5 short exams, 5 online HW, 1 short article assignment. Barbara explains everything you need to know on the exams, no surprises. Minimal effort can get an A in this class. However, I recommend coming to every lecture regardless. She is really smart, hilarious, and teaches important financial life skills. So grateful she now lectures at UIC!

Ive taken 3 Finance classes now with Barbara and can confidently say she is one of the best finance teachers at UIC. She has a lot of real world finance experience and passes that knowledge on to her students! A lot of projects but if you show up to class you are sure to get an A and have many great laughs along the way. Highly recommend!!

She is the best professor to take at UIC. If anyone wrote bad reviews then they probably did not follow directions. Her class consists of excel and her exams are fairly easy. She is a fair grader and her criteria is very clear as well as she uploads samples to look from. Just got to class because you do excel in class and she is also super funny.

Barbara is the best Professor and she is a great person. I really enjoyed the Advanced Fin. Planning class and would miss it. I learned a lot of things that can be applied to the real life. Barbara Fuzesi is one of the best professor's for Finance at the University of Illinois. In one of her Finance class I did Valuation project which was one of the best experience. Her class provides real life examples which keeps you intrigued and not monotonous. She is very helpful, accessible and keeps the class lively.

If you are into any fiance topic, take her class and you will have the most out of the class. She delivers material in a way that you wouldn't "give them back" to your professor after finishing the course. Graduating after this semester, but if I can, I will take her class again. You will NOT waste your money by taking her class, in fact, you earn.

Barb is AMAZING. I had her for FIN494 (which is the same as FIN250). She really cares for her students and their well-being, financially. She teaches lots of ins and outs about personal finances including IRA, 401K, loans, taxes, & much more. If you have the chance to take her for this class, both are worth it! You'll learn A LOT from her & easy A!

Barbara was one of my favorite teachers at UIC. As long as you attend class and pay attention you'll learn actual useful information for the real world and pass the class with ease. Everyone should be able to take 494 since these are skills that every American should have.

I have taken her for finance 310, 320, and 494 (which is now called fin250). She is amazing! Literally just show up to class and get an A. She walks you through step by step through every project & homework assignment. She leaves you with minimal work to do on your own, yet you are still learning because she gives amazing lectures. BEST PROFESSOR!

Barbara is without a doubt the best professor I had at UIC. I had two classes with her during the same semester and both gave me the best insight into finance. Her personal finance (fin494) is a great course that should be required because of how much real world stuff you learn, and her fin320 course is heavily focused on the group project!

If you ever have a chance to take Barbara you should! The project we did in class has been extremely helpful during my internship when it came to financial modeling this summer. She wants to prepare you for a job, and her lectures are funny but super informative. One of the best finance professors at UIC!

Smart, funny and well respected. The projects and quizzes are straight-forward and pretty much all that is graded so make them count. She is very down-to-earth but also can get impatient if you do not follow her instructions or ask a question that has been answered or demonstrated already.

One of the best prof at UIC. Took 310 over the summer (4weeks). It had a 3 projects(which she shows step by step how to follow), 3 quiz and a small writing, but overall was an easy A. If you get this class with her again next summer deficiently recommend.

I loved her class so much. Her class is a representation of how she is as a person, simply amazing. She cares about you, she cares about the material and she cares that you learn. She's the kind of professor people should aspire to be.

This is an essential class and will have you on top of your finances. Prof. Fuzesi is pretty cool, and I wish I learned this stuff in high school. There is a lot of homework, but the assignments are simple. Some are a little boring but make sure you are doing everything correctly. Straight-forward quizzes and exam. Do your work and you'll be good.

Amazing professor. Her advanced financial planning course is one of the most useful courses at UIC. The class only met up once every 3-4 weeks to present and the normal lectures were online. There are also quizzes that are closed notes but she provides the answers beforehand so you just need to memorize/learn the notes.

Overall, this semester with Professor Fuzesi has been very informative. The class is lecture focused, but as long as you pay attention you'll be fine. She also taught us a lot of important things regarding personal finance like IRAs and high yield savings account. Good class, would take again.

The class was relatively easy if you follow along with the lectures and ask questions. There are a lot of extra credit opportunities at the end of the semester so if you are between two letter grades its a easy way to bump up your grade. Overall it was a good class and I would take it again :)

It's a really easy class. You just have to pay attention during the lectures, but she tells you what she wants to see in the group projects. A lot of it is group-based, so pick your groups well.

Is good professor I've never had a better professor.

This professor makes sure that you are paying attention in class but she is kind of easy. Sometimes the assignments aren't clear on what is required or how it should be structured, but then she yells at you if you are confused or have a question. Otherwise the course materials are useful for life and she grades easy.

The class is usually conducted in person. She makes sure you are present during lectures, and being present actually helps with assignments. There are quizzes, which are rather easy, and weekly homework. Most of the stuff is explained in-class how to complete. I definitely recommend this class with Barbara, and a lot of stuff is really useful.

I have taken Finance 414 this semester and Finance 250 last semester. I really enjoyed both classes. The professor has a clear grading format, and tells you exactly what she expects you/your group to accomplish.
