I just finished taking her statistics class online. She is very well organized and presents the subject matter clearly. Also she is very helpful and really wants everyone to succeed. She even gave us her home number to call if we needed extra help. The class was not difficult, but make sure to keep up with all the assignments.

She's really concise when she explains mathematical concepts, but she does move really fast. Her tests aren't that difficult material-wise, but she grades pretty harshly so watch out for that. She also doesn't make herself that available after class.

I LOVE HER!!!!! one of the best math teachers in Highline. Her lectures are excellent, she explained it very well you'll easily understand it. She's really nice and very lenient. Test and Quizzes are huge part of your grade. Homeworks are easy. Attendance is not mandatory but still lectures are useful. I would HIGHLY recommend her!! -MATH 210

Was first a sole online class, people started failing so she gave lectures. Her teaching is very helpful and concise. Grades homework with an iron fist, which is good and bad. Overall Shes a great teacher! I suck at math, but she made concepts understandable. She is very helpful if you have questions, I suggest taking her class if youre bad at math

people are trippin or something. yea she has an accent but its not so bad you can't understand. it's not an easy class but not hard either. and i always asked for help outside of class and she helped me all the time. she's nice too- we got her to move tests and hwks all the time.

Great teacher; she explains everything very clearly and it always willing to help you understand the subject better. I took statistics from her and she made it not too difficult. I would definitely take another class from her if I had the chance.

Awesome teacher. Goes out of her way to explain concepts to us. If we don't understand it one way, she has another explanation to help us "get it". Her tests are hard and attendance is mandatory, plus you have to do homework ... but it is worth it. She really cares about her students, which makes her class so much easier. Need 97% for a 4.0.

Great Instructor. Very hard class. I would not have made it if not for her ability to take concepts that should be left for supernerds and supercomputers, and turn them into concepts that "average joe" can understand. So far my favorite instructor at highline.

Barbara is the best! I went to her office hours everyday and helped me for an hour straight on homework. She clearly teaches but her tests are lengthy and is hard to complete within 50 minutes. Also, the questions she uses on the tests are far more advanced than the ones on the homework. Read each problem carefully.

She is an AWESOME teacher! Very clear, organized and helpful. Always asnwers her emails and sets you up to succeed in the class! The tests are easy if you have done the homework. I like the progress reports after every test. I HIGHLY reccomend her if you are going to take a Math course! Very Happy I did take her class. It was online by the way.

As long as you listen in class and do the homework, you'll most likely get an A.

Barbara was an amazing teacher. She is passionate about what she teaches and it shows by how well she teaches the material. I am NOT a math student whatsoever, but she was able to teach me. Take her class, you will succeed if you try your best and listen to her advice.

Barbara made more sense than my high school math teachers. I earned better marks than I ever did in highschool, however, you must have time to dedicate to this class, it will fry your brains if you haven't been studying math lately.

She is a GREAT teacher, she's REALLY helpful, don't need a book, she gives you notes, LOTS of practice problems. she's the type of teacher she if you miss class she tells you to come to her office and she'll teach you EVERYTHING. people who do bad in this class are just people who SUCK at math. don't skip class though she teaches

i really like her, she is very nice and helpful teacher. she clear the concepts of the students and tell the reasons behind the formulas and equations.

This professor is very fair and makes time for her students. She makes sure that her students get a good learning enviroment without a lot of distractions. Very punctual and also is veru consistent with her classroom expectations.

Awesome teacher!!! If I could I would take more classes with her. She will expect you to understand the material so just attend class daily and DO YOUR HOMEWORK and you will do good on her tests. Alot students forget math needs to be repeated over and over again in order to really stick.

I loved this professor! Business Calc. is a difficult course with a heavy workload, but Mrs. Hunter explained all 25 sections that went over clearly, gave us study guides, and always made time for questions. It isn't that challenging to pass if you actually come to class, do the homework, and study (big shocker, huh?). I definitely recommend her!

Took Calculus 2 with her a couple years ago. Great professor. Easy to get a good grade and teaches very well. Easy exams. Gives out practice exams before tests which are very helpful and identical to actual tests. Plus she lets you use practice exam, notes, and calculators on tests. And 1 page of notes and calculator for final. Take her if you can.

Barbara was great professor, she understands the material very well, and she answers questions quickly and clearly. She also went out of her way to teach us all the calculator command shortcuts, and she allowed us to solve equations using just the the commands for shown work. Good teacher, would take another class from her, even though I hate math!

It was an online class. She regularly has a online video meeting (?) for students to ask random questions about anything. She is helpful if you are eager to get an A or study hard. Even if you don't really ask questions, she gives or posts many resources for you to understand key concepts. She is nice!

My favorite class I've taken at Highline! I had always done poorly in math since high school but Barbara Hunter really helped her students understand why and how the math was used. She saw potential in everyone and went out of her way to talk with struggling students and help them. Math has became my new favorite subject.

So much HW! Assignments were long and a lot of times unrelated to exams. She does offer a practice exam for every exam which is so much more easier than the HW assignments and VERY similar to the actual exam. Overall, she cares for your success, always available to help! If you take her online, go to the study sessions or online study sessions!

I took an online class, and Hunter went the distance by providing in-class and online lectures. She was quick to reply to questions and always gave feedback. If you turn in your assignments early, she will let you know your mistakes and will accept resubmissions. I read only a few pages of the book, just her chapter summaries.

I loved taking her class! I took it online so I was nervous that it was going to be hard communicating with her but she held in person study sessions twice and week as well as video chat lectures. The part that amazed me the most is that she was always willing to stay longer to help you out and go over example problems.

Teacher was accessible for in person study help and study help through zoom. It was an online class but every 2-3 weeks we had to come in person and take an exam which was difficult because it was an online class. It is quite a bit of work. The teacher makes you get connectmath which costed me $105. She really cares about teaching and her students.

This class was my hardest this quarter and the workload was so much. We have 3-5 hw assignments every week and also a worksheet due at the end of the week. Also a quiz every week.. Man, it was a lot and tbh this class is not easy. But if you join her study sessions, she's very good at explaining things and making you understand. She's a hard grader

It was an online class, so I didn't get a chance to directly communicated with her. However, she replied to Canvas messages fast with any questions, and gave feedbacks on assignment. Test are not easy but she always had extra credit questions. Lots of work needed in general.

Loved Professor Hunter. She provides adequate lecture handouts and videos on how to learn the material which were helpful. Lots of weekly homework and quiz assignments, some extra credit opportunities and exams were difficult if you didn't study. Emailed often and she got right back to me on any questions I had on assignments or exams! She's great!

Very difficult class. A lot of work. But the teacher is very supportive and good at teaching the material. Even if you forgot all your algebra skills she is able to help you. Don't read the textbook, but make sure to always go to her office hours for help. Don't take this class with other hard in person classes. Prof Barbara is better than Kwon

Barbara is classwork heavy, but she offers zoom sessions daily to ensure students are understanding the work. She always answers questions and goes over HW. Zoom sessions are not mandatory but if you attend them you will pass her class. She is very passionate and I can't believe I was able to learn Business Calc so easy. Thank you Professor Hunter.

Since the course was online, I would only recommend it for students who are motivated to keep up with the work on their own. I recommend working ahead of the class schedule. She has Zoom office hours, both during the day and in the evening. She will help you with any homework problems you had difficulty with, and is a very nice person.

I would like to say that Barbara is a great teacher. Although her grades are tough and a lot of homework, if you attend her office hours on zoom or in person every week, you will pass with an easy A because she is great at explaining things and really respectful. She gave you a lot of time on exams like 2-3 hours and extra opportunities

If you are having a hard time and communicate, she is very understanding. She seems like a great teacher. The work on the other hand is not exactly hard, but it is NONSTOP and the class is extremely fast-paced (which she prefaces at the beginning of the quarter.) I think if you can handle a large workload go for it, but it wasn't for me.
