Lenient teacher, she is open to suggestions, and not stuck only by her way of teaching. Has a tendency to rush through her lectures, and she will never let you leave early especially during night classes. Overall, great professor, def recommended.

Very good teacher, she'll answer any question you need. She can give out way too much homework (which is only 5% of your grade) & she'll keep you literally the entire 4 hours. But she wasn't boring, and the class kept me from falling asleep. Just show up, pay attention, do well on the quizzes and you'll do well on the tests, and you'll pass.

She is very knowledgeable about her topics and always manages to be in a good mood each class (despite the rest of class being silent). TEACHING is a gift and Aydeh got it!! she is one of my best professors, she is really helpful and she cares a lot.Her notes are the best too because she writes down each step which makes it easier to always go back and understand while solving your H.W. she is so fair. She knows what she's teaching. Quiz every week. Hwk is not turn-in but you have to do hwk to understand and be prepared for quiz and exams. Her class is not easy. You'll need to put some effort to get an A

Professor Selameh enjoys teaching. She gives a quiz every week and tests every four, but her exams are lifted straight from the text. She covers 3 sections of material a week. Extremely fair teacher, she aims the tests toward the overall skill of the class. No reservations.

I took the previous math class before I took this, and honestly if she taught every math class I would take her. She makes you work for it, by assigning and collecting HW every day but she gives great notes and examples in class. She is always prepared & I highly recommend her. It is because of her I understand math! She is pretty as well!

I have taken Calculus two previous times (dropped once & got a D the next time) and this is the only time that I have thoroughly understood the concepts and passed the class. She never makes the student feel dumb. She posts amazing study guides for tests. You cannot fail her class unless you don't commit any time to your studies.

Professor Selameh is amazing she is by far the best math teacher I have taken. Quizzes once a week which I like because it keeps you on track. Four exams and one final. If you need math and she is available do not miss an opportunity to take it with her.

Literally the best math teacher Ive ever had, she teaches about 2 sections a day but their never too long and she gives us HW every day to practice the section but not many problems and the numbers she assigns are always in multiples of three always makes sure you understand the material we used the book everyday for HW she answers ALL QUESTIONS

I had Miss Aydeh for Prep for Algebra and she's a pretty good professor. She posts her notes, assignments, and homework on D2L. She has clear, legible hand writing, she'll let you use a calculator on tests when chapter 5 begins. Her methods are concrete, I would totally recommend her. If I could take her again, I would in a heartbeat.

One of the most organized and friendly professors I've had. Shes always on top of things. Posts test grades and class work right away on D2L. She makes math easier to understand. She is extremely friendly and patient. The world needs more professors like her. There are tests and HW but if you keep on top of it you will be fine.

This is my second time taking Aydeh Selameh, and she is amazing. We had a test every Thursday and after 3 quizzes we had a test. Study guides were provided. She wants you to succeed. Very accessible outside of class. Lectures are clear and concepts are clear. If you pay attention and do the work you will pass.

25% Final exam; 50% tests; 25% quizes. Quizes are very easy; she gives exact example problems for quiz/test/final exam. from the book. Drops lowest test and lowest 2 quizes. Teaches 1-2 sections a day, its great becasue there isn't too much information at a time.

I switched my math professor to Aydeh after last semester and Im extremely glad I did. She is super nice and very clear about what she expects from you. Her lectures are very thorough and answers all of your questions with kindness. She is very prompt when grading tests and quizzes and will give partial credit. Definitely happy with my switch!

Prof. Selameh is awesome! She is very sweet and explains everything very well. Homework is given out every class, but if you pay attention it'll be easy. She gets test grades back to you the same day you take it. Textbook is not required, but was very useful for me and has helped a lot. Tests/quizzes are just like the study guides she gives.

I tried 3 previous times to take Calc I with results ranging from upsetting to disparaging. Prof Selameh actually teaches. Her lectures are fast but clear. She is professional yet friendly and encouraging. Test or quiz every week, but that HELPS your grade as you can concentrate on a bit at a time. She offers helpful/specific practice. I got a B!!

You can tell when you talk to her that she is kind and wants you to pass. She uploads all of the notes and homework for the day immediately after class on D2L & isnt a professor who tries to trick you or over complicate the subject. You will have to study and dedicate time to the class, but stay on top of the hw and its a breeze.

I took my math courses with different teacher every semester and I got A from intermediate algebra to Calc 2. Ms. Aydeh is so far the best Math teacher in all those teacher I had in OCC! She is well organized, she give us little quiz before class so we have reason come in ready. She explains subjects clearly and grade fairly.

Professor Selameh is absolutely amazing. I took her for intermediate algebra and now i have her for statistics. She gives a decent amount of homework but it's great practice for the quizzes and tests. She gives you practice problems for the quizzes and tests and they are great examples. She truly cares about her student wants them to succeed.

I love her and i will recommend her and if u have been struggling with math your whole life after taking her class I guarantee you that u will start loving math. She is absolutely amazing and very sweet and she doesnt mind explaining things over and over until you understand. Thank you for being the best teacher.

Aydeh was wonderful. I just love her as a professor and I wish she was teaching 1100. Granted I only took 1050, she was clear, kind, was available to ask additional questions. If you need clarity she was more than happy to give it. She does like to stay on schedule though, if it was a higher up class it might have been more difficult.

Aydeh is a great teacher and a very kind person. I never understood math but she did an awesome job of explaining concepts and was very helpful and clear in her communication. Her policy for late work is strict, but as long as you keep up with the homework, you'll do great in the class. She is definitely my favorite teacher- highly recommend!

Professor Selameh is a great professor. She is really nice and she is fair in her grading as long as you show the work. There are 4 tests and 9 quizzes. She wants her students to do well. I like that she uploads the notes onto d2l right after class. she doesn't trick us on exams. Anything that is on the study guide is on the test. Take her!

Do not even think of listening to these bad reviews, I have taken Calculus 1 and 2 and failed both with other professors. Professor Aydeh is the only professor that has made me LOVE calculus and actually enjoy studying without feeling pressured. She is always available, responds quickly to emails, gives study guides, and is the BEST EVER overall.

Class was online due to Covid-19 but she made things very clear. Notes that were given correlate very well with the test. Really available outside of class. Makes stats a little less scary.

Excellent professor. She explains topics very well and always takes the time to answer questions and give a few extra examples. Extremely polite and well-spoken too. I will mention that she only grades tests and quizzes, but she drops the two lowest quizzes and lowest test, so a single mistake won't cost you a grade, even with me who sucks at math!

BEST PROF. EVER! She made calc. 2 really easy for us. Her tests are not hard if you do the reviews she gives you (very similar to the actual exams). She's amazing at explaining the class concepts, and she will always help you in and outside the class! Don't hesitate to take her class, just take it!

Class was virtual with prerecorded lectures. Lectures were easy to follow along and the completed notes did help if you're stuck on something. Clear grading criteria and expectations. No extra credit, but you do get to drop 2 homework assignments and 1 test which is more than generous. 5/5 would take Aydeh again for future classes.

One of the best math professors I have ever had. I almost feel like I shouldn't say this because now every student will want this teacher...I pray to god I can get this teacher for future math courses. She actually cares, doesn't try to trick you, and was very well structured with the material.

Super accessible outside of class, tests and quizzes are exactly like those shown in SI just different numbers, and there wasn't a test over 10 problems, except the final was a little more, super easy and the material was explained well. highly recommend you take her (also drops the lowest test and lowest 2 quizzes!)

Prof Selameh is very nice and understanding. I took her for MAT 1560 and did very well. The quizzes help a lot because they prepare you for the tests. She gives out study guides a week or two before a test and they helped me to get good grades. The numbers are just different on the actual test. Gives partial credit if we show enough work. TAKE HER!

I cannot say enough good things about this professor. She describes very clearly the grading criteria and ways in which you can earn extra credit throughout the semester. Very easy going with taking quizzes/exams early, and she always gives helpful answers to questions during quizzes or exams without giving the answer. She really cares about you.

There are weekly quizzes but don't be afraid of them, she'll let you know exactly what kinds of things to expect and they're very short.

The Professor was very accommodating when you cant come for class. She responds to her emails with in 24hrs. She is there to help you if you need extra. Her grading is very fair. She gave out extra credit. Would take her again.

Professor Selameh is the best math teacher I have ever had. She just explains concepts in such a easy to understand way. She often comes to class early before tests to answer questions. Her grading is fair and you don't get major penalties for minor errors.

She is good at explaining and showing you how to do the math problems. She is also a fair grader and will go the extra mile to help you. The only take away with me with this class is I felt the teacher rushed through the lectures. This was treated as an accelerated class. This was a 2-hour class, and we were never offered a 5 or 10 min break.

By far, the best math teacher I've had. She seriously cares about her students' success and offers any help outside of class. She is sweet, grades fairly, and drops the 2 lowest quizzes and 1 test. Instructor Selameh has been such an amazing teacher to work with. She is very proactive and cares about her students. I have always struggled with math, but she made it super easy to understand. Class was not mandatory, but you should go to understand the material. Homework was also not graded, however in order to succeed you should do it.

When I say you should take this professor for statistics, I don't mean no exaggeration. This professor was one of the few professors at OCC that I would take again. She is funny and very caring and really wants students to pass. The way she teaches this class is incredible and very easy. 10/10 BEST TEACHER EVER.

Ive had her for calc 2 before the pandemic. Take her for the love of GOD. She is very straight forward and she will give you study guides that will give you exactly whats on the exams.I wish i had her for every single classes.

I was so nervous to take Statistics, but lucky my classmate found Ms Selameh's class. She is an amazing Professor I just recommended her to two people I know who has to take Stats in the future. She explains the work in a way that we understood, she is great at answering questions and she grades assignments very fast. I 100% recommend her.

Calc 2 is said to be the hardest calculus class, and I understand why, but Ms. Aydeh genuinely made this class so easy to understand and follow. She gives many extra credit opportunities and always wants to help her students succeed. You can tell she really cares about her students. I wish she taught all of the classes I need to take!

Best Math Teacher I've ever taken - I went from struggling in College Algebra to making it through Calc II because of her. Even when I failed her class which was my own fault for not studying at all, I kept taking her because no one teaches like her. If you think you're bad at math, take her – she'll change that.
