Bart! Bart! Bart! His class may be somewhat boring at times, but it can be somewhat enthralling at times too. I suggest catching Pritzl as a professor if you can, he works very well with any student that comes up and asks for help. If the class is small enough, he makes it a point to know the names of all his students. Highly recommended!

This guy's the man. He responds to students well and teaches the intro course accordingly. The test wasn't too bad either.

very nice guy. always willing to help and answer questions. physics astronomy is a pretty hard class but if you take the time to study it's really not that bad. sometimes gives extra credit... overall a decent class and a decent guy.

Nice professor. Some of the material was rather hard to me, especially the second exam. No need to buy the book because all test questions are from lecture so it's important that you attend class. He clearly knows the material he teaches very well. Gives out random extra credit on days when half the class doesn't show up.

If you need a lab science, take physical science with professor Pritzl. You work with your lab partners and get out at least half an hour early. He is extremely nice and the labs are a cake-walk. The exams are very easy as well. He will stay after class if you need help as well.

He is such a nice guy and great teacher. The material is reall complex and tough, but he does an excellent job of getting it through. Make sure you understand everything, and it really helps going through the book.

Easily the most patient, accommodating professor I've had. Super nice-- he knows some of the material he teaches is complex, and goes out of his way to make sure everyone really understands it before the exam.

Extremely nice man who really loves what he teaches. He is very clear and loves when people asks him questions. It puts a huge grin on his face. The class itself is tough, especially the exams so you need to study a great deal.

Barts a pretty great prof. Easy straightforward class with relatively enjoyable labs. Cool guy thats down to earth. Might be a closet dork for physics but thats ok. The guy cant teach the class any easier. Just show up and do the labs and ull do great. Definitely recommended for anyone trying to fulfill their lab science gen eds. Bart Rocks

Great teacher. I didn't use the book at all, the exam questions are straight from the lecture, which he puts online in powerpoints, as well as podcasts each lecture, so you don't really NEED to go to class if you don't want to. He's super enthusiastic about the class which is a nice change. Tests are moderate, definitely need to study, but not bad.

Nicest man ever. Definitely take his classes if you can. He's always willing to stay after for a few minutes, and will actually take time to get to know his students' learning styles and how best to explain the material. Is extremely interested in what he teaches, which helps a lot. Also likes Mythbusters. Awesome prof.

Barton is an exceptional instructor. Even in a huge stadium class he was able to keep the class focused and involved. He is very clear about what is important on exams and includes it in his presentations. Loved the bonus info for physical attendance in class. Also valued podcast when attendance not possible. Would enjoy more classes with him.

Professor Pritzl is the sweetest guy ever! He was always good about telling us when upcoming tests and quizzes were. He would have review days and always made sure we knew the material. Once on a quiz I wrote down the problem wrong and I still got full credit because I did the one I wrote down correctly! TAKE HIM!

Definitely a good teacher. Very clear, helpful, not too fast, and seemed like he was always in a good mood. I don't like math, but he made it pretty easy. highly recommend.

Incredible teacher. He knows most students don't want every scientific detail (like me) and may not be good at science (me), so he just presents the key points, keeping the class interesting. He'll also discuss new findings in the news, and you learn tons of mind-blowing trivia. Highly recommend PHYS 103/113.

Amazing teacher. Wasn't interested in astronomy at all and I actually learned a lot. He is open for office hours whenever you need him and encourages students to come to them or ask questions in class.

I took the first running of this course. I had some stuff go down this semester and he is really worked with me to help me get all caught up. The class was very interesting and well taught and was taught at a pace that an upper level course should be taught at.

This guy is the best! I took his class to finish off my GEDs and it was the best idea. He is a super chill guy and is always willing to help and give extra credit. He is witty and makes the topics easy to understand. The material was easy, but the test is full of trick questions to see how much you know your stuff. I recommend him!

Dr. Pritzl is an amazing professor. He clearly explains everything you cover and makes sure to explain it through more than just lecture. He uses graphs, pictures, and video. He is one of the best physics professors in the department.

He is one of the nicest professors on campus! He really tries to make sure everyone understands the lecture. You don't need a book, plus he records all lectures! I would recommend still going to the lectures because he does sample questions at the beginning of class and he does not record those. The sample questions usually show up on exams!

Dr. Pritzl is truly one of the great professors at UW-Oshkosh. I considered changing my major to physics just so I could work with him again. If you care about the subject matter it makes the class much easier.

He's passionate about astronomy and always does his best to accommodate students. He is great in lectures and his enthusiasm for the subject is contagious. Normally I struggle with Physics, but this class has plenty of great review materials and the professor is approachable if you need help. My favorite large lecture class on campus so far!

He wants to see everyone succeed so if you need help he is there. All in all a pretty easy class everything was multiple choice on exams and quizzes

Dr. Pritzl is an amazing professor, one of the best I've had. He is very passionate about this class and you can see that in his lectures. Be sure to show up as there are in class assignments, quizzes, and exams. He also does a few online quizzes, but they are pretty easy. All material is accessible online so do not purchase a book. The best teacher I have ever had at Oshkosh. Even though you may be in a lecture hall, he truly cares about each and every student of his. He is very helpful during tests when you have questions or just need to talk through the test. Coming into the class I was very nervous because I never enjoyed science, but now I am so thankful I took this.

This Professor makes his class very hard to fail. Aslong as you somewhat know the material, you are fine on the tests. Tests are not difficult but he's good and switching words around to be tricky. Good sense of humor, and always smiling. RECOMMEND 100%

Pritzl understands that nobody is majoring in astronomy, so he only really focuses on the interesting and important stuff. Some material is like pulling teeth but he understands that and makes it somewhat fun to learn. He offers extra credit which helps SO MUCH. He's all around a cool guy. Labs are a breeze too.

Pritzl is a great guy and loves teaching this class. If you need a lab science I would HIGHLY recommend this course. DO NOT buy the textbook or the calculator. You do not need either of them. Make sure to take good notes and study before the exams. The exam questions are not very easy sometimes.

Barton Prtizl is easily one of the best professors at UW Oshkosh! He is incredibly nice and understands not everyone taking the class is an astronomy major. Class content is very straight forward and he is great at explaining the lecture material! Highly recommend this class and professor Prtizl!

Easily my most favorite professor so far at UWO. He is so passionate about the subject. Treats everyone like an adult. Class was very straightforward. He HEAVILY ENCOURAGED random questions in class, thanked you multiple times for asking the question, and was so approachable. Encouraging. Cant recommend this professor enough. Just spectacular.

Pritzl is great at teaching astronomy. He's totally approachable and down to earth. He genuinely wants students to understand and succeed. His lectures consist of many pictures, explanations, review of concepts from past lectures, and practice questions for the exam. Since everything is straightforward, it is clear what you can expect on an exam.

Thought Id hate this class but he teaches it so well! The test and quizzes arent hard if you show up to class and review. He makes class interesting so it worth going. I definitely recommend him. I did buy the text book but i rarely use it.

this professor is so caring and passionate about astronomy which helps students to learn more. There are 4 exams which are soooo easy if you study all the material. He gives a lot of extra credit and the labs have no exams so it is easy to get an A in lab which will boost your overall grade. Pritzel is a nice guy & a good professor! 10/10 recommend

I only showed up for quizzes and exams and still got an A. He podcasts the power point portion of lectures but gives plenty of incentives to show up for class. This class was great as a commuter. I learned a lot in this class even though it was relatively easy. Super interesting material and he loves answering questions. Great teacher and class.

Like many have said here, he is one of the very best professors I have had in my entire life. He is helpful, kind, genuine and wants the best for each of his students. If you put effort into the class you are pretty much guaranteed a good grade. I could not recommend him more if I tried. I wish all of my professors were like him!

Great professor! Gave clear instructions and accommodated to his students' needs! Super nice, respectful, and funny! I passed without using the textbook at all and only attending lectures. He records lectures as well so you can go when you can and watch the lectures if you miss one. He engages the class well despite it being a pit class.

He's the best! His lectures are recorded so if you miss class or you just don't want to attend, you can just go back to take notes on the videos! He always gives students an extra day to finish lecture assignments. Very easy-going, funny, and kind. I really like his style of teaching, it's engaging and it makes things interesting.

While the universe is interesting by itself, Professor Pritzl makes it even better. The course flows nicely and the class is an easy A if you show up, pay attention, and do a little study before finals. Even when the course touched on complex topics like relativity the course still remained easy to understand and simple thanks to his teaching.

Dr. Pritzl was one of my favorite professors ever. He is funny and he makes the material enjoyable. If you show up and take good notes you'll do fine on the exams and quizzes. Gives you a decent amount of online assignments that are just like the exam. Great professors and a great guy too.

As long as you go to the lecture you will be fine. I haven't studied once and have received A's on all exams, quizzes, and homework except one quiz I got an 8/10. He makes sure not to move on if people don't understand something and tells you what you need to know for the exams. You can tell he likes his job.

Lectures are easy to comprehend and actually engages with people on a personal level or with questions they have. Always encourages to come in for help on homework even if it's late, and is clear on what is going to be on the exam.

I LOVE BARTON. I am terrible at physics but he helped so much. He is so funny and really wants to have a connection with his students. There is barely any homework and he lets you do most assignments in class. There are a few group projects but he gives you more than enough time to do them. He is very lenient with extensions and accommodations.

Barton is by far the best Professor I've had during my time at UWO, he's always willing to answer your questions and is very accessible outside of class. Astronomy is a hard subject but Barton makes it as simple as it can possibly be. I would highly recommend taking Barton's class if you need a lab science credit.

Took 103 and it has to be the easiest lab science at uwo I would recommend that anyone who can takes it.

Best professor I ve had for a lab course, I would recommend taking him. Once went to his class while after smoking best experience in a class. He makes effort to teach in a way that students dont get bored and maintain interest. He also tries to connect with his students which is an appreciated effort. He is one of the best Professors on campus

He is so caring and loves his job. Professor Pritzl always makes sure he has something entertaining to add and always goes over subjects multiple times to make sure everyone can understand it. He goes above and beyond what it means to be a good teacher. (Had him for an Honors Seminar class, but that isn't an available option)

Definitely take this professor. He was so nice and I learned a lot through the lectures. He lets you know what will be on the test and makes really good study guides. If you like space this class will be really easy.

Barton is so kind and doesn't overcomplicate his quizzes or exams. The class is not interesting to me at all, hence why I'm not doing great, but that is not a reflection of his professing at all. if you pay attention and take notes, you should do just fine.

Dr. Pritzl was a very nice guy, and he truly cares about his students. The thing I didn't like about this class was I think it was a decent amount of studying. My biggest complaint would be that we spent most of the semester on "background information" and then at the end of the semester we crammed all of the planets into the last couple of weeks.
