She's nice enough, but not a great professor. Confusing at best.

The way this class was structured, there was minimal work at the beginning of the semester and the majority at the end, which was inconvenient but still manageable. Dr. Patnaik is very kind and willing to work with students individually. Participation in classroom discussion is important.

Ayesha is a very nice person but lacks some teaching criteria. She is very unclear what she wants in her assignments. She grades on a different rubric than the one given to you. She has more speeches than the other professors and a lot of them are on the spot. Outlines are very important for your grade so make sure they are thorough!

Professor Patnaik is a wonderful person who truly has a passion for her job. Patnaik wants nothing more than to see her students succeed and will do anything to help her students. Great feedback is given on speeches that is encouraged to be used while preparing for the next speech. I would not hesitate to recommend to recommend her to anyone.

Ayesha was a pretty good professor. She is really caring towards her students and wants to connect with them on a personal level. The class is graded on 3 speeches, 2 quizzes, and 1 take home final. She sometimes isnt clear about what she wants and then gives you a bad grade. I reccomend asking lots of questions so everything is clear.

She isn't clear with instructions especially online. She has assumed many of us know what we need to do but the instructions or guidelines don't mention it once. As a communications professor, she is horrible with communication which might seem ironic and funny until your grade represents that. If you get her, just ask a ton of questions. Trust me.

Though out the semester I was frequently confused. Some of my classmates didnt even receive the extra credit offered. I had emailed her numerous times but she didnt ever respond. Made instructions but left out many things in order to doc little points. Never graded on our participation like she said. Would definitely never recommend.

Anyone who says that she's a tough grader simply didn't put any effort into any of their speeches. I learned so much from this Professor. She makes college feel like college. It's worth your parents money or whoever is paying for your tuition, trust me.

SO BORING! She talks and goes on and on about things that are irrelevant. As long as you do the bare minimum you will pass. I had a few occasions come up and I had to miss class and ask for an extension on a deadline, and she had no issue. Besides the class being boring, her broken English, and the rambling, it is super easy to pass with an A.

She is by far the best professor I have had here at UW-La Crosse. She is so beyond caring and loves each and every one of her students. She does not live in Wisconsin, so we have online classes. She does not reply back to emails, but she gives out her phone number so it is easy to contact her. She is easy to work with and a very easy grader.

A laid-back, easy, yet beneficial class/professor to take. 3 speeches throughout the semester: 1 informative, 1 persuasive, and one group project. Great feedback is given, and a pretty understandable and easy grader. Lectures online get long and boring, but I think it is so worth it. Never any quizzes or busy work given. TAKE HER!

She wasn't great when you needed to email her...she'd send unprofessional responses. She also told our class multiple times that "it's not really possible to get an A on your speeches,"

Professor Patnaik runs an engaging class with helpful feedback. While lectures can drag, the assignments are manageable if you stay on top of things. unstuck study was a great study aid alongside the free textbook. Definitely worth taking if you need the credit.

I thought professor Patnaik was awesome, she is real! She is the most real professor I have ever had, and goes below surface level. She put out good info, gave good feedback, and SUPER accessible. If you put in the work you can get a A. I wish all my professors were like her.

I took it online, and attendance is only taken when we are presenting or sharing ideas, she says, "randomly taking a screenshot of who shows up". Very light workload, iykyk, 3 speeches that aren't so bad, just get it over with. Midway through the semester, and only have 4 real assignments that actually matter, excluding beginning of the year stuff.
