Professor Canonica is undoubtedly an asset to FAU. He actually cares about his students and their success in the course. He makes himself accessible outside of class and always answers any questions you may have. He takes the time to look over your assignments and give you ample feedback so you are set up for success for the final Marketing Plan.

First and foremost, I would like to start out by saying I appreciate the untraditional approach to Professor Canonica's teaching methods. Professor C, neglected tests and focuses more on real world skill building such as, public speaking, marketing campaigns, and current events. Overall, great class, and great teacher. TAKE HIMM!!!

Professor Canonica's motto is to entertain, educate and inspire, and you can bet you will get out of his class knowing that. He is extremely knowledgeable about the subject and makes each of his classes interesting and FUN!! I am so glad I took him and you should do the same!

Professor Canonica has been the best online professor I have had so far. He has video lecture for every chapter, that clearly explains what the chapter is about. So you will not be confused after reading the chapter.

Professor Canonica was the best!! Since I wasn't going be in the country for the optional exam he unlocked the exam one day before I had to leave so I could take it. If you need something from him he'll do all he can to help you.

Amazing professor, he responds almost immediately to emails and does everything he can to help the student understand the material by answering questions thoroughly and to the point. I experienced technical difficulties during the quizzes and exams and he called me back to help and reopen the exam. Highly recommend him.

I took this class over the summer. There was a lot of busy homework but overall pretty easy. We had 4 exams, open notes on all of them. He allows you to use his power point slides which helps a ton. Also he gives an opportunity at the end for a replacement exam grade. I would highly recommend taking him!

Overall the class was simple. Great professor, makes constant announcements on canvas about whats due and about upcoming tests. Very well spoken. You will have to purchase assess code to do assignments. Exams are open book (physical but not ebook). Lecture videos were informative. I recommend this professor.

Take this professor, he is one of my new favorites! It is an easy class and you also learn a lot. He is very funny and makes lectures interesting. The homeworks, quizzes, learnsmarts and tests are fairly easy; he gives you almost a full month to do 4 chapters of homework. I suggest buying the physical copy of the book so you can use it on exams.

Professor Canonica is a fantastic professor. I took him for marketing and his lectures are very well planned and easy to understand. He is very inspirational and he really cares about his students. If you ever have issues with something in the course he is very accommodating and will help you in any way he can.

The class isn't hard when you listen to his short and entertaining lectures and do the assignments. There are 4 proctored exams but they are OPEN BOOK. Best professor I've had at FAU so far. He is amazing, he is willing to help you with whatever you need to succeed. There is a good amount of work to be done all online but as long as you do the work and follow directions you'll easily get an A. He is super funny and makes marketing very interesting. I highly recommend him!

Professor Canonica is amazing. He really cares about his students , and he is ready to help if you need it. I am not a fan of online classes and taking his online classes has been the best choice I have made. I recommend to print out power point slides and focus on learning from the learn smart assignments because you will need it during the exam.

I really enjoy this class but the grading is difficult. 75% for exams, 10% for connect quizzes, and 15% LearnSmart assignments. The lowest quiz and LearnSmart are dropped. To pass read, power points, and study the key terms, online is a good tool, but it is a lot of work, make sure you do well on the exams which are worth 75% of grade.

The class was pretty easy for 3 weeks, and Professor C is very nice! The thing I would change is the amount of time you have for the exams. The exams are open book, but since they weigh so much it would be nice to have more time to check your answers since you only have one chance to choose an answer (no going back to previous questions).

He went out of his way to help me when I had a family emergency! He cares about his students and provides amazing video lectures! As long as you watch them, you will be okay. I used the book a lot. He lets you use the book and notes on exams! He made a 3-week 'Early Spring' course so stress-free! I hope I get to take his class again!

He's a great guy. He's very young so he's more relatable with students because he was one not too long ago. Attendance is optional but he asks questions on the exams that only students would know if they attended lectures. They're interesting though! The rest of the assignments are online and due every 2 weeks before the exams. Take him!!!

If you have the chance to take him, do it. He genuinely wants every student to succeed. His lectures are awesome, but he includes specific events that you need to know for exams, only discussed during class. If you ever need help, email him and he will make sure your problem is solved and questions are answered. Best professor at FAU.

Professor Canonica was the best professor that I have had at FAU! His class is very interesting and he keeps you engaged the whole time. He also has plenty of opportunities for the class to participate. He does put current events on his test, so if you do not go to class you will miss out on those, but I honestly never wanted to miss his class!

He loves teaching and wants to help in every way. Homework (10%), analytics (5%), LSmart (5%), quizzes (10%) , and exams (70%) are all online. Tests are proctored. You're allowed to have written notes, book, inted material for all tests. Attendance isn't mandatory but current events from class are on the tests. I recommend taking this class!

Professor Canonica is such an amazing marketing professor. His syllabus lays out exactly what you have to do and all the Learnsmart (hw, quizzes, analytics) assignments are super easy. Do buy the paperback version of the textbook as exams are open note but not online. I love his lectures and would take him again for any course!

Professor Canonica is great, materials are directly from the book. He also gives out current events that would be on the test during class so don't skip, although his lectures are not boring. Take him if you can.

He is a great young professor who understands how to teach to young adults in a way that interests you. Lectures are a must to pass tests but the tests are clear and consistent with work given. Also, allows you to use any notes you have and textbooks on the test. The only reason I did not receive an A is that I skipped the first few lectures.

Professor Canonica is amazing to say the least. He really takes his time to prepare lecture videos that are sure to help you out. He also takes the time to respond to your e-mails and help you out when you do not understand something. He goes above and beyond for his students by posting career opportunities for his marketing students.

To get a A... read the book/underline anything that seems important. Print out the PowerPoint and make sure you have definitions printed. Watch each lecture 2x. He has his lectures time stamped. I suggest you print that for the tests. Many questions come straight out of the book. Have a good idea where each topic is covered in the book.

I took his class during the summer, and WOW do I wish I had him for the rest of my classes. He was very organized and had a positive attitude towards his work. He was very responsive and always gave his students great feedback. There were plenty of assignments to do, but it was definitely helpful when taking the test. PLEASE take his class!

Tests were all open book, so highlight what you need to know which will be listed in powerpoints and lectures. BE SURE TO WATCH LECTURES!! They are actually interesting and you need to know the current events that he mentions because they will be on your exam!

I'm still not done with this class, but I can tell you this professor is the most caring and passionate professor I've had. He does not mind taking the time out of his day to help you. There are many Mylab assignments but they're all fairly easy. The tests are open book and open notes and taken online on Lockdown Browser. Take him!

As a person/professor he is great and one of most interesting I've ever had. Only problem is WAY too much busy work, especially when you're degree is not in marketing. Amazing guy, only reason I wouldn't take again is the ridiculous amount of homework

As a human being/ caring professor, Austen is great! However, the exams feel almost impossible to get a decent grade on because he chooses questions on topics that we only LIGHTLY discussed in class or he chooses the tiniest detail from the powerpoint. I just wish he would align the exam more with what he's teaching in class.

First off, there is a decent amount of homework in this class. However, we can blame whoever designs the course and not Austen. As long as you are familiar with the content and where it is in the book, you should get a good grade on the exam because it is open note open book. I recommend going to class because he will mention current events.

Prof Canonica is a great professor. He's very relaxed but is passionate about marketing. He includes a lot of real life examples that make the material relevant and easy to understand. Uses Connect to homework, it's pretty time consuming but the only other grade is the 4 exams we take, open book/notes. Overall a positive experience with this class.

Super chill professor, really nice guy and really clear with what you have to do for credit. Each chapter has long learnsmarts, a simple quiz, and analytic (word problem), and a mini sims (which are annoying but easy). The exams are open note and book but proctored, but really straightforward. I would definitely take him again for another class

Professor Canonica provides relevant, real life examples throughout his teaching. He even goes so far as to include examples that are not listed in the textbook in many, if not all, of his lectures. These often include his own experiences, as well. He is very prompt with his communication responses. My favorite professor thus far.

Professor Canonica is great! MAR2023 has 12 chapters (12 smart books/quiz/ analytics/ mini sim). The work is on cengage. Smartbook take a while but the rest is easy. The exam answers come from his lectures and the book. USE the book during the test to pass. He mentions the key points in the lecture and you can use notes. TAKE HIM NOW!

Wow! Amazing Professor. Definitely recommend taking him! Only thing you need to do is participate. Very well organized and structured class. It would be great if ALL PROFESSORS were like him! Prof Canonica is a nice professor and loves to teach marketing. He is one of the youngest professors I've had which is nice because his examples are relatable, and he loves to use commercials to portray marketing. He is a great guy; however, we gave a lot of homework. The assignments are all fun and educational except for the Smartbook assignments.

He went out of his way to make sure i had access to the materials needed for classes and exams. he made lectures fun and interesting while giving great clear cut examples of the material from the textbook. he has been one of best professors i've had here at FAU.

Best professors, Class is very easy and organized when it comes to assignments. Homework is basically a smartbook, analytics, simbook, and mini quiz of 20 questions on McGraw-Hill . All HW is super easy and you get about a week and a half to complete, almost 2 weeks or so. Other than that you get 4 exams, open note and open-book but proctored.

Great professor, one of the best professors I have taken at FAU. I actually really enjoyed the Mini-sims and Analytics assignments, it allows you to put what we learn in class into practice! I got an A if you do all the assignments on time and you are present in class you should be good. The professor made class fun by sharing recent examples.

Professor Canonica is very clear on his grading and implements a smartbook with McGrawHill that provides many assignments that might be tedious but they help you understand the topics well. I enjoyed this intersession class and professor Canonica provided us with all the tools needed to succeed in the class. Excellent professor! Would take again!

The class was reasonable and easy enough to achieve a good grade, and Canonica is inspirational. Great professor + TA. Gives great feedback, the lectures are informative PLUS not boring at all. Have notes on the videos+articles in the lectures and you'll definitely pass with an A. Highly recommend getting the loose-leaf textbook. I bought it and highlighted the important things without having to write a lot of notes. Open notes/book tests.

Prof. Canonica's class had 4 Proctored Exams, each had 3 chapters- (Open book/open notes). You also have an optional cumulative final that drops the lowest grade. The 3 chapters worth of hw were usually due on the Thursday before the exams, which were usually on a Friday. Lectures were easy to follow along. He only allows physical notes & book.

Professor C is a great educator and entertaining lecturer.

Took him for a 6-week course. DO NOT take his class if you have limited time. Reading chapters/doing hw takes up alot of time, which affected my grade the most. Other than that a full semester course should be fine, hes a super positive guy which makes him be a bit funny and seem corny at sometimes but it was great lol

His tests are proctored with Proctorio but are simple. He doesn't take attendance, but he does go over current events that are included in each exams. Take him!!!

A printed copy of the text book is recommended, it's open book exams but you can't use the online text during. Professor C is by far my favorite professor at FAU. He was so encouraging, teaches you everything you need to know and responds quickly to any issues. Stick to his schedule you will do fine.

this is the best professor i've had in all my years at FAU, very entertaining and informative lectures. clear and easy to follow course structure (you know when all tests and assignments will be due from the start). brings lots of new snacks for everyone for each class. super easy to reach outside of class,and very accomodating.

I wish I could take him for every class. This is the only class I looked forward to, and I felt like I learned something from it. He brings snacks to class and has a special surprise at the end of the year. He is very animated and doesn't just read off powerpoints. I wish every professor cared about me as much as Professor Canonica.

He will grade you based on participation and will focus more on participation and presentations but he is a fair grader and will help you lear a lot.

Took him for consumer business in the summer, despite the short term he got through all the material and made it interactive. He genuinely cares for his students and seeing them succeed. Although this is an in-person course only Professor Canonica makes it interactive and enjoyable. He has good energy and teaches the material with real-world scenarios. This is the second class I've taken with him and I am glad I did. He truly cares about his students which is something you don't see in many professors.10/10 recommend!!

If you put in the work and establish an open line of communication with Professor Canonica, he will respect you and ensure you do what it takes to succeed. The course was long (2hr 50mins) and had a moderate amount of busy work, but he made it enjoyable by enthusiastically teaching the class every time. I wish I could take a course with him again!

Prof. Canonica is very well-spoken, funny, and makes it easy to participate, but the class meets fewer times since he teaches the material quickly, so show up while it's running. The simulation is the main workload, with just a few mini quizzes, one presentation, and one paper on the side.
