She's such an amazing professor not only is she stunning but shes super smart and witty. Loved her class. Give lots of extra credit questions on her exams. Final was so easy. All tests are based on the lectures. She posts review sheets. She gives billions of examples she makes sure everyone understands it. Taking her again for psyc 240 excited.

Dr. Aalai's passion for psychology really motivates students to really enjoy learning during the class. She teaches in such a fun and helpful way. Do take serious the review sheets and the papers she gives because whats on them really do end up on the exams and finals. Take advantage of the extra credit work she gives as well.

This professor is excellent, through out the semester she gave 3 tests, covering about 1 or 2 units depending. Her exams are heavily lecture based, she talks extremely fast, so you need to catch up and understand what she's talking about. You're only going to enjoy this class if you're into psychology because you will not understand anything.

She makes it really hard to fail her class. She gives you sooo many chances to make up your work, and she gives so many extra credit opportunities. Her tests were based, mostly, off of her lecture notes, which she posts on blackboard. She really is a great professor. :)

One of my favorite professors. I took her psychology and social psychology class, that says a lot. Not an easy A class but work for it and you learn a lot. Hand in assignments early to get feedback and earn a higher grade and do as many extra credits.

Professor Aalai is so pretty and younger than what I expected from a psychologist. She is so nice and sweet. Even though the class was very lecture heavy for me and very fast paced, because I was taking the course in a 4 week period over the summer, I still enjoyed it. She gave extra credit opportunities too to boost up your grade as well.

Outstanding and beautiful lady. She's the reason my major is now psychology, she made everything very fun and easy to learn. However, she does teach at a very fast pace and is very heavy with lectures, missing lectures will harm your grade and her exams are difficult unless you take good notes and actually study them. Highly recommend.

This professor is very patient and nice. I took the summer section, and she gave 3 test and 2 extra credit object in order to give students more opportunity to get A if they did not do well on exam. If you learn in class and do your extra credit, it is not hard for you to get an A.

Professor Aalai makes psychology come to life. She's one of the best professors in QCC, no doubt. She has a lot of patience and she's always smiling and willing to help. She offers loads of extra credit and the entire syllabus has important dates. Although her lectures are heavy and taking good notes is mandatory, I don't mind. This is college.

She is very passionate about what she teaches! make sure you do the work on time because she does deduct points if you don't. Make sure you keep up with the lectures and copy the notes! and study for the midterm. Overall she is fair grader and will give you valuable feedback.

This class was tougher than I expected. id suggest you record her class carefully. The study guides she gives are a bit confusing. Overall she's a good professor. Don't take the essay project lightly.

She's a great professor, but her views tend to get in the way. I almost felt guilty for being male, everytime she talk about her feminist views. She's a nice lady don't get me wrong, but she needs to understand that whether you like or not masculinity has its place in a society.

she is still my best professor. she give four exams and we play jeopardy in class before every exam for extra credit with question related to what she taught in groups. and there is no loss since the losing groups still get 3 point of extra credit towards their next exam. there is also a bonus of up to 10 point in each exams. Attendance matters.

The best teacher in QCC, My grandfather died during the summer and she was extremely understanding and even allowed for a make up test after I came back from Europe 3 days later. Take her, pay attention, you won't regret it, she has such an enlightening and positive personality, no textbook, interesting readings. And easy on the eyes as well )

I love this professor. I was a little on the first two classes but after that everything is so interested. She will give you real example when she is explaining the term. Lots of required reading but all of them are fun. I will definitely take her class again!!!

I took this professor for the summer session and overall I enjoy it. She really explains the topics well and gives good examples. Her review sheets are a bit long, but its pretty straightforward. This professor was nice and made class interesting. Highly recommend her anyone who taking psychology. I would definitly take her again.

Very understanding, very intelligent. She's aware of current events and issues, and is more than happy to talk to you outside of class. She gives very good feedback on your writing. Class discussions are welcome. I absolutely loved her class, I learned much more than I thought I would. There was a textbook but I didn't need to use it.

Professor Aalai is truly the sweetest and informative if you want to take psychology 101. She gives three tests with review sheets and even does jeopardy with the class as a review. Taking notes are important and studying the information were you memorize it if you want to do well on tests. She offers extra questions on every tests and final. Easy!

Dr Aalai in my opinion is the best Psychology I ever took. I had her for Psychology 101, 220, and 240 (writing intensive). Not only did I learn, but understand what psychology is teaching us. I'm surprised seeing many negative reviews of Professor Aalai. When I was in QueensBorough she provided good notes, passionate of the topics and was helpful outside of class. She gives word documents with the lesson she is teaching, review sheets, extra credit opportunities, and her tests are related to what she gives in class. I mean all her classes say "intensive writing," so what did you expect?

I wouldn't say the class was a breeze by any means, but it certainly was not overly difficult. No overwhelming amount of homework or busywork, there were a few papers, a group presentation, and an individual presentation. Basically if you showed that you learned and understood the material enough to think/talk about it intelligently, you're set.

I took Dr. Alaai's Psyc230 and Psyc240 and I couldn't be more satisfied that I did so. She is incredibly organized, knowledgeable, and passionate about psychology that her lectures are not boring at all! She gives a few quizzes, exams, HW assignments, and tons of extra credit opportunities. Also, she replies to emails faster than many professors.

Im not sure why Professor Aalai has low ratings. She was actually the best professor Ive ever took in Psychology. I failed many times with the subject with different professors before, however, Professor Aalai knows her stuff and she explains very clearly about the subject. I learned the best which made me change my major to Psychology.

Dr Aalai is a very good professor. She knows her stuff. However, if you dont like to do a lot of work do not take her. She helps you outside of class and she is overall a compassionate and kind person. If you do take her and pay attention, you will learn a lot about the subject and pass with a good grade. Professor Aalai class is very informative. I am currently taking a psych 220 class with a Prof. rating of 4.8 and I prefer her 101 class. I loved her class because I was naturally interested in psychology. I am learning things in 220 that I learned in her 101. I’m thinking about going back to her in the summer just to learn properly.

This is one of the best professors I have ever had the pleasure of receiving instruction from in my entire academic career. Caring, enthusiastic and extremely inspirational. She knows how to make a 3-hour lecture interesting. She explains the units very thoroughly. The homework might seem like a lot but it's actually easy.

She was very fair in her grading process but a stickler for homework deadlines. A lot of reading for the homework but manageable. Tests were all through blackboard and straightforward. Allowed for extra credit at end of semester.

Attendance and homework are most of the grade which is simple, but I recommend a short class time period and not her long once a week classes because she doesn't use all the time wisely and goes off topic a lot. Quizzes and tests are all online which is awesome.

IMO she kept her material interesting. She is big on punctuality in hws so keep grammarly on hand!! If you just read through the work WHILE having questions out- the answers are in plain sight! I enjoyed having her.. she is strict but it help me build integrity in my work going forward tbh. It is alot of reading/a few videos but just make time tbh

I enjoyed this professor. She made three hours pass very quickly and explained the topics in a very clear way that made it easy to understand. You have to complete end-of-chapter quizzes weekly, however, this is very easy and doesn't take a lot of time. Overall, it was a very fun class and I learned a lot. Would take her again!!
