He is by the best professor I have had. He wants everyone to succeed and is extremely helpful. The class itself is really easy, I could not show up and still get an A. He really enjoys teaching and it makes me that more attentive when a teacher takes his job seriously. I would suggest people to take one of his classes.

You have to take prof Babken when it comes to accounting. Not only his class is easy but also he is an excellent professor. One of the best professors I've had. He always explains things very clearly, he's always there when you need him, and he does his best to motivate you. It's a pretty tough class, but he makes it fun.

Simply an awesome experience. The prof was very clear in explaining a hard subject. Two midterms and non-cumulative final. Chapter quizzes helped me stay on course. Gotta study regularly. It is the only way to learn acctg. He was very fair and gave plenty of chances and bonus points. Hope to have his other classes. You will love his class.

His style of teaching really helped me understand a hard subject a lot easier. You must do the homework and show up to class to take the quizzes b/c it really helps with the exams, and your grade. He is an extremely fair grader, and the class is not based solely on exams, which gives you a lot of opportunities to better your grade. Great professor.

He is a great professor! He's helpful, clear, nice, energetic, and caring. However you do need to read the book and the HW if you want to get an A. Weekly Quizzes, Attendance, Participation, HW, PLF, 3 Midterms count towards your grade.

Straight forward as it gets. He does his part above and beyond. Do your part of attending, reading and assigned homework, and you should do pretty well in his class. No surprises in his class. Great to be in his class.

What a cool guy. Great at explaining tough concepts. All he asks for is to use your intellect and be involved in the class for your own good, rather than focus on a grade. He is a fair but tough grader. So if you focus on learning the concepts covered you should be just fine. Enjoy his class ....if you can get in of course :):):)

Most of the material he covers is based on the book. He didn't give out mandatory homework, but PLF is required (10% of grade). His review sessions before the exams is VERY helpful. Overall, it's a pretty easy class. I definitely recommend him.

2nd time taking him and he performed just as well. People need to understand hes not passing out As the reason why people do well is his willingness to make it clear. Its not that he gives answers to the test but he makes sure the class is confident with the topics. Hes a very helpful man and I do recommend him. Just do your part too and read.

Prof Basmadzhyan has been the greatest professor i ever came of a cross of. Acct is not an easy subject but he makes it easy. Explains everything, repeats it a number of times to make sure you get it. I wish he taught every accounting class at csun. if he does i will change my major to accounting. You can never say enough good things about him.

Best accounting professor I've taken since community college! He truly cares about his students. He is very energetic and hilarious! Makes lectures very interesting. Read the book, do the exercises and pay attention to his lectures and you will do great! Definitely recommend him!!!!

Great prof. Got an "A." Tons of extra credit; i think over 10 percent total extra credit. The exams are harder than the homework though, so you have to know your stuff, and also, the final is culmative, but prepares you for the cpa exam. Show up, read the book a little. and go to every class, and you should have no problem getting an "A."

One day I told Dr. Babken that I wanted to quit in accounting, and he said to me " when it is time to quit, it is time to continue and fight for your dream" I will be an accountant one day and I will never forget about those words. I will tell my children and my grand children about those words. Never quit because it is time to continue.

3 midterms and 1 final. Gives you optional homework to help on the exams. He is more than happy to meet for office hours and go over problems. What you put in will be what you will get out. Best accounting professor ever!

BEST PROFESSOR EVER. Such a nice guy. 4 exams. 250 points each. It's all multiple choice. He even gives bonus questions (extra credit) .. many people ended the class with either 100% or above. Honestly, accounting isn't my thing and I ended with a solid C. Barely tried to be honest. He's a great professor. Would absolutely recommend.

Professor Babken is the most amazing man ever, I've always did bad in accounting, but taking him really made me understand everything about it. Very funny, very down to earth, treats his students very good and cares alot about them. Hw is optional, gives a mid term for each 2 chapters but extremely easy. Book is a must. HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM!!!!!

Why did he leave us with Doron? We were so excited about taking a class with him, and loved him starting from the first lecture. Unfortunately, the first class was the only class with him.

Accounting is a hard subject. Did terrible in Acc 220 but got a B in Acc 230. He is the best professor. Clear and to the point. Funny. Lectures are long and on a Friday but it is worth it. Wouldn't have passed with anyone else. Made me regret switching out of Acc. major. If only he taught more Acc. courses.

If this professor was the average students age, he would be the friend that everyone would love to have. He's funny, honest, and very inspirational. I would take this class with him again if I failed the class but it's impossible to fail in his class. One of the best, if not, THE best professor here at CSUN.

I took ACCT 230 this Summer which can be more difficult due to the time constraints, but Prof. Badmadzhyan made the subject bearable and a lot easier. He does a great job explaining the material in layman terms and illustrates it in real world situations. I highly suggest doing the recommended homework. If you nail that down, exams are no problem.

In my three years attending CSUN I've only met two professors i truly respected and he is one of them. Makes class enjoyable and great lecturer. Shows that he cares for his students and goes out of his way to help them. Summer class consisted of three exams and he gave extra credit and curved to make sure we did well. Will definitely take again.

Professor Doron is great! He teaches very clearly, is organized, stays on topic and lets us know ahead of time what will be on the exam. I can genuinely see that he cares about his students. I took him for an 8 am class and somehow managed to stay awake. Would definitely take him again!

Basmadzhyan is a professor who I'll never forget. I have never met anyone so passionate about not only this subject but about everything around the world. The way Professor Basmadzhyan teaches his students demonstrates he has a wealth of accounting knowledge in the way he explains and gives lots of feedback. He involves students by letting students go to the board and work a problem to make sure they understand. He is the Best in teaching. I recommend acct. major students to take his class.

One of the best accounting professors at CSUN. He's funny, entertaining, and makes a solid effort to make sure students pass with a good grade. Tax is hard though so you have to study for the tests! It's not an easy class! I really enjoyed the VITA aspect of this class.

This class was okay, but I did not like his teaching methods at all. He will never go by the book and his handwriting is very messy so you don't even know what is on the board. He will make simple concepts more complicated than it already is. Overall, he is a good Professor but I would not take this class again. However he is the best choice.

Tests are exactly the homework assignments with one or two numbers slightly changed. No surprises. He is very approachable and has a great sense of humor. I wish I could take him again.

Great Professor. He understands that tax accounting can be a boring subject so he tries to make the class as enjoyable as he can. The exams can be difficult but he gives plenty of extra credit especially on the later ones. Even if you don't do well on the first few, as long as you really apply yourself to the material you'll pass.

I had him for my acct220,230 class. Professor Basmadzhyan is really a nice guy, he's very knowledgeable and when you ask questions, he always gives you a clear answer. However, It just sometimes the students are not disciplined enough, and he does not like that but If seats are available, take him!!

Best accounting professor. First and best no online homework, and frequent tests every two chapters makes you stay on track. Very nice lectures, with this professor you dont have to memorise formulas you will understand them. Take notes he makes it easier than the book.

Babekn is honestly one of the best professors at CSUN. He does not take attendance but it is so vital to attend class because the material is pretty heavy. He explains topics very well and it is easy to understand because of his relatable examples. Also, he is very entertaining and gives tons of extra credit!

I took his class during the summer and it was really easy! He didn't have any midterms or finals. He doesn't believe in exams. All the grading was from attending class and the homework assignments which was so stress free especially during a summer class. Its an easy A class with him! I wish I could take him for all my accounting classes.

No exams, only graded on online homework through Cengage which he grades every 3 weeks.(as many attempts as you want until you get it right or the due date passes) By far my favorite CSUN professor! No exams! Super fun to learn!

good professor but his lectures felt rushed. he explained the concepts well but you need to read and understand how to actually apply them in order to get a decent grade on the tests. just memorizing the tax law will not help you even get a passing grade. Professor Basmadzhyan was honestly a great professor and was really thorough with the material that had to be taught in Accounting 220. A heads up: he will give real life examples (data) and will teach in that way instead of reading the slides. It is super beneficial so the terms can stick to you and will be easier when the midterms come up.
