Aurelia is adorable and helpful. the class is a piece of cake if your moderately good at spanish. she wants everyone to do well.volunteer in class, she basically tells every one thery're right ("perfecto!") even if your not. a little patronizing at times, like she made us repeat our vocab list out loud, but i def recomend her!

I am horrible at Spanish and she was so helpful! Even if you're not the best student, as long as you try you'll be fine. I'd definitely recommend her above anybody else if you have to take Spanish III. She was more helpful than my Spanish professors in Spanish I and II combined.

Aurelia! Great teacher...sends worksheets over email to clarify/strengthen material concepts. Did not need to go office hours...very clear in teaching the material. Exams were pretty easy and she is a fair grader. Easy A/A- with minimal work!

Very nice, sweet teacher. Class is interesting although there are a lot of "useless" activities in the text. Class is easy if you've taken some years of spanish prior. It is recommended you have good pronunciation and can understand and know how to respond to and form questions in the language. Love this teacher!

I really liked her and I am taking her again. However don't be fooled everyone is saying she is an easy grader however when she gives your participation grade even if u participate everyday u will still get a 90 which annoying and she never responds to your emails. Besides this she is a nice professor

This class is an easy A/A-. But do not be late for her class. She has a really harsh attendance policy where even if you're 5 minutes late it counts for half an absence. And every absence is a point off your final grade. And she's not nice to you violate the policy...

An amazing professor and a great class. I truly enjoyed this, even though I usually struggled with foreign language, she put out the material in a very interesting manner and was always patient. She's also really cute.

She is so sweet and a great teacher. The class is so easy anyway and she makes it fun. I missed alot of class and I thought points would be taken off my grade but they weren't. Remember to do the online homework it really helps keep your grade up.

Take Rio for 106. First of all, the lady is gorgeous to look at and a real sweetheart. Second of all, as long as you have some sort of work ethic you will get an A or a B. A couple years of Spanish in high school always helps. Don't overlook the miscellaneous assignments they really help your grade! I got an A in the class.

Rio is a must take professor! Even for the Spanish-illiterate, she makes the class fun and keeps everyone talking so it is easy to understand. She is an easy grader on all tests and I never got a grade less than a 95. 4 tests, 1 oral exam, and a weekly online quizzes. She is a must have for Spanish before leaving UD.

HIghly recommend taking her over summer or winter session!

She is a great teacher. She is easy pretty much with grading. Exams are easy, not difficult at all. She works with her students to make you better understand and participate. She knows who comes to class and who doesnt even if she doesnt look like she is taking attendence so just go to class! take her class! Shes great!

Profesora Rio is awesome! At first I was a bit intimidated by her but she's not mean at all. She's a fun, interesting teacher who wants you to succeed. She's smart as a whip and such a sweetie - she'll always help you if you need it! Don't ever get caught with a phone, she'll rip you a new one. I definitely recommend taking her class if you can.

RIo is great! She's really cute and funny and makes coming to class fun. Attendance is mandatory for any teacher in this course and she makes class worthwhile. Definitely the best teacher for SPAN106

I adore Profesora Rio. She's so sweet and a really good teacher and I love her accent! She makes the class pretty fun and interesting and she cares about all her students.

If you aren't comfortable with Spanish, good luck. She speaks more in Spanish than in English.

LOVED her! If you took 3+ years of Spanish this class is a total review of high school. She is the cutest woman ever and loves to teach. Tests every 2 weeks but super easy if you study. You can miss 4 classes until it counts against you, but you'll do better if you go. Participation really matters, so raise your hand frequently. TAKE HER!

Lectures with Rio are laid-back, fun and refreshing. When it comes to assignments, you MUST follow all aspects of rubrics. She is very strict when it comes to assignments, but all resources are there, so there is no reason to do poorly. She is willing to help review for tests. PARTICIPATE in her class; it counts as a large portion of your grade!

Professor Rio is so sweet! Participate in class and even if you're not sure what you're saying is right, she'll help you get it right and give you participation points! If you've taken any Spanish, the exams aren't bad. Word of advice, respect her and follow class rules - you don't want to be on her bad side!

Profesora Rio is the best! Honestly even if you weren't that great at spanish in high school you don't need to worry too much. She makes everything easy to understand and will tell you if you are wrong and why. She always goes over the workbook questions and has a review before every exam. She is so sweet and cute too.

She's so so sweet. She really cares and really wants you to do well. All the classes are the same and have the same lesson plan that she has to stick to, but she's really chill. All the homework is gone over in class. With all 107 classes, you have to go to class it's mandatory, so don't be late. But she's a real gem. Love this woman.

She cares about teaching you the language but will never fail you if you are putting in the effort. Best spanish teacher I've had. May have to do some Homework but its all for the best cuz she really cares.

Lots of reading but overall one of the easier spanish classes I've taken. She cares about students and is accessible for help all the time. Collects homework once in a while but not often, participation is very important.

Dr. Rio is an incredible professor. She is very knowledgeable of the subject matter and asks interesting questions. She encourages a lot of group collaboration. She balances movies, readings and discussions well. There are only two exams which are fine but you need to study for them. I loved her course and would take anything with her again.

Course requires you to complete online activities every week which takes time but is good preparation for exams. A few short paragraphs were collected and graded. One group project (dialogue), and exams pretty frequently. Exams arent that hard and the online homework helps boost your grade (you get unlimited attempts).

Profesora Rio was easily one of the best Spanish professors I have ever had here at UD. If you ever have the chance to take her class do it! Make sure you study for the exams and do all of the homeworks, and you'll do great :)

Prof. Rio was a joy! Not too much work and wants the best for her students. The exams were incredibly easy, and she gives you all you need to know. Try to participate, even if it's a guess or only a partial answer, she will appreciate the effort. Rio kind-hearted soul with an incredible past. Always arrives to class with trendy outfit :)

She is so incredibly kind. I took 107 over the summer in a five week format which was live Mon-Thurs with a test on Fri. Professora was so sweet and explained things very well. If you ever have an option to take a spanish class by her I would recommend it.

Prof. Rio is the best. I would say her class is completely reasonable and really useful. There was a small amount of homework, a few exams, and a couple presentations but she makes them really simple. She's such a sweet woman and makes speaking much less intimidating, and is really good at helping with any problems or confusion.

Prof. Rio is such a caring lady. I loved starting my day with her class. She is very caring and makes everyone feel comfortable speaking Spanish. I would take her for every single class if I could. The workload was super manageable and honestly, the assignments were kind of fun.

Homework is fairly easy, class is pretty much just presentations so it is not a heavy course load. Prof. Rio is super caring and willing to help-- she also never judges!

I took professor Rio this summer and she was great. Truly the best spanish class I've ever been in. She works with you to help you understand things and you can tell that she is genuinely rooting for you. Focus on doing well on the exams and you will do great in the class!

One of the sweetest professors I have had at UD. Rio is super friendly and approachable, don't be afraid to ask her to clarify anything. My one issue is that she does not provide copies of the lecture slides, but the information on those slides are what is directly on the exams (type fast). Her class is super manageable.

She mostly speaks Spanish in class but will always clarify in english if you need it, and though there can be a lot of homework they're fairly easy and you have plenty of time to complete them.

Profe Rio was a great teacher for this course! The assignments are not hard at all and all the readings are provided in form of pdf. There's also videos/movies you have to watch but she uploads them all to files. Overall, this is a great and easy class (especially if you are already fluent!)

I took this abroad and her expectations for the course are reasonable. You talk every class and present weekly. She tells you exactly what to include in them and they should't take more than a couple hours to complete. I recommend pasting it into language tool to double check for grammar. She's fun and funny highly recommend.
