This guy may seem hard at first, but his tests are very reasonable and he gives a lot of partial credit. Overall he's a pretty cool guy

Aziz is the man. I had him for econometrics, the hardest class ever but somehow he kept us SO interested and involved, and was So fair about the class. He teaches intro to micro also, but for this class he is the man! Take him! Hes the****TTTT!!!

Awesome teacher, he is really helpful and the economics class was dead simple. The final is all questions taken straight from the first three exams. Class is also funny and interesting.

He's a little difficult to understand at first but you get used to it and he writes everything he says down on tne board anyway so it doesnt matter. Tests are easy if you do the reading/homework b/c test problems are homework problems word for word. He's a really good guy and really smart

My favorite Prof. at UNH. His accent is thick but he writes it all down. Will take him for any class he's teaching. notes are straight from the book and highlighting and studying what he goes over in class got me an A. Available outside of class for help. Just a really cool and intelligent guy.

Aziz is a great professor. His class is pretty simple, and not boring. The exams are all easy because he has in class reviews for them during which he lays out everything on the exam. He gives you the answers to homeworks too, both in class and in office hours.

EVERYTHING is straight from the book. Lecture is word for word from book. Bring a highlighter and read as he says the words you're reading! Almost all notes are used in exams. 1/3 of the exams use problems from homework which he goes over the class before the exam. If you get a C or worse, time to think about alternative paths in life.

Aziz is very helpful and realy cares about his students. He is always in his office and stresses people to come see him for extra help. I would definantely recomend him for business stats.

I was not interested in this class at all and was pretty didn't do as much as I could of. By the time I realized that he gave us the problems that he used for the test exactly it was too late. He really made an effort to help me and spent hours outside of the classroom helping me.. and im retaking his class next semester

He is a great teacher, willing to explain anything you don't understand until you get it. He makes the material easy to understand and easy to get a good grade.

Aziz is mad helpful and will go above and beyond for his students. Don't leave WSBE without taking a class from him.

Aziz is a total boss. He actually WANTS you to LEARN, unlike many professors. He is my favorite professor at UNH. I had him for ECON 698 also, and will have him again for 611. Extremely reasonable when dealing with students and very knowledgable.

Hilarious professor, wants you to do well. Has office hours pretty much 24/7. Very intelligent, good at explaining, doesn't get mad ever. His accent is fun to listen to too. Quizzes and tests are moderately hard, but he is very willing to work with you. Definitely take him for business statistics (or any class you can). One of UNHs best professors!

One of the best teachers in WSBE. Makes material easy to understand and lays out everything thats going to be on exams. Will sit with you and go through any assignment, project, or problem. Great teacher for hard classes like stat or econ. Had him for both ,he generally wants students to do well and most kids do when they have him. great teacher

Aziz is the man. His classes can seem really hard but he does an excellent job explaining everything. He teaches you how to solve the problems in class and those problems show up on the tests. If you go to class and take good notes you'll be fine. He also will help you a lot outside of class.

Aziz is a great teacher with great teaching and listening skills. He is always in his office for extra help and tries to get you the best grade possible. Very little homeworks but they do help your grade, 4 tests are what decides your grades and he pretty much supplies you with all the information to study in review.

Aziz is far and away the best professor I've had thus far at UNH. I highly recommend him and I can't wait to take another class with him in the future.

By far the best teacher at the University of New Hampshire. So helpful, always available after class. He wants all of his students to succeed and will do everything he can to help you. Straight up tells you what problems are going to be on the exam. If you can take a class with him do it! You will not regret it.

I'm a sophomore, and Aziz is the best professor that I've had at UNH so far. Intelligent guy, extremely nice, and he genuinely cares about his students. Microeconomics is hard enough, but Aziz does an amazing job explaining how everything works. Take ANY class you can with this guy. He's awesome! Wish I could give him an A+ rating.

Aziz was seriously the best professor i have had to date at UNH. He is the most approachable person ever and always so helpful. Writing this post is making me so sad that i no longer have him as a teacher. Even though i am not in his class anymore he still remembers my friend and i and offers to help us in any class at UNH. <3

Great teacher, fantastic guy. I learned a lot about economics from him, he is my favorite professor I have had and I will take any other class he has. He is tough but super fair with grading, and truly wants everyone to understand the material. Would recommend for any class.

Aziz is one of the better professors I've had at UNH. His lectures are clear and precise, and he will go out of his way to help you out. He also doesn't throw any curveballs on exams. Plus, there is no nightly homework besides studying, and there are a couple of essays. Go to class, take notes, and you'll do great.

Aziz is the man. He is by far the best professor I have had at UNH and wish he taught more classes! If you have the opportunity to take a class with him do so! You have to self-advocate initially, go to him and he will help you until you understand it better than a first language

The BEST professor I've had

Aziz was one of my favorite professors I have had at UNH. I had to retake macroeconomics, and ended up getting an A in an advanced section with Aziz. He was very helpful, and is willing to take the time for you to understand the material. Aziz was one of the only professors I have had who seems to truly care about how his students perform.

Aziz is the man, obviously has an accent but still easy to understand. He is by far one of the best teachers I've had. The concepts he covers can be difficult to grasp at first but he will lay out exactly what he's looking for on exams. If you study what he tells you too study, you won't need to buy the book and you'll still get a good grade.

Best economics professor I have had at UNH. He understands how to take a complex subject and make it simple. Take any possible class you can with this man.

Aziz is EASILY the best professor I have had at UNH. He genuinely cares about you and your grades , and he works tirelessly so that you understand the material. Theres extra work because it was an Honors section, but that doesn't mean it wasn't impossible. Take great notes, and you will do well. TAKE A CLASS WITH AZIZ! You won't regret it.

I had Aziz for 605 and he was the best teacher I have had at UNH. I waited until I could gain a spot in his 611 a test. I HIGHLY recommend taking his class for econ. No other teacher compares.

Aziz is the man, loved his class. He made econ so interesting that it made my add it as a minor. He has an accent but it's not hard to understand him. He's so funny and engages with students. He's always available to help and meet with students any time. If you have to take econ, take it with Aziz!

Amazing guy. Super nice and loves it when you show up to his office hours. Class can be challenging but if you try then you will do well, he gives you everything to succeed

Aziz is awesome. At times, his lectures can be boring and confusing but as long as you show up to every class, show up at his office hours for help once in a while, and show him that you are honestly trying, you will pass. He cares as much as, if not more than, you care about your success in his class.

Lectures could be boring at times, but he explains the material well. If you are ever confused, he is caring and helpful during office hours. Grading criteria was unclear with one of the papers we had to write for his class, and your entire grade was based off of two exams, one final exam, and one paper.

Always available to help, fair in grading. Very clear and precise lectures. Great sense of humor. I recommend Aziz for any class that he teaches.

I have had multiple classes with Aziz the past 4 years and he is phenominal, really cares about the coursework and wants you to learn the material. At the end of the day he is a pretty easy grader because he understand your situation as a student, however many students respect him enough to put in the effort.

Aziz is a super great guy. Tests come down to a few huge questions but he basically gives you the questions beforehand. What it boils down to is trying and if you try, then you will do well.

Great guy who cares about his students actually learning the material and being able to apply it to the real world, opposed to professors who are more concerned about their students jumping through hoops. There is a lot to learn in economics, so their is a good amount of work he assigns, but it is reasonable.

Professeur Aziz is one of the best professeurs I have had since coming to college this fall. He is very smart and knows Economics very well. He offers so many examples, which helps his students understand the information on a real world level. He keeps class interesting by cracking a few jokes here and there. They always make me giggle.

I had Aziz for both Econ 402 and Econ 605 and let me tell you, the best professor at UNH by far. Very kind and considerate of his students and wants everyone to do well. As long as you show up for class and do the homework, you will pass easily. I admire this professor and everything he stands by so if you have the chance, take his class.

Aziz is such a caring professor. I unfortunately did what one shouldn't do in ECON. I missed a days, didn't go to office hours, which reflected on my overall grade. Make sure you do good on his exams cause' what you get on them is literally your overall grade. I'd choose Aziz if I had to again (probably will retake cause my grade is garbage LOL)

Aziz is awesome! He genuinely cares about his students. The lectures are clear, once you get used to his mild accent. He's kind and understanding and is a generous grader. He's pretty funny, and his lectures are engaging. He clearly knows what he's talking about. Everything in the course is connected, so if you're confused, get help early.

The best professor I have ever had. I have told everyone I know who has to take Micro to take his class. I'll be honest the exams are tough and the Homeworks aren't easier, but he cares so much about his students that if you need help he will be there. He is going to make you work for a good grade, but if you're an econ major it's worth it.

Great professor, interesting material and the class is set up that you can learn it all within the class time. Minimal homework, but homework is useful for exams. Very clear expectations for the exams, very helpful professor.

nice professor but exams are heavy as well as lectures. but he offered incentives for the exams to pass the course. if you scored above a 95 on the final, you got to pass the course with an A regardless of the grade you had before.

The best professor I've ever had. Professor Saglam really cares about his students and wants them to succeed. He's always there if you need help and is great at explaining the material. Tests are moderate if you study the homework questions, and I really recommend going to his office hours.

Aziz was fantastic! There was not too many homeworks so they make up a decent portion of the final grade, but they are very helpful in studying. Go to class, he helps to prepare you very well for the short answer problems on exams, and is always very helpful outside of class. Would definitely reccommend!

Professor Aziz is incredible. I had him last Spring and he really wanted his students to succeed. His homework and practice questions covered everything on the exams, making it really easy to Ace the class. He always offered office hours and loved to see everyone there.

Professor Saglam moved at an extremely fast paced so it was easy to fall behind but he was extremely accommodating and cares about his students

Aziz was an amazing professor, he truly cared about his students, and I enjoyed the humor and care he brought. Aziz's class was extra difficult because there were only three exams that totaled about 80% of the grade. While attendance is not graded nor checked, I would strongly recommend going to class, or else this class will be very difficult.

Straightforward but relaxed lecture format, a lot of notes, diagrams. Some practice work. HW once a week multiple choice. Tests are large percentage of the grading, does good job reviewing before tests. scales grades based on effort. attendance not mandatory, but recommended, textbook not required but can be helpful. Funny guy, liked by everyone.

Aziz is great. The lectures can be a bit dry, but they're bearable. He gives really understandable lectures, and is good at explaining things. Don't bother with the textbook unless you really care about getting a good grade. Overall, very nice guy and very good professor.

Lectures were capturing and gave all the information you needed for the exams. Homework was not often but he gives you the answers in class, as well as gives you exam questions and answers in class before the exam. Such a great teacher!

AZIZ is awesome. Literally gives you the short answers before the exam, practice them multiple times and you will get an automatic 60 on exams. Go to class because he doesn't post slides, but it is actually helpful if you want a good grade. Accessible outside of class and wants everyone to do well. Only thing that sucks is the final is cumulative.

Believe the hype: Professor Saglam is an incredible lecturer! He does a phenomenal job at breaking concepts down in a very digestible and easy-to-understand way, and the lectures are very well-structured. Final grade is almost entirely quiz grades, but he always gives out tons of practice problems to aid with studying. Highly recommend!

I 100% recommend Aziz as an instructor. While the content is not very exciting he clearly tries his best to make it interesting. There are a few homework assignments but they are not too hard if you take notes in class. He gives the big exam questions beforehand so you just practice doing them and are guaranteed to pass it (He loves Keanu Reeves)

Overall good professor and nice guy! He teaches a very rigorous micro class though intended to prepare econ students for higher economics levels so do expect a large workload but to learn a lot. I took off a star solely because I wasn't a fan of the timed homework and found them stressful. I recommend getting a study group for this class.

Aziz is a very fair professor, I wouldn't say a lot of his explanations made sense but he was forgiving and generous with grades and points. He usually boosts your grade at the end of the year if you are a good student and offers extra credit to the class occasionally. He tells you exactly what will be on the exam making them easy to prepare for.

Aziz is an excellent professor for micro. The grade is 20% quizzes (8 total, for hw) and 80% exams (2 midterms and a final). The exams are easy if you attend class and take notes because he gives the open response questions beforehand, and uses many MC/TF questions from quizzes. Exams are graded generously. Nice guy and is accessible in his office.

Aziz is a great professor and if you show up to class you will very likely get an A. Practice problems given in class line up with the actual exam and he is willing to go over problems as many times as you need during office hours.

Tells you what's going to be on the exams and there are no surprises. If you fail this class you either didn't show up or you didn't listen to him. Literally EVERYTHING on the exam is gone over a week before it, just study what he tells you too. Oh and he rounds grades up. You got a B+? He will probably round to an A- or an A if you work hard.

As someone who struggles with math, Aziz is very helpful. He'll explain anything if it doesn't make sense and wont make you feel stupid. Aziz is funny and really wants you to understand the content and genuinely cares. Exams can be difficult but he will always clearly tell you what is on them and own up to his mistakes. Final exam was rough and I still dunno what I got but he takes into account your attendance and effort and will bump your grade accordingly. HW each week too is easy

AZIZ IS THE BEST EVER. Take as many classes as you can with him. He is an extremely clear lecturer, but make sure to take good notes. His exams are never that difficult if you study the problems he tells you to. The. Best. Ever.
