Last semester, I studied in her writing and reading class. Although she is kind of hard, I really learned a lot from her. She is really funny too.

I know some people DON'T like her because their WRITING shows everything! They got bad grades just because they didn't study. Actually she's the most interesting teacher I've ever had! If you don't like to see a B or C on your record, just take the credit/no credit option!!!

She is cool, easy A as long as you do all the homework. Quize every class. Take home tests.

At 1st i thougt i will be tough by a japanese but she's a white. She's a good teacher. She gives hw a lot. I would say her class is hard but you learn. If you want to take AMLA just take her if you do not know any othe good teacher. I'm sure you want to learn something speacally 4 AMLA class, can choose creadit not credit no biggie ^^.

When I heard people saying that she is extremely mean and hard,I was scared. However, after I took her class I just totally loved it! Yes, I admit she is hard, but just because she's hard so you will be pushed on pressure a lot, and improve your skills. She only hates people who are lazy in class. This teacher is very picky... You need to have basic manner and she asks for certain format for papers. When you being rude you will be on bad side Of professor but she teaches really really well. It's not an easy A you gotta earn it and work hard for it

I love her. She is not mean at all if you respect her! There will be a quiz at the beginning of each class. Do not be late. Review her handouts which are really helpful. If you take her, you won't feel stress at all when you take English 68. She teaches super clear.

She is a good prof !!!! i took her both 42&43W classes and i got all A.. she is a little strict and sometimes gets furious with no reasons..but if you follow her rules(attend class always,speaking english only...) you will be fine...

well, this teacher is tough grader. i took her class in fall, but i got overall B. What u need to do is juz follow what she tell u to do this and not to do that. She gave u a chance to rewrite for in-class writing. Rewriting is ur opportunity to go and see tutors , check ur paper with them. That was how i got 8 or 910 on my papers in her class

I really loved her, and her class. I got a B, but she prepared me for English 68 and English 1A, and I got A's for both classes. I learnes a lot of grammar, but mostly verbs. This class is very helpful for ESL students and for native speakers. If you take her class, you will definetively pass the other English classes.

I took her class from my first semester. She is one of the best professor at this college. she is very clear and really really helpful. you should do your duty as this class student. Then You will feel your successful writing skills after her class. I STRONGLY recommend her classes!!!

Sometime you might feel bad because she speaks something bad to you in some ways.

She is amazing! I would really love to take her class again! A lot of papers and quizzes, but it really helps you to improve your writing. Just remember to follow her rules :) (speak English, turn your phone to silent mode, respect each other, etc)

I have had two of her classes so far and both of them got As. I understand the reason why she only got 3.2 just because her class is a bit tough and she is sensitive to the people who against her rules. But in my point of view, I think she is an excellent teacher. Her classes got my attention, her handouts were very useful,she is a funny person

She is nice and teaches well. I don't think she is being unreasonable for anything. Her classroom rules are okay, nothing too hard/ weird. She often gives candies. Maybe she doesn't tell the students, but I think she gives extra credit if you have the ambition to learn English (with doing a workshop, meeting with a tutor, etc).

Amazing teacher! My writing improved massively through my enrollment in her course. Her quips and humor also season the lectures to prevent a student from getting bored.

Professor Mezaki shows respect towards her students and make her lectures very interesting. She is very understanding and makes English a lot less daunting. If I could give a score higher than 5, I would. One of the best professors on campus. Truly an inspiration for me to pursue a higher understanding of the language. Thank you professor!

Prof. Mezaki is a super great teacher. Even though there is a lot of homework and classwork in her class, it is not difficult if you pay attention and follow instructions. If you really want to improve your English, I would highly recommend her class. However, if you want to have an easy grade, it's probably not fit for you.

I took this class for spring 2020, first month we took in class and we transfer to online from 3/18. she is really nice and warm hearted professor, there are a lot of homeworks but well designed and neccessary for essays. the class materials are intersting and meaningful, she also did a good job at google slide, really impressive.i learnt a lot!

There are lots of assignments in this class, if you do not have time to study do not take this class. Overall its a good class and you leaned a lot. Easy A if you study hard and do all the assignments.

Definitely highly recommend. Her lecture is a lot of fun, she is very attentive and cares about her students to grow. After taking her class, i become a way better writer than i used to be. Her class is a little bit overwhelming due to the heavy amount of workload, but shes willing to help you make it work.

At first when I registered this class a little late, I struggled a bit but after that everything went fine. When it came to having loads of HW, she would extend the due date after asking her to do so. Her TC helps. She gives very good feedback (critiques) on the essays and they are very helpful. This class felt like a breeze after I kept pace.

Yes, AMLA requires too many assignments, and if you have jobs, going to Amla 90 becomes very difficult. But you take this professor, many of the assignments she gives you full points as long as you submit them. And she scores the paper very high and the feedbacks are also useful.

Mrs. Mezaki is very caring and funny, great feedback, she does give some homework but nothing difficult as long as you are diligent and keep up, you'll be ok. Pop quiz are a plus in this class. There are tons of extra credit you could do to help towards your final grade, TC is very helpful. You will learn in this class; will recommend.

Professor Barbara Mezaki is a great teacher that carries everyone along, she is patient to listen and try her best to attend to everyone.

Great instructor. I took her hybrid class that meets once a week this semester. She always had positives attitude and was excited for the team activities. There were lots of quizzes for the reading materials but they were not too hard to deal with. She's generous on grades if you take your homework seriously. I would take her class again.

Took her in the Fall. There are 3 papers and a final. Lots of assignments, teamwork, and presentations every day. She has great energy and is willing to help her students. She makes the class enjoyable and gives activities that encourage us to step out of our comfort zones. Easy A if you do homework, study, and engage in the class.

She was my first English Writing class teacher. Professor Mezaki is nice and caring. If you do your homework properly and interact in class, it will be an easy class. I enjoyed reading her material and the final project was easy. I would take her class again. It is a great class to practice your writing.

Professor Mezaki's class has a lot of assignments, but she's generous on grading if you stay on top of the work. The material can be challenging, but using unstuck AI along with the textbook really helped me ace this course.

I took prof Barbara as my first Eng course in Mt.sac. ppl say her lecture has a lot of assignments but it is doable. The professor herself is very kind and caring. I liked the book we read in class, it changed my perspective in life. But it is a bit time consuming!
