Great teacher...reallly knows his stuff and very funny....big lecture class with basic tests ..worth taking

This class is as easy as you make it. His tests come DIRECTLY, almost word for word from his lectures. If you study your notes...or someone elses;) you will pass! He is funny to!

Dr Albright is a very laid back teacher (shorts and flip flops every day) Very interesting guy with good stories to tell and actual experience to back up what he's teaching. Don't waste your money on the book. Tests come straight from lectures. Try and get in his lab if you can, because he reviews there and goes through everything you need there.

Great teacher, probably one of the best I have had at UNF. He is passionate about science and makes the class bearable to sit through if you really dont care about any of the material. Very laid back and understanding.

He was the best science teacher ive ever had. Laid back and easy to understand. if you have him for lab also its very fun because you can actually talk to him about things outside of school. one time these two girls saw him at a party they were at and it was the funniest but coolest thing ever that he would go somewhere. i suggest him greatly.

I hate science, but after having him as a prof, I've grown to like it a bit. He's fun to watch, because he's so into the subject. He makes jokes, that most people don't get at 1st, so it's even funnier. He talks fast, but tries to write everything down to make it easier. Simply, he makes the lectures more fun than they usually are. You'll like him.

Amazing! He's so funny and he makes the class really interesting. You should try to take him for lab. I had Nelson that that wasn't a good choice. He can be kind of rude and you never get out early. I hear Albright has a quick and fun lab. Definitely take him!!!

Professor Albright is very thorough in all of his lectures. His tests come straight from the notes that he gives and the purchasing the text book is really not necessary. He's extremely in love with his field and you can tell by his enthusiasm for everything that comes out of his mouth. He respects his students greatly. Very flexible. I loved every minute of his lectures and his labs. If you fail this course you're just not trying.

Wow, best professor I've had at UNF. Seriously, I would take any class he taught. I took Earth Science to satisfy the gen ed science credit and after the semester I wanted to be a paleontologist.

I love Dr. Albright! Go to his office hours and he will give you a study guide which is practically the test word for word. He makes earth science interesting and has a GREAT sense of humor. He draws cute dinosaur pictures in his notes on the diffrent dinosaur ages. He wears flip flops and tshirts to class so you can tell hes very laid back!

Had him for lab. One of the greatest teachers I ever had. The teacher I had for lecture was horrible so I would bring my notes to Dr. Albright and he'd review them with me. Labs are fun, his teaching style is fun. He used a slinky and a jump rope to explain earthquakes to me. You'll learn a lot in lab. Wish I had him for lecture...

Science is my worst subject, but he made this class very interesting and enjoyable. I would recommend him to anyone. The best professor I have had since I have been at UNF.

Coolest professor ever. You'll have a lot of fun in his class. He's one of the most chill professors around and likes to have a lot of fun with the subject. Attendance isn't mandatory, but you'll definitely need notes because the tests come straight from the notes. Get him for lab as well and you won't regret it.

I had him for earth science lab and he is a really good teacher! he knew our lecture teacher sucked so he would take the time to teach us the material again that we needed for lab. He wants his students to understand the material and will make you keep on asking questions until he know you understand it! his lab was alot of fun too!

I WISH I would have had him for my lecture, Albright was my lab prof. and he was excellent! You can tell he really enjoys his job and is eager to help the students understand the course material. The quizes are super easy and I'd definitely recommend him, especially for Earth Science Lab!!

Definitely one of the best teachers I've had at UNF. I took him for earth science (lab and lecture) and a small honors class. He's easy to understand and very helpful. Just be sure to take notes and attend EVERY class on time. If you have an interest in paleontology, he's the guy to talk to!

Im not interested in science at all & I loveddd his class. It was extremely interesting and you can tell he is passionate about it. He is also famous so you should totally take the class so you can watch his videos from discovery channel. deff take this class!

Took him for lab and MacGibbon for lecture. If it weren't for him I WOULD NOT have passed the horribly structured lecture. The labs are fun and very interesting and he's always open to help. Lab always gets out at least an hour and a half early. Funny how the lab was my favorite class I took this semester and the earth science lecture was my least.

Dr. Albright is a fabulous teacher. He explains concepts quickly and clearly, and made the class fun. He relates to the students and is very friendly. I definately suggest his lecture and lab to everybody, especially together.

I wasn't too sure about him early on, partly because I thought he lost patience if we didn't understand. But as the class progressed, I truly fell in love with how he taught. Totally stimulated my interest in the course and will push you to do well because he wants u to learn.. Take him! Don't be afraid to ask questions and go to him before a quiz

Beyond amazing. This was really the only class I looked forward to every MWF. He writes on the board so attendance is key to get the notes since he doesn't use blackboard or the book. Lecture is always fascinating due to his easygoing, fun, and humorous attitude. Love this guy...highly recommend, you won't be disappointed.

I have him for Lab and he is FABULOUS! I wish I had him for lecture too. He makes the material UNDERSTANDABLE and actually cares if you understood what you did that day in class. He's got a good sense of humor and he's personable. Take him! You won't regret it at all!! He's my favorite professor this semester

Dr. Albright rocks. No pun intended. He knows the material so well bc he's a national geographic researcher! Do not buy the book, you don't need it. He writes the notes word for word on the board and thoroughly explains everything. That's all that's on the tests! SHOW UP. Really great professor! Definitely recommend him.

professor albright is the best no questions asked i really enjoyed his class i too the class simply for gen ed but if he taught any other subject i will be in them. classs is not mandatory but i reccommend becuz he is old school writing on the board type and the test come from what he says and writes in class. LOVED THIS CLASS AND I LOVE ALBRIGHT

Professor Albright is a great teacher, he is really funny and tries to make lectures as interesting as possible. Attendence isn't mandatory but test questions come directly from his notes, he didn't use the book what at all. Tests weren't hard but you really have to pay attention the eve the smallest details he gives you. I would take him again!!

Dr.Albright is SO awesome!!!! Totally relaxed, often cancels class for no reason at all. His lectures are entertaining and incredibly interesting. Don't even bother with the textbook, the tests come straight from the lectures so definitely go to the classes. Would totally take him again!

BEST PROFESSOR EVER!! He is so laidback and he really knows how to teach. He's down-to-earth, funny, easygoing,cool, and really nice. He gets us completely. You don't need the book. He is passionate about the subject and grades solely on Tests. The tests are easy if you attend class and they are all from the notes. Deff take him!

TAKE HIM if you don't mind going to every class. Attendence isn't mandatory but tests are strictly on class lecture and are the sole determiners for you grade. He doesn't read his material off of powerpoint like most profs which will keep you attentive. He has a great personality. If you have his lab he'll be sure to know your name.

His teaching style is enjoyable and his notes are easy to follow. He does not take attendance, but the tests are based solely on his lecture in class. The final grade consists of five test grades and the final exam is simply the last grade in the class instead of a cumulative exam. I had Nelson for lab and he matched up with Albright's lecture.

Take HIM! I modeled my schedule around this class for the Fall and was not disappointed. 5 easy exams from lecture notes, don't bother w/book. If you have the option to take him for LAB, do so as well. You will actually do better on the exams for the large lecture. Overall he sets the bar for other Prof. to follow. I just wish he taught business.

TAKE HIM!! I made saved my notes and scheduled my classes in order to make sure I had him for both lab and class. He's extremely helpful, makes it interesting, 3 hour lab only lasts about an hour. As long as you show up to lecture and take notes you're fine for the tests. BEST PROFESSOR I'VE EVER HAD.

One of my favorite teachers. I would recommend him to anyone. He goes and digs up dinosaurs so he makes class interesting with his anecdotes. Plus he's just a cool guy. As long as you go to class and take notes, go to the lab and do the work, and actually study for the tests you'll do fine. And enjoy the fact that you get to hang out with Barry.

Hes a GREAT professor. He is super clear. There is four tests and they are all around 70 questions and super easy if you study the notes he gives you. He doesnt beat around the bush and he tells you exactly what is on the exam

The most enjoyable and humorous of my professors; every class was something to look forward to. The content is also always very interesting. Only grades are test but they're a breeze, did not use the book at all (for Earth Science).

The best professor at UNF he will sit down with you at his office hours and literally tell you what will be on the test. If you study your notes, which there arent a lot of, you will get an a also if you get an a on all the tests you dont have to take the last one. Attendance is not mandatory at all but i loved him so much that i went.

Professor Albright is clearly very passionate about his subject and keeps the class engaging with stories and relevant facts that encourage curiosity in the topic. He does not use powerpoint or Blackboard which means you have to go to class. Take notes on whatever he writes on the board, because it will be on the test.

Professor Albright knows this subject and is very good at teaching it, he is very helpful. You cannot miss a lecture if you plan on passing this class as his test come straight from your class notes.

Dr Albright is a great teacher and I recommend him for anyone taking earth science. He is there for you and willing to help you out, just go to class and make sure you take notes. If you study the notes its an easy A. if you skip some classes and dont take notes expect a C.

UNF is lucky to have Dr. Albright. He is not only an expert in his field, but also an incredibly clear and engaging professor. My only regret is not taking him for the lab portion as well.

By far my favorite professor at UNF. He is super sarcastic and witty- which is nice to have in long lectures. His exam questions come STRAIGHT from notes, and in the exact order he lectures. He writes everything up on the whiteboard and rarely does he ever stray from notes. Book not necessary. GREAT PROFESSOR. Take him if given the option!!

Barry is the man! Very knowledgable and passionate about the subject. He has four tests, which are taken directly from the lecture notes. Had online homework too, nut only graded for completion. Albright and his class made me want to major in Earth Science. Get an A on the first three tests and you get to skip the Final. Highly Recommend Albright!

Very easy if you actually study, he gives you the exact notes and makes his test straight from the notes. Start studying when he announces test and you will be fine. Loves when people go to his office hours

I attended every lecture and still found his tests to be difficult. Some of the questions aren't in the notes at all which is frustrating. However - PLEASE take the opportunity to go into his office hours. He will spend the time with you to go over your notes and basically outline the test for you. All it takes is a little effort on your part.

Very knowledgeable on all subject matter, made learning interesting. Sometimes cracks jokes :) However, there is no canvas/blackboard, so must email for grades. 5 exams, very strict on cell usage. Most importantly - all notes handwritten during class, so if you skip, you'd better get them from someone else. Test ?s come directly from notes.

Albright is great. If you get As on all the tests you don't have to take the final. No bb or canvas. There is hw on connect that literally doesn't count for anything, if I could go back I would ask him if it was necessary to even buy. It is impossible to do well in this class without spending a lot of time memorizing the notes.

GO TO CLASS. if you don't go, you will fail. Tests are literally taken from the notes. As long as you either attend class or get good notes from someone else and study, you will be fine. He knows his stuff and the class was really great.

Hands down the best teacher I have ever had. He is a really nice guy and I have never enjoyed a class so much. He has a lot of enthusiasm and it is contagious. I am not usually an A student but he made me want to learn everything he said. After this class I considered changing to a geology major.

A great teacher and a great person! He is very laid back but cares about how your doing. He seems to always have an open door, he will answer questions and is flexible when dealing with a problem (the book, making it to lab, ect.) You can tell that he really likes his job!

This was a great class because Albright is an awesome professor! He really knows what he is talking about and will use his experience in the field in his lectures. He is pretty funny too. The only things graded are a few exams that come straight from the notes given in his lectures. Attendance is not mandatory, but necessary to pass the exams.

Lots of online (Connect) homework. Hand-writes notes on the board instead of powerpoints. Funny and helpful if you seek out the help, but his tests aren't easy and there isn't much extra credit, so get help early! Over all, not bad for a lecture hall class.

He makes Earth Science interesting, which was something I didnt think was possible before taking his class. Your grade is made up of 4 of 5 big tests but everything you need to know he writes on the board during lectures. Because of this, its important that you show up to each class or have someone take good notes for you. I highly recommend!

All the tests are on information covered in class, lectures arent boring and hes a funny guy. he gives you all the information you need to know for the test so you just have to look over it. online homework is only used at the end of the course if youre grade in borderline. if you did the homework he will give you a B+ in stead of a low B

Rewrite your notes word by word to prepare for the tests. Good lectures but they are very in depth. If you skip class make sure to get the notes from someone or you wont pass. NOTES ARE LITERALLY THE TEST! TAKE GOOD NOTES!

Very smart guy and gives really good lectures. The class size was pretty big but he still made them feel involving. Goes over the material very clearly and you can tell that he knows what he's talking about. Very nice guy and will answer any question you ask. He's also really funny and isn't afraid of saying he doesn't know the answer to a question

Albright has been one of my favorite professors since attending UNF. He is passionate about his work and cares for his students. The class is based solely on tests. However, if you do the homework and you are borderline on your grade he will bump you up but only if you do all the homework. The first 3 tests are hard, but the last 2 I passed with A.

Albright is awesome! If you show up to class, take notes, and study you will be completely fine.

If you show up and study for the 4 exams he gives, you're guaranteed an A or a B

100% of your grade is tests. He also gives you all of the material for the tests on the board while he lectures. If you literally write what he writes and study it you will get an easy A. I got a B+ because I didn't study for the first test, but I got A's on every other test. Awesome guy with some cool stories.

Professor Albright is great, super funny, and engaging. He clearly lays out exactly how to pass and all you need to do is take notes on every lecture. HIS TESTS ARE HIS NOTES (he literally told us that).

I would recommend anyone to take Albright's class time and time again.He's one of those teachers that WANT to see you succeed.I failed my first exam and after I reached out for help and studied with the active recall technique, I passed every exam with flying colors. His classes are all lecture heavy, so attend every lecture as they are informative
