Ms. Lash is an amazing professor. She knows a great deal about Art History and she makes it interesting for people who might find the subject boring and are only taking as a requirement.Class is not to hard and very extensive+helpful reviews for exams.

agree with everything everyone else is saying. she loves art & it shows. shows many slides of art in class & expects you to know about 20 slides for the test but tells you what to study. We had a mask art project, paper, & presentation. if you do the projects & presentation you get an A on them.

This was the 4th class I have taken from her. Each class was well worth it. Its sad that there are no more classes that I can take from her. She is wonderful, funny, and a whole lot of FUN!!! I love Mrs. Lash!

Prof. Lash is *awesome*! I had to take art history for my fine arts degree, and thought it would be duller than dull, but she really makes it fun. she goes off on tangents all the time with awesome stories, and knows when people have had enough and it's time to end class. take her classes!

I LOVE this teacher!!! She could not have made it any easier to get an A! She loves her subject and is lively, funny, and very friendly. You will have to do an art museum visit and presentation, along with a paper. She is the BEST art teacher EVER.

Amazing teacher!! She was one of the easiest teachers I've ever had. She knows her art history very well. Tests were extremly easy. Just come to class and take the tests and you'll be fine. Makes the class so insanely easy that it's disrespectful to the subject itself. Lets you turn in assignments weeks after they're due, people walk all over her. I think she means well-she seems well-informed. She just makes it so easy that you have nothing to keep things challenging, nothing to hold your interest. This is why art gets a bad rep.

im not an art major and i took her for art 101, 102, and 106. she is an amazing teacher who is extremely cool. i highly doubt there is a nicer teacher then this at nova. tests are half take home and i think we had one hw assignment all semester. take her if you need an elective you wont regret it.

She really is great and funny. She jokingly says she can't connect with young students anymore but I don't see that at all. The only way to fail is not go to class because she always takes attendance.

I had no knowledge about any art before class. Was recomended her by another professor. GREAT TEACHER! I laughed every class, almost to tears in a few. I can honestly say she's one of the best professor's I've had in my entire education. She loves her subject, and makes you love it as well. As long as you pay attention in class, she tells you exactly what's on the tests, so it's not hard to get an A. I actually enjoyed getting up at six am to go to her class, which is sayinga lot. I took the hybrid course so the lectures were long and kind of slow but she is one of the best instructors ive had. she is hilarious and her goal is to make everyone enjoy art so she doesnt assign a lot of work. the few assignments are fairly broad with few restrictions so its very easy. her grading is easy too.

AMAZING TEACHER! i signed up for art history 102 even before the semester ended. tests are all take home. museum paper is the EASIEST A. class was about two hours (it was during summer), but she made is so fun with jokes that were actually funny. love her.

This is my second semester with Dr. Lash. I adore this class! If I had more interest in art preservation/art history, I would definitely minor in it thanks to her. She's so inspiring and very funny. The exams are fair and the museum paper is a long process, but it's worth it. No easy A, but not hard

She was absolutely wonderful, really wants to help students in anyway possible and will extend the deadline if you have a good excuse. I absolutely loved her... the tests were a bit difficult and the study guides were just the test questions which you could highlight the answers to beforehand but they were still confusing.

i took some history course in high school. but after taking this course i figured how much i was missing. she explained to us so well in chronological order that i couldnt get confused. i recommend this class to everyone and especially to those who are going to take western civ. because art 101 is similar to that.

I took this class for a humanities course. I am a criminologymajor & know next to nothing about art or its history. I got an A in this class. She's funny and super nice. No stress in this class at all. 3 tests. Half of each is take home & the final is online at home. Easy Library assign. 1 museum paper & create a mask that you can do in 10 min.

This class was so easy and so much fun. I took this over the summer. All you have to do is take online quizzes at home, which are easy (they are not timed), do 3 easy exams (one online at home, other 2 are half at home and half in class), and museum assignment. For in-class exams, you just have to look at pics! I learned about art history & got A+!

I took Lash's hybrid class over the summer and it was great. Although the lectures are boring as you just sit in a dark room while she goes through powerpoints, but she taught everything well, has easy 50 quesion exams, easy homework, and offered a lot of extra credit. I would deffinitly recomend her shes very sweet :)

Lash is the most charismatic art teacher I have ever met. She is always willing to talk to students after class and by appointment, she also is well versed in art history. Show up, study works of art, 3 exams and 1 scavenger hunt. I would definitely take another art course with her. This class is easy if you are into art.

This review is 13 years too late. All I want to say is that she is the only professor that I remember from my days at NOVA. She is passionate, helpful, accommodating, and overall a wonderful teacher and human being. She really made a positive impact on me. Bottom line: TAKE HER, you will never regret it.

she is really nice. Her homeworks are easy. You can do anything in class as long as you dont make noise. She makes u focus on the lectures only in the final day when she will teaches you the most important things in art just because she wants u to be better than other typical people. She is such a sweet heart, she helps you when you're stuck. Plus her exams are half take home half in class, except for the final which is online. There are some additional projects like masks, musuem paper. But she allows you to do extra credit. Take her and you'll succeed. Final note do NOT take her kindness the wrong or she will become strict.

Both classes are very easy. She is very helpful. the exams are very easy. 50% have to completed in home and 50% have finish the exam in the class. I would say take her class only 8 weeks.

If you cant get an A in her class then drop the college and do something else. Three exams, first two exam half part you do at home with open book and second half in class. Third exam completely online so you can do with open book. All the quizzes are online so you can't miss 100%, Just take her.

I was so excited to take her a second time in ART 102! Her lectures are funny and she thoroughly covers exams material. She is an extremely fair grader. The hardest thing was a museum project which involved a trip to DC, but it was fun! She is fabulous and cares about her subject and students!

Her lectures are so interesting. She has traveled to so many places that her stories while showing art work will keep you awake. Homework is super easy. The textbook is so expensive though. The exams are half in class half taken at home. The final is taken at home. And the only assignment I was given was a 1 page paper, and to visit a museum.

Mrs. Lash is the most laid back teacher I have ever had, part of her tests are opened booked; easy to pass. She does long lectures but once she sees that the class is bored, she will end it. one essay/ mask project, no homework. she does not call you out to read anything. she is chilled. Took her for Honors ART 102, Mrs. Lash is hilarious and charmingly clumsy. She's very passionate and knowledgeable on the subject, but she understands most people take the class as an elective and she won't punish you for not putting a lot of effort in it. She's funny! Super serious about her art, but the lectures can get boring really quick. For exams the second half is done at home and the first part is in class where she will put up a piece of art up on the screen and you will have to know some details.

Wonderful lady, she understands why most people take art and it's not their majors so she tried to make the class as nonstressful as possible. It was a very enjoyable experience. I was taking 18 cr and this class was very easy. 3 exam, half of each exam are take home, one mask project (fun& easy), easy museum paper. That's it.

Dr. Lash is the best professor that I have met so far at Nova. Her grading criteria are clear and it is obvious that you will get an A if you do your work. Her exams are 50 multiple choice questions and it is easy because 25 questions are take home and 25 at class. Take her and you will not regret taking this class.

I really recommend this professor!Took her for Art 101, biggest sweetheart. She wants this class to be the "easy" class for students so she is very straight up with how to succeed. Her class consists of 2/3 exams (Half of it is take home), 8 online open book quizzes due at the end of the semester, a museum paper and the final is take home too.

Took her 8wk hybrid class, easy A professor, but her lectures are very interesting. She sets up her exams to be half in class and half at home. She really tries to help everyone pass with an A. Even if you hate history, take her class and you won't regret it. One "big" museum visit/paper, 3 exams and 10 online quizzes.

She understands that students have enough on their plate already & take art because it's a requirement. She wants students to focus on classes related to their major but, in the mean time she teaches and covers the content so well. Professor Lash is easily my favorite professor I've ever had! She knows the material and makes it relatable. She's very fun, sweet, and offers help in her class and beyond. Her lectures are PowerPoints that stem from the textbook plus her expert knowledge, but you are only tested on EASY textbook material. Easy homework, one opinionated paper.

Professor Lash is an amazing teacher & not to mention, very funny. No matter what she will keep you entertained. She is very understanding and will never push you past your limits. There are no due dates so you are able to work at your own pace. She will make it hard for you to fail this course!! Take it, if you can, you will not regret it.

She is by far the best Professor I have ever had she is so sweet, loving, kind, and a lovely person. Shes also hilarious and cares about everyone. Her class is very easy just do the work and you ll be more than fine. You have to take her or else youll miss out on meeting such an incredible person.

In this class, there are quizzes in every week, and there are three exams. You need to read a lot because there are so many descriptions about artworks.

Great professor. There were 4 exams and one paper, in addition to weekly chapter quizzes. The book is the worst thing ever. The book is huge and is so boring. However, the tests are very easy as long as you have online book. Just use the search feature in the ebook.

This professor is the easiest professor in all of NVCC. She grades everything a hundred percent or close to a hundred if your submission was average and she has four multiple-choice exams that are open book/note. However, the book she uses is horrible. It is the most boring textbook ever and has so many pages to read each week. Overall she is great

All I'm going to say is Professor Lash is the best Art professor you could ever take! She's so sweet and caring. She made class fun and interesting. There are quizzes every week, but are open book and open note. As well there is field trip paper that is due 2 weeks before the semester ends, very easy paper. Take her!! you won't regret it!

Professor Lash has got to be the best Art professor at nova, her lectures are long yes (my class was 3 hours every week) but she makes things easy to follow. Have a little bit of an understanding about history and read the textbook and you should be fine. Highly reccomend taking her.

THE BEST. I took this class as an elective and I loved it. Very clear grading material, class consists of weekly quizzes, 3 exams and 1 final paper. She is SO nice and understanding and as long as you do all the assignments correctly I'm sure you'll earn an A. Lecture is a bit lengthy but it's definitely all worth it. I would 100% take her again!

Took the 6 week summer class. Easy A just show up for attendance credit and do the work that only takes a few minutes. There is a 3 page paper but it is graded very lightly and can easily get a 100.

She is an amazing professor, she wants you to do well in her class. She provides multiple ways to receive extra credit if you're somehow doing bad in her class. There are usually weekly quizzes that she gives out but they're fairly easy. Overall, she is a very caring professor and wants whats best for you.

The best professor I have taken for a class unrelated to my field. She makes jokes here and there during lectures and is overall really nice. She is such a sweet lady, I plan on taking her class for 102 just because I liked her and need an extra elective. All work is quizzes and one essay. TAKE HER!!!!

I needed this course for one of my prereqs and love her, The lectures are great funny during class loves talking to her students, and is okay if you don't speak. Pretty easy work just a chapter quiz all answers are in the book and one final essay paper which is amazing and you can do it she made this semester less stress !

Dr. Lash is extraordinary knowledgeable instructor. I absolutely loved her class. Her passion for ART truly inspires me through her teaching style. Her class is an outstanding experience. Lectures are so exciting, and she makes learning fun. She explains concepts with such an excitement that you have a feeling of being present in a specific era.

Dr. Lash is an incredibly kind and passionate professor. Her lectures were very interesting and informative. Although I love an easy A, her assignments were a little too easy and I never had to challenge myself. Honestly the hardest part of her class was driving to DC for the final project. I was also blocked from her email, but I doubt she knew.

Believe me when I say take her class. This woman... istg. Take her class even if its not required. This woman is literally so passionate about art, she actually ends up making you love art. Easy grader, not a lot of homework, chill lectures. This class is everything you want college to be.

When I tell you how great this professor is... whew. Just. TAKE THIS PROFESSOR. She's so easy-going and fun to talk to. She literally gives out grades for free. I got a 25 on an assignment worth 10 points with MINIMAL EFFORT. And she's SO SUPPORTIVE, and KIND, and AWESOME. I might just be in love.
