She was very helpful, and understanding. However, she required many things to be turned in at certain dates before the final draft. Also, the class could have been 20 minutes each day to sum up everything she needed to teach instead of 50.

She is a hippie and was very sweet. Soft spoken and an easy grader. She took us to the Van-Landingham Glen to play with the trees and the flowers...it was great!

Great teacher. Lets us argue out our points. a lot of work though, grades fairly hard. Takes off a lot for grammer. Go to class and do the papers and you are guarnteed at least a B. Has many peer review sessions.

Mrs. Presnell is a very good teacher. She is not hard, but you must do what she asks of you in class. Do forum questions and, write good supportive papers, and come to class. If you do those things you are almost guaranteed an A or B.

She really is a great teacher. Her class was by far my favorite of my Freshman year. With the arguements we'd have and all it was fu. The papers weren't hard and the online aspect was easy. With mediocre effort I was able to pull a B.Highly recommend!

Shes a very good teacher...i really enjoyed having her this semester..She grades fairly if you have trouble go to her after class or and she will help you alot...you should be able to get at least a B with little effort..just give good support in papers.

Gosh I loved this class. Its the only one that woke me up on MWF. She is a great teacher who is always willing to help. SHe is funny too, class was never boring and an A is easy to get.

Presnell is not only nice, but she's helpful and always willing to explain every grade that she gives. In some cases, she allows rewrites, which is very good, and each time, if necessary she will direct you for a better grade. four major essays, and a few little ones in between.

Incredible teacher, fun class! It was my smallest class so I got to know the people better and she was always really laid back and helpful. Topics on the three papers were fun and group effort helped out a lot. She was very lenient and totally interesting. Awesome lady and a damn good class.

Professor Presnell is very laid back. She is definitely easy to get along with. However, she expects perfection on your final drafts. Be prepared!

One of UNCC's best professors. VERY willing to help and give deadline extensions. If you go to class and act like you care you will get an A. Very easy, 3 big papers and homework and quizzes are a breeze. EASY EASY EASY

Very nice and easy, however, she isn't very organized and don't expect to learn anything except maybe about MLA formatting. She is very helpful and understanding. Easy A if your a decent writer.

One of the best professors I've had here at UNCC. If you like discussions take this class. I generally a quiet person, but in this class I felt so at home even I participated in discussions. Assignments are reasonable. u wont mind waking up in the morinng for this class.

This class gives you all the freedom you can ask for. She doen't criticize your ideas only help if your making big mistakes. Every day was a discussion for us because the papers were interesting. Class should be an easy A. If i had to take another enlish course, she will definitely be my professor.

Great class and awesome teacher. Loves letting you just write for fun. No horrible reading assignments or anything like that. I would recommend taking any class with Ms. Presnell.

Ms. Presnel is probably one of the best english teacher UNCC has to offer. She grades fairly and doesn't assign too many reading assignments. This class was sooo easy,I highly recommend this class as a gpa booster.

Possibly the most boring professor I've taken in the past 4 years. Take her only if you're having trouble sleeping as she'll solve that problem quickly.

She's SO very easy... I highly recommend her! Make sure you buy the book, attendance counts but you can have up to 10 absences. I had her for Engl 1101 last semester and I'm taking 1102 with her this semester.

I almost dropped this class after reading the syllabus: 3 absences, lots of outside work. But she is really lenient and will work with you if you have problems. No grades, final portfolio was my entire grade, but if you try at least a little bit, you can guarantee an A or B.

Very easy teacher. 3 Big papers to write. Go to the WRC and turn in rough drafts. You will get B/A if you go to class.

Mrs. Presnell is the sweetest english professor ever!! I hated writing papers before this class, she really opens your eyes to new ways of writing and offers plenty of examples and extra help if you need it. She works with you to make sure you get your work done. Her syllabus is a little off but shes understanding if you get the days confused.

I absolutely love Mrs. Presnell. She's an awesome teacher who makes english so much fun. Even when she assigns essays to write the essays are always fun and you actually enjoy doing them. I highly recommend taking her.

Mrs. Presnell was one of the best teachers I've ever had. I never really like English, but I loved her class. You do write papers, but it's usually interesting topics you read from the book. You also have discussions almost everyday so make sure you read b/c she will call on you and ask your opinion. Overall, wonderful teacher!

I do not enjoy writing AT ALL. Mrs. Presnell made her papers SO much easier through the process of the assignment. Write as much as you can of a rough draft so she has something to work with to help you. She took me from a paper that I thought was HORRIBLE and was stuck on and helped it to be something I was proud of. She is SUPER helpful. TAKE HER

She is very friendly and keeps thngs interesting. I definitely recommend taking her. She keeps the reading relevant to the assignments and she tries numerous, intriguing approaches to presenting the information. She explains the assignments well and is always willing to help.

Barbara is one of the best professors I have ever heard. She is very understanding and will work with any students. Attendance is important but it's hard not to go to her classes, they are always so entertaining. The class is not hard and it is easy to make a good grade. If you like to write, definitely take her English 1101x class!

She is an incredible teacher. She creates the most interesting assignments possible. She is always willing to help and can improve even the worst writer's skills. Attendence is mandatory but I actually enjoyed attending the class.

Nice teacher. Several different assignments, not strictly writing papers. However, she's a bit DISORGANIZED! Right before grades closed I saw on MOODLE that she'd given me a 0 on a paper I did really well on! Luckily I'd saved graded paper & had to RUSH all the way back to school to show her I'd passed it in. Her mistake almost costed me my A!

Prof. Presnell is very eccentric and takes a unique approach to English; although the course was boring at times, the workload was very light; as long as you make the revisions she suggests and put a good amount of effort into your final portfolio, you will do well in the class

The workload is light but you will learn a lot about the writing process. One of the best English courses I have had. The class could be slightly boring at some times. The teacher is very understanding if you encounter any problems along the way.

Mrs. Presnell is a really sweet lady. Her class is not very difficult. We did three assignments over the whole semester. The final exam was presenting our work for the semester.

I LOVED this class. She has a quirky sense of humor, has interesting assignments that you want to do, and she will work with you. There's a lot of work, but if you do what she says, you'll do well and learn a lot.

It's not hard but it's not easy either. You learn a lot about writing but she makes it interesting so you don't realize it. Do the homework. She's great, funny, really knows how to write.

The only way to not get an A in Mrs. Presnell's class is not doing what she tells you. She is a very nice woman and is extraordinarily helpful. Not a hard class in the least. Reading quizzes are easy. She loved my work and this class was easier than my high school english classes. Highly recommend.

Amazing professor who really wants her students to do well. All the class consists of is a personal essay, and inquiry paper, and an eportfolio. Almost impossible not to get an A in the class if you do the three projects, even minimally. Presnell has an awesome sense of humor and will always help if you need her.

After checking on her for an english teacher I found Presnell, and her reviews were right! She is an amazing teacher who really helps you love English. I use to hate it, and now this is one of my favorite classes. You have some work, but she is fun and easy. She even sent us on a fieldtrip once.

Barbara is the absolute best! I have always been an English lover, and having her as my Professor made me love English even more. She is so funny and so kind, she really teaches her students how to "write again" without all of the BS we are taught in high school. Absolutely would recommend!

Love Professor Presnell! We did a couple of essays, completed an online portfolio, readings/online forum discussions, and that was pretty much it. She's always willing to offer feedback and makes class interesting.

Barbara is a very nice teacher. Expects you to do some writing but nothing too major. An inquiry paper takes up a large amount of the class but she guides you and makes it interesting. Make sure you do the work when she gives it to you and it's an easy class.

TAKE THIS CLASS. She is the nicest and easiest teacher I have has at UNCC. She really works with you and helps you pass. There are no test, and you spend the whole semester writing one paper. You really cant fail, she wont allow it.

Prof. Presnell is a must have! Her class is very easy to pass. She is very helpful, and though she assigns a lot of homework, doing it improves your grade, and she is there to help every step of the way. I learned a lot over the course of the semester. Would highly recommend!

The only homework you have is some readings and you have to write a response saying what you thought about it. Easy class.

One of the few teachers who I actually like. Presnell is a very nice person who is willing to offer you help if you ever get stuck. Her class is fairly easy, sure there is a lot of homework but so long as you actually do it you'll be fine. The only major project is this portfolio and another project. Not too bad. Take her class if you have to.

Professor Presell is awesome. 50% of our grade was based on homework so as long as you did it, you would get a 100, 25% is your midterm portfolio, and 25% your final eportfolio. All of the writing you do is personal and you choose your own topics. She lets you have control of what you write and you get to write in first person. Would recommend her.

I loved her. She is always willing to help you, give descriptive feedback, and motivate you to do better. She encourages free, creative thoughts and let's you control what you want to write with no restrictions. The only thing I would watch out for is the Final E-Portfolio. There is no midterm or final, just websites to make in place of those.

How good the class is depends on how great the professor is and Barbara was great! She is very helpful and easy to talk to. I always emailed her whenever I had the slightest bit of trouble. Really nice professor, easy assignments, easy A.

Barbra is not only a good teacher but also a really interesting person. She makes your papers and assignments more interesting than the average teacher. She's always available to answer your questions and seems more then willing to help. 10/10 would take her again.

Take her for UWRT! She's really friendly! She's pretty straight forward about assignments and her expectations. She doesn't accept late work but there are a TON of assignments so if you forget one homework assignment here or there your grade won't suffer. Her harshest policy is attendance but as long as you show up it shouldn't be a problem.

Ms. Presnell is amazing. She gets to know each of her students specifically and is really eager to help however she can. Do your homework, come to class, and do your best; she's very fair.

Prof. Presnell is awesome. I never really liked writing all that much until I took this class. She takes the time to actually read and comment your essays. If I could take another writing class with her I definitely would.

Super caring and takes time to get to know all of her students. Gives feedback and a lot of class time to work on essays. Super empathetic and understanding. Gives you the freedom to write about pretty much whatever you want with your investigative essays. The readings and discussions are relevant and interesting. Her class made me love writing.

Will read a lot of articles. She has a 0,85,100 grading scale where if you complete an assignment you get an 85 but if you do well on that assignment you get 100. Papers are easy to write and actually interesting to write about since you get to chose your own topics most of the time

Barbara is an amazing teacher! She gives you specific changes to make to your rough draft and as long as you make the changes she wants you to make you will get an A. No reason to get less than a B in this class. You do have to read quite a few articles but it's easy.

Barbara was a great teacher. Very relaxed grader and as long as you put in like 50% effort, you will get an A in this class. The one thing I didn't like was that you have to share your thoughts and opinions a lot and I am a nervous person so that was hard for me. But overall, she is a great teacher and there is a lot of work but its manageable.

Professor Presnell is one of the sweetest professors on this campus. She is very helpful and gives great feedback on all of your work. Although she does give a lot of homework and projects, they aren't too hard if you do them in a timely manner, and they help you become a better writer and researcher.

She listens and tries to connect with all of her students. Very easy to talk to her and share opinions and ideas. The class involves many group projects so I recommend taking this class with a friend. Assignments are fairly graded so as long as you put a little bit of effort it should be easy to get an A.

Prof. Presnell is a great professor. You can tell that she truly cares about her students, as well as the class. You do have to write several papers, but she help you along the way and gives great feed back. There is some homework reading, but it is not too long. Overall, a great class and an amazing professor, highly recommend taking her class!

There is no way you should get lower than a high B in this class. She provides feedback for almost every assignment before you submit the final draft. There are quite a few homework assignments but they are not overwhelming. There is one group project. Barbara genuinely cares for her students and it shows. Would definitely recommend!
