Challenging class. Do the extra credit questions! His class is hard but you will definitely get a good foundation in economics. He cares about his students and he's entertaining. Grade is based on four tests (multiple choice and T/F) and a current events presentation. If you do the extra credit questions and study smart for the test you'll pass.

first, my opinion of this teacher is that through my entire educational career (kindergarten through college) i have had only a small handful (3-4) of teachers who i can truly say know how to teach and Mr. Bahman Maneshni is one of them.

secondly, for those of you choose to judge him on the fact that his Iranian (persian, i believe, is the accepted term) your statements are shallow and ignorant. as far as it being hard, if actually applying yourself, doing homework, and obtaining practical knowledge is what you consider hard then if you can't stand the heat get out of the kitchen.

I was scared 2 go 2 this class. Econ is not my thing. I heard Bahman was a hard teacher but fun. He made econ make sense to me, made it real life and if the text sucked,,he'd cut it out & just explain it in 10 min & not make you do stupid work. Mr. Maneshni is a very helpful professor, he is always asking his students if they understand the material and states that he will go over class time to make sure you understand the material. He does have an accent, as long as you pay attention and ask him to repeat things that you did not understand he will do so.

I love how Maneshni actually gives ramifications (a joke or tease) for failure and promotes success. i enjoyed Mr Maneshni's class because he keeps the student proactive: you do your homework prior to class and his lecture will be a fantastic. The class was very interesting as he encouraged participation with insentives for participating. The shy ones became more out-going which i deem very vital for future success in the business world.

I never thought Economics would interest me, but he made the study of it so appealing and relatable to my everyday life. Now I am considering majoring in Finance and I owe it all to him.

Bahman is great, he teaches at a university level. Took both ECN 211 and 212 with him. This is NOT an easy A. You gotta study hard, participate in class, and have strong motivation to get a good grade. That being said, I highly recommend him. His style and humor makes economics interesting to anyone and he uses current events to explain theories.

This is a class if you are not logical thinker, books, even brain surgery can't help. You need to be able to think logically, and when you do his teachings will stay with you for a long time. Bahman makes the subject interesting and is not you typical textbook teacher. He wants you to be able to apply what you learn to the real world. All though his class is not easy it is worth taking if you are willing to work hard. He is very upfront and gets to know all his students. An excellent professor. You HAVE to read the book, your notes, ad handouts to get a good grade in the class. We went from 32 students to 8 this semester, so it shows it's a hard class. However, I've learned more in this class than any other and I came out with a B. Take him if you want a good understanding of the subject.

This class was definitely the toughest one I've ever had, and it drove me into the ground. But an A is possible, as long as you're willing to study like never before. I learned a lot from Bahman, although he made me feel uncomfortable more than once. He's a little too much for me. Proud to say I got an A, but you couldn't pay me to do it again.

I got a feel for Maneshni's teaching style after the first exam. Pretty much skimming the chapter and attempting to answer all the chapter problems is the best thing to do.

If you are looking to actually learn something about Economics, and don't want to be taught strait from Power Point presentations this is a great class. Bahman goes over all the concepts in detail, and gives great lectures. He also makes class fun with his humor.

Bahman claims to be a fellow student, so he's constantly learning about the subject along with you. He's always joking, so don't take anything he says so personally. Just read the chapters, show up to class, and get as many extra credit as possible. They can help you so much on exam grades. One of a kind instructor, that's for sure.

Bahman is the best professor at PVCC. He should be at an elite institution. Probably not due to his inordinate antics. Very personal and will call you out if you are slacking. The bottom line is I got a better macro education than most students in esteemed academic institutions and I got it at a fraction of the cost. Take him if you are serious.

Bahman is an awesome teacher. He encourages his students to come to him for help. His class is based on students actually learning the material and not just memorizing it so the class is HARD. He offers extra credit to be added to the tests based on class participation. STUDY!! It will pay off. If you do not have the time choose a different class.

This is by far the BEST professor I have ever had during my time at PVCC. Bahman cares a lot about his students, and does everything he can to help you understand the material. Do not let any negative comments discourage you from taking this course - if you are involved and on top of your reading, you will enjoy taking his class! :)

I've taken Bahman for both ECN 211 and 212. He is an amazing professor who genuinely cares about his students. There are 4 exams and those are the only thing graded in class. Lots of extra credit, so reading the text before class is highly recommended to get some of those extra credit points! Work hard and you will be able to pass no problem.

Prof. Maneshni has an unusual but effective teaching style. He is very active in his economics classes and doesn't not use a PowerPoint to teach. You are expected to read the chapter before coming into class, but he rewards the people that do. If you work hard, he'll work just as hard for you. But on the flip side, if you slack off he won't care

Alright, everyone is telling you how hard this class is. Its not. Show up and take notes. That simple. Dont miss class, do the reading before every class, participate, and you will have about a letters grade worth of extra credit for every test. Best professor i have had in 5 semesters at PVCC, and the most entertaining one too. Take his class.

Professor Maneshni is one of the few teachers who actually cares about his students and wants you to learn and understand the material, not just memorize it. He WILL call on you frequently and will give you a hard time if you don't know it BUT he also gives great feedback and genuinely wants you to do well.

You would be lucky to have Bahman Maneshni as your professor, as he is 1 of the few who GENUINELY CARES about each of his students & their comprehension of the material. People who say this course is difficult are those who go to school just to pass, not to learn. Bahman is hands down THE BEST PROFESSOR I've ever had, and probably ever will have.

Bahman is the best professor I ever had. And no I mean it! He is the one who got me into Economics, and Now I am in my masters program with one of the top graduate schools in the world. If you are planning to go to this class and just go there to attend you will have a hard time. You will learn in this class, Maneshni means well and will help.

Bahman is one of the greatest professors at PV. If you listen and take notes on his lectures you will be sure to pass the class. He makes every class very interesting and some people do find his humor abrasive. However he genuinely cares about his students and is one of the sweetest, most caring teachers at PV. 100% would take again, so glad I did

The most energetic and passionate professor I have ever met. This guy gets to personally know each student and has been known to attend weddings as well. His exams are difficult, however, if you attend class, you will pass. I loved his MacroEcon class. It was AMAZING.

Bahman is seriously one of the best professors I've ever had. He is very passionate about his subject, and he is hilarious. He only puts tests in the grade book and his tests are difficult, but there is opportunity for extra credit if you've read the chapters. Only take this class if you are serious about economics & you don't have a lot of classes

Makes expectations very clear from the beginning. Anyone complaining about this professor wasn't willing to do the required work. More about concepts than memorization. I am taking him again next semester for microeconomics and can say I am definitely excited to go thr another semester with him.

Very focused on personal commitment to the class, if you take him (which I recommend) be prepared to spend a lot of time doing your own work outside of class. There is no homework but he offers a lot of extra credit if you care to spend your time outside of class, its definitely worth it. Dont come in expecting to be treated like a kid.

Mr. Maneshni is very knowledgeable of economics and can help you, if you work for it, to understand how economics can affect you life personally. Much participation is needed to do well, and he offers extra credit!

Great professor and amazing person. He explains the material very well and relates all the topics to the current economic conditions which helps you understand the material better. I recommend everyone to take his class since you will gain a tremendous knowledge of how economy works.

I've had Bahman for both Macroeconomics (211) and Microeconomics (212) and his class is definitely challenging but as long as you take good notes and study for tests you'll do well! Only grades taken into account are the 4 exams, but if you're looking to actually understand the material this is definitely a great class.

He lives and breaths economics so the class was really difficult. He creates his own tests which are extremely hard. He gives you one true/false study guide before the test. You have to read the articles on his website or you won't understand the questions for the test. You have to put A LOT of work into this class so come to class prepared.

Just read the text. Understand it! You cant go wrong. Devote a whole hour to reading the chapter and another to worksheets. Get as many extra credits by answeing in class questions and I guarantee you an A or B. Also, if you take him, you will have the deepest understanding of economics out of any other class. I was lucky to have as Professor Bahman Maneshni. I had an excellent experience in the Macroeconomics class with Professor Maneshni, always ready to help us, and motivating to move forward and not discouraged. I'm happy with my choice and I would make the same choice if I had to retake this class with Professor Maneshni. Thank You Professor :)

Your experience in this class will depend on your character as a student, if you can apply yourself and put the work in you will love this class. If you want to breeze by, this class isn't for you. If you choose to stay though, Bahman will ensure that you understand the concepts and turns the material into actual knowledge not just memorization.

Bahman is one of the best teachers Ive had. It was a very tough class and he can be hard on the students, but he really cares about them. I looked forward to his class every day. Its not mandatory to show up but Id recommend it. He also doesnt explain what we need to read from the book so dont waste time taking notes. DO THE EXTRA CREDIT WORK!

After taking ECN 211 with Bahman I knew I wanted to take him for ECN 212. His teaching style (which focuses on the textbook, handouts, lectures and the occasional self-researched extra credit questions) forces you to not only do the work but he takes it and makes you understand it. I've learned a great deal from Bahman! Thank you!

Totally unique, crazy, and weird passionate professor that gives out XC like a wildman and gives no real homework. Very brash and loud and in your face type of crazy middle eastern, introverts beware. He made class entertaining and hilarious every day!

10/10 experience. Here's what to expect: 1. A lot of extra credit opportunities (answer questions, do homework) 2. 4 tests make up your entire grade (over book chapters and handouts) 3. Research the topics in the chapters ahead of time to be prepared for extra credits. 4. Tests are hard, but he lets you drop if you fail the first 2.

I have taken two economics courses with Bahman Maneshni and in my opinion, he is the best professor I have come in contact with. He is a disciplined and caring person who does not put up with nonsense. His lectures never contain a wasted minute and if you participate you can earn a lot of extra credit. 4 teststotal semester grade.

Maneshni is a very down to earth professor. Hes very direct and humorous, while sometimes it can be taken the wrong way. Once you get to understand him, you will learn to really enjoy his class. He does require much reading outside of class and participation in class is a MUST if you want to pass his tests. For ECN212 entire grade was from 4 tests

I would have personally rated him a 5 overall, but I went with a 4 because he has a very intense teaching style that might not work well for others. He will tell you when you are wrong so be prepared to speak up when you disagree. Getting a good grade in this class requires participatoin. Don't be shy. He certainly isn't!

Over all really great professor. Makes you work for the grade you want. Its a different style of teaching that no other professor brings up.

Bahman is by far the most unique and personable professor I have ever met. His aura and energy are absolutely unmatched. Even with a subject that most consider dry, such as econ, you will look forward to his class every day. If you are truly looking to learn a great amount of material, this is the person you want.

The test were relatively simple and depending on the amount of participation you demonstrate during class the easier it is to make up for the questions that you find difficult. In essence if you participate in the lecture then the extra credit you earn puts you at ease much more so than if you show up and do/say nothing.

One of a kind and a very unique prof. He cares and loves his students. Knowledge gained from class is priceless as he builds a solid foundation for your future ECON and FIN classes. I took both of his classes, and after transferring to the university, THANKS TO HIM, was able to get straight As in all of my FIN and ECON classes. FIN major 3.98 GPA

Bahman definitely has a unique style of teaching his ECN211 course. It is a difficult course that cannot be taught and understood overnight, so pay attention in class and ask appropriate questions if confused. Overall Bahman is an amazing professor and is willing to work with his students to ensure that they achieve the grade they deserve.

He cares deeply about his students and the subject. I took this class the year after I graduated from highschool, 2012. Pro. Maneshni is the standard I hold my teachers and educators to. 8 years and 30+ college classes later, Pro. Maneshni still outshines the others. His class is challenging (learning a new subject always is) but def not boring.

Do this to succeed: 1. Read the Chapter before class 2. Answer as many questions in class to get LOTS of extra credit that is weighted just like the test 3. Understand the topics from the test review and take that exam. Remember, your B- on a test can EASILY become an A+ just from extra credits. Tou will understand Econ from him, great guy!

Bahman is one of the best instructors I've ever had. He holds high expectations of his students, demands effort, and is a results-not-excuses kind of instructor. You get the grade you earn in his classes. He graded based off of 4 exams, with some opportunity for extra credit (which you have to work for), and your success is in your hands.

Great professor, eccentric personality very outgoing, makes Econ fun and uses everyday examples to illustrate the lessons. You will enjoy this Econ class
