EASY A!!! This class is really easy (the midterm and final have so much CHOICE -- like answer 5 out of 10 and they consist of short answer, ID, and T/F). The topics aren't that bad (ie. imprisonment) although she can get a bit dry. I think the reason many hate her is because she is kind of a **** to the class although in the end it's not that bad.

Material is interesting if you actually pay attention. Everything is taught in Lecture, no slides on Gaucho space. You HAVE to go to lectures or you miss films and slides, which are a big majority of whats on the exams. The readings can be really boring, my advice just remember the titles and authors. Quizlet will be your bestfriend.

Gordon's lectures don't have much to do with the tests at all. The tests focused on the weekly readings assigned. My TA wasn't the best and would quiz us each week even though other profs didn't. The class was pretty easy and the tests were mostly short answer, some T/F, matching and then an essay.

Lectures basically summarize the main ideas from reading assignments. Lecture slides are not posted but every week's key concepts are. No textbook, but homework is long posted readings with guided reading questions. Tests are memorization-heavy, but very straightforward. Two classes per week (1 lecture, 1 movie).

Professor Gordon was a dry lecturer but who was very passionate about the topics. Lots of reading and very long tests however her sections are helpful and half the lectures have a movie. Try to stay awake but I recommend having at least one friend in the class to take notes as well

This class is really straight forward and is a great introduction to sociology. The readings aren't too long and are interesting for the most part. Plus every week you watch a movie. If you show up to lecture and do the readings, there's no reason you shouldn't get an A. Gordon also posts key concepts every week which act like a study guide

Easy A. Go to lecture, take notes, and get the general gist of the readings, etc. and you can get an A. Tests were IDs, short answer, and matching quotes to author/titles of the reading. Concepts are easy to grasp and mainly tested on the large overarching themes. Would 100% recommend her for SOC 1

Probably the easiest soc. class and there's no textbook, hw, or papers. You should attend lecture so you don't have to read as much and Thursdays she shows cool documentaries. TAKE THIS CLASS.

You don't evn hv to go to lecture to pass bc she posts key concepts @ the end of week on what you studied + thats basically all you need in order to pass. But go on Thursdays since you watch a film + have film exercises (easy) that translate as points. I would say stay on top of the reading, do the reading qs, and review key concepts to pass.

This class is average in the sense of how clear the professor is. She rambles just a bit but manages to stay on top of it, which I appreciate. She can have angry fits randomly. The course itself requires some writing papers (during the midterm and the final in the class) and the content is very introductory, so its not too complex.
