Even though students may say she is a tough teacher, she really is not. They just say that because she gives a good amount hmwk. If you intend on doing the bare minimum (show up to class pay 1/2 attention and do some home work) you'll pass, but if you apply yourself ask questions and need any additional assistance, she is the BEST, no professor has done as much for the students as I've seen with her. I took 16 units and worked when I attended and easily passed.

She's kinda cool actually. A hippee type and somewhat mothering (good & bad). She teaches so you can be ready for Math 20. The homework seems like a lot at first, but I've changed my mind about that. She goes very fast in class but be bold and ASK questions! She's chill if there's time. She will always help you after class or on a break.

With out a doubt the best teacher I have had at SMC! She is a rare professor who actually cares about her students, and if they pass the class. She listens to your questions,doesn't make you feel stupid about asking them, and answers them clearly. Don't let her scare you off in the first couple classes. If u r late 1 min for class or break she will mark u and when u get 3 of them u have obsense.ya it is crazy.Our break was supposed to be 30 min for 2hr and 15 min class and she was giving us only 5 to 7 min (be careful with the lateness )).

The professor is very hands on and would go over any questions we had concerning homework, notes in class and tests. She had office hours once a week in which we were given tutoring by her personally. She was not intimidating but energetic and sympathetic to our needs as students.

Prof Bronie deeply cares, and trys her best to help every student succeed. 5 exams, and a practice test is given before each one, including final.The class meeting b4 every test is reserved for revision. Roll is taken at the begining of every class. Do the HW- 10% of grade. Turn phones on silent, she takes off points if she hears them. Great prof!

The absolute best math professor at SMC. I've had other so-called best math professors at SMC that were more interested in enteraining the class than focusing on your learning. If you REALLY follow her method you WILL learn algebra! She is very supportive, but you must do your part, do the work, and quit telling yourself you are no good at math.

Winter session. Bronie helps build a firm math foundation. Hwk assigned, reviewed in class, and turned in. After tests you have to correct the problems you got wrong and turn in. Material was basic, a lotta work but it prepares you for what is to come. Math takes practice! Show up, do the work, and don't smoke on the break.

It's sad how I walked into her Math 81 class to see a room full of minority students. She's doing a great job at helping these students excel and catch up with the rest. She's helpful. Don't expect to go into class and sleep, have a pen and paper ready, you'll do a lot of practice problems. Oh, and plz DON'T WEAR PERFUME or COLOGNE! She's allergic.

She is a very nice person but what bothered me was her using the chalkboard since she is allergic to the smell of the dry erase markers. She is strict about punctuality/attendance. Doesn't collect HW but if you show up late she will ask for you to show it to her. I dropped class but she puts in a lot of effort and stays after class to help you out.

i took prof bronie twice 84 &31 she is really sweet and really works with the students she gives pratice test, which i found extreamly helpful. she understands that math is probably not our strong suit, so she is always willing to answer questons without making you feel stupid i wish she taught more math courses other than 81, 84 and 31 recommended

If you're in college to keep your parents from throwing you out, this isn't the class for you. If you're looking for a professor that will challenge you, give you more than ample attention if you need it, go over problems again and again until you get it...then Professor Bronie is for you. As stated before, Bronie is great, This is now my second semester with her and she continues to grow on me. She is just soo eager to help, and with math theres a great need for that. I had her for Math 84 n now Math 31. She's a great teacher. She answers all emails, gives take-home practice tests, and will go over the homework next class. If you plan on taking this course, keep in mind this professor gives out a lot of homework that's due every other day. She is one of the best math professor ever, but she gives really hard exams. Class appears to be tough but if you ask her for any help, she's more than happy to help you out. I failed the first couple of quizzes but eventually learned the material well enough for the final through the help she offered since she noticed I was failing. The class is a bit boring and slow but what do you expect from a math class though?

Math is not easy! However this instructor will take the time IN class everyday to answer questions about all that homework that you must do. There will be a lot of homework but it is for the best (those repetition of homeworks will help you understand the material!) her clear instruction helps me become less intimidated in math. Hands Down the Best Teacher Ever! I Got a D on the 1st Two Tests But Got an A on the Last Two and a B on the Final. There's HW Everyday BUT Its Not Alot and Its Really Easy. There's Not Reason To Fail the Class Because She Gives Out Study Guides For ALL of Her Tests. She Will Definitely Help You Out If You're Not Doing So Well !

She is a great teacher however I can see why students wouldn't like her because she is sort of a tough grader and she gives you a lot of homework compared to other classes. BUT she takes the time to give you ALL the things you need to pass her class its just up to you do use them. If you don't plan on working hard don't take her class.

Professor Bronie is a great teacher. She conveys the material in a comprehensive way, while reinforcing the concepts with class problems and a doable amount of homework. Pre tests are always given and reviewed and the curriculum is laid out clearly from day one. She is strict, but a wonderful math teacher for those who really want to learn!

Professor Bronie is one of the best math instructors I have ever had. She explains everything crystal clear and is genuinely helpful. She does assign kind of a lot homework, but it is a math class, and practice makes perfect, and it will really help you out a lot, along with the practice tests. She got me motivated about math again!

Professor Bronie is the Rosetta Stone for the language of mathematics and a true gem of a person as well. If you've been afraid of taking math like me, don't be! One of the best teacher's a SMC. Learn to listen a follow directions, in order to Ace the tests, she gives you directions on how you should answer the questions. It was not easy to get an 'A' but I managed to do it. It took a lot of hard work. Practice, practice. practice, it is a math class, after all.

She is 1 of the best professors i've had in college. She gives you practice tests for the exams and final that are almost identical to the actual test (at least 2 days before).Do the homework and understand the practice test. You'll be fine.

This professor was the only teacher that made me clearly understand math! She goes over the material and makes it extremely easy to understand. Her teaching style is very straight forward and if you don't understand something she'll gladly go over it. She obviously wants you to succeed, and is always there when you need her.

This class is an easy A if you utilize the resources you are given. As long as you pay attention in class , do the HW, and do the practice tests you will be fine. The problem with a lot of students is that they slack off in 1 or more of these things I personally enjoyed having bronie, very great teacher and shows genuine interest in students

I love Mrs. Bronie, not sure if I'll be able to pass because of the amount of work learned & the practice needed to be great at it. She explains subjects carefully and sometimes even if it's a fast lesson she stays after class answering questions for students individually. She taught me it's not the grade I get that matters, is the amount I learn

Super supportive, stay after class if you have ANY questions. She is willing to do study sessions. Definitely will pass if you have the right mindset :)

Professor Bronie is very detailed when explaining her material; She gives handouts explaining step by step on how to solve specific problems in case you didn't understand a certain area in her lecture. I recommend her to anyone who's willing to make the effort in learning and paying attention. Once you master her way of teaching, you're good.

She's a great professor, come to class and you'll do great. She's always there to help you no matter what, she is very understanding and is always there for her students. She wants her students to succeed. Pay attention, do the work, study, and you'll do great. There's no "easy way out" in college just work hard and try your best.

I had a great experience taking this professor. Enrolled in 6 week course. Most students in this class struggled, mainly because they did not pay attention and were absent. A lot of material is covered. In order to pass this class with an A, you need to pay attention 100% of the time and do the homework. As long as you do that, its an easy A.

Professor Bronie is amazing and adorable! You will have to work hard for a good grade, but that is typical with any math class I've ever had. I studied and worked really hard in her class for a good grade, and it paid off! She's not strict in her ways, and just wants her students to learn and do well. Grades are based on tests but if you study you will pass. Professor Bronie makes sure you understand and is tough sometimes but is caring.

Be prepared to work hard! Professor Bronie is very helpful and she has office hours before each class if you ever don't understand the material and need help. If you miss class you will miss out on a lot!

Professor Bronie is such a great teacher! Do the homework, study and ask questions and you will pass her class. She is an excellent teacher!! I haven't taken math classes in years and I came in very insecure about my math skills. She completely restored my confidence in math and about life in general. If you want a do over in math and want to really understand and enjoy the material, Professor Bronie is the professor to take! I wish I could take her again.

Bronie is so sweet and she is always so jovial. She is great at lecturing and her tests are challenging but not impossible. I think she has less homework than most math 31 professors, but there is still a lot (not her fault though). Her final is fairly easy too. There is multiple extra credit possibilities, so do take advantage of that!

As much as taking this class sucked in the moment, I'm so glad I took her class! I'm now in math 20 and for once in my life math is making sense because she gave me a solid foundation for math. She makes you work hard, but it's so worth it. Do her extra credit if you can, participate, ask questions, go to office hours. The hard work is worth it!

I started off with an F but i immediately went for help during her office hours. she can explain complex ideas extremely simple and it was a joy to have her as my professor. Before each exams she prepares the class with a practice exam so make sure you complete that before the test. Great professor if you want to learn the beauty of algebra!!

Professor Bronie really cares about her students excelling in mathematics Shes very charismatic about the subject. Be prepared to memorize the methods that she requires for solving certain equations, lots of homework and tough grading. Overall, shes a great teacher that pushes her students.

Prof. Bronie has been teaching math at SMC for decades. She's sweet, organized and, ivy-league-trained. More importantly, she is very caring with her students. She makes herself accessible outside of class to help one-on-one. Her tests are fair. Do the work, attend class, study as expected with any math class, and you will do well in her class.

Professor Bronie is a great teacher that truly cares about her students' success. She's a good choice if you're just starting out, or have struggled with math in the past. There's a lot of homework and the tests are relatively easy. The one negative thing I can say is that she's hard of hearing, so you have to repeat yourself sometimes.

Her lectures are helpful but you need to really pay attention. It's like any other math course. If you don't pay attention don't expect to pass. The material for this course isn't very challenging, so, if you spend at least 2 hours a day studying, you won't have an issue. She does assign homework but doesn't collect it, it's just for extra help.

Professor Bronie was great! In this course you should be prepared to do all homework assignments in order to truly understand the material. Ask lots of questions to get a deeper understanding as she has better techniques than the textbook. FYI.. tests are cumulative. Overall she's very helpful!

Prof Bronie is great! She provides a lot of handouts as resources, and is overall positive with her advice and guidance. She assigns homework and practice tests in preparation for test which are very helpful. Provides keys afterwards for you to see your mistakes and truly takes the time to review. I would highly recommend if you struggle in math.

Ms. Bronie cares about the students and wants them to succeed. She always made time to make sure that everyone understood the material before moving forward. She made herself accessible and viewed all questions as important and of value. She supplied additional handouts that were very helpful. If she were teaching my next math class, I'd take it.

She's an excellent teacher who cares about us and is ready to give tips (mental health or exams). Don't skip class, she covers a lot in class but u can always look at the notes she posts, and she always ensures you really understand the material, She is more than happy to go over the materials if you have trouble understanding. Professor Bronie is incredibly kind and helpful and gives you the opportunity to succeed as long as you put in the proper effort. Her homework is a very helpful tool to study for the material that you will be tested on and if you have any questions she will go over them in class, and also will be willing to make time to meet with you after class!

Be on time and participate as you should! Sit in the front so the conversation is easier during lectures because its hard to hear students when they sit in the back.
