Honestly the best professor I've ever had. Azeem holds such a passion for engineering and seeing students succeed. Above all, his lectures are very interesting and difficult to get distracted away from. If you have the opportunity to take a class with him as the TA or professor, please do.

Had Azeem for ECE 372L back in 2016. The lab was very practical and Azeem was very good at explaining the concepts discussed in lectures. With his intro lessons in lab, we easily knocked out our lab assignments and learned a lot. You just have to put the effort to want to learn and this guy gives you the tools.

This guy cares so much that it starts to come off a bit like he just wants us to say good things about him. But he's really good at explaining the concepts and a really easy grader. On a quiz where the ave was a bit low, he gave us some points back for redoing the quiz for the next hw. Even if you get everything wrong, you get points for trying.

In a class of over 100 pupils, he still manages to outperform everyone's expectations. His course plan is flawless and will prepare you for everything. Take every ECE class I recommend.

Amazing Professor!!!!!

Dr. Azeem is unequivocally the best professor I have ever had! His passion and expertise in basically every facet of ECE (and physics/mathematics) make his lectures superb and engaging. His assignments are challenging, yet great practice for his exams. He is very congenial and a true champion for student welfare. I highly recommend taking him here.

Dr. Azeem Hafeez is literally the best professor I've had. He explains the material extremely well, making this course clear and engaging. He goes above and beyond to ensure understanding of material, and he supports students' learning. Offers invaluable course and career advice, and truly excels in teaching (it shows his passion for teaching).

(Winter 24) Honestly great professor. He curves by lowering exams by 10 pts. Online quizzes. He gives practice problems night before exams. DO THEM. Exams (2 + cumulative final) were straight forward. Final was a lil quirky, but just do well on the midterms. Shifted grading scale. so 90-92 is a B+ for reference bc people do well. U'll be fine.

Great at advising projects. Provides great learning opportunities for students to gain relevant experience. Projects are incorporated with teamwork.

Azeem is very nice and wants his students to succeed. Make sure you take 3731 seriously and stay up to date with the information as it increases in difficulty as the course goes on.

Iv taken this professor 5 times and I can honestly say he is not easy but you will learn and retain a ton of information . He is very helpful and is always available to help student , he truly devoted himself to his students .

Dr Azeem is definitely one of the best teachers I have ever had. He is very caring of his students and makes the material easy to understand. If you actually study and learn the material, every other class after is going to be easy

He is the greatest Professor in the Electrical Program, he's extremely caring and respected by students. He teaches difficult material in a way that anyone can understand. Make sure to keep up with his lectures and assignments and you should have no issues at all.

Azeem is a phenomenal professor - his lectures are engaging and he truly cares about student success. The coursework is challenging but manageable with dedication. Don't skip class and use resources like ChatGPT and Unstuckstudy for study prep.

Hands down the best professor I've ever had any class you have to take that is offered with him I highly recommend taking with.

(Summer 24) Honestly, the material itself can get complicated, but doing the homework and going to SI helped. Idk if in the summer he gives SI more things to give us, but what we did there was almost exactly what to expect in exams. He also gave us sample exams. Focus in this class, you'll use it for ECE 450.

Azeem is the best professor here at UMD, he is a champion for his students and truly cares. He is also extremely knowledgeable on the subject matter, and he makes learning the content enjoyable. I highly recommend taking him here, if you're majoring in ECE.

Dr Azeem is the best professor i've ever encountered, very passionate about what he does, knows how to deliver material, you WILL understand, have a good attitude and you're going to do good, and don't take his classes lightly put in the work as easy as they seem.

He is a champ, best professor ever! So nice and caring, and makes lecture so much fun and enjoyable.

The class is very manageable if you stay consistent with the material. SI sessions were a huge help they made a big difference for me in practicing and reinforcing the content, I highly recommend going to them regularly. Also don't skip the pop quizzes, they're great practice for quizzes and exams, I would recommend not missing any.

Absolutely the best teacher I've had at any level. Every lecture was so well planned and flowed seamlessly from one topic to the next. There weren't any textbooks but each problem was well thought out and focused on teaching the concept, rather than just trying to get the answer. I would take a class with him again if I could.

Best professor! Made the semester seem so easy, explained very clearly each topic and provided practices before each exam. Almost identical to the exam. Attendance is mandatory, expect pop quizzes related to the lecture. Taking notes in lectures makes homework way easier and pop quizzes.

Material was fairly difficult but the professor made it easier. He gives a lot of extra credit too. Take any class you can with him, great professor.

Dude is amazing. He gives great lectures to the point I easily learn the subject matter. He also will pause during lectures to allow us time to take notes. Pop quizzes are never difficult and he gives easy exams. Overall a professor I would call a must-take for electrical or computer engineering students.

Excellent professor. He made circuits easy to understand and provided plenty of practice material. The quizzes and exams were given beforehand so there is no reason to not get 100% on all of them. I also like how he incorporates life lessons into his teaching of circuits. The only qualm I have is that the final project was poorly explained.
