Outa all myt years in school, this teacher is by far my favorite professor ever. He was so willing to help ne student whenever they wanted. Key is to ask though. When you do ask him...he'll make sure u get that A on your paper or test.

Very easy classes. He hard to get enroll because his class gets filled up quick. Go to his office hours to have him look at your paper and your get an A in his class. My roommate took his class and got an A and he's stupid. So if he can do it. I could too.

He is SO FUNNY! Don't forget your books, b/c he checks, but you get points for bringing them. He explains everything and helps you if you ask. GREAT TEACHER!!

I really enjoyed this class. It was very laid back and I didn't have to stress a lot about the assignments. The courseload is about average for an English course, but he helps you along the way. I did learn a lot in his class, and I would most definately take him again.

Be careful! Edwards will rip you apart on essays. Do not take this class unless you like working with other people in groups. He will make you laugh, but he will also piss you off. BUSTED MY ASS for a B, and i am mad. Not an easy A.

I was told this guy was an EASY A. He's not. You have to work at it, but an A is very very possible if you set your goals early, and have regualr office appts. Super laid back dude, spiritual yet not a wierdo, OCDish, and probably smokes massive amounts of weed in his spare time. Eventhough this wasn't an easy A course, I'm glad I had him for it.

Never liked English classes before taking him, but he taught me a lot! I actually think about his teachings a lot now that I am in the business world and taking part in sending emails and other documents. He taught me how to keep my writings short and to the point. (Always remember the Grammer Hammer!)

Dr. Edwards is amazing! You must put effort in to achieve an A. Go do office hours, go to class, bring your stuff. Its not really hard. I'm not an A english student but I earned an A so it wasnt impossible like some english teachers.

Dr. Edwards was awesome! At first he came across as a really annoying guy, but once you're in the class for a week or so he grows on you. Make sure you come to class and get on his good side and you'll pass without a problem.

He was a wonderful instructor. I have had some very horrible experiences with English teachers in the past and was very reluctant to be taking another English course. Obviously, he is very easy. I recommend taking him twice a week, and it being your last class of the day simply because you always get out early. The only way you can fail is if you don't have him proofread your papers(which he fully changes for you to get a 100), and don't show up to class BUT TRUST ME you will love going to his class.

He is an ex-"hippy" although I still feel that he gets high. He is a very funny teacher. Every other word is man. Gives extra credit on every assignment and test. Would love to take him again.

This is professor is true serendipity to a student. He's not like some churlish professors i've had, subscribing to the gamut of subjectivity. He tells you what to do pretty much, there aren't any onerous assignments, just 75% format. If there is uncertainty with the format, Dr. Edwards will assist you. "Work efficiently" Good luck!

He really knows how to make an English class interesting. This was one of my favorite classes at Santa Fe. Dr. Edwards is so nice and truly cares about his students and wants them to succeed. "Hey man" is a phrase he uses quite frequently. He very much reminds me of Tommy Chong. Take this class, you won't regret it.

I was not looking forward to this class, but had to take it for my major. I ended up learning a lot and I highly recommend Dr. Edwards. He is a surprisingly tough grader in my opinion, but definitely a cool and fair guy.

Dr. Edwards is a GREAT English professor. He was funny and made class enjoyable. We had some written quizzes/tests and 3 writing assignments. He gives you time for several drafts and works with you closely to get it exactly right. I wish I took him for all my English courses! I recommend this class!

Very cool teacher. Class consisted of three main sections: drama (movies) , fiction (our class had "Maus") , and poetry (song lyrics). He explains exact outlines on how papers (3-4) should be written and if you follow it you should get an A just like me. Test over the main sections are easy if you read over what he says.

He is an amazing teacher, who is funny. I actually wanted to go to class, because it was so entertaining. However, it was also a great learning experience. The lessons are repetitive, but this is part of his teaching strategy. He repeats lessons so it becomes like muscle memory. He basically creates a formula to follow for English. Its smart

OMG he was my best professor. he was never late classes and extended classes. his teaching is very clear. If u follow what he says, it makes perfect score. i can say only "Do not miss any HW, essays, & exams." students use text book for read and write essays, but u can download from internet etc, so I think u dont need to buy text book.

This was an easy class. I love how he grades the essays. It helped me to learn what I was doing wrong like "word territory," and helped me remember to do MLA format, something my ENC1101 teacher didn't help me with. Take him if you can. :)

This class is completely amazing for those who do not want a work load! My first paper was on The Wizard of Oz. He makes class so easy and enjoyable to come to and often makes the same jokes which are always hilarious! ALWAYS getting out early, the longest class was 30min even tho scheduled for an hour and 15! It's a fun english class I enjoyed it

I honestly hate writing, but with this professor I loved it. His class is very simple once you get what he is expecting you to do.

Dr. Edwards is my favorite professor at Santa Fe. I took his 1101 class as well and I wish I could take other classes with him. Class lasts about 30 min, sometimes less. Assignment are easy and if you're a procrastinator like myself he is your man. I started assignments that I had weeks to work on 3 hrs before class, and I got A's on everything. You don't have to take lots of notes, and I was stoned half the time I was there. I especially liked his poetry exam. Easy A!

Extremely easy class. Papers are broken down into pieces to turn in so that they don't become overwhelming. He's extremely easy-going and never rude at all. Whenever papers are close to being due he makes himself available after class (which usually gets out early) to read yours and tell you exactly what to change to get an A.

I had Dr. Edwards for ENC.1101 and I am taking him now for ENC.1102. He is the best professor I have experienced so far. The required papers are simple and he gives so much info that they basically write themselves. He is extremely funny and laid back. All assignments are easy! No reason to score lower than an "A". LOVE his classes. So much fun!

One of my favorite Professors! He is very clear about his expectations and gives you multiple opportunities to go over your papers with him prior to final grade. If you are having difficulty with a paper his door, email etc is always open to get a better grade. Very understanding of student life and is invested in your success.

Attendance is a grade so it is mandatory to attend, I would recommend him to anybody that needs a better understanding on writing. He does look at your rough drafts before the finals are due, which is a huge plus in my book.

The only reason you need to attend class is because of the english departments policy, which he can't change. This class is SO easy though. His papers are only one paragraph, and you have weeks to do them. He lets you get in group to check if they're right, and he'll even check them himself. Best class I've ever taken. Hilarious guy.

HILARIOUS. Edwards is by far the most quirky, funny professor I've ever had. He is very clear on what he wants you to do. He really emphasizes about the top ten commonly made mistakes in writing, and I know that after taking his class I'm less likely to make those mistakes. If you're a serious student, theres NO WAY you won't make an A.

Barry Edwards has been my favorite professor by far. He makes these assignments so easy and gives you very clear outline of all assignments. The work itself is not hard nor tedious. He is very funny and cares a lot about the students and wants you to succeed. Professor Edwards is a must take english professor.

The easiest class you will ever take. I swear he only keeps you in class for 20 minutes and then lets you leave early. Only a few papers and they are only about 400-600 words. This is an easy A as long as you show up. Honestly, you should be able to get a 100% in this class--it is that easy.

If you make a mistake on your work or have to turn it in late, he is so lenient and gives many second-chances. Overall, wonderful professor. I will definitely be taking his ENC1102 class next semester.

I absolutely loved Professor Edwards! his class is seriously so easy and he makes everything that he wants from you so clear. I would recommend him to anyone, and he never kept our class longer than 20 mins everyday so that was a plus. There is two exams the whole semester and they are extremely simple.

Professor Edwards was such an amazing teacher ! He gives few essays that are all very simple as well as two research papers. There is no final only a simple quiz about English errors. He is very sweet and caring he gives you ample time to turn in essays for him to correct them before final grading.

Hands down the best English professor. Classes normally lasted about 20 minutes and all of the work was extremely simple. He will repeat himself dozens of times to make sure everyone knows exactly what to do. Probably the most relaxed man I've ever met. Make sure to laugh at his jokes, and bringing him a Snapple and tic-tacs wouldn't hurt either.

Best professor I have ever had! He is very specific and allows plenty of time to complete your work. He is also more than willing to help and answer any questions you have.

Down to earth and relaxed man. Easiest "A" I will ever get. No final exam, just a grammar mistake quiz. Very forgiving if you make mistakes. Classes are 40 min MAX; 25 min on average. There will be some easy essays that have very clear guidelines to follow. Follow them and you are good to go! Again, super easy "A" and peaceful atmosphere! Take him!

I had professor Edwards for 1101 and 2 and by far the best class ever. His class consists of three papers which he stays after class to help you fix your mistakes. No homework what so ever the final you guys go over the exact final the day before so it's very easy. EASY A.

Professor Edwards is a wonderful addition to Santa Fe College. He is easily accessible when additional help is needed. He wants you to be academically successful not just in his class, all your courses. I would definitely recommend taking his course.

Absolutely amazing and hilarious!

This is my first semester and he is actually amazing. As long as you do exactly what he wants pretty easy A. It is easy but very specific so make sure you take photos of everything he tells you to. Average class time is around 30 minutes so just do your work and you can always leave early. Hilarious person and actually cares for his students.

Professor Edwards is amazing. He wants to help you out. I definitely recommend staying after and him helping you correct your errors on your essays . You're guaranteed an A if you do that. He is so caring and loving. Classes are literally only about 25 minutes ! Which is a bonus

Professor tells you the exact corrections he wants you to make to get a 100. Very friendly and helpful. Don't expect a over hour class though, longest class was 40 minutes long.

He's really chill and helpful. There's only three exams over the semester which are REALLY EASY TO PASS. He reviews your essay and HE HELPS YOU UNTIL YOU CAN GET A 100 ON AN ESSAY! You have a limited amount of absences before letter grade drop. Expect a lot of free time because he releases class early.

Always lets us out of class in like 20 minutes, he gets right to the point. Tries to make everything as easy as possible, and makes jokes all class long. Gives a long time to submit assignments, and doesnt give that much penalty if youre late on one. So easy to pass his class, just show up and turn in all the work!

Amazing Professor never was in class for more than 30 minutes explains everything very well. Also, a super funny person really wants you to get that A he always tells you what you need to fix so you can get an A. Highly recommend him such a great person and a great professor he really cares about you and you just watch movies and write essay on it.

I LOVE HIM. Easiest college class you will take. Every class only lasted no more than 30 mins. You write an essay on a movie, but he gives you one paragraph a week to write for it. He explains everything. He is the sweetest man and I love his slogan, "I'm looking for an excuse to give you an A!" The final exam is 5 simple questions!! EASY A!

This professor had made it so easy to pass in his class. Showing up to class is a big part of your grade so it helps a lot with keeping your grade up. If you need help, he has his office hours or he even stays later to help and answer questions after class. He definitely wants everybody to succeed! He's very chill and laid back.

The easiest class I've taken in college. Professor Edwards's class is very easy. You watch movies and write a paragraph a week about the movie until your paper is finished. He will tell you exactly what you need to change for you to get a 100 so just ask him. There was only 3 papers we wrote when I took him and we got out of class early every day

Such a nice guy, even remembered my zodiac sign. He was super understanding and his assignments were really easy, just movie reviews. If you have any problems he's quick to help. I haven't been able to find another professor like him unfortunately. Definitely the best professor I've had so far. Took him Fall 2020

At first, you might think "This guy is a little boring", but he's actually a great guy. Full of jokes. EXTREMELY easy class. He just wants you to pass and learn something.
