Explains well, got an A, but be ready for lots of homework, team project besides in class midterm and take home final. He knows his stuff and can get the concepts across, but need time for homework and project. He's kinda funny too-good for a Stats class!

Math was my greatest fear until I met BEARry (A's all the way). His lectures were easy to follow along and the assigned teamwork problem solving exercises were very effective in helping to master the subject. Barry's unique sense of humor created a relaxed learning environment. Math became fun and easy!

Im disappointed that he's not teaching mth 65 fall term or at SE. he made college math look so easy. there were some hard times, but over all he was a very good first impression. I hope he lives a long time.

Barry is a good teacher. His explanations are well-organized and clear. Doesn't use overhead but his handwriting on the board is very legible. He does not cover all material in the text. My one complaint is that he doesn't review prior material covered unless lots of students express that they had problems with homewwork.

Testament to Barry, I went to PCC part-time for 3 years. Barry is the only teacher I remember from my PCC days, he made me love stats. I graduated last spring from PSU with a double major (stats and accounting).

Barry is one of the best instructors in any discipline at PCC. He makes good use of class time, his boardwork is easy to read, and he is so understanding. I took him for 60 and 95. The tests are easy if you've done the homework. If he makes a big deal of something during a lecture - IT WILL BE ON A TEST. God bless him.

Great teacher who only gives a couple quizzes throughout the quarter. Very flexible, even with late work. He's very helpful and is great at explaining problems! I only wish he was teaching 111C next term so I could take him again.

Math has never ever been my thing. To be honest, it never will be. But Barry helped me get through it and really showed how important it is. He's a great human being too. He went through some personal issues during my time in his course, and the class really worried about him and rallied around him. That showed to me the type of person he is.

Barry presents the curriculum well but if you really want to learn the curriculum forwards and back and be graded based solely on how well you can independently do the math, he's not the teacher for you. I got an A and I don't feel I deserved it because I don't know it all as well as I possibly could. Do all the work, understand it mostly-- an A.

I honestly took Barry's class because I'm terrible at math and I heard he was an easy teacher and I just needed an easy A; however, I ended up actually learning ALOT and I appreciate his patience and clarity and positive attitude. I feel more prepared for future math classes now that I have the basic tools to understanding math.

Out of all my math teachers in life, which is roughly 12 in all, Barry has been the only one to translate the language of math into language I can actually understand. He has a great sense of humor and can bring light to the hardest subject! I highly recommend this instructor for every level of math. He truly knows his stuff and how to teach it!

Barry is fun with a great sense of humor. He does know his math and boy, does he translate it well! He doesn't want his students stressed, so he has short tests and assignments that are mildly difficult. He allows a 8X5 paper of notes for his exams. He truly is an amazing MATH INSTRUCTOR. I can say that this man is the best teacher I have ever had. He relates the math lingo into something so beautiful to my ears. This teacher actually cares that his students pass and he explains everything and doesn't expect you to remember everything from your previous classes...he explains the why and how very well!!!! If you don't do well in math and need a great teacher, take him!

I took math 60, 65, 95 and drove to MHCC to take 105 with him. I'm horrible at math and he explains it very well.

I took Mth 95 fall term and earned an F. I took Barry winter term and earned an A. He is clear, concise and intends for for students to pass his class. As a math phobe, I never felt overwhelmed or stressed. He deserved a hug at the end of each class....just know that the statement "to infinity and beyond" makes him a little annoyed! LOL

This teacher is amazing. I have never been good at math and he taught me a way I can learn it and be successful. I love this teacher and I would never take anyone else. I am almost done with math and I wish I wasn't because I am going to miss this guy! He knows how to teach you math in a way you understand. Doesn't overload you with work either!

Wonderful teacher! I can't stand math and its always been difficult for me but Barry makes it easy to understand! He offers extra credit which is great! His quizzes are short and you may have a page of notes front and back for all of them! He is funny and I enjoyed going to class each day! :)

Awesome teacher, made class super easy and entertaining. He gives quite a bit of group work, and quizzes often, but they're easy. He also grades homework and is very understanding about turning things in late, so long as you have a good explanation and aren't a repeat offender.

I hated math before I had him as an instructor and he made it so easy to understand. Tests are short and you can use a whole page of notes. Only about 30 problems of homework are assigned each week. Take him!

I'm not a numbers guy so math has always been hard.Edwards concepts are easy to understand & he is patient.I had family emergency and he let me turn in late work. 95 is intense,hard, & moves very fast.Notes allowed on tests-2of4 quizzes takehome.I learned lot from making the notes thru organizing them.Great guy,great prof.!My first A in math ever!

If you are struggling take Barry's class. Lectures are step by step very clear. He is available an hour before class and always has an question and answer portion. If u suck at taking test, but do all hmwk, grp wk, extra credit, u will pass. Take him he will build your confidence.

I first encountered Barry at MTH60 and stuck with him through MTH 95. I terrified by the fact that I have to take my next math class with another instructor. Barry has great lectures, he's understanding, and is always open for questions. My #1 recommendation for MTH 20,60,65,and 95.

Barry is a good teacher with a big personality. He is incredibly flexible and easy going. You can turn in assignments whenever, due dates seem to be more of a suggestion. Which is good and bad. He explains things well and will answer any questions. If it worked with my schedule I'd take class with him again but won't go out of my way to do so.

I took Math 60 and 65 with Barry, Excellent instructor, I know I would not have made it through both classes without him, his style of teaching is exactly I needed! Really great professor. The grading is straight foreword, the material is explained with lots of examples. So this class is good for tactile learners. Participation is very important so if you dont show up it's your funeral.

I absolutely hated math all throughout high school, and still do. However, Barry makes it easy to understand not only the material, but makes solving complex equations less stressful. I am definitely taking his class next semester, and I would highly recommend this class to anyone who is struggling in math or has a hard time understanding it. :)

Since I consider myself to be pretty good at algebra before even taking the course, this class was an easy A. I found his lectures to be pretty boring, but he seems to be a pretty funny individual and cracks a few jokes. Assigns homework every week, but gave us about a week to finish it. Gives a lot of time to do quizzes and tests. Great teacher!

I took Barry class for math 20,60,65,95 he is very simple. Works in groups that are worth 10 points extra credit is worth 15 points Homework is worth 5 points . two take home quizes are worth 25 one in class quiz is 25 final is worth 50

I had heard so many great things about a teacher named Barry Edwards. So I took his class. Wow! Best math teacher ever! He is clear, funny, helpful, and he always answers all questions clearly and makes sure you know the material. I've never felt so comfortable asking questions. He is a super smart and funny dude.

Makes math fun. Helps those who don't understand and he will do his best to help answer any questions you have. Super nice guy. Took him for all of my math classes so far and if I have to take any other ones, I will definitely be emailing him to see if he has any openings. Took this class with another teacher and failed. Took this class with Barry and passed with an A! I am so so happy I had his class, he is super sweet, likes to joke around, stays on topic, is clear and very easy going. We had some quizzes and tests but as long as you study a bit, theyre very easy. We had group work every class and homework weekly.

I loved Barry! There was a couple of times where I couldn't finish my homework for personal reasons and he always let me turn it in the next day. The quizzes were almost always group activities and the tests were not too difficult. There was a good amount of homework every week but the lectures were very informative as well as the online textbook.

I have NEVER had a teacher that was able to meet various teaching styles to fit the everyone's needs like Barry can. He doesn't move forward until everyone is confident. Math is my weakest subject & he gave me a new confidence/appreciation for Math. If you struggle, he will save you. Lots of humor, tips, tricks & true compassion. TAKE HIS CLASS!

Barry was such a kind and patient teacher. I was nervous to be taking a math class online but it was very flexible and gave me enough time to not be so in class anxious. There wasn't an overabundance of homework and he gave us plenty of time to stay on top of our work. 10/10

Barry Edwards is an exceptional teacher. Although I might not take from him again I would recommend him to a person just coming to PCC. Edwards prefers quantity over quality of home work so be warned!!! ( - I also found the text book was not helpful in the way that by the final exam I had forgotten what I was taught at the beginning on the class.

I am in this class currently. And I think Barry is a great teacher who cares about his students and their success. While he writes lots of notes on the white board for class, he makes some jokes from time to time. He also makes sure we understand the material. But be prepared for lots of homework that he assigns every week. It can be a lot.

All around a good choice for at least the course that I took. Understanding and not hard to approach. Thing of note is that there is a lot of calling on the "audience" so try to speak up occasionally to help keep things moving. If you're wrong, there's no issue. If you take this class seriously, it's not bad. Would choose again in the future.
