Test was easy

I feel Yuced!! I like her Sexy Eyes!!
Her class is so good/down to earth/ so sexy eyes../she explains so well...
in the time she takes to explain, I've already learned it myself.
Too worried about her eyes popping out of her head to concentrate....
she's alright! kinda boring but covers material well.

Cant teach. Watch Total Recall..find the character with her EYES
BORING! But I learned there are 285 tiles on the ceiling. Watch her scary EYES!
Classes are right from the textbook. Learn on your own, cause she cant teach
Text on tape, although she is nice
Tests are common for all sections. she can't teach - get out while you still can

Had her at UNBC and she was great... Get to know her and she'll help you huge.
test was easy, didn't learn much, learned on my own, classes were short but boring
Erratic, jumping all over the place. Nutty Prof but very good looking!! i thank you
She's a great Prof! She's not jumpy or anything, she goes by the text and there's no suprises ever on her tests! I highly recommend her and she's a real sweet lady too!
study directly from lecture notes!!! with her, you know what to expect on tests
Her tests are based on course material and she has a great ass!!
The textbook for this course was confusing and very hard to understand. She helped clarify and simplify the text material, making it much easier to understand. Tests were based on what she taught in class, and there were no unfair surprises. Great prof
She's the best Finance Prof!! Got an A just by doing all the assignments and studying hard for the final. She's really helpful when you ask her and her lectures are straight out of the text so no surprises. I highly recommend her and you'll learn!!
Awesome prof! She deserves an award! She loves what she does and shows it!! At times lectures may be boring, but just listen and you'll be fine!

One of the best in the Business School. She's a good teacher and she really tries to help the students succeed. If you have to take a finance class, try your best to get her as your teacher.
Awesome prof! Its too bad that in the higher levels of finance she's not there. Do the work and you'll be fine. Nice lady all round too.
nice lady but her lectures are waaaaaay too boring. don't bother going to class, just go over her power points
Good professor, who really wants to help you succeed. Always answered questions and gives hints on what questions will be on tests and exams. The only problem was that her lectures were really boring.
SHE IS A GEEK
good prof, go over slides and online m/c, very helpful because it helped for the midterm and final, stock trak was a breeze, just have a good direction on picking them and your report will take care of itself
Besides the fact that she is very very very boring, her fin611 is a total waste of time and basically a repetition of fin501. (she even used the same slides for some lectures) Altogether you may get a good mark but you wont learn anything in her class.
Boring prof, thanks to professors like her Ryerson doesn't have a good reputation. She shouldn't be teaching finance, extremely boring and useless. To all those who come to university for the marks and not the knowledge pick her, this is all she does gives A to C students.
She is very nice and the material seems interesting in class and straightforward but it all comes to an end when you try to do it on your own. I am trying to study for the final now and there is just so much. FYI her multiple choice are sometimes worth as much as 3 marks each. On the bight side the assignment was pretty easy. Beware!
is it even possible for an mc midterm to be worth 3 marks each question??? its just a flipping mc question, but worth 3 marks each?! insane..
Don't go to class, Don't buy the book. Read her powerpoint slides - Get an A-
Project 20%, MT 40%, Exam 40%. MT and exam are all multiple choice questions. M/C's are all test bank questions. Lectures are boring and useless. The project is tricky because the stupid T/A's mark it "VERY" hard. Make sure u do everything Yuce tells u to do on the project. Easy 3rd/4th year finance major course.
Hard class. You dont understand what she is talking about because she is too quiet. Class is wayy too early.
This woman seems nice in class, but a total BI#CH in her office...you can't argue with her while lookin at the expressionless bulgy eyes of her, she's unfair and unreasonable..btw 40% for a midterm of 6 chapters, and 40% for an exam of over 12 chapters is not consistent at all..and shes as lazy as she could get, calls herself a DR. for nothing!
She is an extremely unhelpful professor. It is sad that she sits as the Chair of Finance because as was previously mentioned she is extremely unhelpful!!!
Just because she wrote the textbook doesn't make her a good prof. And the textbook itself isn't all that helpful. She just reads off the textbook slides, never once showing you how to solve some of the problems that you'll see on tests and exam. Useless prof.
You can't understand her lectures. And what's worse is that the midterm is worth as much as the final exam.
I cannot believe that the best Ryerson could come up with for a chair was - Dr.Yuce! She is the WORST prof EVER..!! I don't find her lectures helpful but what I cannot stand even more is her attitude!! She is not deserving of that position and am hoping that Ryerson would hear our voices and give it to a more deserving person-Consider this a reques
yes there are pros and cons, but being the chair of a department requires different skills than teaching. I am sure out of all the profs ryerson chose her for skills that all the other profs do not possess. in terms of teaching... well not that great, however i am sure ryerson values her for her knowledge in research as opposed to her teaching skil
SHE IS USELESSSS AND REALLY BORING!!!!A STUDENT ASKED IF THE EXAM IS GOING TO BE LIKE THE HW QUESTIONS...AND HER ANSWER WAS "I CAN'T TELL YOU" and she doesn't take up hw questions up either
This class was way too easy. She gives an easy midterm and the final was a piece of cake. She could have made it harder if she wanted to as there was a lot of textbook material to cover. Lectures were pretty useless. Just read the text and do a bit of questions and you'll pull an easy A. Project was a waste of time. I'd take another class with her.
A great Professor. She is always nice and patient when you ask her questions. She wants her students to be successful.Definitely recommend to take her classes
Overall the class is a bit boring. Attending lectures is useless. Just read and know how to do the problems in the assigned chapters of the textbook and you are guaranteed to do well in the course. One group assignment that doesnt take too long to complete. Again understand the textbook and you will do well. Going to class is not needed
The course material itself is very difficult. She could have made the exam easier than she did, but it could have been significantly harder as well. She explains the topics relatively well in class but make sure to do some extra reading and practice from the textbook or this course is going to seem a lot harder tha it really is.
Read the textbook and know the math!!!
Very boring... Be sure to bring xxl coffee if u really want to listen to her.... Boring lecture reads of her power point slides ..
She provided great slides which she based both midterm and final off of. She explains concepts well. Didn't attend class much but did well because I read the slides and book. She's an easy marker for group assignment. Overall good prof
Avoid. She is a terrible lecturer and even worse when it comes to exams. I wrote the make up midterm and it was unnecessary difficult compared to the midterm everyone else wrote. Final exam was a bit more fair but still difficult. Group assignment was marked easily, but the assignment itself made relatively no sense at all. No solutions to homework
She's very monotone (nice lady though) so I wouldn't recommend her as a lecturer, just read the textbook and do the chapter problems thoroughly. 1 m/c midterm, group assignment, and m/c exam. The assignment had no proper sense of direction but was marked easily. Exam was fair but had a lot more theory than expected. Do not skip the theory!
Well you don't need to go to class to learn this course. She's a nice lady. Hard to understand sometimes. Bring a pillow to class
Great professor, tries to help students through clear examples and makes sure students understand concept/calculations. Easy/nice prof
Nice lady, the midterm and assignment went well, she's very helpful and gives you a fairly quick response to emails, the final was tough but if you study hard enough it shouldn't be too bad
This class is fairly easy as long as you do the work and follow along in class. However, The mid-term and exams weren't well written. (MT) 25 questions worth 40%, and final exam 40 questions worth 50% of final mark, with a few 'trivia' type questions thrown in there...
Professor Yuce means well, her lectures can sometimes come off as droning and monotone. Her lectures aren't too helpful. She is clear however when you see her during her office hours. If you have any issues she's definitely happy to answer your questions. Yuce may not be the best finance prof but there are way worse than her.
Nice prof, I enjoyed her Islamic Finance course, it's a brand new course. She's a relatively easy marker and she's passionate about her course.
Great class, easy A. She's a great prof who's passionate about Islamic Finance and it's a simple class, learn the terminology and you're set.
She literally wrote the book, didn't show up to class, read the book, did the practice questions, easy A
Very knowledgeable in Islamic Finance however her deliverance of the topic is not the best. The course content is simple and the textbooks makes it easy to understand. It's an easy A if you read the chapters assigned. The midterm and final were straightforward and fair.
This prof was fantastic. Unexpectefly, this ended up being one of the most interesting courses I've taken. Easy A if you read the book (the book is great and easy to understand, too), and do a few practice problems that the prof recommends from the book. The exams are fair. If you do the problems, you're good. Group project was fun and easy too.
Overall not the best prof, but takes her time to teach and help you understand. Midterm and final very easy. Even the assignment and presentation was super easy. Just, make sure to put in your own time to understand some parts of the course.
Only take it online if you are willing to do the work independantly. Will respond to emails but doesn't post announcements often. Course difficulty is about the average of any finance course.
As being a Finance Major. This course is stupid and prof does not know how to help students. Stupid exams. only free 10 % or around for simulation. IF you get less than 70% on midterm drop the course.
Ayse is SUPER easy. Midterm was 20 questions and final was 25 questions. Super easy marker. Not the best at teaching but if you read the textbook you'll be fine. I would definitely take her again.
She made this class so unnecessarily difficult. She doesnt respond to emails doesnt even tell u how many questions are on the exams. Her exams focus on the most useless parts of the class. Avoid she does not bell curve. Take blinder. She the worst but acts like she can teach
Found this course to be difficult, a lot of reading to do and in my opinion, reading the textbook was way more important than doing the end of the chapter reading. This professor made sure the mathematical questions were not hard at all. DO NOT TAKE THIS COURSE if you are not going to read, & the online modules are useless. Project is an easy 80%+.
She is a nice person but her tests dont really reflect whats taught. She doesnt do any practice questions. I really disliked this class.
She's a decent prof. Graded by few things so you better make sure you do really well on the midterm and final. Class attendance isn't really necessary but you absolutely need to read the textbook to understand the content. Got 84% on midterm and 50% on the final. Final exam threw me off - it was pretty difficult
Avoid this monotone professor at all costs. Profs like her are the reason why Ryerson TRSM is considered a joke in the job markets.. She is only here for a paycheck, she does not care for the students at all. Read the book and you will do well, class is useless. For stocktrack, your results don't matter (your explanation for your results matter)
Avoid this professor, she is not a good finance prof. Does not do any practice problems and her slides are incomplete. You have to read the textbook!! The course content is fine, however, the prof makes it boring. No enthusiasm when teaching the course!
Ayse does not prepare students based on her expectations on evaluations. She teaches bare minimum principles and expects students to figure the rest out. Ayse also does not care about the success of her students, you often have to email her 2-3 times to even get a response. Avoid this professor at all costs.
PLEASE DON'T TAKE HER. Her midterm was fair if you studied hard for it but her final is HORRIBlE. She doesn't provide any practice questions, midterms, or samples of final exams. You can purchase the MyFinanceLab at the beginning of the semester but that is the only help you will get in order to pass the mathematical section of the exam.
Good class. I learned a lot and I did very well. You can read the slides on your own and still do well.
Dr. Yuce was an amazing prof for FIN501. The class consisted of a midterm, assignment and a final. The content is a bit heavy, but that goes for any finance class. She responds to emails quick and is very kind and helpful when it comes to questions.
Straight foward class, do the mylabs and youll be fine. Prof doesnt give and information so up to students to learn. Group project was really easy if you know what youre doing.
Class is absolutely pointless with Ayse. She spent the first 3 weeks of course making groups for our group assignment. No textbook required, everything can be found in the slides, which are fairly short. Skip class, study the slides, you will be ok. Also course is very much theory based, and has a limited number of quantitative problems.
Join the course then read the slides yourself. Congratulations, you now know as much as you would have if you went to her lectures. Very uninspiring and doesn't seem like she likes her job at all. Makes a rather dry topic already the Sahara desert.
Avoid this prof at all costs. When you ask for help or guidance to help prepare you for the midterm and final, she is useless. It is clear she doesn't care about her students and does not care if they do well or not. The material taught in lecture is completely different from what she tests you on. I regret taking this course.
This professor is definitely the worst professor I have ever had at Ryerson. Its sad because she does not care for her students and uses the Pearson slides in class and never goes over examples. I thought I knew what a bad Professor was, but this professor definitely lowered the bar. Avoid if you can.
DO NOT TAKE HER! Useless Prof! Won't answer your question, no clear response to any of your emails! If you ask her question A, she will literally give you a different answer that is only kinda related to your question.
Just overall, not a good professor and I don't recommend her. Although she is a nice person, she doesn't teach or explain anything. She doesn't care if her students know the material. Class is pointless just read the book. Doesn't provide any support or help to her students. The content is very dry, especially with her delivery.
Her lectures do not help whatsoever. She insists you purchase the My Lab package which of course has a textbook that she helped make but it is thankfully not mandatory. Two easy exams and a group assignment. If you study from the textbook and do the My Lab assignments you should be fine. Just don't bother showing up to her lectures.
You should have no problem acing this course if you attend, pay attention, & take notes A+. I took this course online due to the Covid19 Pandemic. So my mornings would consist of me brewing a fresh cup of expresso and chiming in zoom to hear what the lecture was all about. We did a mid-term and final and a group presentation which all went smooth.
The midterm average was 50% with more than 60% of the class scoring below 50%. This prof does not teach, I would give a lower rating if I could. It is based on the textbook which had a lot of fluff.
I decided to drop the course after the midterm because majority of the class failed (52 avg.) & her teaching was so poor that I had no hope of things improving from there. She doesn't bell curve. It's abysmal that FIN501 is required for the finance minor yet TMU has allowed THE WORST prof in the finance department to teach every section. Shame.
Her lectures are trash. Midterm and final are based on the homework questions from the textbook, which she was a co-writer, and never teach you how to solve it
She never gave you straight answers from the questions you asked, but answers something else. Group work is a disaster if you're paired with free riders. I told her that I did most, if not all of my group work. She said I still could be graded low if my peers gave me low grades. Then what's the purpose of doing it then.
Not that bad, I went to lectures which made me sleepy at the beginning but I kept going and it's just the material that's not the most interesting. Her exams were pretty good, and she marks the project easy. She is quite chill, and helpful when you talk to her.
This professor does not care about her students and their well-being and she knows this information and still won't budge. Her teaching style will not prepare you for the examinations, prepare yourself for your gpa to drop.
In the most respectful way, she should not be teaching. It is impossible to attend her classes and not want to throw a tantrum. She spends the entire class reading off the first 5 slides (which is based off the textbook she wrote). Her tests has theory questions that she has never mentioned or are from things not important.
She should've retired during the great depression or something cause she sucks at teaching. Honestly I don't even think you can avoid her cause shes the only one teaching aff 501. All I can say is good luck and godspeed cause your gonna need all the help you can get
KOS OMAK
Studying for the final, all i gotta say it makes me sad how bad at her job she is. She barely does any math equations and gotta learn this all by myself. if ur reading this ayce yuce please please please please quit
She sucks at teaching. Theirs no point in going to her lectures as she just reads of the slides and doesn't do any problems that will be on the final. I recommend staying home and reading and doing my labs to prepare for the final. I regret going to every class, I should've stayed home and spent that time doing something else. solid 1/10 prof
I hope her bed is so uncomfortably warm she cant sleep and get a good nights rest for the rest of her life. She is so bad it makes me want to commit war crimes against Turkey. I hope god helps her and her eyes that are about to pop out her skull. Solid -7/10 prof, they really be hiring any one tho, I wonder if they will hire the local monkey
She's unavoidable if you have to take AFF501 but literally just reads off slides and those don't prepare you for the exams at ALL. Good luck is all I have to say and I wish professors were evaluated better because students should be receiving her salary atp for the way we have to teach ourselves this course.
You should only attend the first class to find your group, then just read the slides and do mylabs questions. The midterm is alright if you do mylabs questions, but her formula sheets are missing half the needed formula to solve the problems in the final. She's willing to give you 100% on group projects if you follow the instructions.
The lectures aren't particularly entertaining, but Ayse Yuce makes classes super easy to do well in.
shes pretty good idk why the ratings are so bad she gives u 100 if u follow the guidelines for her assignment and her tests are just mylab questions do them and ur chilling dont listen to the other reviews trust
Ayse Yuce's class is a challenging one, but using resources like unstuckstudy alongside the textbook and MyLabs can really help prepare for the exams. Just be sure to stay engaged and not rely solely on the slides.
Just terrible. I did everything I can to get a good mark. I couldn't. No makeup exams or grade bumps.
Her exams are doable. The only annoying part was her lack of awareness. She would interrupt the exam time by announcing how much time we had left every 10 minutes (THREE TIMES) so loudly—I kid you not—it was SO insufferable. Some of her exam questions are also kind of irrelevant. I don't know what she was thinking when writing them out.
Worst prof ever.
This is one of the worst professors at TMU and it's unfortunate that she is the only one teaching this course. The course is based on a group project which is fairly simple, midterm and exam which she does not prepare her students for at all. She barely does any math questions in class and does not explain anything, just reads off her slides.
Unfortunately if you're taking FIN501 she's your only choice so just be prepared. Group project is super easy and she gives full marks as long as your calculations are correct. Going to lectures is a waste of time. Instead, self-study using the formula sheet she uploads and the textbook questions. Exams are tough and worth a lot.
The professor was very kind and approachable and gave helpful hints during lectures. However, the midterm and final were a bit tough to prepare for since there weren't many practice resources. That said, the course project was marked quite easily, and lectures were useful if you wanted to catch the in-class tips.
Her classes were very boring. She basically read from the slides and that's it
