This teacher had no Idea what was going on. She never explained what she wanted or was looking for in our papers untill we already had them done. We wasted more time in that class getting in and out of groups then we learned. I learned nothing from her

This is the worst teacher I've ever had! I argued with her constantly because she is very unwilling to help. DO NOT TAKE HER!! You will move on to Comp. and Lit. with no knowledge of MLA papers! WORST TEACHER EVER!

I withdrew from one prof's class into another's and the group discussions still go on. MLA? Be teaching that to myself! Took her over 25 min to do roll call WHILE we were signing in! Why do we have to nod our heads or say yes to EVERY statement she makes before she'll go on? All of the time!

She talks in circles, vague, sloooowwww. God, does she talk a lot... yet somehow never gets the main point across. It is physically painful to sit through her class every day. I liken the experience to incessantly prodding a tender nerve buried deep in the recesses of my mind with a thin, sharp needle.

Wow, just...horrid. Aside from the incomprehensible, broken English, her style of teaching is absolutely terrifying. She speaks in circles. Asks for an "0kay" at the end of every sentence, and is just...out there. Definitely call your advisor if you're assigned to her. Get outo f that class immediately.

WOW! I never thought I could dislike one of my professors soooooo much. Nothing like an English professor that can't speak proper English. If she likes you, your in. If she hates you, drop the class.

VERY RUDE! NEVER EVER EVER had a teacher talk so down to me in my life. Very negative towards others in the class. Overall if this was my 1st semester at RACC I would be very upset, and wouldn't have continued my education there!

This teacher is terrible. I've never had a teacher talk down on me in such a rude way. She told me before hand that she was upset with her last class so don't be offended. She basically ripped me a new one because she was upset with another student. I've also tried to set up meetings with her and she kept pushing them off. Worst teacher I've had.

Not sure where to even begin. All her assignments were unclear. When asked for help she would not ask. I asked for help in one specific assignment and she said "I don't think i can look over it since i'll be busy with the legacy". She threatened me with plagiarism although it was properly cited, i even 3 opinions on the citation.

I hated this class it was the worst experience I ever had in my life and I've been trapped in a avalanche before and had to eat one of my fingers off!!!!!

Absolutely never again. Her lectures negate themselves. She tells you to do one thing in your paper, then turns around and tells you not to do it. She's rude and doesn't make any sense half the time. Doesn't answer emails!!! I've wanted to drop since I started. To anyone who takes her and looks her up after like I did, good luck and push through.

Terrible grading criteria, 500 word essays worth 2 points. Very little assignments. Wish everything was worth more points. Heavy lecture.

Classtime wasted doing nothing, proffessor talks to you like your an infant, taught com98 curriculum in com 121, made you buy book that she didnt use, Nonstop essays, work only worth 3 points, Refuses to post grades, Unclear due dates, Takes a month to grade assignments sometimes longer.

She's a prof that seems to only do topics she's interested in to read and write essays on. Didn't grade papers for three weeks after final papers were submitted and then blames the students for the papers being late. Read a student's email out in class that was personal because the person disagreed with her perspective on a subject.

She belittled me and treated me horribly. At the beginning of the semester, she answered my emails within about a day. But the last time she emailed me was 3 weeks ago. And about a week ago, she withdrew me from her course without telling me why or responding to my emails. Stopped once me and said, "are you giving up???" when I was doing my work.

Worst professor ive had. Accused me of plagiarism and told me that im receiving a 0, i emailed her and asked what part was plagiarized because i know i didnt plagiarize. almost a week goes by and i heard nothing back, i check to see if she graded anything else and see she changed my 0 to an actual grade but never responded to my email

I had this class 7 years ago and I still think back to how terrible it was. Major lack of professionalism, inconsistent expectations and complete failure in communication. Definitely the worst professor I had in college.

Honestly, I've had many great professors from my time at Racc but I can say Professor Diken is by far the worst she is rude and takes forever to answer the emails and when she does its very rude and short replies .

Had this lady for 3 weeks then just withdrew the class and changed to another makes no sense. Makes zero sense with what she talks about in class. She called on me every class and confused tf out of me. She is very boring has no sense of humor and should not be teaching at 70 years old. Degrades students and all. Run if you have her

Awful. If you make one mistake, she will call you out in front of the entire class and belittle you. She makes no sense at all and when you ask her to further explain she will ignore you. I didn't learn a single thing from this course. If you have questions outside of the course, she won't respond until the morning of class.

By far the worst professor I have ever had to deal with. Not only does she cut students off rudely all the time, she also argues every second possible in a so-called "student lead class" when she feels her opinion is better. She is unforgiving, passive-aggressive, and so obviously picks favorites. Stay as far away as possible or you will fail.

Doesn't ever respond to emails, and talks badly about her students to other students. The coursework isn't hard, but she teaches in a way to makes it seem difficult. Cut you off during class. Doesn't even follow her own rubric.

Soft-spoken and unassuming, but when you get to know her, she is incredibly passive aggressive and insulting. Didn't teach MLA format in a class with people who went to high school 10 years ago. The more trauma your paper talked about, the more she liked it. Won't respond to emails in a timely manner. Assignments are worth barely any points. AVOID.

Avoid at all costs. This professor is condescending, rude, and grades based on personal bias. Consistently fails to grade on time and seems incapable of awarding a 100. Canvas grades are misleading—mine showed a 93, but my final grade was an 85. If you value fairness and transparency, steer clear of this class. Only assigns paper shes interested in

She is a good teacher overall, but I would she's a bit rude. She's a little ignorant to people's lives outside of college. She is a good teacher but her grading is most opinion based

I literally made this account just to leave this review. She is the worst prof I have taken at RACC and at my new 4 year school. Rude, condescending, and passive aggressive are understatements. She refuses to see that you have other classes/a life outside of school, and if you make a single mistake she will rip into you. AVOID AT ALL COSTS
