He's boring. The text book is only useful to do the assignments because the assignments are from the textbook. Show up to every class because the NOTES ARE NOT POSTED ONLINE!
Thick accent, very much sticks to the slide show but faculty policy is that its not posted online.
useless class.. uninteresting prof. no notes posted on blackboard but you have to read the textbook anyways since the slides in class dont have all the info for exams.. make sure to be anything but last or second last in globus simulation game or you have extra work on your report.. questions on exams are right out of test bank from previous years
He is a great professor but it is your responsibility to show up to each lecture and take notes. Also, going over lecture notes is not enough in this class. You need to read the textbook and watch the videos he sends you. Only then can you do really well on his midterm and final exam. Also, don't talk or text during his class.
he is very confusing to understand. do not stand out in class or he will ask you questions during the exam review. make sure to hide behind the desk in theatre so he doesn't ask you any thing.
he engages the class i=with interesting conversations
Go to his class or he will call you out!! Overall good marker and wants you to do well if you go to class
He's an alright prof. Pretty easy. Read his slides and you'll be fine. Tends to talk a lot about africa...
extremely easy but he is almost no good at helping
Honestly, it was the easiest class I have ever taken in my life(middle-school, high-school, university). That being said, you have to come to class because the GMS course wont post online notes so the class is your only chance of getting notes. The group project was so arbitrary in it's points structure that I suggest you just play around with it.
Doesn't really read my emails, doesn't answer my questions but the assignments are easy enough for it not to matter and everything is within the textbook so you don't need to understand a word he says since its all out of the textbook.
The bad definitely outweighs the good. He lives on participation in the class. He is not afraid to call you out and embarrass you. His exams are pretty bad. His slides are very vague, there was barely anything from the slides & textbook on the exam & basically just random things he says in class. You have to come & listen to pass the class
Tends to call people out to speak at the front of the class, and speaks with a thick accent. Other than that the class was pretty easy
BORING
Boring Professor, seems like he asks questions just because he enjoys watching them get it wrong.
Show up to every class because the slides are not posted on BB. Don't talk or text in his class. You will be humiliated in front of everyone. Also, even if you show up 5 minutes late, he'll stop talking, turn to you, and practically humiliate you for showing up late. Midterm and final aren't that difficult. Just read the book and take good notes.
Interesting videos on Global management and engaging lectures, makes 8am bearable. Fair grading criteria and cares for all the students. Go to class and you'll be fine. Would definitely recommend for CGMS 200.
Interesting videos on Global management and engaging lectures, makes 8am bearable. Fair grading criteria. Very fair and cares for all the students. Go to class and you'll be fine. Would definitely recommend for CGMS 200.
He makes this class much harder than it needs to be. His midterms and exams are different than other teachers. LISTEN in class to even the insignifcant details, stupid questions will end up on exam like "what is the distance between malaysia and egypt" cuz he said it in class ONCE. read the textbook it will save you. and he has awful lecture notes.
Solid teacher, easy class.. can't go wrong with this professor.
Unfortunately this teacher was the replacement for the one i originally picked. He is such a bad lecturer, his notes aren't even his and when he tries to explain things with pen and paper it is like reading a foreign language. His tests have questions like "how far is this from that" Will not respond to emails even if its urgent and you stress it
Good Professor if you want to learn - he takes the subject seriously, and calls some people out for various things. However, he is a very fair marker and will give lots of part marks. He also remembers all his students, so if you show up to class consistently, he will help you out. He provides a lot of his own researched content for you to read.
Bamidele makes this class bearable, his social quirks are a little distracting, but he is incredibly smart! This course is VERY EASY, half of it is review of ECN 104 and QMS 202. His Midterm AND Final was 90% from handouts in class. Read those articles & Differentiate!!! As long as you practise with power points you're golden. DO NOT BUY TEXTBOOK.
Really good professor. Just go over the problems he does in class and review the power-point slides and you can easily do well in his class.
He is an amazing prof. His lectures are helpful in understanding the material (I didn't even touch the textbook). Not only that, but he gives us articles to read that he has published. He is extremely knowledgeable, and applies the concepts we learn to real life. Tests are easy (of you do all the practice problems), and final exam is also easy.
Rarely ever went to class and ended up with a 3.67. One day I went to class and he called me out in front of everyone for never attending lectures. He's rude and doesn't care about his students. Tests are word-for-word the practices questions given on D2L and taken up in class.
He's a good prof, gets his point across, but he literally always looks up when he talks which is kinda annoying! If you piss him off HE WILL CALL YOU OUT! The only reason this class is easy is because his tests are the EXACT same as his practice questions. Be sure to memorize those word-for-word!!
I'm gonna make it simple, this guy is the clear winner of Ryerson's worst professor award. He doesn't post lectures online, and he calls out students and embarrasses them regularly. Also, his tests are wack and there are questions like what is Tanzania's official language. He makes this class harder than it needs to be. I wouldnt wish him on anyone
This is the worst professor I have ever had in my entire life. He will disrespect you and treat you like crap. Currently filling a complain to the dean about his unprofessionalism and abuse of power. My friend told me not to take his class. He filed a complain in the past too. Should of listened.
Great Prof- If you put the effort and show him that you want to do well, he will go above and beyond to help you by explaining theories in depth to give you a more clearer perspective of concepts. Go to class-participate and review all slides- this will get you a decent mark.
He made it harder that it should be!!!
Its honestly perfectly fine if you just look over your notes, go to class, listen (not really) and do the practice questions he goes over in class (or you can just have someone who goes to class give you the answers) because those are literally all that is on the midterms. If you pass those than your gucci, you automatic pass the course fam!!
The material is boring, but its basically all the stuff you learned in Microeconomics. He knows his stuff and will help you if you ask. The tests and exam are super easy because theyre basically the same as all his practice questions. You can even find all the answers if you google them. Just do that and read his articles and youll ace it all
Basically Microeconomics all over again. Easy Class if you go to class and get the answers to the practice questions as both his midterms are the practice questions. His final is all the practice questions throughout the year so you can basically remember the answers. Also read the articles because he gives pop quizzes on them. Textbook not needed.
His ppt is a guideline for important topics and in class lectures turn into discussions to apply the theories to real life events. In smaller classes his lectures are more personal and easy to hear. His midterms and final is based on class ppt and lectures, very clear and likes student feedback and questions.
He will call you out if ur talking in the middle of class. He calls out random people to answer questions. It can be incredibly nerve-racking but he will work through it with you. He's incredibly knowledgeable about the content. Tests are exact same as practice questions he gives you. I never read the articles, big mistake.
One of the worse preofessors Ive had so far he likes to twist concepts around to confuse students on his tests. Even if you study everything and know everything you really have to think to understand what he is asking. His tests are mainly short answer questions. He picks on people in class and likes to embarass them. I wish i never took his class
Honestly I think this prof is one of the best profs at Ryerson. Ive taken two of his classes and Ive learned in both classes. He cracks a lot of jokes but he means well. If students got over the idea that they must be handed a good grade and worked for it they wouldnt judge this prof so harshly. Hands down one of the greatest profs. You learn!!!
Ironically, this course is easier than GMS402. It's divided up in 3 sections for 2 non-cumulative midterms & a cumulative final. No M/C all short answer but its better indicator of knowing concepts. Takes the whole class to explain concepts using international examples: OBOR, OSBP, Supply Management, etc.. I learned more in this class than 690,621.
Bamidele Adekunle is a prof which is below average. His lectures are very long and boring and unclear to an extent. The textbook was not used and the tests are straight out of his practice questions. He responds late to emails, don't bother sending... Overall he's a little weird and the class is flat out boring. Take it online or with someone else.
He's not the worst prof you could have. Best part about his class is that the tests will be the EXACT same questions as the homework questions he gives every week. So although his classes are boring, go to them because he will go over the homework questions which will be the exact questions on your tests. READ THE ARTICLES
He is a decent prof for the course. Study the articles and everything he does in class and you are good.
He's actually quite a caring prof if you talk with him. Very passionate about his subject. Attend lectures, do the articles reading (must) and do the practice problems (must). Read the slides also and you'll be ok.
This professor calls people out in class at any given moment, gives pop quizzes unannounced, and is disrespectful to his students. Once he tried to start a fight with me and I was mature enough to back out of it. Literally, avoid him.
BAMIDELE IS A GOD AMONG MORTALS!!! WE ARE not AND I REPEAT NOT WORTHY OF HIS EPIC LOVE. HE IS KIND, HE IS BENELOVENT, BUT MOST OF ALL HE IS MERCIFUL... WHATEVER YOU DO THOUGH, DO NOT MEET HIS GAZE WHEN HE LOWERS HIS EYES FROM THE CEILING,.... or you WILL TURN TO DUST.........
Prof's lectures are pretty difficult to follow as slides are not posted on D2L. Tougher marker than other GMS 200 profs. Exams include information that was spoken about in class for about 5 seconds (e.g. what is the official language of Tanzania)
He won't make any announcement about exams or quizzes online, so the only way is going to his boring class.
He is so kind and caring towards his students. No need to buy the textbook because his exams are literally EXACTLY the same as his practice questions he gives. EXACTLY. Trust me, his class is an Easy A. Practice the powerpoint and practice questions and you're golden. Also, PLS READ THE ARTICLES. They're on the quizzes + exams! Love this prof!!
Didn't absorb any information
Mid-term and Final were much more difficult in comparisons with the other GMS402 prof. Only basis for grades were a midterm, final and 2 pop quizzes. Really need to attend his lectures, and go over his lecture slides. If I had the chance to go back in time and choose the other GMS402, I would.
His course structure makes 0 sense. He's very boring and dull but to understand the material you have to attend the lectures. If you do the homework questions you're basically good for the midterms and finals because they're the EXACT same questions. I wish I got another prof for this class.
His lectures are the full 3 hours, which compared to other classes, is long. Hes really mono-toned. You have a couple writing assignments and one midterm test. The tests arent that hard, speaking from an average grade student. Theres a PDF of the textbook and I only used it for one assignment. I wouldnt take him again though.
Exams are very content-heavy in a short period of time, however, a majority of the questions are given ahead of time.
Decent prof overall and pretty easy A. He assigned a group project with no direction and no class time to complete it, then got mad at students during lectures when they tried to email him and ask questions.
Pretty good prof, fairly easy marking. Semester-long group project that he doesn't really explain. The exams have random questions about Africa that aren't in the slides, pretty easy to guess the right answer though. I assume its cause he's African.
This man will make you sit through 3 hour lectures (he does not post pre recorded ones) and expects you to learn as he speaks. He doesn't like answering questions related to assignments or exams AT ALL. He wont even bother to post announcements regarding exams or assignments. Will also only ever say "everything on d2l is on the exam." Useless.
avoid at all costs. extremely hard marker, very rude and arrogant.
Definitely would take it again, the midterm and final were taken straight from the slides and the GLO-BUS simulation was easy as long as you pay attention.
It could be that he's better in-person, but online he's not a good teacher at all. I started skipping his lectures and I still got great marks. The written assignments are pretty easy and the midterm and exam questions you can find pretty easily just by googling
seemed nice but tend to get frustrated at students for asking certain questions he wouldn't always give a clear answer some of the questions on the final or midterms had to do with random stuff like the name of a certain plant he mentioned in class or sm lmaoo make sure to pay attention in class bc he doesn't post lecture recordings
Okay this mans lectures are sooooo boring he just talks and talks, id recommend just making jot notes on info he says on top of what is in his slides. Also the group project all depends on how reliable your members are, try and set up weekly meeting to go over the project. FYI he wont explain a single thing about GLOBUS (Group project software).
He makes you read a lot of outside articles that are mostly boring and irrelevant be prepared because they will be on the exams. He is kinda confusing and his classes are all over the place, he sometimes does pop quizzes which require you to show up to class. He takes a really long time to release exam marks.
You will learn nothing in his class. He test you on the nonsense articles he wrote and doesnt provide feedbacks for how to answer these types of questions. Most of the final and midterms questions are based on the practice questions he gives, but you will lose mark on the questions based on the articles and videos he provides.
Please if you have a chance, SWITCH TO ANOTHER PROF! The multiple choice portion of his exam is fine but the article questions are useless as most don't correlate with course topics at all. Didn't learn anything from this class. Also, be ready for extremely late exam marks. (our final exam was 26 days ago and marks are still not up on D2L)
He's a pretty good professor and he isn't a tough grader, I did the bare minimum and got an A- (I missed one assignment that was worth 5% of the grade but if I didn't miss it, i would've gotten an easy A+). It's fine to not attend lectures as long as you read the textbook, even better if you make notes ahead of time for the exams
He's a good guy, really cool and lenient overall, but not the best teacher. He has a heavy accent and talks about irrelevant things in the weekly 3 hour lectures he doesn't record, so you have to attend. There's also some specific questions on the midterm and exam, about something he randomly mentioned in a lecture.
Decent prof, very helpful and polite throughout the semester. His lectures are good, but some days I couldn't make it so the textbook was sufficient enough for me to understand the material. Overall he doesn't make the class hard, but make sure you study EVERYTHING for the midterm because the one chapter I didn't study - was covered the most on it!
he is the worst at explaining anything. He got mad at a student for asking him to clarify something
this dude is the absolute worst. he does not know how to teach to save his life. his lectures are just words and no examples. he gives us practice questions and gets mad for no reason when we ask for the answers. like how are we supposed to learn from the practice questions if we dont know if the our answers are correct or not...
Not a good prof at all. Heavy accent making it hard to understand at times. 2 POP QUIZZES! Who does pop quizzes in uni? Attaches like 5 articles in addition to the lecture slides, which are not related to the course sometimes. Only good thing is both midterms and final are very similar to the practice questions he gives
Avoid taking this professor if you can. While the information given in lectures is important, you will find yourself bored within the first half of the class. His grading is also unnecessarily tough and it is not based on any given rubrics. When you have questions about assignments, it is almost impossible to reach him within a respected time.
Bamidele is not the best professor honestly but he's not the worst either. If you have a decent general knowledge about economics you should be fine for this course regardless. He takes his test and final questions word for word from the practice questions so just memorize those honestly.
He was an alright prof. The m/c on the midterms were the exact same as the practice problems. The only challenging part was the questions about the articles. They weren't hard, it was more difficult to know what to write down. He didn't provide feedback for questions where I only missed 1 mark (ex. 4/5). He also gives pop quizzes (5% total).
For all exams, make sure to memorize the practice questions bc they'll 100% be on it. Try not to ask questions bc he remembers faces and if u ask a dumb (by his standards) question then he'll look at u disapprovingly for the rest of the sem. Not the worst prof, easy to get a good mark if u attend classes and listen well.
Very thick accent and hard to understand. The only professor out of all of the GMS200 professors to do in-person and closed-book midterms. Other profs did online and open book. Very boring and slow lectures.
Required students to do mid-term in person, without notes, for an hour and 30 minutes. Took it upon himself to add lecture-specific topics on the mid-term. 3-hour lectures, students hardly showing up and not paying attention... Fair, but why make it so that everyone has to suffer by trying to recall what happened 6 weeks ago in a 3-hour lecture.
For midterms and exams, get ready to remember everything he said in class, as the resources he shares online are not enough for studying. Tests are in person without any notes, which makes It hard to get a good grade without putting a lot of time in notes and reviews.
The professor's accent is too heavy. Most of my classmates could not understand anything. Sometimes all I could hear was mumbling that affected my grade a lot. I lost track in the first few classes and all the exams are based on lectures since I could not understand the lectures I did not do well in exams He also overcomplicates everything.
His accent and his tone make it hard to pay attention in his class, which is really important as midterms and exams have questions that were only discussed in class during 3-hour lectures, which are too easy to zone out from. Assignments are easy marks as long as you put decent time into it. All tests are in person, no notes, and are difficult.
Not the worst professor I have had but not the greatest. He has a heavy accent which can be a little hard to understand. Additionally, the lectures are quite lengthy and he talks for long periods of time. The final exam also was extremely different than the midterm. I found the questions random and up for interpretation which I didn't like.
IF U CAN SWITCH UR GMS 200 PROF PLEASE SWITCH IT. Out of EVERY GMS 200 class he was the ONLY prof who decided to make both the midterm and final IN PERSON and CLOSED book. Every OTHER PROF had their exams ONLINE. His marking is so random, super useless and boring 9am lectures. Any other prof is BETTER for gms 200.
This professor's slides did not cover the material given on the midterms/finals. He expects you to read the textbook on your own, and out of every other class, this professor makes your midterms/finals in person and closed book -- while other profs are online open book.
Honestly, he's not as bad as people say. He wants everyone to do well and his slides are pretty simple and easy to understand this course is mostly memorization. If you read his slides and the textbook and understand everything, you should be able to get a decent grade on the final and midterm. Overall though, he's decent despite the bad reviews.
Take vik singh. if you are in btm and want coop this course and this professor will decide that, if you are stuck with him consider yourself not reaching the 2.8 gpa requirement. everyone I know that didn't have this prof is in the mid 3's with their other courses dragging them down not this useless gms course
Terrible prof. This course was supposed to be online but he asked for it to be in person so that he could make it more difficult then it actually needed to be. His midterms and exams have questions that aren't even covered in the textbook. If you have the chance to take another prof, do it.
Attend lectures and you will be fine. The exams will be based off of in-class discussions from the lectures. He's an easy marker. Overall a good prof.
exams based on in class lectures. thick accent good luck understanding
whatever U do take Singh Vik this guy is terrible heavy accent and does not care what u think DONT TAKE HIM
His lectures are difficult to understand because he's ESL. I don't have a problem if you can't speak English but if you're rude, and arrogant and do not enjoy the content you teach, why be a professor? The school needs to do better to hire qualified instructors who actually care about their students.
This malteaser pisses me off. Horrible lectures and even worse breath. School needs to stop it with these diversity hires and recruit real talent or qualified instructors!
Very Thick Accent and randomly decided to have all exams in person (CLOSED BOOK) while the other GMS200 professors have them online making it easier and convenient (OPEN BOOK AS WELL). He sounds like he hates his job, mumbles often and everyone just hates him because of how difficult he makes everyone's lives. Take others instead of him.
Made all the exams closed-book and in-person compared to other classes, difficult to understand and teaches information that is not on the textbook that is in the slides, sucks when you are studying with other people and you are the only one learning about the coffee and tea industry
Gets too much hate. Very genuine guy with solid morals and genuinely hilarious. Content is very lecture heavy-so make sure you pay attention and take notes -- sit at the front if you need. Accent is a little thick which makes it harder but not impossible.
idk why this guy has bad reviews he's such a G imo. You just gotta put in the work, it's SOO doable guys. His exams are exactly like his practice questions and u shld always attend class because he'll litr tell u stuff that'll be on the exams. his long ans questions lowk annoying sometimes but no matter how trash ur ans is he WILL give u marks
Not as bad as everyone is saying but by far the worse prof for this class makes things much more difficult for no reason adds his own topics to the course and probably has the hardest exam. A positive is that his lectures and slides are pretty solid.
Just don't take him
If you have this prof, don't fret about the bad reviews. All you've got to do is use the textbook and attend class. He will tell you what's on the exam and what is important. The group project sucks but there's not much anyone can do about that. Other sections have online exams, which is sooooo unfair, but finishing this class with an A isn't hard.
This guy seriously does not like to respond to emails. For example, if you are having trouble with your teammates, he does not care. When he does respond he markets himself to you like ?? His lectures are boring and beware that his writing for in-class discussions is horrid. Some words are hard to make out and he really loves talking about Africa.
the worst GMS prof, accent is so bad you don't understand what he is saying. ALL exams are closed book while other classes had it online. He is so miserable and reads straight off the slides. Class is so boring, gets mad when people talk among themselves. No extensions,HE CHOOSES GLO BUS GROUPS. Does not care afterclass and no reply to emails.
Best prof for GMS 200 by far. His exams and assignments were SUPER easy compared to the other professors, as I compared it with my friends in other GMS classes. I barely studied and showed up to maybe 3 lectures the whole term and ended up with a 98% lmao
If ur capable of reading lecture slides then youll get an A in Bamideles class. Thats literally all u need. Most students prolly 70% stopped showing up after midterm season and then cry on this website when they fail.
Bamidele is a fantastic professor who teaches well. Most students are upset because they aren't prepared for the rigor of university level courses, and think they can glide by just like in highschool.
This guys accent so thick, he didn't give us our final exam marks back, he was the only prof for this course who did the midterm in person, he doesn't know how to mark, this guy literally cooked my entire gpa, why was this guy hired 💔💔💔💔
There are special in class discussions that aren't posted online that you need to take notes on, he'll ask qs about it on tests. Group project for GLO-BUS simulation, you know how that can go. Accent but understandable 90% of the time. Overall ok not great not terrible, rating is accurate.
GMS200 is the easiest course for first-year students and Bamidele is a great professor to have. Literally just attend lectures and actively participate in the Glo-Bus project and you won't get less than an A- in his class.
i had a great experience with prof bamidele. hes a good teacher and a wholesome guy who tries his best. a lot of students slack off and blame him when they do poorly on exams.
I like bamidele i think the hate is overexagerrated. Hes not any worse than the other GMS200 profs, and the course is super easy either way. Hes a good teacher
This class is so easy it doesnt matter who u get tbh. I had Bamidele and he was a good prof imo. I barely studied, only showed up to lectures and passed with an A.
He gets alot of hate, but he teaches fairly well and has interesting lectures. I never felt like the course was particularly hard.
The final and midterm were made up of questions from his articles that he forced students to read. Most of these questions had nothing to do with the class GMS200.
he does closed book in person exams. he also does in-class discussions and puts them on exams even though its not part of the textbook. he posts videos and articles on d2l that are also potentially on the exams. he has an accent but its not too bad. talks a lot during lectures
Try switching professors if possible but you can still get a good grade in his class. He adds unrelated in-class discussions that aren't posted and are on the exams. There's also a group project that he gives almost no directions for. He seems arrogant and acts like he hates his job. You'll do well if you study the textbook and review his slides.
he's not that bad, lectures are very long and boring, but if u put in the effort to listen and make notes the course is incredibly easy. he holds a discussion section where he talks about random topics, so u should attend class for that bcs its in the final + midterm. held his midterm in person but made the final worth less which i preferred.
Great teacher. Easy course. Would 10000% take again
Great teacher, kind and explains concepts well. Passed with an A+ with minimal effort, only using the practice material he provided.
Worst prof at tmu take vikk singh instead avoid all costs!!!!
The class was boring, and his teaching style made it even more unbearable. Luckily, the class was easy asf so even if you stop showing up you can finish with an 80%+.
Best professor for GMS200! I earned an A+ just by following the rubrics and paying attention to lectures. Its so straightforward and easy
Adekunle's lectures are very boring and hard to pay attention to because of his monotone way of speaking. If you can't switch professors, try your best to show up to class as he tests you on things only said in class during his "in-class discussions." There were two entire pages on the final based on his in-class discussions, so beware!!
worst prof at tmu dont take or you dont get coop
Pretty easy prof and an easy course. He provides a of of practical advice often applicable to other classes. I think most peoples issue with him isn't his "monotone voice" but rather a fairly thick accent. If you pay strong attention I would say his lectures are actually quite good, but if I wasn't actively listening I was immediately disengaged
Shouldn't be teaching at any university unless its for a class on how to throw wooden spears
Everyone critiquing his accent is exaggerating, its not that bad. The only problem really is that his lectures are slow and boring. His midterm was weird, a good portion of the questions (maybe 10 out of 70) were things not mentioned in his articles/lectures/podcasts. He makes you read and listen to podcasts outside his lectures (unfortunately)
Do not take this professor! If he's the only one available, take it next semester. I would take line 2 every day and hope the homeless ppl talk to me before going to this class. He grades fairly but doesn't know how to teach. If you are not religious, pick a religion and start praying. If you need it for your major switch.
nice guy. very monotone voice. doesnt explain anything related to assignments and projects. wouldnt take again, skipped all his lectures almost.
take the other prof. ridiculous that he puts his own bs articles on the exam. U will put in so much effort for a mediocre grade. says the textbook isnt necessary but 100% of the content is from the textbook
“how to say ty in mandarin” exam question - bamidele adekunle. 4 pages filled with not gms related material and useless “in class discussions” Has his doodoo written articles all over the exam and he is super boring. His accent isn't that bad but his final exam was a joke.
he himself is a good guy but his teaching style kinda lacks. Lectures are extremely boring, the 2 assignments aren't hard at all. You really have to study for the midterm and final, especially bc ur tested on "inclass lectures" that he doesn't post. On the final there were random questions like saying thankyou in mandarin??? nothing to do with gms
Hear me out, the grade being this low is a me problem not from the professor, his classes are really fun but the group project is really annoying tbh
Angry person who makes 0 sense and shouldn't be teaching in any university. Entire course was a scam, you have to pay to participate in a group project, and he wasn't actually trying to teach anything.
Not a fan. His lectures were hard to follow along, and couldn't be understood. Wasn't happy that I emailed him about my grade (wanting advice for improvement), but then proceeded to mention to the whole class that we shouldn't be too focused on our marks. Doesn't explain the group assignment at all, and expects you to figure it out on your own.
The material and exam are not really difficult, but the grade criteria were so vague that I could not understand why my mark was deducted. And the Glo-Bus assignment was the hardest, which did not have enough instructions or a rubric. Lastly, there was a question asking "What is THANK YOU in Mandarin?" on the final exam.
Very funny, his rubrics are not very detailed, causing you to lose some marks, but other than that, he is a very easy marker. His exams and midterms are quite easy as long as you have watched his videos (he has questions that are said in videos eg, best coffee, how to say thank you in mandarin etc.) and review course content
The prof is nice but his teaching style is really difficult. His lectures are disorganized and he does not post his notes lectures go for the full 3 hours and he's pretty monotone. You have to come to class because the practice questions will be taken directly from his notes and the quiz dates WILL NOT BE ANNOUNCED you also have to read his blog
Genuinely such an amazing prof. he had a bit of an accent but his class was really fun and the way he explains is super entertaining. on a serious note, there is one group project on globus, his midterm and the exam was based on the readings he would post on d2l and there was a in class lesson that was never posted but the other slides were.
