I loved her class even though I am not passing it. I did not study and that is what I deserve.

Take this teacher!! If you put the effort in you will pass!! Not a hard class, not a whole lot of homework. The final was hard.. but I guarantee if you show to class every day and put the effort in you will pass.. plus she is a sweetheart!!

if you do your homework and show up, she will help you. do not skip classes. she is helpful if she sees that you are trying. don't try to fool her she has been teaching for a long time.

I highly recommend her esecially in the summer where other classes can be intense. Hse makes it fun and easy to learn.

She goes above and beyond to keep everyone focus and motivated. She added me to a class that was way full. if her class is full, do not worry since she adds everone.

She speaks clearly and is easy to understand. She doesn't move on too quickly and makes sure that everyone understands. Her tests are easy if you study and do homework (every test is 10 questions long, inc. the midterm and final!) I was very satified with this teacher. You can tell she still loves to teach even after so many years.

It really bothers me when students are not truthful. Iread some of those comments and know exactly which student in class wrote them. she is very helpful and she answers emails the same day. if you can not attend her office hours she arranges diffeent time. Thanks to her, I got into nursing school and I received an A from her class.

I trully learned statistics. I have taken this class before but she is crystal clear on what she expects and what you need to know.

honestly if you do the work she asks then you would love Statistics. One of the best instructor. I dropped this class 3 times and finally she made me learn it. A sweatheart.

I loved her class. She always gives these questions that she knows the student will miss ( class wkork)and then explain why you should have not answered it that way. I never make those mistakes again because I spend min of 15 minutes in class thinking how I should have answered.

Clear Statistics lectures. She will demand you think about how to apply the concept first before giving a solution. Pay attention to all lectures and do the homework & the rest of the semester will be fun. I used the textbook for reference and practice only.Great class. Loved it.

I took this class during intersession and if it wasn't because of her, I would have never pass it. she explain it clearly and relate the different chapters together. you actually start liking stat.

Took her very fast-paced intersession class. Stat is not easy but Prof. Sioshansi made everything easier. She explains with clarity and provides sufficient examples. Also, some people say she comes off as rude but I think it's only because a lot of people ask stupid questions. She is amazing and knowledgeable. Will take her class again for sure.

I never learn algebra in high school and tried with different teacher couple of times and not being successful. I finally took her class and now I am enjoying and NOT feeling like I am stupid and can not learn. Highly recommend her.

hands down is the best math instructor, I've ever had she, can read his students, if you're struggling she'll offer extra credit, her office door is open to help you, she'll advise you when you're falling behind, pick up the pace now, but you must complete the work and homework. She is a patience instructor

Took summer 2015. Loved this teacher but class was hard. She was very helpful &would always ask if everything was clear before moving on. Grade based on HW, quizzes, midterm & final. No cheat sheets! so know ur formulas. I got an A doing all the HW, doing tests in the book, &asking her for help. She will call u out if ur on ur phone listening!

if you want to pass intersession, then take her class. Amazing how she makes Stat comes alive. Loved every night of the class.

Superior teacher

I took her class in the summer and I hate math. Staying 4 hours in the class with any other professor would have been a TURTURE but not with Prof Sioshansi. she made math come alive and fun. She has such a positive energy and just simply loved her class.

Friendly teacher who is focused on making the math understandable for the students. Very encouraging for students to reach out for help when you need it. Gives breaks if class hours are long, Homework isn't that bad and is willing to help on it the next day if you didn't get something. Attend class and you will be fine. Great teacher!

after failing this class twice, I finally successed taking Mrs. Sioshansi during summer. she cares and if you put effort, she makes sure you understand and pass. She makes the course comes alive.

I took her for summer session. She really gets to the main details of the course. Everything made sense, I thank her for making me enjoy stats.I just think she needs to write better its difficult to understand at times & she has separate notes of her own or another textbook. Same concepts though not exactly the same as the course book required.

First college class I took and it prepared me very well for future classes thanks to Professor Azar. She makes you work for the grade, if you are not willing to try you might as well not take the class. Excellent at explaining and helping you when you are having difficulties. Once in a while she would put inspirational videos to motivate us.

This was my third time trying to take statistics, previous times I've had professors with great ratings and I would always do terrible. She has a temper and even though I didn't get an A in the class I was very happy overall. She helped me so much and kept me motivated.

The homework relates directly to the test. I just used the homework as my study tools. Graded on 3 tests 1 final and homework done online. Score high on the 3 test since they highly affect your grade. I missed about 5-6 classes (only met 2 times a week) and earned a B. She is a little rude towards students at times especially if you walk in late

attend class and take notes as she writes on the board and you will get an A. Loved her class after 3 attempts with other high rated faculty on rate my professor that did nothing for me.

Ive had her twice as an instructor and does a great job at explaining course content. Shes definitely not one that just hands out grades. You will need to put in the effort if you want a good grade. I had her for algebra and received a C but that was definitely on me for not putting in the extra effort. I then had her for Stats and received an A

I just took her first test in the summer course and she is awesome. if you listen to her recording or attend class, her exam covers exact same thing. No surprises. as she lectures she emphasis on the importance of certain topics and drills it down your brain.

One of the best professor I have ever had. She teaches methods that are to the point! Go to her tutor classes, watch her zoom videos and complete your homework on time. These will all help you further understand Statistics. She is caring and always willing to help. I recommend taking her class.

A really caring professor and will respond right away! Homework is a lot but doable for sure. When giving out practice tests, it is almost identical to the real test, so overall a very clear-cut course.

Prof is friendly, direct, and communicative, but confusing at times. She told us exactly what we needed to study and focus on for upcoming tests and quizzes. She really stressed to us how important participation and asking questions because she wanted to make sure we were actually learning the material and not just agreeing with her during class.

Really nice. A lot of the class is just calculator spam. You don't need to remember many formulas because she lets you use the calculator functions that do it automatically. I took her two-hour class and she'll go slow and make sure people understand it.

Genuinely a professor that inspired me to re-consider my capabilities in Mathematics and Quantitative Reasoning. For those that complain about the difficulty of the course, I believe that college-level math class should have their fair share of studying and material dependency that warrants at the very least many hours of studying per week.

The class can be challenging, but engaging with the material and using helpful study tools like Unstuck ai can make a big difference. The professor's teaching style may take some adjustment, but office hours and participation are key to success.

I took this class on zoom. I have mixed feelings about this professor. The work is okay. You do have to pay to access the homework and need a calculator. She wants her students to participate. She can get annoyed and not answer her students if they repeat a question. There were 3 exams before the final which was split into 2 parts.
