She is the best by far in the school, especially if you are an English major. She will make you a better writer, unless you do not show up. I wish all the teachers would teach like she does, but most do not possess the ability that she has. She is a must take, you will not regret it.

Good teacher... this class in particular was really interesting, she's smart and picks the most intriguing works in literature. (Poe, etc...)Even if you dislike english, this class is pretty helpful, and easy. I recommend it.

Prof. D is the greatest!I couldn't wait for Saturday to come because I really enjoyed theclass.She knows her literature and a no nonsense professor.We focused on the origin of the detective.I read books by Raymond Chandler and Dashiell Hammett. We watched classic films on the subject.I purchased all of them and all of Chandler's books as well.

Loved her-her class was great. The choice of hard-boiled detective fiction was brilliant - approachable on so many levels. She's not exactly easy-if you don't do the work she'll nail you, but she's fair and made me think. If you have an opinion be prepared to back it up. I'm much more confident in my writing (and thinking) skills thanks to her.

I have never wanted to work so hard for a Professor or any teacher in my life! She knew each of us in the class and our strong points, determined our weaker areas and focused on them which brought more out of us. She's a real firecracker. This was by far the most valuable experience of my academic career. This professor asked not only that we examine the literature/ films but takes on a journey in search of “what lies “within”. We identify our core, and where we stand in respect to the world around us. If you want to be blind to what is going on in the world, don’t take this class.

Thank God for this woman. She makes me WANT to learn about the world, its politics and its history. Her comments were never watered down. She always responded to my comments and questions with sincerity, no matter how foolish they were. If you want a teacher who pulls you in from the beginning of class, take one of her courses. This was the best class of my Spring semester. Prof. Day was very respectful, but encouraged us all to attain what she thought was appropriate during the semester. The course material was interesting, but not half as much as the conversations we had on politics and the like!

Professor Day is the best. She provided the classroom with many resources and all her classes were mentally stimulating. Professor Day is a dedicated teacher. It was an absolute delight having her as an English teacher. I will never look at a sentence the same way. She taught me how to see every part in the structure of a sentence. I learned so much from this literature class, how to analyze and appreciate the work of many of these authors. Professor Day is a very good professor. i would recommend taking her. She takes her time to explain things. Her theme is the patriarchal society and her class is so eassy. Her two books are cheap you will not spend more than 25 dollars. She gives extra credits for our grade I had an A. i took her for ENG 201 and the theme was Victorian age.... it was super boring (to me) but as far as academics, all the essays are pretty basic 6th grade work usually long paragraphs (1 page) and an essay which was 3 pages. She focuses a lot on grammar.

Professor Day was absolutely the best professor for my Fall Semester. Her Class was very easy, and it was not hard. The class theme was war. She makes you write a 6 page research paper. She gives you a lot of writing assignments but the assignments are really your paper at the end of the day. She was the best! You will spend only 15 for her class!

A great professor who really sets you up for success. The grammar exercises helped me write better and the assignments helped me understand how to set up essays properly. Lots of work, and do the homework, but you will be ready for your final! I will look for prof. Day for future classes.

Professor Day doesn't expect much so it is easy to pass her class. However, she gives out a lot of vocab quizzes and grammar quizzes. Just hand in your homework and assignments on time and do well on your research paper then you'll be fine.

Professor Barbara Day is an amazing old lady. She is cares about her students and gives a lot of feedback after finishing an essay. In this class i wrote a lot of essays and did a lot of grammars. I learned a lot and because of this lady i m better in my English writing than before. We also did a lot of readings and summary analysis papers.

She picks great readings for class, so much more fun and attention grabbing than the typical stuff. You have to work hard in her class, but you will enjoy some of it!

I didn't attend much towards the end because I had her early. Lateness was okay but you'd miss the lecture which is kind of important. She doesn't repeat herself much so get the notes from students. Let me hand in work late and I had a good relationship with her. You'll def improve in grammar. She's so kind and caring too. Textbook is cheap!

She's an amazing professor. She explains in class how to do her homework SPECIFICALLY, if you follow her structure you will do very well. There is a lot of writing in this class so expect essays for homework, however, they're not too difficult. Good readings and she gives chances to improve your grade. You have to work towards the grade you want.
