This is an awesome professor! Being a disable student I had a fear of communication in my day to day life. Just the thought of speaking in public use to make me scared. This professor brings out the best in you. Mrs. Rihan makes learning fun. The class is not easy but well worth the effort. The skills learned will follow you the rest of your life.

Professor Rihan challenges you to critically think about your own experiences with each chapter that is covered in class. I leaned way more than I thought I would in an Interpersonal Comm class. She is an awesome instructor who really cares about the success of her students.

I had so much fun in this class, and I learned a lot. The class was fairly easy, but really you just have to follow the guidelines that she gives for speeches. As for tests, she covers what you need to know in class and explains what to read in he book. I really liked this class.

BEST TEACHER EVER! very helpful and understanding! there are a couple of papers that you have to do but they're graded easily. i learned so much in this class that i can actually use in real life! i would recommend this class to everyone! Basemeh is an amazing teacher. She makes the class comfortable. She always comes in with a positive attitude. This is one of the few classes you will want to show up for just because of her wittiness. I could sit in her class all day and hear her speak without getting bored. Great professor! Expect to be put on the spot at times and be talkative in class. Speeches are somewhat easy if you just do the prep work. Fun games to get students involved that make the class much better than just lecture. Tests come right from book, common sense stuff. Really easy class.

This professor is excellent! I had her for Comm. 100 and now Comm. 116 I hopefully will have her for Comm. 104 if I can. She is the best professor I've ever had, you will definitely enjoy her class no ifs ands or buts about it! she makes the material very easy to learn, and the classes are fun. I love this teacher! Her class is so much fun and she makes you feel at ease if you are really afraid of public speaking. Class does require work, mostly on speeches and outlines but she makes it clear what she expects. Love her stories of her own personal life and how it relates to communication discipline. It honestly feels like she could be your friend. She is always smiling, unless someone is causing problems of course. But wow, she is incredibly nice and she is very honest. She loves conversation, which is no surprise considering this was a communications class. She is definitely fair in grading and giving feedback. Out of the 6 or 7 speeches we did, only 2 were really huge and graded heavily. The rest were either you showed up and did it, so you passed, or you didn't do it, so you failed that speech. I would without a doubt take her again, if only I was a communications major.

Honestly amazing professor! She's so genuine & funny! I was shy before coming to this class, but she makes sure everyone is comfortable in the class. Workload is not heavy at all. Never assigns homework. Just study for tests & prep well for speeches & you'll easily pass.

Professor Rihan is a beautiful person inside and out, but her tests are ridiculas. I am a 4.0 student and studied day and night for all three of her tests and still received a low score. If the test says chapters 5,6,7, and 10 be prepared to know the entire textbook.

Take this class for your communications cred! You will be glad you did. Learned so much and professor Rihan was amazing. You learn a lot about emotion and talk about personal issue but she creates a safe and non bias learning environment. Tests are kinda hard, but she's a very fair grader. She always has a smile on her face and has a good personality, but the class itself is difficult. She gives good feedback on speeches and where we have room for improvement, which is appreciated. However, we did not go over the tests to see where we went wrong, and that is where most people struggled. Study hard for the exams--you'll need it.

Great lectures, however, read the heck out of the textbook she assigns, and make sure you understand it. Do not procrastinate on studying for the tests, her tests are hard!!!

Great, caring, passionate instructor. Loves what she does and tries to keep the class interesting. Participation points for showing up and points for small projects add up quick to make for an easy A. She isnt a hard grader at all and gives minimal outside assignments. You can fail every test and still get an A if your present and dont miss class.

She never wants to cause stress and explains things in great detail. She is a very generous grader. The tests are all multiple choice, and she does give you a review sheet but make sure to read your chapters.

Rihan is the perfect online instructor. Assignments are comprehendible and reasonable. The weekly work stays on schedule and is predictable so that you can easily have a life outside of school. Rihan is organized and an excellent communicator. There is never a time where you don't understand what is expected of you. Had a terrific semester!

Professor Rihan was the best professor I could have asked for. I was extremely nervous and anxious to take a public speaking class, but she made us feel comfortable to speak in front of the class. As long as you read the book, which is manageable and do your outlines/speeches you'll be fine.

This class is very simple. We just did discussion boards, little quizzes and 3 speeches. Being online made public speaking so much easier because she only made us upload videos of our speeches! She is very generous with grading too.

Lecture videos are no longer than 20 mins long! Daily assignments, and tests are easy. If you are having a difficult time, use QUIZLET! Pleasant grader, turn things in on time!

My first time doing online classes was wonderful due to the fact Rihan's class kept me motivated. I felt I learned to communicate better and the assignments introduced me to new perspectives of interpreting communication in my everyday life! I loved everything and would take this class again!!!

This class is fun even if you need it for credit, I needed it for my career skills. You will learn a lot of good tips anyone can use for relationships between significant others or family. Highly reccomend.

The class was easy as long as you read the chapters but you could probably pass with just the lecture videos. She was also very lenient in grading and replies fast with emails

She brings a level of care to all she does, she really loves her students, is an excellent lecturer, and is one of the most understanding individuals I have met. This class was super easy and I took the 6 week summer class. Typically 3 assignments a week and they were all fairly easy/ opinion based. Only downside is the instructions for the final were horrible. She really didn't have any clear guidelines on what to do. Her other assignments were mainly straight-forward, minus the frequent typos.

I took Rihan over the summer. It was very easy and I recommend taking her. She is not a tough grader and responds back to emails quickly. Each week is set up by a module which makes it very organized. She does require a textbook but you can download a pdf of it for free online.

Easy A, final consists of test(multiple choice), 4-6 page paper, and a 3-5 minute presentation or voiceover PowerPoint. She grades fairly as long as you show effort. Nice, caring, willing to help. You need the textbook to understand assignments. All quizzes and final are timed but everything is quizlet so use it to study. 1 discussion post a week.

Great teacher and kept things enjoyable. Discussion posts, quizzes, reflections due every week for fast track summer class were manageable. Do the work and you'll do well. Discussions posts were the most fun and interesting. Paper and powerpoint presentation are due at the end, better to work on them a week before due so you dont feel stressed.

She really sets you up to pass. Respectful and understanding! It really made me feel confident with my work and made me interested in learning! 100% would reccomend.

Great professor. You can tell she is very passionate in her job and she wants you to succeed. In-person meetings consist of group discussions, games and speeches. Several types of speeches required to be presented in person, some online. I felt like I learned a lot in this class and I gained more confident in my public speaking skills.

This was my favorite class and teacher so far and if I could take this class again I would. There are two big speeches and the rest is just quizzes and light discussions every week. She is flexible about late work and gives great feedback.

Overall, I liked this class. Public speaking is super stressful for me but the workload was manageable, only two big speeches. Professor Rihan is a fairly easy grader as long as you meet all the requirements. Sometimes her directions for assignments or discussions were confusing and she does not accept late work or redos, but overall easy enough.

I took this as a Summer class along with another class (that's TWO summer classes), and it was easy peezy. You have to give four speeches in total, and if you do it online, you only have to record yourself giving the speech in front of three other people. She has a quiz every week, about 30 questions, but that's easy, too! The text is easy to read.

She was great, this was my third class during the summer semester. Just make sure you do your research and follow rubrics and outlines carefully. Make sure you have a live audience, or you can FaceTime/zoom people for your speeches.

This was one of three classes I took during the summer and it was so easy. You only need to do four speeches with a live audience, whether its through zoom or in-person. The quizzes are not hard at all and pretty straightforward and the workload was not too much either.

Professor Rihan was a pleasure to have! There are two big speeches, informative and persuasive, and as long as you follow the outline and rubric, you will be fine! Occasionally she does in-class speeches, so it is important that you are in class. Overall, she is an amazing professor, and I definitely recommend her!
