She is hilarious! Keeps me coming to class.

This was the only class that interesting enough for me to stay awake in.

She expects a LOT out of her students, and rightfully so, this is COLLEGE.

Engaging/enthusiastic teacher. Very vague paper/test requirements. Sometimes too easy to distract from entire class of lecture.

Mack is really enthusiastic, and her lectures (even at 8 am) are interesting enough to keep you awake. She's hilarious too, which always helps.

I learned the most in this class then any other class I have ever taken, she is easily distracted, so you can get her off the subject if you need to :) READ the stuff and you will be just fine, but be ready to get called on. GO TO CLASS.

Big Mac. You'd better read your assignments or you are dead in the water. Dont know the answer? too bad.. she'll waint until you figure it out.. (not fun) We watched a poor girl turn beet red and sweat for 25 minutes until she gave mack the right answer. Not a difficult class, just be up to speed on the reading- - - and for God's sake help each other out! If there was a class that the study group was invented for this was it! She is a bully but don't let her get to you-you have to earn her respect.

She is probably the best teacher, and the only teacher, I will remember for the rest of my life. All of you who wrote bad reviews must have not gone to class. Everyone who reads this must have at least one class with her in their college career...keep doing your thing Mack!!!

This woman is incredible. Yes, she swears, yet somehow, it always fits. She tells great stories but it's more than that. She keeps me so engaged and I can tell she is very passionate about what she does. It's obvious she loves her students. READ THE BOOK and pay attention in lecture (not hard i promise) and you'll be fine.

I keep seeing things on TV that she talked about in class. Her lectures were interesting, but I keep thinking about things she said and then I see examples. Cool!

Best professor I've had in my college career. She knows her stuff. This is a hard class, but if you go to class and PAY ATTENTION you'll do just fine. Mack can be somewhat disrespectful toward some of her students. She definitely puts herself on a pedestal! Don't get on her bad side--she doesn't give any slack.

Dr. Mack is one of the most brilliant professors youll ever have. Very witty and makes class a lot of fun. Stay on her good side and youll have a great semester, read the daily in her class and its all over. HIGHLY RECCOMENDED.

Great lectures. Mack is opinionated and vocal, but almost always right. She has the type of personality that most like or at least find reasonably entertaining, but that some find irritating. Would take another Mack class again, for sure.

You never have to go to this class but for the love of all that is sacred, show up on time and don't leave early, she will publicly humiliate you. Otherwise she's a real good teacher and is extremely intelligent and wordly. Tests are easy, night of cramming usually suffices for a B. Only class at ISU that I went to every day w/o being required to.

Shes a knee slapper. Pay attention or she'll rip kids to pieces and its funny as hell. Probably the reason why I'm in the school of journalism. Take this class.

Great class for anyone to take, even people who aren't JL majors. She makes the huge lecture as interesting as she can with jokes, random YouTube searches, and Polls to make the class interactive. Tests aren't hard if you review material, and ALWAYS show up on Fridays because she gives test questions for showing up. GREAT PROFESSOR!!!

absolutly hilarious, she makes you want to wake up just to come listen to her. dont show up late tho. she makes a huge lecture hall seem much smaller because of how she personalizes it. she needs her own tv show. tests are pretty difficult considering how all over the place she is in class, so rely on the study guide/book. take this class!

Classes are hilarious and easy to follow. But on the tests, she seems to make them harder by asking ? over the most random topics or putting choices that are very similar to each other.

Love this class, Love her! She is hilarious and makes class interesting and fun. Don't be late- she will call you out & have 400+ eyes and laughs coming your way. Tests are mostly based on lectures, but you will actually WANT to listen. Good study guides, take good notes & you'll do fine.

Professor Mack was funny and interesting. Many students seemed to find her intimidating. She did a good job letting us know what was going to be on the test. It would be have been helpful had she been more organized.

Sometimes it is difficult to tell what is lecture material and what is just side conversation. The class is easy and enjoyable. She almost never posts the things online at the times that she says she will. Study guides are extremely helpful, but often are posted at the last second. She's a good professor overall.

B Mack is the best teacher I have ever had. Her grading is firm but fair. Don't skip class! She really cares about her students and is always willing and available to help you out after class, and you can go to her for help with just about anything. ISU is lucky to have her. She needs her own TV show though, she is flippin hilarious...

Its a very easy class one of the tests is over tv and movies, but she has a very large ego and often singles out those late to class even when she is late to every class she lacks the respect for students but expects everyone to give the respect she lacks giving to us to her.

Very helpful and totally respectful of students. Willing to work outside of class when you don't understand something, and makes study guides for all tests. The best I've had.

You've never had a professor like Barbara Mack. Absolutely hilarious, a genius on every subject who makes you think and use your brain each and every day. You will leave her class a better writer, student, and individual. She loves and truly cares about her students. Go to class, watch the "likes" and "ummms" and you'll be fine. Great professor!

My favorite professor at ISU she keeps class fun and interesting. The only class I actually wanted to go to. She has a lot of experience and her stories slays male class fun. The 101 class I took was pretty easy but go to class cus most of the info for the tests is talked about.

Amazing instructor. Funny. Knows what she is talking about. Interesting. If you know how to write well and are intelligent, you will do very well in this class with very little effort.

B. Mack. is the bee's knees. Dont fall alseep in her class though,because she will ultimately break out the the Mack-Attack and make you cry.

Barbara Mack has a big personality and a lot to say. She seems to value her students, and packs the class full of interesting and useful information.

Barbara is a great personality, but this class just dragged on. Lectures easily got off track and class didn't follow syllabus. She's a tough grader on assignments, so make sure your writing is at its best and carefully edited.

I ABSOLUTELY ADORED THIS CLASS AND THIS WOMAN. She is by far the best professor I've ever had- she's knowledgeable, passionate, hysterical, committed and brilliant. You learn so much in her class because she makes you laugh when she teaches. This class is a MUST take and do not skip, you will miss important info as well as a wonderful 50 minutes.

Great class! Pretty easy. Go to class, take some notes, and DO the study guides! Pretty much everything is straight off the study guides, you will be guaranteed an A on the tests. Only complaint I would have it that she can talk a little fast sometimes, and I couldn't take notes fast enough.

Absolutely the best professor I've ever had. She almost had me switching to a Journalism majour just to keep having her! Tests were extremely easy as long as you pay attention and actually go to class. I never studied and was 2 points from a solid 100% in the class. I'm sad to hear she's leaving.
