud to say I've lost 15lbs since starting this class! EVERY workout is different and he makes it fun!I'm so sad that I can't take this class again next year :(
When I rate this class as "easy" i'm referring the fact that no school work is obviously involved, but the workouts are intense! I definitely loved the class though! Augie is a great instructor and works with everyone to push them past limits they even knew they could. He's extremely awesome and very supportive! Definitely kept me extremely fit!
This is the best class i've taken at trinity, hands down. It's my hardest class both physically and mentally, and it's completely worth it. Rivera makes you feel good about yourself and inspires you to just be fit and healthy. i would take this class every semester if i could and i strongly recommend it if you want the best body of your life.
This guy's great. I took him for aerobic dance this semester, and don't be fooled, it's a work out! But it got me in super good shape. He's crystal clear, always helpful, and I really recommend the class. It's not an inactive credit, but it's worth it!
This was a great class! The workouts were different every class and you definitely felt the difference in muscle tone by the end of the semester. Plus you learn a bunch of different moves and combinations that you can do later He's also super motivational and gives advice about nutrition and life in general. An awesome class to take

This class will push you every day. Do not sign up if you are not serious about getting toned and in shape. Augie is motivating and helpful...you can tell he loves his job. He varies up the workouts daily and teaches you moves you can do on your own. You will tone up in this class. Go every day - its worth it! Nutrition and life tips are a plus!
The guy has a good heart. Has some really corny lectures/stories, but he's coming from a good place. Knows his stuff, maybe a bit over eager for a Trinity PE class... Tries to get you excited about working out. Whether or not that works is really on you. Some may find his over-zealous style a bit annoying.
Augie is an awesome professor. He works you hard and he gets results, but he obviously really cares about his students. He takes time outside of class to give specific advice and help.
Take this class. Hands down one of the most fun classes I've taken at Trinity. Augustine really cares about this course and works out with us most of the time. I have seen results. I feel better about myself. This class has kept me active while allowing me to have fun too. He is challenging but worth it. He knows his stuff. <3 love and light <3

A lot of girls take Augustine's classes, but they're not just for the ladies. If you're a guy looking to lean out or put on some muscle, Auggie's class is a great class to take. He works you hard and you leave each class feeling like your mentally and physically stronger. Plus, he's an awesome dude.
It's a hard class in the sense that Augustine really pushes you every day. If you take it seriously, you will get incredibly fit in just one semester. He's the nicest person I've met and he changed my perspective on many aspects in life. TAKE THIS CLASS!!!!!!!!!!!
Augustine is a cool guy. The only problem with this class is that you have to come all the time or else it will effect your grade, but that is not uncommon with college classes.

Auggy was a very amazing teacher. I came into the class with some background as to lifting and had taken a body pump class before. It is not a body pump class, though it is similar. Auggy knows his stuff; he knows his nutrition and he knows how to lift. Definitely would recommend this class to both males and females who are interested in lifting

This is the second time I have taken one of Augie's classes, and his workouts are amazing! There is never a "routine" class--every day is a new workout plan. Be prepared to relieve some stress, and to feel better afterward. I would recommend this class to anyone who would like their life to change for the better. Overall, great positive energy.
LOVED this class! Augie is a fantastic, enthusiastic and very chill fitness instructor. He genuinely loves what he does and wants everyone to do their best. You will leave class sweaty and feeling accomplished. I plan on using his workouts after class wraps up this semester to stay in shape for the summer!
Augusteine's class was awesome! Not only does his class help you get into shape in only one semester but it also betters your eating habits. Augusteine makes you work hard but he helps you on every step along the way.

The grade is based on attendance, but Auggie makes it a class you WANT to attend. TAKE THIS CLASS!!
Literally my favorite Physical Education teacher I've ever had. He makes every class interesting and fun and no class is the same. If you miss a class, you can't make up what you missed because that specific workout will not be used for the rest of the semester.

Augustine is an amazing gym instructor. Yes the workouts are difficult and exhausting, but he encourages you throughout. You can talk with him about anything, he is very friendly and approachable. Class can be fun and you make friends in the class.

No matter your level of fitness, this class is great if you want to work out. Augustine is super motivational, and doesn't ever repeat a workout so things are always interesting. Even on a day I'm dreading a workout I leave in a better mood. Attendance is what earns you a grade but he lets you make up missed days in his other class.
Augie is amazing!! Super fun workouts that will get you in shape and put you in a better mood. You'll get a great workout especially if you choose weights that will challenge you. I wish I could workout with him everyday. He plays Christian music during every class and it's weirdly inspiring even if you aren't religious.

But if you're like me and aren't too big on Christian pop and songs that are both really catchy and also about Jesus, then you're just like me. And let me tell you - I wasn't a fan at first. But now? Great coach. The only barrier between me and the freshman 15. Chill environment, chill everything, just a really good time to get in shape. Open to all, I didn't work out before this. It is very difficult, but anyone could do it if they put their mind to it.
I look forward to this class and get a great workout every time!
I have never taken a gym class like this before. It's challenging but it's not impossible. After attending the class for about 2 months, I honestly feel so much stronger and fit. I wish he could explain what each move does to what, but other than that I think he's pretty great.
Super great workout always. This is my fourth workout class I've taken at this school and is by far the best workout I've gotten every time, without fail. Augie is super motivational and has a very positive vibe in the classroom.
