He's not very clear with his lectures and the stupid powerpoint book he makes you buy. But if you go to class, he will give out sample questions for the test. Do the study guides! They're long and stupid, but do them, they help big time! I never went to class, but went to study groups with other students and they had the sample questions!

This teacher is the nicest, most caring teacher ever. If you ever have a question he'll take all the time you need to make sure you understand it. He dedicates a whole class period to a review the day before the test. Go to class and write down the sample questions he gives because they'll show up word for word on the test. No need for the book.

Prof Tatum has a great personality, very sweet but his teaching style sucks. You literally go to class to hear him go over his slides in the course reader so it's huge bore and what's worse is that it's an 8AM class. My advice is to go over the course reader yourself, begin on the study guides a week or 2 before exams and you'll be fine.
