Barbara Rhodes is the single best math teacher I have ever had and she's super nice too. She makes calculus fun.

Porbably one of the best math teachers I've had to date. She explains everything in a clear manner and does lots of examples so you get the picture. Her tests aren't too hard, just a little long to finish in time.

Best math teacher so far. Makes the material interesting and understandable for the most part. I've had better in cegep but not in university.

very nice lady , she really loves her job , likes the students and want to help them overtime ,attended one lecture, never studied the whole semester, one week before the exam was enough to pass ,i don't recommend this approach though lol, the material is big and could be very confusing no matter how easy it is and how much of a math whiz you are .

She's a very good math teacher, with her you won't have any difficulties to understand concepts, and she prepares you very well for the final BUT you still have to study on your own in order to get a high grade...

Her midterms are hard, but she is a fair grader. The final was really hard this year, 20 people failed this year, but if put the hardwork in you can easily end up with a B

good teacher, rambles on a lot and focuses more on easy stuff than difficult content. but overall she gets you ready for the final, do all the old practice exams and mathxl and youll do fine! also, she is not very helpful when you have a question, she will most likely treat you like you are incredibly stupid and look annoyed prior to answering.

she is really a nice teacher, her example is very clear, I got a A+ by taking her course, really helpful....well sometimes she may miss the office hour, but that doesn't matter.you dont even need to bring your book,you will understand the question easily by learning her examples

Barbara is a great teacher with a wicked sense of humour. She's extremely high energy and loves what she teaches. She can sometimes be a little bit rough on individual students with her jokes and can seem annoyed by people who ask a lot of questions during the lecture. Do not take it personally. She is very approachable after class for questions.

Great teacher. She is very energetic and passionate about math. She can seem impatient at times but will always answer questions during or after class.

Her class will go to the very last minute. Make sure you stay the full class. She explains really well and slowly. She is always really excited about what she is about to teach. Don't be afraid to ask questions. Although she might seem irritated, she really just wants you to understand. One of the best teachers I have had so far.

I was out of school for 6 years and have forgotten everything I learned in high school. I needed these 2 courses in order to get accepted into my program, and without her I don't think I would be successful in these two courses. Mrs. Rhodes is very passionate about teaching, you can feel in her energy level. Her lesson clear and easy to understand.

I took a class at night and even after a full day of classes, Barbara kept me awake with her humor. If ever you need extra help, she's ready and willing to help you outside of class for as long as you need. She is very clear and gives great notes. I'd highly recommend taking her class!

Mrs. Rhodes is a passionate and great professor, her humor makes the lectures more vibrant and entertaining. At the same time she tries to motivate everybody to try hard. She also explains the material pretty well, and demonstrates her years of experience by explaining to us certain tips or areas that she knows students over the years find tricky.

Enthusiastic, patient, does her best to ensure you understand You still need to do the work, so there is no easy A here - the material isn't that tough though

She is very good at breaking down difficult problems and she gets that not everyone is thrilled to be in Math so she tries to bring as much humour into the course as possible. She is also very passionate about her work. Only complaint I would have is that she is a little to picky when it comes to grading work. Other than that, recommend.

AMAZING! would recommend anyone to take her class. Explains clearly and knows her material. only downside is a bit slow in teaching to make sure everyone gets it, which results in rushing the harder parts at the end of the semester to catch up. but would still recommend

Very good math teacher, starts preparing you for exams from class 1. Really wants you to learn and is funny & cute lady. Very quirky and fun but does not stray from material. Do her homework assignments, go to class and you are sure to do well. No need for the textbook- she gives you everything you need to succeed.

Friendly , approachable professor, genuinely cares for the success of her students. a lot of material and new concepts to learn in a very rapid pace, spends the extra time after class and during break to ensure all questions are answers. Best part is a new song at the end of every class to keep students motivated for learning math.

She is a fun professor who really enjoys what she teaches. She makes is easily tolerable to get back home at 9pm in the cold cold outside. At the end of every lecture, she finishes with a different song :) She is so good that I go to two of her lectures everyweek, just to have extra study time. She gives a break in her 135min lectures.

Very good math teacher. In 203 she's not the one who makes the exam but she does her best to prepare you for it. Her lectures are complete and the problems she does on the board are very important - make sure to take good notes and practice from the examples she gives. She rushes sometimes but it's because there a lot of material and not much time

Honestly one of the best math profs out there. Made my 6pm night class feel better than an afternoon class. She writes the notes on the blackboard, which i honestly loved, as i feel like that's the way I learn best. She gives many examples, and prepares you for the final to the best of her ability.

Guys to be honest she is one of the best professors at Concordia. She teaches kinda fast but it's not her fault there is a lot of stuff to do. She explains every single thing in lectures and you won't even need a ask question. She posts previous finals and midterms on Moodle. If you want to learn and get good grade definitely take her class.

An amazing math teacher. Easy to follow lectures with lots of examples. She gives great tips for exams and tells you exactly what you should study. Also fairly funny. Only downside is that she goes a little fast at times. Definitely take her if you get the chance.

Great professor, explains concepts in great detail so that's easy to understand. Funny and plays a song at the end of all lectures to incorporate learning math and make it fun.

Great teacher for Math 209. She explains the material very well and makes lectures interesting. Math 209 is a tough course regardless, so it is important to study and do all the recommended practice questions in the textbook before exams to fully understand everything.

You won't be bored in her class. She's very funny and keeps the class active. In terms of teaching - she is very good. She gives great advice for the final and is willing to help.

Mama Mia, she is an angel she cares, she's funny you will adore her personality and she is well experienced well educated and down to earth professor never hesitate to take this class

shes honestly so funny and focused in class. she gives solid examples but moves on very quick!! she grades quite hard, so make sure you follow her solutions. do your math labs and previous tests/exams and you will do fine, despite whatever teacher you have.

Barbara for 208 was a game changer. She focused on what was going to be on the exam. Personally I enjoy that kind of teaching rather than teaching us 100 differents things and then only 50% of it being on the exam. She doesn't use a PowerPoint, and does everything on the board, which I find 1000 times better because you actually see the steps.

She really tries (and succeeds) to make MATH 209 more interesting, which is hard to do.

Professor Rhodes made my 6-8 class bearable. If it weren't for her, I would've dropped within the first week. She gives solid examples, tells you everything you need to know, and is also hilarious. She moves fast, which wasn't a problem for me, but for some, it might be. Even then, just ask her on spot and she'll clarify immediately.

READ! She is truly amazing. I usually dont rate professors but she is a must. She focuses on whats on the exam without leaving anything out. She explains clearly and does maaany examples. She is very approachable and you cannot get a bad grade !

Took her for 208 last semester and I retook her this semester for 209. She's straight to the point and teaches us only the stuff that might be on the exam. No extra stuff ''for curriculum purposes''. Very funny as well, so lectures pass by quickly, but you need to show up to class cuz it's a 2 hour class with a lot of material and you need to focus

Rhodes makes Cal I one of the most fun courses you'll ever take as an undergrad instead of total perdition. CAUTION: if you don't have a firm background in pre-Cal, this course will be a nightmare. But if you've taken MATH 201, get ready to have some laughs supplemented by clear instruction with lots of examples taken from old exams. She's a blast!

She's awesome, she teaches you what you need to know and gives you relevant exercises. She makes the class so much easier. I would definitely pick her again.

She prepares you very well for the exams, so even though attendance isn't mandatory, i highly recommend it. Covers a lot of material in class, most of the time goes over by 10mins. She can sometimes seem condescending when answering questions, it's important not to take it personal and keep asking questions nonetheless! You're there to succeed :)
