Best professor I had a Hunter and they are hard to come by.

he is nice, teaches well, explains clealry, as you go up in higher classes with him he expects more from you, he can be very confusing on exam purposely so you can study your brains out, so u shouldnt be lassy person. usually 2 exams per semmester 50/50. you fail one exam u screwed. & dont try to cheat the exams are diffrent next to your person.

He is the only reason why I am taking Park Avenue CPA exam review at Hunter. He is the best professor in the accounting department of Hunter.

He turns material which is extreamly hard (CPA-Law School-level Business Law), into easy-to-follow stories that help you remember the law forever. Very nice person, amazing professor. No homework, no papers, no readings. Just show up to class, listen, take the few notes that he gives, and take 2 tests. East and fun A+!!!

One of the best professors. I suggest you not to miss his classes because he gives very interesting lectures and you will really really really need those notes. Also do good on the midterm, it is very important because the final is much harder.

the best thats all i can say bout him

Knows his Tax Law; but more importantly, makes sure his students understand Tax Law. I'm in law school now, and can honestly say he's the reason i've got 3 A's so far in my Taxation classes. Once you have your basics down, it's all uphill from there; and Liveson knows how to set our a rock-solid foundation! Amazing Prof!

I miss Tom and Sally! He's funny and clear, great professor, just show up for class and take notes, there's really no need to read the textbook. 1 quiz, 1 midterm, and a final.

Liked him a lot. Funny, cristal clear. Easy exams, only about what discussed in the class. i would sugest to read the book any way, but no real need in it if you attend all the classes and take good notes. I think i'm gonna miss Tom and Sally as well. :)Any way, if i will be able to, i'll take more classes with him (if there are any).

Wonderful professor, one of the best at Hunter College. Explains everything with great clarity. He makes even the dullest of the business law I topics interesting with his funny examples. As long as you go to every class, pay close attention, and take good notes an A is easy to get. Don't worry so much about the textbook readings.

Prof Liveson is an amazing teacher. I had him for Corp.Tax and I learned so much. Just go to class and take notes and the exams will be a breeze. He's really funny, and he let us out 45 min early (I took him in Summer 1).

He is one of the best prof. I had so far. It is so easy to get an A in his class as long as you go to class. You do not need to study long for a test either. Even though he is an easy prof., he teaches the materials serious. Nothing else to but Excellent.

One of the best Accounting Professor at Hunter College. I took him for Business Law 1, and two taxation classes-373 and 473 in the late 90's and into 2000's. He gives great stories and examples to make the class more interesting for all the students.

I took 3 of his classes when I was still at Hunter for my undergrad degree. Now I'm doing my MBA at Baruch but still think he's the BEST professor EVER!!! I never used the book, attended all classes because I was so looking forward to it,got all A's in his classes. He's funny, smart, makes classes easy & most importantly, you LEARN!!

Good professor, CLEARLY explains all of the concepts, the class is more about understanding and implying rather than just memorizing. His exams aren't very hard, although you have to understand clearly the laws of the topic discussed.

Took Business Law I, II and III and Business Taxes. He is by FAR the best teacher in the Accouting department at Hunter. Take as many courses as you can with him, you will enjoy every single class.

Amazing prof. He uses everyday examples to clarify topics. I used to just take very good notes as he was speaking and review from the notes to prepare for the test. Great professor, his exams aren't difficult. He gives practice problems, which are very similar to the exam, and you actually learn in his class.

One word: PHENOMENAL. If you cannot do good (at least a B or higher) with this professor, what can I say, you need some help. Seriously this professor explains everything so well it's really all about how well your brain can process the information in the end.

Been at Hunter for 4 years and he's one of the best professors I've had hands down. Class consists of quiz, midterm & final. The material is covered in the textbook, but he does a great job of simplifying complex material. Class can be tedious, but then again its is a law course. He tries to make difficult boring material easy with funny examples

Do yourself a favor and definitely take Prof. Liveson's classes. He is simply the best there is. Makes somewhat dry material entertaining and easy; breaks the monotony of the law course with jokes and funny stories. If you go to class and take good notes --- you won't even have to peruse the textbook, he is that good. Excellent professor!

His exams are simple for the most part. Most of his exam questions have only 2 answers so if you guess you got a 50% chance of getting it correct. The textbook is not necessary since exams are based on class examples not TEXTBOOK. Do well on the exams and you will get a high grade. Do poorly on those then expect a low grade since there's no curve.

He is one of the best professors I ever had. Take his class, and you will understand a whole majority of what he's talking about. Never used powerpoint, just writes and draws Tom, Al, Ellen, or whoever it is, and their relationships to each other. Multiple choice, short answer tests.

If you have the opportunity to take this course, do it! Professor Liveson is amazing, I'm typically the type to just read the book but he really does explain everything a lot better. Just go to class and take notes and you'll do well.

i can't believe how good of a professor he is, i often catch myself thinking what life would be like if all my professors taught like him. makes material EXTREMELY easy to understand with funny examples, but if you never show up you will not do good at all. or if you never pay attention in class (a VERY bad mistake). Professor Liveson is a great professor. He's friendly, and he makes his lectures enjoyable. Attendance isn't mandatory, there isnt any homework for the class and you are graded by one quiz, one midterm and the final. His handwriting is a little bit on the sloppier side. I loved this class. We didn't have any homework and as long as you came to class and took notes on his examples you could pass the class. I never even touched the textbook. Liveson did the impossible: made me interested in law. He made law fun and interesting for me with his riddles, stories, and situations with all his characters. He simplified terms and definitions in a way a 10 year old would understand and related it to real life. Very easy A; just show up, take notes, and you'll pass with flying colors!

He is the BEST professor I've had. I am not at all a morning person but his morning class woke me right up and even brought out a few silenced laughters. I had to balance four other classes, most of which were really difficult for me but he taught this class so well that it's engraved in your brain, I studied 20min before an exam and I passed!

Honestly, other professors should take classes from him on how to teach. He teaches the material in a way that you're never going to forget. Please do yourself a favor and take him. There is no better professor than him. He knows his material very well and if you get below a B it's your fault because everything is from his lectures.

My final grade was made up of a 15pt quiz, 45pt midterm, and 40pt final. Attendance is very important to him AND to your overall grade. You must go to class to understand the examples he gives, which was hard for me b/c I work on the side. He bases exam questions on these examples and stories, and will favor you if you show up to listen to him.

If you get anything less than a B then you did something wrong. I still remember each and everything he taught in class because he is amazing at teaching. This is a good class to take if you dont want any homework, no reading textbooks, no mandatory attendance. Tests are easy and you will do good if you just show up and pay attention. Only three assignments, quiz, midterm and final .

Professor Liveson's ACC280 class has been the most enjoyable class I've taken yet. His lectures are very interesting and he's overall a funny guy. We had 1 quiz, 1 midterm, and 1 final. They are all MC or T/F questions with one super short answer question. He gives amazing notes on bb which are all you need to pass the class.

Professor Liveson's ACC280 class is a gem. His lectures are engaging and humorous, making even challenging material enjoyable.
