This class is definitely liked better by women, but I know guys who did well in it as well. Her lecture is straight forward, tests are out of book and notes and material is very intersting. There are video quizes also which are very easy too.

She is very knowledgable. She teaches things college students are intreasted in. Do the study guide questions and you will ace the tests.

Incredibly easy as long as you either read the book or go to class (it's all the same info- she will literrally read from her textbook at times). Video quizzes are way too easy. overall, easy A, but also easy to see why girls would enjoy her class more.

helpful, clear, easy... however, most of what she teaches is based on heresay or sources that are outdated. There is potential for learning it seems, but I guess that's not what she wants students to get out of the class. popular psych sterotypes 101

EASY class. Do the study guides and you should be fine. Fun -- better liked by women more than men. Interesting stuff, but common knowledge as previously mentioned. Videos were fun to watch. Good class

Collamer is enthusiastic about her topic, but she often seems disoriented. She lets her class out early by at least 30 minutes each time, which can be a plus, but it seems like sometimes she doesn't have enough material.

Well, Psych of Gender was pretty bad. She wrote the book and taught directly from it. The class was quite easy, but i hated it. That must be because i am a guy though... It didn't seem like she supported her opinions with other sources.

I like her as a person, and I appreciate her organization and eloquency. The material is important to learn if our society is ever going to improve its gender relations.

She's kind of boring, thinks she's hip, but really is just kind of old.. Class is easy and it makes it somewhat boring, never really getting into the really interesting stuff it could.. but is easy if you goto class or read the book...

She's pretty funny as long as you don't take her too seriously. You can't be offended by what she says or you'll have a hard time. Class is pretty simple but tests are only 40 questions so you have to do REALLY well to get a solid A. Good for a GUR and will help your GPA.

I loved this class, and though it was definately hard to bring myself to read or go to class, if I did either I would be ok. She is very witty and very fair, and her tests were easy if you had been following along at all. Great class.

She is a very infomative teacher; she knows alot about her subject and leads a very interesting class. It's not a class you always want to skip.

Collamer is awesome! She is very nice, and lectures well, making it very clear what you need to know. She uses a lot of video clips and we got out of class way early almost every day! Very reasonable, highly recommended!

This class teaches really interesting material. Collamer doesn't present it as well as she can, but what are you going to do. Quizzes are easy pie, and tests are pretty simple too if you do the study guides. It will definately make you think about stereotypes. Boring at times, but I say take it.

The class is pretty easy. However, Dr.Collamer is very nice and she is really passionate about her topic and tries to convey how important the information for is real life situations and relationships.

Really enjoyed this class. I can relate the material learned to the real-world. Very interesting topics discussed. Highly recommended even if you aren't a psy. major

She is very sweet. I get annoyed in the class because people do not give her the respect that she deserves as a professor. She does well teaching the subject. The tests are pretty much lecutre and the book was pretty much a waste of money. She has a lot of overheads and posts a everything on blackboard. Take the class!!!!

Decent class. Quizzes are a sure 100% if you show up. Test #1 is a sure A but the rest are a little harder. Teacher doesnt have much real life expirience in what she is teaching though and lectures are very very long and boring unless she shows a movie.

Collamer writes her own book for 119 - so the lecture/test/ and book work together..Better than in most classes. I felt like I learned a lot, and although easy, Collamer has great enthusiasm for the subject.

The fact that she wrote the book herself makes it very pertinent to the class. Read the chapters and the tests are a peice of cake. Quizzes are easy points. Has a tendency to go searching for examples during lecture, which is a little distracting. Slide show makes it easy to follow the lecture, though. Definetly recommend this class to everyone.

Easy prof, very good lectures. Not sure where people get the **** from (and yes I'm a guy)? Puts the facts out there on the table, and is very open to student input. She is a very nice person who i found very accessable for outside help when needed, but barely needed any. Rarely needed to study if you just go to lecture.

i really loved this class. i think every guy should take this class. it was really easy grading. video quizzes are a joke. but if you miss one, it sucks...since they're good points.

Very interesting subject. Class was disorganized, but that was the fault of the books publishers and the tech people in charge of Learning Communities. Good class to bring up GPA. Very easy.

Easy Class. The average grade in the class is a B+. Study the night before, before class, whatever. The book is horrible though, looks like some kid copyied and pasted a bunch of stuff and printed it out.

At first I thought this teacher was totally spacy and out there. But I learned a lot from her.. and she helped me tremendously and went out of her way to do things for me like grade stuff early when I needed it.

Took this course online, couldn't get into Ericksen's on-campus class. To my pleasant surprise, the class was much more thought-provoking than I thought an online course could be. The assignments were fun and it was not very time-consuming. Getting a good grade is not hard.

Took her class online. Very straight forward. Easy to get a good grade and very interesting. Sometimes she is a little absent-minded, but nothing bad. 99% of the class is from the book, but the book is well written and interesting. Highly recommend.

Took this class online, its incredibly easy. Didn't need to read the book. Tests are all online, open book, open note. Great opportunity to boost your GPA while filling those pesky GURs. As an added bonus the material is incredibly interesting! Take this class if you have the opportunity to!

Took this class online, it was extremely easy and even more interesting. Barbara offers help by email, but you probably won't need it. You could skip reading the chapters, and just look through them for the answers to the tests but I wouldn't suggest it because the material is actually really interesting, coming from someone who never thinks so.

Everything was very interesting. The book, movies, and discussions were all intriguing. She was always available by email and time tables for assignments were always the same

I highly recommend online classes to students disenchanted with lectures and college in general! Dr. Collamer's assignments help you learn without being pointless and the textbook is entertaining. Your grade consists of discussions, video quizzes and exams, which rotate weekly. Very easy GUR, worth the time.

Easy class! Consisted of 3 discussion board posts, 3 video quizzes, and 3 open-book, no time limit exams. Questions come straight from the textbook so I recommend close reading when taking exams. Overall, interesting course. The video quizzes were my favorite part of the class since they linked biology with psychology and sociology!
