I liked him. It was a lot of info to take in. He looks like that guy from There's Something About Mary...I think his name was Woogy.

Class is very...confusing, but he will explain it over and over again til everyone gets it. he jumps around a lot and goes off on tangents. However he is very helpful, his tests are easy, and he is a nice guy. His rule about assignments is that everything is due on the last day, so that is nice.

i thought the class was hard at first, but he got easier. he is very understanding and wants everyone to succeed. if you put in the effort, he'll do the best he can to help you with whatever problems you have. he does kind of jump around, take notes, he uses his own examples on tests. i'd take the class again.

Poulson was an easy professor for the general psychology class. The whole grade was three tests and one assignment so if you didn't study for the tests or go to class you were pretty SOL, but the tests were easy if you knew the material.

He's really helpful and works hard to give his students every advantage. The subject will be difficult to grasp for most people no matter who teaches it. He can be a little disorganized, but keeps his students well informed. It is essential to attend every class and do the homework. There isn't much leniency on that part.

He's really helpful and understanding. Class is fun and very social, he likes to get to know students. Make sure he knows your name by the end of the semester. All tests were text book and notes and about half we take home as well. So they we easy. Final was take home. Group project was easy, don't stress over it at all he'll help with it, just ask

Stats a really hard subject no matter who the teacher is. Dr. Poulson uses the computer programs which helps a bunch when doing assignments and the tests are pretty easy, since they are open book. If you have to take stats I would recommend him. I hate the subject but the teacher was great!

He was very helpful, but the course was not very easy. You have to plan and conduct a research project, and he is very understanding and willing to give tips. Good teacher overall

I loved Bart!! True if you really need structure don't take him. I was deathly afraid of taking a stats class and was so glad I took his class. He was awesome! Always willing to help if you didn't understand, and he is very entertaining-humorous. If you really want to learn he makes sure you do. Totally recommend him!!

Bart is an amazing teacher! When one gets to stressed out you know Bart's class is there stress free. I learned so much though, you must create execute and report on the finidings of an experimment. The kind of stuff you are actually going to need to know how to do in order to become a proffessional!

Fun and entertaining class; no acutal book required for class; took 2 open-book tests and had a major group project chosen from his list; Organization needs work but we all need to do it too

This was for BESC3010.I have never been good at math. I have a 98% and it is the day before the final exam. He has been very helpful in making it possible to get an A. Print off every quiz you take as these will be your study guides for the tests. Memorize them and get an easy A. He pretty much gives you the answers. He also gives extra credit.

I thought Bart was awesome!!! He was so fun and nice and friendly, and holy cow he's so helpful and accessible to students! How many professors give you their cell phone numbers and tell you to text them any time you have a question? Bart is awesome!

I took the online class and finished 5 weeks early. I loved how the course was set up so that you can go at your own pace and the all tests including the final are available in the testing center from day 1. Like people said it's pretty easy if you just study the quizzes for the tests you'll do fine and he gives a really good practice final too.

I took this class online during a 7 week summer block and I absolutely loved it. It was so easy to understand, and Dr. Poulson is so willing to work with you. He gives you every single opportunity to succeed. I was nervous about taking a 4 credit class in 7 weeks online but I passed with an A without any real effort. Take this class!

This was a hybrid class. Mix of in class and online. I LOVED BART! He makes stats interesting and teaches effectively. I hate stats but he makes it understandable. Just do the work and you'll be fine. Would suggest him in any case!

Easiest Stats class you'll ever take! Not a lot of math mostly theory. This class is for the SELF-LEARNER but he is definitely willing to help you if you need it. Everything you're tested on is tailored towards the final. The quizzes are like the study guides for tests. There are only 3 tests and that INCLUDES the final.DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!!!

I took this class online and passed with an A. Not too much math involved, but there are a lot of formulas to memorize. As long as you study/practice the material and make sure you know the quiz questions without having to look up the answers, you'll do fine. Make good use of the TA if you're struggling; the TA helped clear up a few things for me.

Stats is not an easy class to understand but Barton is a good professor. The tests were fairly simple and straightforward. You do have to really study to pass the class. He gives great video lectures and explains the topics really well. The homework is not hard and is really helpful.

Took this class online and loved it. Online classes were always hit and miss with me but this one was great. Very organized and as long as you followed the lecture videos and took the time to watch the reviews, you can breeze through this one. The tests are very similar to the quizzes so you are never surprised. I highly recommend this one.

I highly recommend Barton Poulson. Main reason is the videos he provides for each chapter of the book. The videos cover everything in each chapter plus it's easy to understand. This was a great online class. You could get it done as fast as you wanted. I finished the whole class in about 3.5 weeks and have over 100%! Follow his class structure and it's not too hard at all!

I hate statistics. I hate it, hate it, hate it. However, Poulson is such an amazing instructor! This was the best online course I have taken. It is organized very well, and there are videos he has made for every topic. He prepares you to succeed for the exams, and the practice final is a great resource for the final. Best math class I have ever taken. I'm not very good at it, but I passed this class with flying colors. He has so many things to help you succeed and understand and makes himself very available to you for any questions you have. I recommend this class 100% especially if math isn't your forte. You can get it all done early and be ahead if you want.

I took stats online and this was the best online class ever! Bart is so organized, grades quickly and consistently. Never changes due dates or expectations unless it will benefit everyone and his tests have all the same info that he gives in lectures. If you need to take this class take it from him online or in-person!

Bart is the man for stats at UVU. He gives clear feedback on assignments, will provide help to anyone that asks, and is very fair in grading tests. If you have to take stats take it from Bart.

Bart was fantastic! He was rather vague and sometimes a little overboard on the lecture videos we had. However, his class layout is simple and clear. The online quizzes will help you immensely on his tests. Bart is also there for you. While I was in the hospital he was able to help me out and stay caught up in class.

You have multiple chances to do the homework and get 100% and then 1 chance (if i remember correctly) to take the chapter quiz. Then, the Exams are taken in the testing center and are exactly like the quizzes/homework questions. I made flashcards of homework/quizzes, studied the concepts and never got below a 90%. Chances for Extra Credit - DO IT!

He has weekly quizzes that you are can take as many times as you want. Each chapter/week has a posttest that you can only take 1 time, but it is open notes and book. He gives you countless resources to do well in his course and his review videos are excellent. He provides question explanation videos and is easy to contact if you are having trouble.

Professor Poulson keeps it so you always know where you stand. You have to work for your grade but there is no mind reading or guessing how you are doing. He also provides ways for you to recover if you find you didn't do too well on the first exam, etc. Challenging but good!

Bart was invested in the subject and the performance of his students. He has lots of resources for you to use to succeed. As long as you do the homework, read the chapters, and watch the videos you will do well. He drops a few quizzes and lets higher exam scores replace past lower scores.

I loved taking stats from Bart. All class material is online so you don't need to go to class if you do everything online. Tons of resources available to help you succeed. 4 quizzes (with 5 questions) and a chapter post test are the homework for every chapter. They are pretty easy though if you read the text and/or watch the supplementary videos.

If you're going to take this class then Barton is the teacher to take it from! I took the Hybrid class and it was pretty easy and I was awful at Stats (1040). You don't actually need the textbook if you go to class! But if you don't go to class you'll need it! Loved this class!

Dr. Poulson cares about his students' success. He structured his entire class to make it easier on us. His own textbooks, lecture videos, review videos, etc. If you put in the work, you'll do well. You don't need the textbook if you just come to class (I took the hybrid). It's a super boring class unless you like stats, but Dr. Poulson is great.

He was a great person but I had a hard time following his way of teaching. I couldn't focus in class so I ended up not going and just watching the lecture videos online. Never used the textbook, just watched his videos and learned from the quizzes & posttests as well as his videos to explain those.

Watch his lecture videos for the new chapter each week, take the quizzes until you get 100%, which should prepare you to get 100% on the weekly post tests. He also has great exam review videos to watch before each exam to help prepare. It sounds like a lot of videos to watch, but if you put in the time to do so, you will receive a good grade.

He is FANTASTIC! His course is structured to help students learn and REMEMBER easily! His quizzes let students repeatedly practice throughout the semester to master the material. He constantly reviews early definitions and concepts, which keeps the material fresh. He doesn't teach unnecessary facts, and he has unparalleled resources for test prep!

Poulson's online class was awesome. You test in the testing center three times but he provides a study video.

Bart is a sincere and genuine person; I came to him with some mental health challenges mid-semester and he accommodated me beyond what I needed and was so encouraging. He wrote his own online textbook and it's cheap, comparatively, and easy to understand. Very responsive; gives out his personal cell number. Great experience for a hard subject.

Wonderful professor, very clear grading criteria. Gives extra credit opportunities. Make sure you study diligently and read the text. If you do those things there is no reason you shouldn't get an A or a B+. He makes himself very available and has excellent study tools from videos to online lectures and you don't need to buy the text book.

12 chapters, 4 quizzes per chapter, 1 postest per chapter. 3 tests, the third one being the comprehensive final. He has lecutre videos, quiz review videos, and test review videos. There is a practice final exam that can be taken for extra credit, questions on final are similar to the practice and he reviews each question in one of his review vids

This subject is tough but the professor made it as easy as it can be I think. You can tell he cares about students and their success as well as the subject hes teaching. I never had any issues, the course ran smoothly which is sometimes rare for an online class. As long as you do the works its not bad and you can pass!

Stats is a difficult (and boring) class/subject, but Barton is really helpful and provides a lot of resources to help you understand the material. Attendance is optional, but I would suggest going for the lectures and if you have questions. He wrote his own textbook for the class, so you can get all the info from there and the review videos

Bart is INCREDIBLE. He makes stats very doable and is there to help you succeed! He does everything he can in an online class to make getting an A possible (even gives you his personal phone number to text him with questions. I did a few times and he got back to me quick!) For a 4 credit class, the workload is amazingly light.

This subject is very difficult, but he does a great job of giving you ample opportunity to succeed in his class. No need to read the textbook if you watch the lecture videos. The only homework assignments are 4 quizzes per week, which are open note with no time limit and unlimited attempts. Extremely lax about late work, no penalties.

I was terrified to do stats online but Professor Poulson makes it incredibly do-able! Take your time, watch all of his videos, and repeat the material until you understand it. I need multiple explanations so I purchased a subscription from mathtutordvd .com which really helped! Take the quizzes and practice tests over and over and you'll do great!

I took this class in a hybrid format and really loved it. He sometimes got off topic in his lectures, but it was still nice to be able to come to class and clarify anything from the online lectures. Tests align with the quizzes and assignments as well. You can tell that he wants you to do well and isn't trying to trick you!

Great class! He has all of his lectures uploaded online and all assignments are online so even though I had a face-to-face class, I only went to class once and did the rest online with ease. Make sure to actually go through his online lectures, do the quizzes, and post tests. Tests are similar to those questions. (no open note tests)

This class taught by Poulson was very very easy. He does 12 chapters with videos to watch and quizzes to prepare you for tests. Uses Proctorio for tests online. Long review videos for tests and offers extra credit for study groups. Overall, he was a very prepared professor and made the class very simple.

10/10 would recommend. I took this class last semester with a different instructor, and failed. The way that Prof. P's class is set is extremely organized, easy to use and understand. He makes things very clear, and makes sure you know that he's available anytime for any question. If you like stats, or if you don't like stats; TAKE HIS CLASS!

Best professor I've ever had at UVU! Very organized and clear expectations. You can always get 100% on quizzes and he has videos explaining each question and answer. His lectures and reading are available so no need to purchase the book. There are 3 exams throughout the semester which are all multiple choice and similar to the quiz questions!

The way he had the class set up made it easy to go at my own pace. There are soft due dates so you can take the quizzes and post-tests at your convenience which is nice but don't take advantage of it since exams are due on the date so if you're late you will struggle. Definitely read the textbook and watch YT videos.

I love Prof Poulson! He is a great teacher and is incredibly understanding and helpful. I am TERRIBLE at math but I was able to get by fairly well. Online class was tricky, don't slack on studying. Go over the textbook, and watch all the lectures. TAKE THE PRACTICE FINAL over and over!! If you do all that, this should be a good class!

Poulson has online class teaching down to a science. He allows open-book quizzes, but closed book tests. My favorite thing about his style of teaching is 1) you can review the lecture videos as often as you want and 2) he has videos that go through the quizzes so you can learn why you got something wrong. Use all of the tools that he gives you.

I am not a math person but this was the 3rd Statistics class I have taken and it was the best one. This course was entirely online for me but Professor Poulson has online courses down to a science. There are quizzes each week but he gives thorough instruction and he is willing to help if you need to contact him. He explains things very well.

I appreciated the chance to complete the assignments early which allowed me to study more efficiently. He provides video reviews for quizzes & tests, which are closed to book & notes. 100% need to study hard & memorize in order to pass this class. Stats is a very hard class, but Professor Paulson made it passable. I struggled a lot with the material, but if I had to take it again I would choose Professor Paulson. He explains things very well and has helpful resources. Difficult course, great Professor.

Bart is OVERPREPARED. He has resources for everything, so even if you don't understand whats going on, you can watch the videos and he will explain it again. I never read the textbook, just watched his DataSense videos. The videos are long, but worth it. I had a C- the week before finals but was able to redo basically everything and pulled an A

I would take any class taught by Professor Poulson. I didn't open the book once, I just watched his youtube videos and the videos he made that you get with the textbook. No due dates except for tests, which was a great idea imo. The way he taught made it so easy to learn and made me interested in doing more with statistics in psychology.

Professor Poulson does his best to teach a hard subject. He makes the due dates flexible and has helpful videos for each chapter. However, a lot of the chapter test questions are not like the questions on the weekly quizzes, making the tests harder than expected.

He was super clear and gives tons of different resources for studying/ review. The best math (I took BESC 3010) teachers I've ever had!

His online class is very well built! Each chapter has short lecture videos. All 4 weekly quizzes have videos that explain the right answers. The weekly tests are fairly easy if you are actually learning the material. The exams aren't too tough. The textbook is easy to read. Math is not my strong suit and I was able to take a lot from this class.

Take his class! He is so well organized. Practice the quizzes over and over because they are the same questions on the test. He really puts so much work into making sure you understand stats and pass with a good grade. I hate math, but loved him as a teacher!

This was one of the best online classes I've ever taken. Barton is sooo clear on the assignments, grading criteria, the coursework, and tests. I finished this class with 101% and I feel like for a 5 credit hour class, it was a lot less work than some of my 3 credit classes, yet I learned so much.

I've never seen a professor do so much to make it possible to succeed. None of the assignments have fixed due dates, so you can do them whenever. He offers extra credit and curves exams. Do the practice questions at the end of each chapter; you'll see them again. It's possible to fall behind, but this class is about as easy as stats can be.

If you have to take stats, he is an excellent choice! I've been scared of taking this class since I started college; however, he teaches it as simple, and straightforward as it can get. Still a tough class, but he makes it doable. Take the quizzes and practice final many many times, and watch the review videos, and you should do fine on the exams.

Professor Poulson is so great. You can tell he is very passionate about what he teaches (he wrote his own textbook!) and gives you plenty of help to learn the material. This class you can work at your own pace and get done as soon as you want, but do need to stay on track with tests. 10/10 would recommend for behavioral stats.

I normally hate online classes because I don't learn anything and it's usually disorganized. I also normally never buy textbooks. However, this professor wrote the textbook for the class and it's actually a good book. I don't think you should have to pay $60 for it, but it is well done. Hard class, but I wouldn't have it done any other way.

There were five quizzes a week, four with five questions and one with ten. That was all of the assignments besides two midterms and a final exam. He was very nice when I asked for an extension and replied quickly. I feel like his recorded lectures prepared me for the tests well. He also offered extra credit opportunities including practice exams.

Extremely organized online course. Each chapter flows like this: Read chapter, watch chapter videos, take short chapter quizzes, watch quiz review videos, take chapter post test. Everything was put together by the teacher and all quiz, post test, and midterm questions will all read the same. Professor Poulson knows what he is doing.

This subject is hard, be warned. It's great that Prof. Poulson has written his own textbook to really grasp the material, and I highly recommend watching the coinciding lecture videos, they are very helpful. Due dates are not followed besides exams which are great for an online at-your-own-pace course. Reccomend

He is respectful of your time. When he says a module takes 6 hours, that's how long it will take. He really knows his course content and how to convey it. When something isn't clear, he's VERY responsive to texts or calls and is very responsive and helpful.

i loved taking stats from him! This is the only online math class I ever recommend people take. There is a lot of homework, but is kind of expected for a 4 credit class. His lecture videos are so helpful. The only thing I disliked is that some of his lecture videos are a bit dated on some of the questions he reviews for tests.

You are given every opportunity to get a good grade and are given so many tools to learn it's kind of crazy. The textbook is written by the professor and is really easy to understand. He's readily available via text almost ANY time. He made learning a difficult topic seem relatively easy. Really knows his stuff and genuinely cares that you actually understand the material. Instructs in small bites that make understanding the more difficult concepts, much more attainable and within reach. He's a very fair grader.

All online class. No interaction with the professor except for weekly announcements. Weekly reading, videos, and quizzes. Take this class if you want extreme flexibility. It was a good class and would take it again. If you are looking for an involved professor, don't take this class. Easy coursework though.

I love the way professor Poulson teaches; he lets students go at their own pace, but offers TONS of help through the process! He makes videos reviewing pretty much EVERYTHING on the quizzes and tests. Honestly, if you do not pass his class it is because you do not put the effort. He makes a hard subjest seem easy!

Professor Poulson provides chapter & quiz review videos to explain the course material. He makes himself available to his students as he wants them to succeed. Professor Poulson teaching style reaches many learning types. As someone with dyscalculia who has struggled with advanced math, he clearly explained concepts I struggled to grasp.

I took this online and it was set up perfectly! There were videos he made that go right along with the online textbook, and I used it to understand the info and do well on assignments! Tests were a little hard if you didn't remember the equations but overall not bad!

If you are not great at math, take POULSON!!!! He makes it simple and easy. He gives plenty of opportunity to truly understand the material and uses great examples in the textbook that he wrote himself. I was nervous to take stats... not remembering anything from an earlier stats class. But, he reteaches the concepts and it is easy to follow.

Prof. Poulson has setup his Stats class to be very user oriented. Professor Poulson would reach out to students and give us reminders for upcoming assignments or tests. The book is helpful and easy to understand. He cares about the success of his students. My one issue was the final, there were some topics that I did not feel prepared for.

Set my expectations for online courses so high. His lectures are clear, the concepts taught in lectures apply to homework and tests, and expectations are clear. Professor Paulson is quick to respond to any questions and genuinely cares about his students. I failed stats on my first try and I enjoyed it my second time around thanks to his course.

This class was a lot of information but the Dr. Poulson lays it out it is easy to digest and understand. he is available to help students when needed and the textbook is inexpensive and 100% worth it. While this flexible-scheduled course was really informative and customized by Bart Poulson, and it did teach me a lot!! I think the final exam was pretty difficult. I can't say the whole course prepares you for the final, as the final was so much more difficult than the whole easy/ self-paced class.

Professor Poulson makes stats easy to grasp. His online videos and textbook are super helpful. While the final was challenging, Unstuckstudy and the class materials got me through. Would take again!

Easily understandable lectures, sets reasonable expectations, explains real world applications, and really just wants his students to succeed! While the exams are cumulative, if you study well with the study guides, they're manageable. As someone who isn't a math person, I would totally recommend professor Poulson!

Lecture videos were short and easy to understand. Professor Poulson cares about his students success and ensures his students are prepared for exams. You can work as fast or as slow as you want through the material as long as exams are completed on time

I love this professor, statistics is so not my strong suit but Poulson set up his online class perfectly. The lectures are easy to follow and explain the textbook well, the quizzes/assignments never ask for anything that hasn't been covered in the class. He also clearly cares about you as a student, going above and beyond to set you up for success.

I hate taking math and science courses online, but Professor Poulson makes the whole process very easy. His video lectures are a godsend.

Quite literally your best bet for taking this course, he is so patient and thorough. I was afraid of this course but Dr. Poulson wants you to succeed, and is so accessible to help you. This course does take a lot of time, but if you're committed, you will get an A. He is passionate about the subject and thus, if you apply yourself, you will pass!

This is one of the smartest professors I have ever had. He is a great teacher and gives you unlimited materials to prepare you for the exams in the class. I would absolutely take this again.
