I would say that Professor Newport is a fair professor overall. He gives good feedback and is always willing to help students with papers that are assigned. He is lecture heavy although that may seem worse at 7 am however he is engaging in those lectures.

He helps you out when needed, and likes going in depth of the upcoming assignment to make sure he covers all criteria. When grading or publishing in assignment, he makes sure to let know what he wants, and how to meet that expectation.

Professor Newport takes the time to make sure that you understand the content that you are given. The class does khan academy at least once a week. He also calls on you by random but you always get the chance to pass on a certain question but, you will get called on to answer a different question. Overall a great professor.

Mr. Newport was a great teacher to have my first year at GCU. He taught the material well and always let us out early if we finished. The only homework for this class was finishing essays, which we only had three in the semester. He gave really clear feedback on each essay that we did, and he spent multiple weeks covering the requirements.

This professor keeps class pretty engaging and fun, even at 7 am. The class was very insightful on all topics taught. He does a wonderful job at teaching what your assessments will be based on. Also gives plenty of time to complete assignments.

This teacher teaches pretty well, I enjoy his sense of humor and how he gives all of his students a spotlight in the class. The work is challenging but nothing I couldn't handle. My biggest takeaway about this class is that there's a lot of group work. Personally, that type of work was more tedious but it's nothing on Mr. Newport.

This teachers teaching style included heavy loaded lectures in power point style that usually had tasks built in to it. The only suggestion I could give is to have a QR code students can scan to access the power point later on for the people who attended that class that day.

His teaching style is definely more hands on, he also really likes group work. He does a great job teaching and if you message him on halo he is pretty quick to respond. He doesn't like when you end your essay or paper with in conclusion, so I'll do just that. In conclusion, anytime you have a chance to take his class do it!

Gives good feedback, class is very easy, your participation and work ethic depends on what grade you have. Professor is very funny and doesn't keep you longer than he needs to in class I think the classes are usually an hour instead of the whole hour and 45 minutes.

Dr. Newport is a very funny guy, he enjoys connecting with his students and making class conversation. All quizzes you take he lets you work with a partner and simply just look up the answers. All the essays are very short compared to you traditional essays. Dr. Newport offers extra credit if you donate blood as well.

Professor Newport is a fair guy. If you show up, participate, and turn in good work you will receive a good grade. He pretty understanding if you can't make a deadline too. The content was not for me, but being a required class he made the writing journey simple and effective.

Overall an amazing guy and professor. Pretty easy work, gives strict but good feedback on rough drafts so you can do better on the final one. One thing though, his AI checkers kinda suck lol it showed I used AI for more than half of my paper when I didn't BUT once I spoke with him and showed him proof, everything was resolved.
