Tests are demanding but one of the best professors

Her classes are all about overheads and examples. At times, it could be boring, but her methods got the point across well. Provided review for tests. Tests were difficult, but definitely aceable. Like any class, a little work could go a long way. She is also very energetic.

One of the best MARKETING professor at Davie, taken into consideration this is my 2nd time taking this class. The 1st professor I took this class with wasn't good at all. Prof. Conte is interested in u learning. She seen passionate about her work and knows alot. Her exam are not that bad if u study. The Comp. Final is the easily exam in her class.

Would recommend this proofessor. There is a total of 4 exams with the option of dropping the lowest grade, extra 20 points if u r there for every class. The first 3 exams is from the text, lecture and powerpoint notes, read the text its helpful. The final is only her lecture and powerpoint slides (Its the easiest out of the 4 exams).

Would highly receommend her. Her test are hard but if you go to class & take notes you will do just fine. Her exams are basically from slides and lecture, gives extra credit. Got C in the 1st 3 exam & A+ in $th exam & got 19 attendence points and pass het class with A.

I highly recommend taking her. She is clear on what is required; classes are fun; she interacts with her students. The test can get a little tricky but if you study the slides + some info's from the book, you should not have any trouble passing her class with good grade. Plus she gives extra point for attendance!

One of the best profs at FAU. She definitely has a passion for what she does and makes sure that all of the info is easy to understand. The tests are difficult but everything on the tests is covered in lecture. I wish all my professors were as good as her.

Best teacher I have ever taken! She keeps your attention throughout the entire class, you can't help but pay attention. Attendance is a must b/c she will remember everyones name by the 2nd week. If you have the opportunity to take her, you should!

Professor Conte is awesome. She is extremly nice and clear about the objectives. She keeps the class fun and interesting, and goes out of her way to help students!

She is an excellent teacher. Makes subject interesting and gives exams that cover the material she assigns. She does take attendance so try to go to class as it does count for 10% of the overall grade.

Awesome Teacher! Really made the class interesting. Attendance was part of the grade, tests couldbe tricky, but if you study right from the slides they aren't too bad. Have to do a group project, get a good group! Overall great class would recommend her!

One of the best professors in the FAU business dept. She takes attendance so you have to go to class. Shes more than willing to help you with anything and makes class interesting.

It's not a cake class, there is a lot of work required if you want to get an A. There's a large project due at the end which is 25% 0f our grade and she grades it with a fine tooth comb! Just don't expect this to be too easy.

Interesting class. Good educator. You have to know your material very well though to do good on the test. The questions are application questions not just memorization. Project at the end is a night mare. Also attendance is absolutely a must. I only missed one class the whole term and got points deducted.

Probably one of the professors FAU has. She is extremely knowledge and passionate about the topic. The class may seem easy because it?s open discussion with Power point slides, but don?t be fooled, the test can be hard if you don?t study. One of the best teacher at FAU. You need to study for tests, but they are fair and easy if you study. Need to be on time and go to classes, also good to say something in class every now and then for participation.

This is the second class I've had with her and she's still great. I'm happy to have had her as a professor. Just go to class, read your chapters, and take notes. From there it's a walk in the park. And for the record, "CONTE IS THE BEST MARKETING TEACHER AT FAU"!

This teacher loves her job. She is extremely helpful & very excited when she teaches. She counts class participation heavily and deducts points for tardies, attendance, & distractions. Attendance is mandatory! Easy class tho. Read assigned textbook pages & take notes from lectures & read her ppoint slides & you will get an A. Paper project also!

This was the best class i've taken so far at FAU. She has a strict attendance/tardiness policy but other than that her class is really interesting and she makes it fun. Tests are kind of hard but just go to class read the pp's! And she's also really understanding, so if you have a problem, just talk to her, and she'll work with you!

Prof. Conte is the BEST! Attendance is a must (10% of your grade). Tests are super easy but still tricky (study the powerpoints). She is so helpful. There is a paper to do but it's super easy just don't wait until the last minute. I'd take her again!

She is a very nice person and professor. Don't take her if your looking for an easy ride. You have to read nad most of all understand each chapter. You also have to attend class because most of the things that are discussed during the lecture session all most always appear on the test.

She makes the class fun and excting. Absolute sweetheart and very understanding if you have any problems. Attendence is mandatory but she makes in worth while. Tests are application not definitions. Read the chapters, powerpoints and take plenty of notes. There is a project but its very easy. Just don't procrastinate.

she is very passionate about marketing. class is interesting and she plays lots of videos. tests are tricky though so you have to take a lot of notes, read the book, and take the practice online quizzes to do well.

I didn't study much and I passed with a 75. She's really nice and funny. Carrot Top took her btw. I took her in the Summer so she makes a long class very interesting with her slides of magazine ads and videos. She let our class out very early. Oh and I would concentrate on what she says in class/powerpoints. You don't need to read the book.

she is clear about the topics discussed in class, helpful examples when she shows magazine ads n videos, but her tests are pretty hard, there is no project everything is just 4exams and she drops the lowest 1 and has a comprehensive exam 2 replace the lowest grade if necessary, plus a department exam...u gotta study ur a** off 4 the tests though!!

Great professor! I always looked forward to her lectures. Even though the class required a lot of work (reading, studying, taking lots of notes), I still enjoyed it. Attendance is a must, and remember that she covers everything fast, 5-6 chapters per test! Her tests focus on the material covered in class, but you must study everything in detail.

She is great. Lots of reading, but she said that's why she doesn't give a project - the book is your project. She's clear, well-organized, intelligent and fun.

If you expect to get an easy A then this isn't the class for you. You must read the assigned chapters and study all the lecture notes. This class will require time and effort, but overall the lectures are interesting, and everything that is on the exam is covered in class. Some of the test questions are word for word from what you hear in class.

Great teacher if you actually want to learn and are willing to put in the effort. Yes, there are pop quizzes, but they benefit students who show up on time. The class is very interesting and exams reflect material covered in class. If you are a good student, and willing to put forth the time and effort, than you should definitely take this class!

Best marketing professor I took so far. She's very clear and students know what to expect. Tests are based on her lecture. If you go to class each day, take good notes, and study for the test, you will do well.

Great class! Info straight from slides, but must go to class to get additional info from slides that aren't all posted on blackboard. No book needed. I didn't ever study & passed! Would recommended over Root, because I have friends who said they wish they took my professor. 4 exams & the final was optional. Best Intro to Marking Prof!

Excellent teacher, you have to read and study hard but i loved the class, it was very interesting and prof Conte is very organized she knows the subject and i think she is one of the best at FAU

Pretty good teacher. Although attendance isn't mandatory, she usually talks about current evens which show up on the exams. She kept the class interesting and was usually lighthearted. As long as you take good lecture notes and study a solid hour or two before the exams you should pass. No homework, 4 exams and an optional, comprehensive final

Had her for prom mgmt & cons. behavior. Both classes are 4 tests (20% each) and iclicker quiz points (20% of final grade). Lectures from PPT's and doesnt use the text though reading the text can help. Many people's grades suffered because of the 2 to 4 iclicker questions each class. If you study and come to class you will do well.

A very sweet lady. She's interested in the subject and makes the class fun! I got an A- in the class by going to most of the classes and reading the chapters in the textbook. The tests are pretty basic and to-the-point, if you've studied. I highly recommend her!

Great professor! While she follows the powerpoints she is engaging and shows many visual examples(video clips, ads) I cllicker points are 20% of ur grade so you must attend but she is a great speaker so lectures go by quickly. Her tests are easyy if you review the powerpoints and read the vocab in the book. I would suggest her!!

Took Professor based on ratings, guess I should have payed more attention to the negative reviews. I attended every class & studied for all exams and ended up with the my first C in my college career. Her teaching methods appeal to only a very specific type of learner. She would be much better suited in a middle or high school classroom.

This is the most beneficial teacher i've ever had. Go to class for the iclicker points, her tests are for the most part straight forward. She doesnt curve, but she doesnt need to.

Have taken this prof. in the past for MAR3023 also. Yes she's adamant about attending(something that doesn't suit me well), yes you must read(again not my cup-o-tea), and tests are no cake walks, BUT if you want to actually learn about marketing she's the one. She loves teaching, knows the material, and engages students. No one said it'd be easy.

Very straight forward online class, Prof made everything very clear. Literally read every chapter in the book but it wasn't difficult. Grade based on 6 exams, three chapters each, and 3 discussion board posts, with 1 original post and 1-3 replies. Not hard. Definitely take this class!

Awesome teacher. She really cares about her students and what her students have to say. I wouldn't say she's super easy but she gives you all the information you need, you just have to study. She's fair, loves her subject, and keeps up with her grades quickly. She has iclicker so you have to go to class. Take her!!

She is possibly the best professor I've had so far at FAU. She's really interactive with her students and knows her stuff. Don't expect this course to be easy. Always read before coming to class because of daily iClicker quizzes. I'll be signing up for two other classes she teaches next semester. Good Luck!

All you have to do is purchase the book online. Got a B without trying. If you manage to get below a B you are a clown. Nice lady too and cares about her students

I took Professor Conte for Consumer Behavior and Promo Mgmt. The class is not an easy A, however if you go to every class, participate and read the lecture slides you will do fine. I did not purchase the textbook and only relied on her slides and in class examples. I got an A on one of her exams and Bs on the rest; iClicker points help a ton too

Conte is a great professor! She knows how to keep a 175-student lecture hall interested for 90 minutes. The only problem is that her exams are online and very difficult. Buy a book and use it for every single exam. Exam questions come from minute details in the book and you have to really search for the answers in there. Google will not help you!

took this class online. prof is great. 6 exams (3 chapters per test), 4 discussion questions(1 post, 2 replies min to get a good grade - follow guidelines -not hard if you do some research) and the departmental final. easy class to take with other hard courses, especially QMB or OM. TAKE HER!

BEST professor I've ever had in my four years at FAU. She keeps class interesting, provides current events as examples in consumer behavior and promo mgmt. Cares about her students and super passionate about marketing. Went through consumer beh. without the book and got a 98 on every exam. Wish I could have taken all classes with her.Def recommend!

Seriously the best professor at FAU. Her teaching methods are so interesting that you don't even have to study for the exams! She is SOOOOO amazing I wish she taught everything! And she loves Game of Thrones. She's just the best

I took this class online and received a B. Prof. Conte was very straight to the point for exams, just make sure to review before taking the exam! I would definitely take her classes again!

Amazing professor! Don't buy the book its a waste. Her powerpoint and lectures are crystal clear for exams. She does require daily iclicker quizzes in class (attendance is a must) and MML every week. Its a lot of work but its really easy once you become familiar w the routine. She's a great speaker and her classes go quick. Very fair teacher.

Ive taken her twice and shes one of the better professors here. She gives clear instructions on assignments and tests. All work was relevant and not just busy work. Id take her again if I could.

Lectures are good but long. Tests are timed & tough, you must read all the chapters & go to class in order to pass. She will put things on the tests that were mentioned in class. Tests were on blackboard & department test was in class, timed & proctored. Nice teacher & thorough. She's one of the better professors for MAR3025

I really enjoy her, ALTHOUGH, her mandatory clicker points are so annoying. Even if you were to attend class everyday you would most likely miss out on a few points. And while they may not be a huge chunk of the grade, it still affects you. So if you like to skip class, DON'T take her. But her exams are SO EASY, and she's pretty cool.

Class assignments are easy. Her tests are a whole other story. Very hard unless you READ! She has 2 capture tests and department exam wasn't easy. You wont be able to find her answers for her tests online so I would recommend reading. I got a 79.24 and she would not boost my grade. She's drops one test grade take comprehensive. 100Q 2.5 hours

Online course was not hard, but you have to put in the reading to pass the class. Exams were not hard but the only problem I had as an "A" student was that she could have given more time for the exams. She gives 60 minutes for 50 questions which I think is unfair for online students since we have to put in alot of reading plus do other classes.

I like that the assignments are clear-cut and online, so no projects. However, she's rigid. I was getting married, and she wouldn't open an exam early, so I had to drop the course. I've never had someone so unhelpful. The syllabus and all announcements sound like she's talking to high schoolers when we are all working professionals.

Very nice. Gives notes in class that are not online. Do the hw and quizzes and try to understand. I would visit the Teachers Assist., Austin (cool guy), to review exams after being taken. It's all about grasping the material and not learning definitions by verbatim. Online exams & no backtracking. As a marketing student, I would take her again.

Took her for 6 week summer class. It's ALOT of busy work.... Overall though, this class was pretty good. I'd recommend her!

Iclicker quizzes 20% of your grade, must read chapter before class AND slides. You have to take good notes, she tests what is IN CLASS (not included in blackboard slides, material found nowhere else) and the book. You must read to pass, read her slides, take notes everyday. Open book tests 50questions 70min. You must keep up and understand or else

great lady with energy. she does give Iclicker quizzes beginning of every class. Be sure to take notes because her lectures have information not on the regular student power point which is on the test. online tests are hard so either study your butt off or have answers drop from the sky. tests and homework due the night before the exam

For an online class, very reasonable. Do all your assignments in time and you will pass with flying colors. She is very strict, but for an online class that is not a problem. You have a big window for each assignment, no essay, no fuss, no group projects. Really nice class, recommend this professor, especially the online class. Must take !

Miss Conte is one of my favorite professors at FAU. She does an excellent job bringing understanding to marketing concepts and is by far one of the most likable professors I have studied under. She has a great attitude and is very knowledgeable and passionate about teaching. I wish her the best and plan to keep in contact with her.

Course and professor are VERY well organized. Professor allows for lowest grade to be dropped and even to skip the final exam if you are fine with your grades, as the 0 gets dropped. Course is straightforward and professor keeps in contact with you. EXCELLENT.

She is such a sweet lady! I loved the class and class discussions. The tests aren't too bad but the pop quizzes do suck. Lots of learnsmart and hw from connect but its not bad at all. Would take her again!

Her class is pretty interesting. She does clicker questions which count towards your grade, they add up quick so go to class. She does connect so you have to read, but some of the learnsmart questions are part of the exam along with the extra information she adds to her powerpoints during class. But over all shes very nice and I enjoyed her class.

Professor Conte is great! It is clear that she loves teaching because her lectures are simply amazing. There are four online exams (answers can easily be found in book), study for the in-class department exam, connect homework and quizzes, LearnSmart, and study powerpoints for the iClicker quizzes. Fairly simple class, but you must apply effort.

Professor Conte is a good professor. She sends detailed emails discussing the material at the beginning of each week and what is due. There are five exams (some answers can be found in the book and online), but some exams don't allow backtracking, connect homework and quizzes, LearnSmart, three discussion boards, and optional comprehensive final.

The course essentially teaches itself. I don't think I ever interacted with her once. She does provide emails regarding employment opportunities and internships which was very nice. The course itself was very easy. Just do the work and you'll get a good grade.

One of the best marketing professors at FAU. A lot of connect homework, however, not to hard. I loved listening to her lectures and she is really down to earth. I would take this professor over again, if i had the chance.

This class requires a lot of in class lecture notes for all the exams so you need to be in class. She asks the students a lot of participation questions so it always kept us focused. Her lectures are lively and you won't have a problem paying attention in this class. There are 4 exams and HW for every chapter. Take her!

Out of all the professors I have taken here at FAU, Professor Conte was one of the best professors I have had the pleasure of learning with. She is enthusiastic about her work and always up to date on the latest trends and information when it comes to her specialty, marketing. Definitely recommend!

Took this class online. A lot of Connect homework and a quiz for every chapter but it was a fairly easy class. My only complaint was that the exams were ONLY available on Saturdays from 8am-11pm. NO exceptions.

Professor Conte is a great professor and is very fair. This class does require a lot of reading through learn-smart but it helps you get ready for the Quiz after each chapter. You also take 4 exams in this course but there not to hard.

Do all the work in Connect, take decent notes on the book and her lecture videos, and you should get an A with not too much effort. Exams are open book, open notes and monitored online through webcam. I communicated with her once and she came off a little rude, but her class was simple and easy.

She is amazing. I almost changed my major from Finance to Marketing. Definitely the best profesor I ever had.

The professor's lectures are engaging, and the course material is manageable with regular study using the textbook and helpful resources like Unstuck ai. Attendance is mandatory, but the workload is reasonable.
