This class was very fun and interesting. She gives out extra credit and she will take of the lowest test score at the end of the semester. There is also a 10 minute presentation that you have to do along with an activity for the class, but it really isn't as bad as you think, I got a really good grade on mine.

She's an easy professor, explains the material throughly and will help you when you need it. The activities she made us do made me understand the material better. I would take her again!

Ms. Willard made the content inside of the book very clear. Would definitely take her again.

Professor Willard handed out chapter outlines before each lecture which made taking notes easy. She also spoke in a way that told you when you should "write this down". She told us before each quiz and test exactly what would be covered so we didn't waste our time when studying. 5-hour class flew by! I hope I get her for another class!

I loved this teacher- this is the only class i actually feel like i learned something! The notes are long and boring, but she gives you a print out to fill in, so it is not hard. She tells you exactly what to study for tests and quizes and they are the same as the notes almost word for word. Minimal group work, but i am shy and i made it out okay!

This is one awesome professor! Ties in her very interesting lectures with everyday life scenarios whenever possible. Even gives surveys and shows videos (cool ones!) There are pop quizzes, but she'll tell you everything that will be on them and give you 10 minutes to study before. Not only great at teaching, but she really cares about her students

She's a great teacher. I'm almost done with her class. Unfortunately a sub is taking over for her and is definitely a different style than Yakushev teaches. Her lectures flew by. I am not an 8am person, but I didn't get sleepy once in her class. Study notes for tests. Pop quizzes aren't bad at all. You'll do fine if you study and take notes.

You will like her class and her class is easy. Everything is from the outline that she provides in class. There will be random quizzes so you better not skip. I studied really hard but i ended up getting a B. She will recommend to buy the book but DONT BUY IT. WE NEVER USED IT IN CLASS!!!

Professor Willard-Yakushev is wonderful about giving very clear outlines and expectations. If you show up, pay attention and do the work it should be an easy pass. The homework isn't hard and doesn't take much time to do. While she does have pop quizzes there is also 10 minutes to study and she does tell you what could be on the quiz.

She is a great teacher, she uses many helpful exams and offer a few optional extra credit assignments, I highly suggest her class.

Yakushev was a great professor, she inspired me to the field of psychology and made the lectures very interesting and great! I loved her class! 5 pop quizzes in the beginning of class time however she makes you circle the words she will give you on the quiz and gives you 10 min to study, You can drop the lowest scores as well as the final.

I took Yakushev as a guest student, but I would take her again. She had clear lectures, took us what was going to be on the pop quizzes and exams, and made us do 5 online labs that didn't take long. She had lots of stories, interactive lectures, and some group work, and was super approachable and nice.

Awesome professor! Her lectures are very interesting. Gives an average amount of work but she gives you a heads up about it. She doesn't really read your homework in depth as long as she sees you get the idea. Her final is optional too.

I loved taking her class. As long as you put in the effort then you'll pass. I never bought the text book... everything I needed was in her notes. you HAVE to show up for class or else anything that's due that day you'll get a 0 unless of course there's an emergency that day. She's a really good professor and she knows how to get you to understand and remember the material.

Mrs. Willard - Yakushev is my favorite professor by far. I've taken her for 3 different psychology classes now & have never been disappointed. She's really funny and will almost always give you real life examples for everything. Plus, all of her powerpoints are online so that plus the book make it easy to catch up.

Best professor at Macomb! She is so sweet and caring and understanding with other students. She has a clear grading criteria. I am taking her for Child Development this semester which is her first time teaching it. If you need to take any psych classes, make sure you get in a class with her!

This professor responds quickly to emails and is very helpful. The class itself has a lot of work considering it's an 8 week course but that is something you should expect. She will help you if you need it and posts videos that correlate with the chapters to help you gain a better understanding. I would absolutely take her again, she's awesome!

Professor Yakushev is awesome! She is super interactive with her students and gives awesome feedback. She's quick to reply to emails and grades her assignments the day of! Tests are easy... ONLY IF YOU PAY ATTENTION AND STUDY. Extra credit is offered and homework assignments are chill. She does have online quizzes that are timed (10 points).

She is a great professor. Her lectures are engaging and interesting. And she gives you chapter outlines. I only had to use the book for assignments because I had all the info from her lectures. Her tests are right off the study guide and overall she is a legit teacher. But I had a hard time trusting her after she told us she was an avacado thief.

She's a wonderful professor who genuinely cares about the subject she teaches. She is kind and professional and everything is presented enthusiastically. Psychology, with adult and child, is not my area of interest; however, I took this course as a requirement for my BSN and I'm glad to have had her as a professor.

Online Class. Each week consisted of two 25 question tests, 2 discussion board (reply to at least 1 peer), 2 assigments (video + applying), and reading modules (writing notes and sending the photos of your notes) Course wasn't so bad, sounds like a lot of work, but you can do it if you have time management. She also drops one test grade.

I absolutely loved her lectures. Although most of the class was lecture, she made them fun. You COULD buy the book for this class. But, as long as you're there everyday and take notes, you don't need it.

Lots of power points and note taking. She does encourage peer interaction. The assignments were fun and short. I enjoy her life stories. The class was a really a good one.

My first online class and zero complaints. Do you work & study for test. Mandatory reading guides, but became very helpful with tests. Drops lowest test score. Very clear syllabus, very organized, extremely punctual with grading assignments. I would like to take a lecture class with her.

Love this professor. She gave outlines for each chapter which made it very easy. She also gave study guides for the tests. She was entertaining in her lectures. There is a 6-8 page paper thats due at the end of the semester but she splits the paper into pieces so its much easier than sending the whole paper at once. Great professor!

Easiest class ever! She was super understanding when I was having stomach issues and went to multiple doctors appointments and had a tough time turning in my assignments on time. All of her quizzes and exams were on quizlet! This was my favorite online class I took this summer! Highly recommend. All of the information related to current issues.

Class was easy if you make yourself a schedule. Must participate 3 days/week. 2 chapters a week, 1 discussion forum/chapter due Thurs & respond to 1 person, reading guide for each chapter and show proof, easy point assignments in MindTap. Tests are 25 questions/30 minutes, but pretty simple if reading guide is done properly. Drops lowest test grade

Best Prof ever! She wants everyone to succeed. Class is easy if you participate. You are required to participate at least 3 days a week. She gives very good feedback and is always there to help

This is one of my favorite professors at macomb. She gives great lectures and lots of examples to help you understand the Terms more. She makes this class fun. You can only skip classes up to 5 times, but if you go to class and listen, then you will pass. You only need your book to catch up on missed lectures or to understand material more.

She's great, very approachable. Gives you every tool you need to succeed and get an A. Don't necessarily need the book, just stay up on discussions and quizzes and you will be fine. The paper seems daunting but it is broken up into pieces. Would recommend.

Prof Willard is an amazing professor. I've had her twice now and would take her so many more times if I could. She makes the classroom enviroment very comfortable and shes super funny and always has relatable class material from her own life with her children.

Very passionate about what she is teaching. Has online quizzes on some chapters, two simulations (and discussion posts) to go with them, two papers, and four exams. She makes you work for your grade, but gives good feedback through Canvas especially. She does lectures on what will be on her tests, and does not read straight from the book.

Professor Willard is one of my favorite professors at Macomb. She gives 3 exams, the final exam is optional. You have 2 news letters which are super easy. All quizzes are on canvas and straight from the notes. If you show up pay attention and take clear notes you will be fine for the exams, homework and quizzes! & yes she does reply quick via email

This was one of the best courses I've ever taken and I've used the material in every course I've taken since - even though I'm not an education major.

This was my third time taking her and I would take her again! Her PowerPoints were interesting and tests/quizzes were easy as long as you take notes and study. We had 4 papers, 1 every other week which was manageable. Never felt overwhelmed (this class was during quarantine so had nothing else better to do anyways).

I took psyc2450 online so the course was only 8 weeks. There was a lot of information to cover but if you do the work you will be completely fine! Extra credit is also offered, which is a plus!

I would recommend this professor for this class. She provides feedback on all assignments. The genders class is 12 week class that is not fast paced. I recommend reading the chapters and focusing on the studies done.

Professor Willard-Yakushev was an amazing professor. Her class was easy as long as you followed along and did what you were expected to complete that week. Feedback was amazing, she is definitely on top of it. There are chapter quizzes each week but they are only 20 questions long and there are either 2-4 LearningCurves that really help studying.

Hands down the best psychology professor I’ve ever had! Her feedback was amazing, and she cares about her students. Discussion questions help you apply what is read from the textbook/articles. Her assignments were thorough and engaging. Clear outlines on the reading material and what is expected. Promptly answered any questions/concerns. 10/10!!!

I loved everything about this class and this professor. Shes a fair grader, offers extra credit, gives study guides before tests, & goes at a perfect pace with lectures. The text book is required but a used book was fairly cheap and easy to find online. I would easily take her again for another psych course.

I found this professor to be honestly incredible. She is very understanding if are not able to attend class a specific day. Her lectures are very interactive and allowing you to ask questions and share experiences. She has been by far my favorite professor I have had at macomb. That being said there is a quite heavy workload.

Four exams, last one is optional if you have a high grade. 5 essay assignments; 3 are reflections and 2 are online sources. Responds and grades quickly. about 70-ish questions for exams.

Great professor! Great lectures and got the class to interact with one another. Gave reviews before exams so it made tests a lot easier. Always made sure everyone understood what we were learning. She is super caring and always answered any questions I had even not related to that particular class ( going to university) after class.

However, you'll be doing a lot of reading and writing in her class. You'll also have weekly discussions, quizzes, and assignments to complete, so it's important to plan your schedule accordingly.

She's a expert in her field . The online class was palatable just be prepared to read and work and do a lot of discussions any typing. The quizzes were out of the e book. Most of the test were not hard or easy you must simply study. Response time to emails is fair and quick and to the point.

You will need to be writing everything that is presented because it's on the exams, if you don't you will not pass. Otherwise, she's a very sweet professor and will help you with any questions that you might have. In every lecture, you'll need to talk with others about simple questions/tasks on the board which makes it a fun environment.

Shes a very understanding professor if something goes wrong. She teaches well and the tests are very easy if you complete the full study guide that she gives in a week advance. She mainly lectures but its not boring if you enjoy psychology. She is also approachable and understanding in person, don't be intimidated by the way she emails.

She's a good teacher, gives decent feedback, lots of extra credit opportunities. Variety of videos each week to help understand. Tests have severe time limit. You will be writing quite a bit. No lectures, so textbook heavy. Just remember to stay away from gender stereotypes in later weeks and you'll do fine!
