Great class shes let you know exactly whats on the test, she let us redo the tests after they were graded for a better grade, group projects were easy and homework was a breeze

She will let you re-do almost any test/paper. A very easy grader. Classes are fun, sometimes informative, and occassionally boring. She usually lets class out early. She's easy to get along with but is somtimes preoccupied with her life outside of class.

Best teacher that I ever had. Very easy to talk to if you have any personal problems. Great senes of humor. All around, a excellant teacher

Good teacher. Horrible at explaining homework or abstracts. Just kind of "lets you go" but leniency towards grading makes up for it, I guess.

ave is just plain awesome! she has tons of experience and can pretty much answer any question you have regarding teaching certificationa dn whatnot. She is funny and easy to get along with, in addition, she will do almost anything to help you out with your grade if you are struggling

How refreshing it is to finally have a teacher who wants you to succeed. She seriously goes out of her way to make sure each of her students does well...even if that means giving you an extension because your schedule just can't handle the work load. She was a great teacher and really knew her stuff.

Ave is great and she ALWAYS returns emails and phone calls. Very clear about assignments and if you're late handing in a couple(or all)of them, she will always accept them with no penalties attached because she wants her students to succeed

Ave is a great teacher. She almost always returned my emails or phone calls. She does not appricate slackers and if you are going to college to be a teacher, which most of her students are then you shouldn't be a slacker. She gives very long assignments, but I believe she prepares her students to become great teachers.

Professor Latte has great passion for teaching this class ....she was an excellent professor....she gave us excellent topics and presented them with such enthusiasm. I would recommend her to everyone who is an Education Major...I am glad she is my advisor and I will learn a lot from her. She is one of the reasons I cannot wait to teach!

There is not much h.w. in this class and it's very interesting. The class meets only once a week which is nice. Be ready to participate lots with your classmates and teacher if you want a good grade. I got an A and enjoyed my time spent with her.

Ave was a great teacher to say the least. There are 6 essays to do and different simulations. Participation and interaction with classmates is a major part of this class. It's fun and acutally interesting. Not boring at all! Ave is willing to help out her students and is really just a nice person.

Ave is a great teacher and very supportive as well. There is a lot of work in her class, a lot of writing, but it isn't difficult. If your major is Education, take her class for sure!

I'd recommend her as a professor for an easy A. Plus, she is very nice. However, I admit that class was a bit too interactive for my taste and some of the assignments were aggravating, but at least there were some fun times as well. If you prefer a more structured class where you take sit, listen, and take a test, she may not be for you.

Good teacher to take for sociology! Easy going and a very easy grader. The class basically consists of a bunch of papers about you and things you do. I saw tons of students in my class handing in papers weeks late and still getting full credit! Take her for an easy A!

Ave is an amazing teacher for this course! she is an easy grader; all you need to do is write papers about yourself which is never hard to do and participate in class which will always give you extra credit for. the textbook is pointless so dont waste your money its was a pleasure being in her class even though i took it at 8am; i deff recommend he

Professor Latte is a really nice lady who is dedicated to her studies in early childhood education. She wants her students to do well and provides extra credit along with opportunities to revise work, to make this possible. Lecture can drag on at times, but in general it is a very fun and interesting class to take.

Unbelievable teacher informative,helpful, covers information in the book and activities in class were great.For having the class for only 9 winterm days I got more out of this class than I did in a 15 wk course!!! A really, really nice woman and great teacher. I missed her class more than a few times due to work and she never yelled at me. All around a great teacher and amazing person definitely take her class.

Literally the best professor I've had at Brookdale. There is no tests/exams in her class, just lots of (easy) papers. This is the easiest class if you just pay attention, come to class and hand in your work. Ave is a wonderful professor and really cares about her students. I recommend you take her if you get the opportunity.

This class and Ave changed my life. She is an angel. Such a genuine and nice woman. I felt like I could go to her for anything. The class is so interesting and fun. Yes she actually makes it fun. Yes there is alot of writing and essays but there is no tests, quizzes, midterm or final. Might be the best class and teacher offered at Brookdale.

I took Ave's SOCI 105 class during the winter semester and loved it. It was a ten day course so there was a lot of work but she was so helpful and understanding. She's such a warm and loving professor. I have so much respect for her especially since she has a doctorate and still encourages you to call her by her first name. She's just wonderful!

I loved Ave. I had her for Soci 105. She was always prepared for class and always had good examples, games or videos to go along with her lesson. She really opened my mind to how we interact with other people and other cultures. You should take this class it is an easy A. their are multiple essays but they are not hard she is an amazing peson

Dr. Latte has such extensive experience in the classroom, she's an excellent education teacher. This is my third class with her, and it's wonderful. Some of the material is challenging, and the tests can be difficult, but if you show you care, and ask questions, you'll be ok. She teaches you to analyze and think deeply. She's an amazing woman.

Ave is, by far, the best professor I have ever taken. She is so helpful, so caring, and really makes almost anything easy to understand. She really wants her students to succeed so if you are feeling lost, do NOT be afraid to ask for further explanation. I would take her a million times if I could.

She is best teacher I've taken at Brookdale. Really knows her stuff when it comes to education. Shes caring but do not miss a day unless its important! she takes her class seriously and the minute you lose track you are in risk of missing important material. I have taken her for all my educations classes. Overall she tries to make the class fun.

She does use e-portfolio and I will admit it is very hard to use, but Ave always took time to explain how to use it step by step. She is extremely caring about every student and is going to advise my student teaching hours! She is the best mentor !

LOVED DR. LATTE! Her method of teaching isn't tests and quizzes every week. She makes learning fun with in-class projects but challenges you at the same time. If you complete everything in your portfolio and put some effort into it you are guaranteed an A. Dr. Latte helps you put everything together and answers any questions you may have.

Shes awesome! I never write these reviews and I had to for her because she was the best! She uses projects and field trips with small papers to determine if your learning instead of quizzes and tests. I really enjoyed her class and wish I had something I could take her for in the future.

Professor Latte is absolutely amazing! This was my second course with her, she gives very few assignments - so complete them on time and you'll do perfect. She grades based on a point-system (you'll be able to calculate your grade throughout the semester). Attend class whether on zoom or in person (doesn't require zoom camera on!) Highly recommend

I really enjoy Dr. Latte, my only complaint is she is super confusing and complicates simple concepts. You have one exam, and two papers. VERY caring about the student and their lives. 10/10 would take again. She is very sweet, and loves her students. Just be prepared for being kind of lost, but she will help you.

Dr. Latte is a good professor, although her workload is lengthy if you follow her instructions and fix any feedback on assignments, you'll do great. Attendance is mandatory though and she does give extra credit. Her quizzes are open book, and she informs you what to look out for. She is very understanding and knows her stuff. Take her class

I had dr Latte for Teaching techniques, she was very good at teaching the subject. I'd recommend taking her for teaching majors.

Honestly, a very accommodating professor. Her feedback is quite helpful, and she is quite respectful when pointing out mistakes in your work rather than condescending. As someone newish to Sociology, the course material was pretty eye opening. Reading the textbook is very very important, and it will definitely help understand the weekly homeworks.

AMAZING! Truly loved her class and character. Made me feel excited about and confident in teaching. She is very knowledgeable and kind. Lots of classmates complained about her work, but it is pretty straightforward, easy, and not abundant. She does not want to see anyone fail. The textbook is a must for class. dr. latte is a wonderful professor! she really cares about all of her students and helps them with every question. she lets you redo assignments for a higher grade. no exams, just 3 quizzes and a group project. pay attention to every assignment on canvas. her lectures are great and she loves participation.

Prof Latte is very knowledgeable and caring, but her class can be disorganized at times. Using Unstuck study along with the textbook and attending lectures helps manage the workload.
