It's very rare to have a teacher that's not only concerned with your performance, but with your overall understanding of the subject matter and your well-being. She's not only a great professor but she's a friend. I'd strongly recommend taking Ms. Wiser.

Fairly easy class. Activities were a little tricky but then some are really easy. Open book on everything but the timed quizzes require some studying. Not enough time to flip through the notes. Great communication. I recommend this online class with Wiser.

I originally signed up to take Brightman, and was very dissappointed to see it wasnt him the first day of class but she is great. She was very concerned with the students learning the material. She made it alot of fun too. She also was very understanding with personal matters and circumstances that may cause you to miss class or whatever.

she's easy, but she went too fast with the notes. u can get her notes on online. she only gives out 3 tests throughout a semester, but she has quizzes online, if u do well on her quizzes u should be fine. but need to study alots.her tests are hard.

She is pretty straight forward and good for AP2 lab. She goes by the printed notes and then you can get her notes online, which also help. I think she's pretty simple and she's a really nice woman too--down to earth.

She is a very very nice teacher, yet she informs you to study all hundreds of her notes & the whole book for the exam. Then she will test you on meticulous details that were not in her notes. I love science but was very stressed by her class. She is fair but is unclear as to what she will ask on her exam.

Had Brightman for lecture and Wiser for lab. Loved them both! Wiser likes asking for functions, so pay attention. But you're supposed to know this stuff anyway, right? Was worried going into the class... halfway through now, and I love her! She will help you more than most professors if you're putting forth an effort.

I found professor Wiser to be a very good teacher. The weekly lab quizzes were generally pretty easy and the practicals were the same types of questions as the quizzes. Just as a note the last science class I took before this one was high school biology in 1994 so I wouldn't necessarily say that a strong science base is needed to do well.

Had Wiser for Lecture & Lab. I feel prepared for A&P2 but more importantly feel I got a good grasp of the material needed for nursing school. She explains things very clearly. It's A&P, not a BS comp class so yes you're going to have to study everyday, and be sure to use the study room 145 after class to review for labs & lect. Great Professor

Great Professor. Had for A&P I&II. Lecture exams come straight from the notes she provides. Lab questions are straight from the lab manual. Study, use the study room, come to her "lunch bunch" when you can and you'll be fine. By far, my favorite professor at SPC.

Wiser, is my favorite instructer, so far. You have to pay attention in lecture, she talk really fast. Now, she will stop the class to make sure you understand. She gives 4 exams, I got a "B" this time, it was fast pace for me. She keeps you interest with her jokes and life. She is very helpful, even in class. I had actually grown attach to her.

She is a funny instructor. She's good at what she does. What I like about her is that when someone asks her a question and she doesn't know it she's not ashamed of telling them so, unlike some instructors just blurt out anything they want. She is funny and she puts powerpoints online which makes it easy for review or individual study.

I had her for anatomy 1 and 2 she breaks things down to relate them to you. Shes funny and cracks jokes especially on the guys but its all good. If you go the class before the test she will make a flow chart of everything that will be on the test and what you should know. Best teacher I have ever had. Mrs. Wiser is a quality professor who prepares you for health career. She has great notes and provides an in class review for each exam, tells you exactly what to know, very clear. I enjoyed her class and would recommend her, she drops the lowest test grade, and you just need to study the material you will suceed if you do.

Her Lab is easier than lecture. Lab-3 practicals & 10 questions quiz each week at beginning of lab. Lecture-3 tests & final exam. Lecture tests are not simple. There is no extra credit. Hands down the best proffessor i've ever had. This is NOT a guaranteed A by any means, but she puts the information out there and has a GREAT Passion for teaching and the subject matter.

Mrs.Wiser is a great teacher. She goes over everything in a way you will understand. But there is a lot of material to go over which makes the class really hard. Just study.... a lot. Three tests plus an exam. She makes all the notes you need, so you just have to print them offline. Her tests are no joke. So y ou have to stay on top of the material

Great professor! A lot of material is covered but if you study her notes and really study for the test (not just the night before the test) you will get an A. She provides you all the tools to succeed in both her lecture and lab. In this class you get out of it what you put into it!

Don't take her. She goes out of her way to MAKE SURE her tests are tricky figure out. Gives you way too many things that are similar to choose from on tests, but in class gives you childish examples making you think she might actually want you to do well. I studied like crazy, but that doesnt matter to her. Dont take her!!! All about the tricks!

She explains everything very well and shes very approachable incase you have any questions. I took professor Wiser for A&P 1 and 2. She is amazing. Very engaging in lecture, will have side conversations with the class without getting off topic and still makes sure all material is taught. She'll let you record her lecture. In lab she is very cler on what she wants and will clarify with you if needed. One of the best teachers I've had.

Okay, well... She is a brilliant woman who knows the body like the back of her hand. If you want a challenge then you should definitley take this class. You must study. hard. Sometimes the questions on her test tend to be a bit tricky. She is a great person but i will be taking someone a bit easier considering I need to get an A for nursing.

Ahh Wiser is GREAT!! Take her!! She makes class fun & interesting. Quizzes are weekly which help with grades in the end of the semester. 3 practicals, hands out lab manual she and others made and it helps tremendously. No tricks at all. Easy class if you study but she makes it so fun, you'll enjoy studying!

I only had Prof. Wiser for my lab and she was hands down the BEST A&P Lab Instructor at SPC. Better than Brightman, YES I SAID IT lol. If you can get her, take her! You will truly understand the material to be successful in your major, not just reciting info for a test.

While Wiser is well versed in the subject, she will almost always use the entire class time. Even if that means 45 minutes of BS-ing in the beginning of class. She is clear on what you need to know for the test but she has an issue with pronunciation. Almost every class she would pronounce something completely wrong, which is quite annoying.

She is one of the best professors I have ever had, I am taking her again for Anatomy & Physiology II. I would recommend taking her for lecture and for lab. She is very approachable, cracks jokes, gives tips, and uses examples to help memorize & understand material. Class says you need books, but I have not opened any of the books and I have an A.

Dr. Wiser should stop teaching A&P and teach professors how to instruct. She made me a better teacher! Even though you have to study, the lectures help so much with the content. I had her for both A&P classes and wish I could have taken her for the lab.

Professor Wiser was great. I recommend taking her, but make sure you have time to study. She gives quizzes every week, but only 3 exams the whole semester which count for most of your grade. She gives you everything you need to know in handouts so you know exactly what to study. I highly recommend taking her!

Took prof Wiser on a whim for BSC2085L but I ended up loving her. She took her time to teach you what you needed to know for quizzespracticals, and when studying correctly, you will pass with an A. She also gives a couple extra credit opportunities plus always adds bonus questions onto the practicals (unlike Brightman). Wiser Brightman for Lab.

Wiser has become my all time favorite teacher. She is so helpful, truly cares about her students and wants them to pass. She does everything in her power to help us succeed in A&P! Took her lab class and loved it! Honestly wish I took her for lecture as well. Very clear, serious attitude about the subject. Helps and stays after class to answer questions and is extremely forgiving if she sees that you are studying and paying attention. Honestly the best A&P teacher on campus. Be lazy however, and she won't be as forgiving.

Professor Wiser is hands down the best professor I've ever had. She makes anatomy & physiology so easy. Which is honestly a difficult course with all the memorizing. She offers extra credit on every exam, drops the lowest quiz and exam grades, makes color coded charts and uses a lot of silly mnemonic devices to understand the material easily.

Her grading criteria is very clear, and does not go off the subject when teaching. Her lectures are clear and precise, even with material that is thick. She keeps the tone of the room light hearted, and will not overwhelm her students with unneeded jargon. She is accessible, and will take her time with any student who does not understand.

Def recommend Prof Wiser for A&P I and II and lab. Teaches well while still maintaining a humorous tone. Gives helpful mnemonics to remember things. Always open for tutoring or help during office hours. Class itself requires lots of studying and extra effort, but she provides enough materials/study guides for you to do well.

In her online class, quizzes open book, It is generally easy since you know what exactly you must know before the practical's (involves memorizing her photos and descriptions). Downside is she uses low quality photos of ancient cell models, why she can google better photos of things I don't know. Her notes are also confusing, and disorganized.

Mrs. Wiser is a great professor. If you study the lectures, videos and notes you'll do fine. If you want to excel in the course, you will need to understand some of the intricacies of the systems laid out in the material because the quizzes can be technical. The course is quiz and test heavy, but her grading system is very clear!

When taking Professor Wiser's course during the pandemic, she was so thoughtful and an amazing teacher! Her lectures helped me remember the course material. She dropped test questions that the majority didn't get and added points to our tests! She let us make a cheat sheet for proctored tests and our FINAL EXAM!! Amazing professor.

I took this professor twice, with a mix of online and in person. AP1 lecture online, lab F2F. currently almost done AP2 online L/Lecture. Clear grading and dates, you don't buy the textbook as all material is provided in powerpoints, notes, fill in sheets, follow along video. extra credit and notes allowed, some open book. 10/10 recommend

She is SO smart and makes lectures interesting and understandable. Her class is pretty fast-paced with lots of information. Study hard, go to class, and get to know her. She works with you and gets to know you and makes herself available to anyone who needs help. SO sweet and you can totally tell that she is passionate about what she does.

Professor Wiser is hands down my favorite.She gives thorough recorded lectures that are broken up into mostly 30ish min each.She provides a fabulous power point, notes and a fill in study guide. Never once cracked a book for A&P1,lab, A&P2,lab.Made an A in each class. I found her classes interesting, mnemonics helpful & extra lecture tidbits cool.

Professor Wiser is absolutely amazing! She responds quickly to email questions and will meet with you to explain anything you have questions about. I had her for lab and lecture. Her videos are great at explaining information, and you can watch them repeatedly. I am taking her for A&P 2 as well. I have already recommended her to friends.

I would take Wiser again (I am for lab 2) but STUDY if you want to pass this class. The quizzes due weekly are all open note based on her lab notes but you will need to know the lab notes/images to pass the heavily weighted practicals. Very sweet teacher and usually ends about an hour early instead of the 3 hours as listed.

I cannot say enough about my experience in her lab. She made A&P 1 and 2 easy and enjoyable. She makes it clear what needs to be studied/what will be on the test, and her lab guides are easy to navigate but also packed with helpful info. All grading comes from a quiz for every chapter (about 10) and 3 practicals. 100/10 professor.

She's available for questions/concerns & wants students to succeed. She provides all notes and power points. It's not difficult to keep up with the class. The weekly quizzes are open notes, as well as the first exam and FINAL (which is actually optional depending on your grade). She's highly recommended so take her if you can. Just stay focused!

Professor Wiser is a great teacher. I also find the lab guide worksheets she posts on the course content very helpful because it's easier for annotation and guides me on what content we need to learn and be successful in the class instead of writing out my own notes.

I loved professor wiser, she was so easy to understand. I toke her for both my lecture and lab and passed. I understood so many things as soon as I ended the semester off, officially upset she will not be doing AP anymore because I believe everyone should get a chance to take it with her.
