SHE IS NICE. NOT SO MUCH HW. SHE LETS U TURN IN LATE ASSIGNMENTS, SHE GIVES U EXTRA CREDIT. HER TEST ARE KIND OF HARD JUST STUDY YOUR NOTES AND USE YOUR BOOK AS A GUIDE. YOU HAVE TO B IN CLASS SO YOU WONT MISS A LECTURE AND TAKE GOOD NOTES ITS VERY IMPORTANT. SHE ANSWERS QUESTIONS AND SHE UNDERSTANDS THE STUDENTS
Don't take this class if you're the kind of person who doesn't like to sit and listen for hours. Her lectures are not from the book but she knows her stuff. The tests are kinda hard because most of the questions are somewhat "related" to her notes. So unless you're a really good listener and note taker, don't take this class.
her test was based mostly on her notes, but u still hv to read yr book. give out hw and extra credit so u can pull yr grade up. cheat sheet was allow in test and final exam. no boring lecture, and she is a nice professor which like to interact with her students.
She is really nice + smart! The class was surprisingly difficult but I took it during 6 wks + she covers alot of info. Sometimes gets off topic + not all of what she lectures is on tests. Tests r VERY hard!! I studied my ass off for her tests. The class avg for the 1st test was 69%. Read the book + ask her for help bc she will help u alot.
This class was rough during the winter intersession, and worth every second of intense studying. Best textbook ever; I have learned more in these six weeks than in the last two years studying psychology
She is an interesting prof. Her study guides r basically 40 essay ?s u need 2 answer. Study guides r supposed 2 b helpful, not overwhelming. It basically means u need 2 read the entire book & take notes on lectures. Her tests r HARD. The ? r really really tricky. Always 2 possible answers 4 the ?s. Final paper isn't worth much. She is entertaining!
She comes off as being really sincere and approachable. The class was pretty intense, especially over winter intersession, but she always stays on topic and manages to keep things interesting. Tests are pretty hard, but you get to have a page of notes with you. Totally recommend taking her.
She is an amazing teacher that really tries her best to help students learn the fundamentals of psychology. Ask her anything and she'll always have an answer. Her lectures are fun and entertaining. Her tests are extremely difficult, so study the lecture notes, book, and ask questions!
Very nice teacher, but the class is difficult. Her lectures are clear but she goes quickly, so its hard to keep up. Tests are very hard and most of the time you cant fit everything you need on the cheat sheet. If you can learn indepently take her!
she is very nice, but her tests are a little hard.if you major in psycho, take her, you'll learn sth.if its just GE for you,i suggest you to choose another prof.anyway, not that hard to get an A.
i thought she was a good professor and the class overall apretty organized. she asks for three papers per semester i turned in 2 and avg. a C- on tests. I ended with a C in the class. take good notes and you will be fine. I didnt buy the book. very nice and understanding.
heavy accent terrible hand-writing
B/c of her I confirmed Psych a major worth pursuing though I got B in her PSYCH1(:. She's relentlessly consistent, fun, if not hilarious lectures, & easy-to-ace m/c quizzes in PSYCH24 (question(s) majority didn't get, she gives xtra credit to entire class). An inspiration TY Ms Bhadha. I want to be psychiatrist to incorporate Psychology & Medicine.
Dr. Bhadha is great. She made Psych interesting and pertinent. Makes you do some movie watching, and a little writing. but nothing terrible. otherwise, very little homework. tests were good, lectures were interesting and funny. take her for at LEAST one psych class. you wont be disappointed.
amazing teacher! fun lecture & her grading is straight to the pt...all explained in the syllabus. HW is easy, u can have a cheat sheet on tests, final is cumulative, & lots of extra credit. highly recommend u take her!
SHE WAS A FANTASTIC TEACHER GOES OUT OF HER WAY TO HELP. EMAILS YOU PROMPTLY!TELLS YOU WHAT THE 3 PAPERS ARE GOING TO BE ON AND DUE DATE ON THE FIRST DAY! TAKE THIS TEACHER DO IT! I DIDNT USE MY BOOK THE ENTIRE TIME I WAS IN HER CLASS! A WHOLE PAGE OF NOTES ON EACH OF THE 4 TESTS SHE GAVE WILL PROFF READ PAPERS SENT TO HER ONLINE.AND VERY PLEASANT
DON'T TAKE DURING WINTER IF YOU PLAN ON TAKING ANOTHER CLASS. DEVOTE YOUR LIFE TO HER CLASS AND YOU'LL GET AN A.
Took Psych 2 this past winter and got an A while taking another class too! Take this class if you're interested! Her tests are hard, but she lets you use a cheat sheet. Do all the homework and read everything and you'll be fine.
Great teacher, class is really hard but if you do the essays and study for tests youll do fine!
I must warn you...her tests are very, extremely hard. If you read the entire chapters and study the notes you should be fine. For the most part, her study guides can direct you to the questions you may see on the test, however, the study guide is far more complex than it seems. I got an A but gained 6 lbs, never slept, and smoked lots of cigarettes
she's ok.. did not even buy the book for the class.. she gives study guides and lets you use a cheat sheet.. just do the papers and use a cheat sheet..missed 3 weeks of class and still got a B
Was a 6 hour class.... enough said....
yeah. she's not hard, contrary to what most people say. just attend class, and take notes. her tests are basically her lecture. the book is just to help you with the lecture. and you have a cheat sheet. cmon. you're not being asked to memorize. and her papers don't even ask for proper citation. she's cool.
She was haaaard & Im a psych major! We have constant class activities everyday.(must attend!) Her lectures have so much information its extremely hard to keep up. We have 2 test in the entire semester! Its not a good thing trust me! Theres too much info in each test! & the research paper thats due? IMPOSSIBLE UNLESS U HAVE A PHD! DONT TAKE HER!
Dr. Bhadha is a very helpful and understanding professor. The points system is kinda confusing. Alot of points depend on in class/homework assignments so DON'T MISS CLASS. One assignment makes alot of difference. You have a group research topic you get to chose. Overall? If you're a slacker, don't expect a phenomenal grade.
The professor was strict but was still inspiring. It took everything I had to receive my grade, but the class was worth the stress. Study for the tests and always try to do the extra credit and the homework. Don't take this class lightly, but mostly have fun.
Dr. Bhadha is a great professor. She is very knowledgable, and very resourceful. I reccomend her to anyone interested in Psychology. Did all the things a student has to do, and recieved an A =]
Just wonderful! A very passionate teacher who cares if the material makes "sense". She breathes life into the subject matter with her lectures. Always informitive and interesting.
Very strict grading system, rarely gives out full credit or A's, only 2 test, optional final & one huge reserch paper that is done partially with a group. Attendance is important & never lets class go early. She will take advantage of every minute she has of class time. Overall, must work very hard to earn a decent grade.
She is absolutely amazing! She is passionate about the material, she is knowledgeable, and compassionate! Do the assignments, they add up!
Dr. Bhadha is pretty passionate and interesting professor. Allows students to use a study guide completed for tests, we only had 2 papers to write with the option of a 3rd to help your grade. Also 10 points extra credit. Definitely use her study guide, it follows the test almost exactly in terms of info. I plan on taking her again.
worst teacher ever
the worst teacher......you won't understand her accent and handwriteing don't tke her.Her tests are terrible hard and not from study guide that she assign. Not recommended at all:(
She is terrible, bad accent, worst hand writting and we paid hat120 for the book that never been used.more than half a class dropped befor midterm and half of the rest failed,DO NOT TAKE HER u will regret when ur GPA is ruined.
Terrible teacher! In order to pass the class with at least a C you have to read the whole book ten times because everything she says is never on the tests!!
Do NOT misjudge the difficulty of this class. She's a very nice person, and tries hard to make sure her lectures are as simple as possible - far too simple, if you ask me. Her lectures aren't detailed enough to be relevant to the tests, and her 'study guides' don't cover everything. If you can, get another professor.
She is SOOO helpful! she also knows her stuff and she's very passionate about teaching as well, which makes the class even more interesting! I honestly didn't think her class was hard because she explained everything in class and she answers emails super fast. Just read the material and listen to her lecture :) I highly recommend her!
Background: Plan to transfer to UCB or UCLA. Her accent and handwriting are not noticeable. She is great teacher and cares about her students. She will always answer emails, be accommodating, and have office hours. Read, do the cheat sheet based on the study guide, go to class and you will get an a. She will explain the stupidest things.Received: A
The professor is nice, as other said, she always answer your e-mail. The problem is Psych2 highly oriented on biological psychology, which is hard for me as econ major. Her lecture is not interesting, but you can learn something at least. Not recommend for non psych major student
DO YOUR READING AND MAKE YOUR CHEAT SHEETS!!! Put some effort into your reports. Try and have her look at a draft. Pay attention in class. Take notes. I found her tests a little difficult. She only scratches the surface in class so keep up with the reading. There are essay portions so practice that. Really spend time with the study guides she gives
I highly recommend this professor. Some of the papers we have to turn in can be difficult to write at times but it's not impossible. Her class is interesting and she is very helpful with the work. If you ever need help she is always there, don't be scared. :)
Sticks strictly to her Powerpoint and can get tedious sometimes, but she tries her best to grab students' attention by asking questions and talking about interesting things that are not in the textbook. An approachable professor who replies to emails asap. Should go talk to her before turning in the papers because the directions are kinda vague.
She explains all the material clearly that will attracts u to learn deeper about Psychology. She allows one page cheat sheet and some review questions before the test :) She responds email quickly and is an easy grader :)
You WILL need the text book! She only goes over the beginning of each chapter in class, so the rest you will have to read on your own. She lets you use cheat sheets on exams; MAKE USE OF THEM! I typed mine in 10pt font and filled the front and the back corner-to-corner and got an A on every exam. Those who didn't always got "C"s or worse.
You will need the book - get it. She will always go out of her way to offer assistance and returns emails within a an hour. If offered the chance to create a page of notes for your exam, do it carefully and methodically, include EVERYTHING from lecture and powerpoint. It helps to cultivate an interest in this material and GO TO EVERY CLASS.
professor bhadha is a great teacher. she always go out of her way to make sure you understand the material. if you cant come to her office hours she will e-mail you anything you need to get you the grade you want. you do have to put forth an effort but its a great class.
Recommend her class for PSYCH majors ONLY! Takes off points from assignments randomly without any feedback. You must take time out of your day to go see her/email her for feedback. Puts material in her own words and it's confusing when studying for the test. Assignments take a lot of time and energy away from studying for the actual tests!
Honestly, not the best teacher. If you want a hard class that is all over place go ahead and take her. She talks to students like we know what she is talking about and she gets taken off track really easily. She teaches completely different things that are actually on the test, STAY AWAY FROM THIS PROFESSOR
Didn't like her at 1st, thought she was strict-ended up being REALLY understanding prof, you can make up any assignment and gives extra credit. The course itself is complex but she goes over the book content really well in lecture. 1 page cheatsheet, make one and you should be good! Worked hard to earned an A. DEFINITELY recommend for Psych major(:
Professor Bhadha is AMAZING. I can't believe she doesn't have close to a 5, because she is one of the best professors I have ever had. She is eager to help you learn psychology, and so long as you are a good student, you will do well in her class. You can tell that she loves what she dos and knows what she is talking about! :)
She is a really great teacher. If you need her she is there for you. at first she may seem a bit strict but really enjoys what she does.
She truly cares about her students success. I loved taking this class because she was really easy to understand, as long as you take notes and read the text. There is no reason that you should receive anything lower than an B in this class!
Prof. Bhadha is a wonderful psychology professor. She knows the stuff and loves her job. Her grading scale is very reasonable and clear. She allows us to have a "cheat sheet" during the test and as long as you pay attention in class, you should do well in her class. She is very helpful and very patient! Take her!
For PSYCHOLOGY 1, her tests and final were based off of the textbook, so just read it and you'll find it easy. Homework was short and easy, worth ten points. She gives 8 debate paper topics and you choose five to do. 2 pages. 10 pts. extra credit project due at end of semester. Very intelligent and kind professor. Probably would want to take again.
I honestly don't think the 2.9 for easiness is accurate. It should a be a five. She is THE KINDEST, THE SMARTEST, AND THE MOST CARING teacher ever. Her tests are a breeze so long as you read your textbook. Final is NOT CUMMULATIVE AND IS ALSO A BREEZE if you read your textbook. Try to get on her good side by showing that you CARE about her class.
Being a Psych major i was really excited to take Intro to Psych and with Professor Bhadha as my first professor I couldn't be happier. She was a really nice lady, really cared for her students. She likes to use the entire class time to teach and makes sure she gives as much information as possible. Open book test, and I believe there were 4 tests.
Professor is super helpful and respond quickly to emails. Gives weekly homework, 4 tests, 2 papers. The class is easy enough as long as you try. She allows you to bring a cheat sheet for every test so make good use of that. She is also willing to look at drafts of your paper and provides helpful feedback. This class is a lot of work but not hard.
Professor Bhadha is an amazing psych professor. She is extremely helpful and passionate in her classes. She goes above and beyond to help you understand the material. Also gives extra credit which can help you if you are borderline. Allows cheat sheets during her exams which is great.
I LOVE Professor Bhadha! She is so nice and is willing to help you if you are having trouble. Her lectures go by quickly because she is thorough, won't make you feel stupid if you participate in discussions, and hilarious!! I would highly recommend taking her class even if you aren't a psych major.
This class can be an easy A if you just do all the work and even then the professor offers a ton of extra credit. There are five debate papers, a final research paper, four exams, and little homework assignments in between. She allows a cheat sheet for every exam so there is no reason not to pass. Overall she is a great teacher!
Psych 1(H): 5 papers, 4 exams, 1 final paper (extension of 1/5 debate papers) Psych 2: 4 exams, OPTIONAL final, 1 final paper Allows a 2 sided cheat sheet on each exam (fill with EVERYTHING from the POWERPOINTS & SG), you don't HAVE to read the book but you should, little HW, gives EC Psych 2 is harder than psych 1 by the way. GREAT teacher!!!
Her class was very simple. Assigns minimal homework and lectures the entire class time. 4 tests in total and 2 papers. She's very nice and will help you if you need it. Uses a free textbook!
Professor Bhadha is definitely one of my favorite teachers at PCC so far. Her class almost made me change my major to psychology. I found her teaching to be very easily understood. The class was easy and I definitely would take another one of her classes. Just make sure to follow her syllabus!
This is by far one of my favorite classes that i have taken here at pcc. Professor Bhadha is such an amazing lecture, truly inspirational, almost made me want to change majors. You can use a double sided cheat sheet for each test. A bit of a tough grader on the research papers and homework assignments if you dont do exactly what she askes for.
If you get a C 2 test out of 4, there is no way that you can get a B in this class.
Professor Bhadha is seriously a wonderful educator.. She truly cares about her students and she is extremely lenient, just don't take advantage of it. She is always willing to answer questions if you send her an email. 2 essays, 1 midterm, 1 final. Stay on top of your discussions, the weekly modules, and you will do just fine!
Professor Bhadha is amazing!! I took Psych1 with her, and this semester taking Psych2. I have never written a review here, but seeing all those negative reviews about professor Bhadha made me write one because I don't undesrtand what they are talking about. If you have any questions, you can easily talk to her after class or during office hours.
Professor Bhada was great! She's so enthusiastic about psychology that in turn it is kind of infectious. Her class has even inspired me to minor in psychology. I throughly enjoyed her class but I would like to point out that her study guides are just that - a guide. Don't expect the same questions to appear on her tests.
Bhadha is hands down my favorite professor that I've ever had. She is incredibly kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. She understands that students have lives outside of class and is always available at her office hours or via email. I plan on taking as many of her classes that I can, her projects were so fun! I highly recommend her.
Professor Bhadha is an absolutely tremendous professor, with a lot of students who can vouch for the admiration. She does her best to keep the class engaged, and the overall environment is what makes her students come to ever lecture. Extra credit, make sure you get study on the exams, and begin asap on the Psych paper to have her critique it.
Professor Bhadha is a funny smart woman. She loves psychology and teaching it so she makes sure that everyone understands the material. She allows a cheat sheet on tests but most of the time she asks questions that weren't on the study guide or what she did not go over.
My first semester in college after a 4yr break I was skeptical about school. Professor Bhadha is very caring and respectful. She makes the lecture fun and allows cheat sheets. I recommend to read the book before the test it makes it easier so you do not have to depend on the lecture notes as much.
One of the best teachers I've encountered, she is easy if you're interested in psychology. I took her for psych 1 and now I'm taking her for psych 2. She makes the class interesting and she loves to teach. She is honestly not a tough grader if you actually do the homework with effort.
very sweet professor wants you to actually learn and she cares about her students. Class ends right on the dot so don't try to leave early. She makes psychology fun
Bhadha is one of the best professors I have ever had. Her corky personality makes coming to class much easier. The material itself is not very easy, but she does her best to convey it in a way that you'll understand. 4 exams, w/ an optional open-book final and 1 paper. Offers a lot of extra credit. She always goes above and beyond to help you.
I loved professor Bhadha! This was my second time taking her, and really enjoyed it. She is well respected and has a passion for what she teaches. She makes the lectures enjoyable to listen to. However, her exams are hard so definitely study.
She is truly passionate about psychology and will make you understand the subject thoroughly. It helps to go to class cuz she is an amazing lecturer, but if u go off the book you should be okay. If you aren't a reader, just attend class and you'll be fine. STUDY GUIDES ARE KEY to pass tests. Answer the SG q's through notes and books n u will ACE it
Great professor, lectures are entertaining but you can get an A with mainly textbook use. Free textbook (openstax), study guides are mirror images of test, I would study 5 hours before the exam and get an A, SG are so important. Gives extra credit, lots of debate papers (5) but not hard. Final isn't cumulative. Take her! I took her for honors
Dr. Bhada is the most caring professor I have met at PCC. She is willing to work with you if you ask. All quizzes are open-note so they are easy to ace, but there are many homework assignments for this class. Five papers total throughout the semester and she is a tough and somewhat inconsistent grader. You WILL need the textbook for this class.
Her lectures are super interesting. She obviously loves what she teaches. She's a super tough grader and not always accurate. She's inconsistent so don't trust past graded papers for reference. Quizzes every like 2 weeks. 5 reading assignments, optional final. Allowed one sized sheet of paper for notes on quiz. Take her if you're a perfectionist
This class was great. Professor Bakhtawar is very helpful, and I enjoyed learning about this subject. Just keep up with the weekly responses, and do what is asked, and you're home free. I highly recommend taking her class.
Dr. Bhada is the most kind-hearted professor you will meet at PCC. Class was fun because she made lecture hilarious and entertaining-. Her tests are all open note with seven of them throughout the semester, and there were many reading assignments (five if I remember correctly). She is an inconsistent grader though and isn't clear on her criteria.
Bhadha has a good sense of humor and cares about her students. She loves teaching and giving lectures that it is always exciting. Also you need to study the textbook given online and make sure you make a solid cheat sheet. She tells what is on the test most of the time. If you miss an exam, you can visit her office hours and take it. very joyful :D
Toughest garder. She is too picky and very ungenerous. Very bias on who she likes it seems. Gives bad grades and does not exactly explain why the grade is so low in the feedback. Avoid if you don't want to ruin your gpa.
Hardest professor I've ever had. very tough grader. feels like an english class instead of psychology.
Dr. Bhadha is a very kind-hearted, patient professor. If you speak with her during office hours or through email, she can help you achieve the best that you can. Writing is not as intense as an English class, but there are several writing assignments and two research papers throughout the class. Overall a great professor, one of the better ones.
Prof. Bhadha's class is extremely easy to understand. Her exams always correlated to the study guides that she posted on Canvas. She also allowed a "cheat sheet" for every single exam. The essay questions on the test were never extensive, and were always topics that she covered in class. The textbook was free and online. 10/10 would recommend!
I took her class based on all of the positive reviews but I really regret it. She seems incredibly fake and I while I asked for help on some of the papers, I would constantly receive a high B on them. I understand that it was an honors class, but I really wish she had more of clear grading criteria. Definitely just take another Psych teacher.
I have taken Dr. Bhadha for multiple classes and she is truly one of the best at PCC. She goes out of her way to make sure you understand the content. She is always available to help. 4 exams which she gives a study guide for each and lets you use a cheat sheet on the exam. 3 writing assignments, and theres even extra credit! Easy A!
I personally liked this professor. She is veryyy lecture heavy and she she will keep the class to the last minute. She is funny and caring. She really has a passion for Psychology and is so enthusiastic about it. She want you to understand and be as excited as her! 4 test and 2 essays, extra credit available for every test.
Dr. Bhadha is phenomenal. She carries a clear passion for the material, and that excitement comes across in a way that makes it fun to digest the material. She offers plenty of extra credit to make up for the difficulty of the subject. Her study guides were life savers on the exam. She's a truly caring individual, take this class!
Her class is very lecture-heavy to the point where you almost fall asleep. The tests are kinda hard and there are some things on there that werent in the study guide so take really good notes! She offers extra credit after every test, be sure to do it!! Overall shes really nice and wants the class to participate.
This professor is extremely knowledgeable in her subject, and she IS a tough grader. She expects a lot from you, but she always willing to help. I literally work my ass off for the class. But I don't regret taking her because I really LEARN a lot from this class.
She is one of the greatest proffesors for psych she knows her material very well and does a great job teaching it. This class is time consuming however she has a study guide for every test and she allows a cheat sheet front and back for all for tests there is no final, not an easy A but not difficult either, also offers extra credit for each test!
I enjoyed the class. It was tough because it is an honor class. If you are taking the honor class, be aware that you will do 5 debate papers and a final research paper and they are not easy. You need to do a lot of research paper, but you can ask her about the article that you will use and she will help you. The homework and the tests are okay.
She is a great teacher. She is always open to give you feedback on your papers and assignments. Do your work, listen to lectures(which are always interesting) and use the study guide.
She is goooooooooooood.
Caring professor who will definitely help you to succeed!
As long as you participate and actually read the important sections of the textbook, you'll do fine. She offers a ton of help and you get a cheat sheet for her tests. She really cares about the subject and her students. I highly recommend her!
This is not the first time I take an only class. Yet, I feel I've worked harder for this class than any other taken before and still can't seem to improve a B. Very tough grader, deducts point for EVERYTHING. If it wasn't for the text scores having more weight than the discussions I would not have been able to pass this class.
She's honestly so cool. I really was inspired by her to do well. She would have us do hands-on learning a couple of times and I thought that was rad. Note: eating an apple with your nose plugged is surprisingly terrible. Who knew! I didn't before this class!
Over 40 assignments. Two reports. Midterm and Final. Docks points for anything. Each assignment has sub-assignments. Not recommended.
If you are not an over the average student then I don't recommend her class. Also her lectures are so boring. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PROFESSOR. GO FIND A DIFFERENT ONE. TRUST ME!
Straightforward in grading and expectations Lectures are on powerpoints in case you missed something Does not require textbook Provides study guides that are representative of tests Not too much homework Understanding of student's situations, will work with you Not satisfied with grades you're getting? Go in for office hours and to get straigh ans
she was a really good professor. its not that she's hard, psych 2 is what is hard. that class is pretty challenging but prof bhadha really tries her best to work with all her students and make sure that they are doing well in her class. she assigns 4 research assignments that correspond w some chapters and has 4 tests. study and you'll be fine
easy class. do the assignments on time and theres no reason you wouldn't get an A. all quiz answers on on quizlet. no midterm or final in 6 week class. helpful professor
She is sooooooo cool. I love her lecture. It was not boaring even though I took morning class. Exam are kind of hard, but if you really study you'll get good grade. She is really care about student. The most important thing is SHE DOESN'T GIVE YOU FINAL.
SHE'S AMAZING!!! I took her honors class and if I could take it again for fun I would. She's really funny and makes the class extremely fun. There are 5 debate papers in psych 1H and one final paper. It sounds rough, but it really isnt too bad. Just make sure you know how to do APA format! Great class.
She is the most caring and genuine teacher i have ever met. Her lectures are long and she does go into a lot of detail per section she lectures. She does like people who participate and she makes you talk to the people around you. Overall I would recommend she's great!
This class started normal and went online because of covid. She was fantastic at communication. She gave me every chance to make up late work because I work healthcare and my hours went through the roof. Theres a lot of reading but it isnt hard because she makes it very clear what you should take away from it. She wants you to succeed.
She made my first college semester super easy, and it was an HONORS class! The way to get an A is to reach out to her, and shell walk you through everything else. Theres 6 essays total BUT she lets you double space and theres only a 2 page requirement, offers extra credit too. Shes caring, inspirational, and wants you to succeed! TAKE HER!
DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR!! She is so picky about everything and docks points for every little thing. She constantly says contact me if you have any questions, but she sounds so bothered when you do and her tone is really harsh in her emails. She is not understanding at all and is very hard-headed. Had a horrible experience in her class.
One of the nicest professors I've had. She is not picky at all about grading like one of the other reviews said, & she literally gives a rubric for like every assignment so you know exactly what to turn in. There are 5 2-page debate papers if you take honors and a final paper which can just be an extended version of one of the others. Not too hard.
One of the most passionate professors I've met at PCC. Really knows the material and has many great examples to explain concepts. Encouraging and friendly. I enjoyed the class meetings; asked us questions to help us learn new ideas. Definitely need to read the book and take notes to prepare for exams. Responds to emails and questions quickly!
I think the negative reviews are because she can be a bit socially awkward which effects her tone of voice, but she cares & it's obvious. Read your free textbook, do the study guides the week of a test & make an effort on the papers. Lectures are recorded & a bit all over the place you don't need them for an A if you're self disciplined.
An amazing professor! Always there for her students and is more than willing to help with anything. Her class is structured with 5 debate papers and 4 exams. Loved her class so much!
She's a GOAT (Greatest Of All Time). When I was going through some tough situations, she understood my issues and was very loving. I can tell that she cared a lot about helping others and that is a great quality that she has. Her class is easy as long as you read the textbook properly. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to her.
She's really caring. She would ask us about little tiny things other profs don't usually ask, which I kind of like it. She's funny, even though it's awkward sometimes. I would definitely take this class again if I have to. I like her.
She is so kind and caring, and I would absolutely take her class again. The workload is light and manageable. She can be a little picky on grading the papers, but she makes it clear that if you send it to her beforehand for feedback, she is happy to work with you to correct your mistakes. Exams are easy, just read the textbook. She is great!!
Fav prof I've had at PCC. So kind and caring and genuinely dedicated to helping students learn and succeed. Light workload, perfectly manageable tests, and plenty of options for making up points. Even if you're not a psych major she keeps the class interesting & allows students to tailor coursework to their own interests where applicable. Love her!
She's so passionate about teaching and improving student's life. She's always open for any question/concern student might have. She is also really funny, she always tell us joke and all those stuff. As long as you listen to her lecture, you should be able to pass the class with an A. Take her!
I love her, but I dropped it because her assignments were kinda heavy for me. She is so nice she will help you especially if you're confused about the assignments.
Literally the most caring, sweet, and available professor I've ever had! Her lectures are entertaining, engaging, and amusing haha. She makes it a point to always be available to be contacted and that is so helpful. She has a real passion for teaching and if you take her you won't regret it! I recommend taking her in person for the full experience!
This is a late review, as I had professor Bhadha last semester, but that should be telling as to how much I enjoyed the class. She is caring, and makes the class fun yet interesting. The workload isnt that bad really, the only thing I wasn't too big of a fan of were debate papers which are two pages long and you have to get six done. Take her!!
Took the online summer class so never interacted with the professor in person, but she seems super nice and caring. Class is really easy, just do the assignments and if you have any problems and questions just ask the professor.
AMAZING. If this woman doesn't receive a raise I might make it a problem. She's caring. She gives you the opportunity to make up lower grade assignments. This woman cares. It's not just blindly assigning and blindly grading. She also indulges in what you say on your work. She doesn't just assign and grade. She interreacts.
I had initial reservations about her, but she grew on. She cares and wants you to learn. What I loved about this class is her making you think differently. Straight forward and gives you multiple opportunities to get an A. You will learn everything about her as a mother and her children, which can get a little annoying.
One of the nicest and down to earth professors I've had. She's very accessible outside of class. Weekly assignments and a discussion, which are very easy to complete. If you need this class for a requirement, take it. One of the most interesting classes I've taken.
I took this class over winter and it went by pretty fast. All the assignments were pretty straight forward. There were a lot of discussions but she grades pretty fairly.
Professor Bhadha is very caring. There is a lot of real life examples in her lectures. She will always give you a feedback and a chance to improve your grade. Be ready to do a lot of discussions and final paper is time consuming. I believe it is better to have more homework, because you can gradually build up your grade.
Professor Bhadha is truly an exceptional educator. She has a remarkable ability to make complex psychological concepts accessible and engaging, even in an online setting. She provides excellent feedback, fostering an environment where students feel motivated to do their best. I highly recommend taking her class if you have the opportunity!
Professor Bhadha is incredibly informative, helpful, hilarious, and caring. You can tell during her lectures and in your communication with her that she cares about her student's success. You will take something away from this course! Her research project is so helpful for psychology majors and equally fun to put together!
Professor Bakhtawar is passionate and engaging, though can be particular. Stay on top of the work, use resources like Unstuck ai, and you'll do well. Overall, a rewarding class.
Class will never be boring. She's super passionate about her work. She is funny and caring. She actually has you take a survey to get to know you. She understands some of us work and take care of our elders. She replies to emails and will help you after class or during office hours. She truly wants to see her students succeed.
Incredibly caring professor who even out of class I was able to get in contact with. The lectures were clear, her feedback was clear, and overall she was a great professor. Textbook is free, and the work is writing assignments and exams which she allows retakes on. Overall would recommend taking Professor Bhadha.
Very nice but rambles a lot and every class was basically just lectures. She does accept late work but grades kind of hard.
I LOVE YOU PROFESSOR BHADHA! She reminds me of my grandma, intelligent and someone who actually cares about you! Her lectures were based off everything she had posted in the Canvas modules, so you can self study with ease or listen to her speak! Her grading is also lenient, just put effort and she will respect you! She encourages discussion too!
Provided too much lecture materials that are non-relevant to her assignments or exams. Wants you to think real hard about what you learn from course lectures and sometimes the material we get tested on are not even based on them. She is a VERY harsh grader and the questions she asks on her assignments are not very detailed and can be confusing.
Assignments are graded strictly, the material is irrelevant to the reading material, and lots of papers are given.
very kind and understanding professor, if you have taken AP psych, or any lifespan development class, you are not learning anything new. thought it would be more specific, but it felt very general. Tbh if you missed majority of the classes you could still pass the class easy. Also essays r a big part of your grade.
I did the online class and I would not recommend taking this course as it is assignment heavy. Some of the assignments need a lot of reading to finish and she would give two huge assignments plus a quiz to complete during an exam week. Her AI policy is not clear and very strict. Overall, she is a caring professor and not a tough grader.
DONT TAKE. STAY AWAY. the worst and unprofessional person ever. has no idea what shes teaching. students would ask her something about the things she was teaching and never had an answer, always "I'm not sure" she always wants to be right and will lower your grade if you disagree. every week I had to grip onto my seat to see what BS she came up wit
I took lifespan developmental psych and it was an enjoyable class. She talks a lot and the lectures can drag on, but her class is really easy. Not a harsh grader and lets you turn in late work.
