I'm terrible at Math, but I got an A in this course. She explained things so well that it wasn't hard to understand at all! She's a great professor!

If you can get this teacher for your math classes, DO IT. She is a great match teacher and very helpfull. Knows how to put the information in way that students seem to understand.

I have a problem with math, but somehow got an A in this course. This teacher is an excellent resource for people who have trouble in math. She is very patient and explains things VERY well. I would recommend her to anyone!

She spends alot of time on each chapter making sure everyone understands. She goes slow and sometimes it may be boring, but when you get confused she always helps you understand. Her tests are easy. She tries hard not to put confusing problems on them.

SHES AWESOME

If you're not very apt at math, she's perfect for you. She'll break it down as much as physically possible for you. She'll listen to your questions. And you'll go over the homework 50 times. If you're good at math, get someone else. you'll want to stab your eyeballs out like I do.

She was an excellent teacher. She was very concerned about her students success and was always ready to listen to your questions and help you to understand! I would want her for teacher in every math class.

She is a very good teacher. Always concerned about if the student understand. Goes over previous homework problems each day. Gives good examples that are easy to read on the board.

very good teacher. she is monoton, but she explains things perfectly and teaches everything needed for exams. she is very organized in her syllabus and lectures.

By far the best math teacher I've ever had. She makes calculus a breeze and is very willing to help her students.

Problems on tests and quizes are easy. She is very good at explaining. Even told me a good hint on how to finish a test problem I was stuck on (during a test)!! Perfectly redundant!

She is a good teacher even though I made a D in her class. I found out the week after class was over that I had a medical problem that can cause my memory to not work as it should. I did pass the nest semester with anouther teacher. I would take her again if I could. She's alot easyer to look at that most teachers also.

Highly recommend her. She is very helpful in class and outside of class too if you need it. She clearly explains everything and made a class I was dreading pretty bearable.

She is one of the best teachers I've had in college...she's VERY nice, and she has an excellent way of explaining. Plus, she has AMAZING handwriting on the chalkboards...I don't know how she does it!

She is a good teacher, although her teaching style makes me want to poke my eyes out with a knife. She explains things slowly, and it is frustrating to sit an hour and fifteen minutes listening to her, but overall, she's not bad.

She is a great teacher. She doesn't move too quickly, so it makes it easier to understand the material. She gives you review sheets before tests that are very helpful. The review sheets basically tell you exactly what you need to know for the test. I really liked her as a teacher.

This teacher is the best if you find Math a challenge. I am very bad at Math but was able to make an A because she was such a good teacher and able to explain things very clearly.

She was very clear when explaining things and knew the material. The quizzes are just like the one's in the green booklet except the numbers are different.

She is a good professor. I had her for Calc I and she explains the material very well. If you pay attention and do homework it's hard to not pass.

I had her for Calc and Trig and I loved her! She's extremely clear and very good at explaining topics. She knows the material! Go to her in office hours and ask her questions, she's always willing to help. I missed a class b/c of an emergency and she let me make up my exam. Her tests are over lecture material so study and you'll do fine

Extremely good teacher. Always spoke very clearly and she was very understandable. Always explains an answer to a question thoroughly. If you have to take any math class, take her, she is amazing at math.

She knew her****. And when I say that, I mean she made a total of two errors during all the classes for the term. Absolutely brilliant professor. Surprisingly she's not a bad teacher either. She expects you to study though, if you're willing to commit time to study you'll be fine.

One of the best. She expects her students to work hard, but she delivers great lectures. Most importantly, she truly cares about her students and wants them to learn the material.

A very good teacher. She is very clear on her lectures and works out all of the steps so that the students understand what is going on in the problem.

If you want someone to hold your hand while re-learning basic Algebra, then this is your woman. Though everything is thouroughly explained, I feel as though she sometimes talks down to the students and acts as though we're in the first grade.

She explains things very slowly which ensures everyone can stay on the same level. This style of teaching puts me to sleep. She explains well, but there is no humor. Overall she is a good professor.

This professer was awesome. She did move really slow. But her class was really easy. She makes a point to allows ask for questions about the previous section at the beginning of each class period. This ensures no one get left behind.

Excellent teacher. One of the best ever. Very detailed and clear. Those who says that she explains things too slow its becuz everyone coming into the class isnt on the same level. Not everyone knows basic Algebra & if you did then you should have been able to test out of this class. Overall Good Professor. HIghly recommended

She does a good job explaining things most of the time. Her tests and quizs are fairly difficult though.

Great Profesor classes are not easy but instruction is great. Also really good notes.

The class is very simple and she explains the material very well. You have to study for the tests and quizzes but nothing to bad.

SHE IS GREAT! i took college algebra from her as well and she always answers question and tries to make sure everyone understands! I struggled in this class, but came out with a B. DEF. TAKE HER!

She made class easy. I am not a confident math student, I was scared I would fall behind. Lectures are slow-paced and she makes sure that EVERY student understands before she moves on. Quiz every week, homework recommended but not required, tests, and comprehensive final. TAKE HER if you aren't confident, but her speed could bore advanced students

Its not an easy class, but considering that it is math it is easy when compared to other professors. It was my second time taking this class and she explained concepts far better, making me mad that i wasted my time with the previous professor. Be sure to do the RRS exam early, and do the practice final in the booklet, because it is what youll se

Mrs. K is one of the most intelligent teachers I've had. If you don't absolutely had math, then your class will be pretty easy to follow.

I hate hate hate math. I took this class cause I got a D in Calculus, and now I am regretting I did not take it with her as my prof. I will end up with an A as my final letter grade. I can just understand her better than those crazy asian teachers in the math department. Nice woman and I highly recommend. Do the homework!

Great teacher. Boring, but she is very clear and teaches it where it is easy to learn, easy to read, and easy to understand! I really liked her. She is a sweet lady, just not much of a personality unless you talk to her one on one. Good teacher and you will actually learn from her with any of your math classes!

I had her for Calc 3, and she was very fair. Somewhat easy grader, and tried to give us the best grade possible by changing how much everything was weighed. Overall, understable and fair.

I LOVE THIS TEACHER!!! She made pre-calc easy. I would tell other students who have to take pre-calc to get into her classes!!!! :D

Excellent teacher! She explains everything very clearly. If you do your homework and study you will do well. One of the best teachers I have ever had.

Explains things very thoroughly, sometimes more than is necessary but that's not a bad thing. Exams aren't too hard, not too harsh of a grader.

I ignored her attendance policy and still got a B. She's pretty easy

Write notes in class. Homework is all done online. Can take a very long time. Quizzes every few weeks in class. 3 tests. Lets you drop your lowest quiz score. Grades on attendance. Pretty good teacher.

She was a very good teacher! I would recommend her to everyone! She was very easy to follow and also very helpful with any questions I had! If you have the option to take her, DO IT! The homework is online, and easy to follow. The tests aren't killers, and the quizzes are fairly easy! Plus you get to drop your lowest grade!

Ms. Kniepkamp was of the best teachers I've had at SIUE, and certainly the most organized. We covered a lot of material in not a lot of time. I'd take another class with her.

She is a great teacher. If you have any option at all take her over anybody else!

Literally The Best

She is a great professor! I wish she would teach all of my classes. Her lectures are very easy to follow and she is more than willing to go through any and every homework problem that students have. Her tests are fair but you must memorize the unit circle for all of them or you'll miss a lot of easy points! She is very organized and caring!

I learned a lot during her class and have now registered for another math course with her. She is very fair and generally does very precise and concise lectures, and her assignments are VERY fast paced. If you don't like doing 2 or more online homework assignments a week, then you might be in trouble. The homework helps practice for the tests.

I'm not the best at pre calc but I ended up with a B. She is one of the better math teachers on campus I hear. She explains the material well and responds to all student questions.

Ms. K was very helpful and willing to answer any questions you may have. You can tell that she knows her stuff. I enjoyed the fact that even though you don't need to know the explanation of why-she will provide it to you. The 3rd test and final, there are many questions about logs so be sure to study those and know them inside and out.

Shes a great teacher and knows what she is talking about, explains things well. She does keep attendance and will fail you if you skip class. Her tests are not hard, she does not throw any curve balls like other name professors. Her tests and the final count for a large percent of your grade.

You'd expect to do homeworks and show up to class in order to get a good grade. Her teaching is very fast-paced but very clear and structural. After all, it's a college level class, so she shouldn't have to take your hand and walk you thru the very fundamental basics of Algebra. Otherwise, you shouldn't be in this class. I'd take her class again.

I'll just say that this was by far the best professor I've had thus far at SIUE (but I am only a sophomore now, so interpret that as you must). Her lectures are very well organized and structured. I was always late to class due to her daily review, ignored her attendance policy, only studied for the final exam and received an A. -- mathACT: 24

Ms. K is my favorite professor! Her lectures are well structured, easy to follow, and concise. She answers homework questions before each class and is very helpful if you visit her office hours. She is very fair and straightforward with what she expects and how she grades. I really like her teaching style and her multiple approaches to a problem.

Overall Mrs. K was an enjoyable instructor to have. She explained concepts that were completely new to me in a way I could easily grasp. I have never been that good with math but my major dictates I must. Taking precalculus with her has laid down a solid foundation for my classes to come.

Decent math teacher. Good at explaining.

There are 8 quizzes but only the 5 highest count for your grade. You do have homework for every section. Hardest chapter is chapter 8. The rest are way easier. She does take attendance so you have to show up. Can only miss two days anything more will affect your grade. She is a nice teacher and really easy to understand. Extra credit is offered.

Pretty cut and dry Algebra class. Signed up to take her again in pre-calc. She can be a tough grader but studying for her tests means you won't worry about her grading.

If you want to understand, you take Kniepkamp. If you want to pass, you also take Kniepkamp. Note: Has an undergrad in Electrical Engineering, which means she's super interesting.

TAKE. Wonderful teacher. Explains the material in depth. Let us have notes for final. Tests are challenging, but easy if you know the material. Gave a few opportunities for extra credit. Definitely one of the best teachers I've had when it comes to actually explaining the material. If you're looking to learn AND do well, Mrs. K is a great choice.

This is my third semester with Ms. K; I highly recommend! Her teaching style and notes are very clear and easy to follow. She is very receptive to questions and is always available outside of class. She would work problems on the board with us in the tutor lab before exams. She goes to great lengths to see her students succeed. My favorite prof!

I had a bad semester (from things outside of school) and let her know that, she was really sweet and understanding about it! She tries to help you and make time for you outside of class. Even though I didn't do well in the end, I definitely wouldn't blame her because she puts all of the stuff we need to know out there.

Ms. K is probably the best teacher I have ever had. She tells you what is going to be on the test and gives you plenty of tools to succeed. I only got a C because I was dealing with depression while I was taking her class. Be sure to go to her office for help--she is always in there. I wish I could take her for Calc III.

Mrs. K should be everyone first choice for math teacher. She is the best in the department. Very easy to understand, explains the material very well. Her tests can be on tough side but only if you do not study. Attendance is required and she covers a lot of material in each class. I am not in her class and I still go to her for help.

Great lectures, cares about how youre doing, & presents material in an easier way to understand. It's math so you'll have plenty of work but do your stuff & you'll get an A. Easier than Calc I. If you go to her office she won't leave until you understand your question. In class she strives to answer any questions respectfully. Take her if you can

Ms. K is phenomenal. She is very careful in explaining material clearly, and is always more than willing to explain things multiple times. She let's the students know what they need to do to get an A, and her tests are usually fair. If Ms. K is an option, I would absolutely take her class.

This is my second time having Ms. K and I am still satisfied! She is an awesome teacher; she makes some of my other instructors look like chumps. Her test problems are pretty much the in-class examples, but be sure to check your work because you'll lose a lot of points for simple errors like adding/subtracting. That's why I got a B instead of an A.

Mrs. K passed away during the Fall semester, 2019. She was the best math professor at SIUe. She was incredibly smart, tests were only over things that had been lectured on and homework wasn't bad. She could answer any question on the spot without the need to look it up in her notes/book. hard material became 2+2 after she explained it.
