Basia is the absolute coolest teacher I've ever had. She's so chill, and she REALLY wants her students to do well and understand Spanish. I never missed one of her classes. She lets you out early and is SO helpful with tests. She also has funny opinions about child rearing. SO GREAT!

If one looked up the definition of "Profesor Español" in Websters, one would find a picture of Basia. Before her I thought "con carne" was a Mongolian carnival worker. Basia weaves a gossamar web of education that transcends the normal thought process. She lifted the clouds of ignorance from our heads and taught us to Hablera espanol muy good.

This was my second semester with Basia, she is amazing! She was super helpful and she even let us out of class 95% of the time. If you come to class and do the little homework that she gives, you'll be set! Definitely would take her again!

Amazing. I miss her so much...TAKE HER! You don't even have to try very hard, and if she likes you, you'll do well. Even if she doesn't like you, you'll do well because she actually wants you to do well. The Spanish dept. at UD is a PAIN... you deserve a break, so take her and you'll get that break.

for someone who hates languages, having to take 3 semesters of spanish seemed terrible but Basia makes class fun, dont mind going, has reasonable demands, lets class out early, and can talk to you like a friend, definitely worth taking

Basia is a really great teacher. Spanish is so boring to me, but I was excited to go to her class everyday. She is hilarious and pokes fun at people, but only because she gets on a personal level with all of her students. Her class is straight to the point. You do the lesson and you are done class. We got out early every day minus test days.

She makes class easy/fun, lets you out early half the time. Participation is necessary, she WILL give you a 50 or less for participation if you don't talk. Writing assignments, oral project and oral exam are graded leintly but exams are tough. Online hw and 4 quizzes are cake. Very easy to fail exams. Easy C,effort for a B, A isn't impossible

Basia is the BEST spanish professor ever. Her class is by far my favorite. The exams are not difficult, she is a fair grader and wants everyone to do well. She's very approachable and will help you with anything you don't understand. If you have to take any spanish class DEFINITELY take her! she's great!

half the class we aren't even talking about spanish. we cover everything we have to, but she loves going off and talking about the most random things. she really understands the language and likes to have fun with her class. almost always get out early! tests are made by the department.

If you just want to get the class over with take her. She isn't too passionate about teaching and would rather talk and joke with the class about random things rather than teach. She is very personable and I enjoyed her class very much.

If you have to take 106, take it with Basia. She is very helpful if you need it and doesn't care too much about teaching, but still wants you to succedd. Very laid back class.

Basia made this class well worth taking. Each class you learn something and it is not a pain to sit through, she even lets you out early. Texrbook use is high and all of the tests are very straight forward. She wants you to do well and helps you learn in a fun and welcoming environment.

Basia is the best. SPAN106 is basically gonna be the same material no matter who you take it with: weekly online homework, 5 tests, 2 in-class writing activities, an oral project, and an oral exam. Since it's the same material across the board, you might as well take Basia. She's hilarious, tell you whats on the test, and lets you out early.

She's an awesome professor. You can talk to her and approach her like a normal person. Thought she was a student the first day she walked in. Definitely take her section for Spanish. She is the best.

Basia was a good professor if you need to just get the credit. If you plan on continuing past the 100 level I would suggest someone who is more serious about teaching. If you just need this and 107, take her. Class is very simple and at times the material is very dry, but she does a decent job of making it palatable.

My favorite teacher of my first semester in college, you can't get any better than Basia. Fun, easy, lenient, funny, sociable, understanding... catch my drift? Spanish isn't necessarily my strong suit, but with Basia it was. SPAN 106 was great just all around. Oh and if you ever get bored, which doesn't happen at all, she's great to look at.

Basia is hands down the COOLEST professor you will ever have at the University of Delaware. She is friendly with her students and doesn't hesitate to go off topic for a bit if a student brings up a funny story. If you miss an exam she is understanding usually allows a make-up. If you have to take spanish, you have to have her as a teacher

She's pretty much all you could ask for in a professor. Very friendly, enthusiastic, and willing to help students learn the material during class, office hours, and over email. As long as you put the time and work in that's required, it's a breeze. Cracks some pretty good jokes too.

Took the hybrid class so only had to go to class twice a week with two online sessions per week. If you took some spanish in high school this class should be an easy A so long as you do all the homework's and go to class. Overall she's a fun teacher and the exams are straightforward

Sra. Moltchanov was always very helpful and willing to explain a concept to a student when they didn't quite get it. She was always positive and wanted us to learn and did it in a way that felt fun, easy, and natural. I hate foreign language classes but she made the experience enjoyable. Great teacher for getting 106/107 out of the way.

Basia is amazing! I took seven years of French throughout middle/high school and I learned more Spanish in 1 semester than I did of French. She is completely engaged and very funny, and always willing to answer questions no matter how stupid they may seem. She is approachable and makes the material fun. Take Basia for Spanish!!!

Although she does have personally, I feel that she didn't care as much. I didn't receive a lot of candor, and I was just written off. She does know her material.

I LOVE basia. She is one of my favorite professors at the university of delaware. I HIGHLY recommend trying to get her as a teacher, she grades easy, isn't boring, and keeps class interesting. Best teacher! definitely try to take her for spanish you won't regret it!

Straight to the point. 106 is an elementary level Spanish course. If you are placed in 106, do yourself a favor and take placement exam. She slows down the class to make sure everyone grasps the material. Nice person, fair grader.

Professor Moltchanov is a very good professor. She is straight forward with her students and wants you to do well on the exams. I definitely suggest taking her if possible!

I took four semesters of Spanish in high school, and Mrs. Moltchanov is the best Spanish teacher that I have ever had. She teaches clearly and prepares you for the tests very well. The only work you have to do is little online assignments 2-3 times per week, but they take 15 minutes to complete if you are slow. Study a little and it's an easy B.

Though her test are tough, and class is definitely mandatory, she was an incredible professor. I really loved her, and loved going into office hours for her help. She was fantastic with helping and making sure we succeeded. Class was always short, and she kept it fun. Take her!

Basia is so helpful and she always makes sure that her students understand the material. She gives you practice worksheets on the different types of conjugations and likes to do a lot of group work. 106 is definitely (in my opinion) the hardest out of the 3 intro courses but she gets you through it.

Had not taken Spanish in 2 years and was very nervous for the class, but this turned out to be one of my favorite professors ive ever had. I sat in the front row and participated when i knew an answer. Very funny let us out early a lot. The class is very curriculum based so every class will be graded the same way, wish i could take for 107

One of the best professors I've ever had in college! She is very clear and sweet, and she helps explains anything that you are confused about. I went into SPAN106 hating Spanish thanks to high school, but I left her class wanting to minor in it, or if anything become fluent in the language. She is supportive and fun, and I highly recommend her!

Basic is amazing! I took 3 years of Spanish in high school and i felt very prepared for Spanish 106. She is so easy to talk to and she makes learning Spanish fun. She tells you what she puts on the exams ahead of time, and she always dedicates a review day for exams!

Professor Moltchanov is a super cool lady. She may seem intimidating at the beginning of the semester, but she gets more likable as you get to know each other. This course is very straightforward with its grading and policies, and is a piece of cake if you put forth any effort whatsoever in high school Spanish.

I had to take this for the arts & sciences requirement & she made it very worthwhile. She does count attendance & participation, but if you make the effort in class you will barely need to study on your own. No "exams", just chapter tests, compositions (you prepare heavily), and video projects (easy). Basia cares about her students, she's great!

I loved this professor!! She is fun and energetic. Very passionate about the subject and actually pays attention to how well each student comprehends the subject. I took this class as a hybrid and I did not find it difficult at all. A pretty easy A and a chill class overall. I would definitely take a class with her again!

Really nice and funny professor. Makes her expectations clear in the beginning of the course, as long as you try and do your assignments you'll likely get an A (I'm terrible at Spanish and was in the hybrid course and found it manageable). Constant homework but great professor!

Professor Moltchanov is excellent. She requires participation in speaking the material so that her students get closer to being fluent in the language. She gives small projects (writing and video projects) but nothing too time consuming. She is always ready and eager to help. Love her!

Moltchanov is easily one of my favorite professors at UD. She is so fun and relaxed that actually makes class enjoyable. I was in her hybrid class so there was a lot of online homework every week however it was a really good grade booster. Only 2 in class exams the rest were online. 2 video projects and 2 in class writing assignments as well.

One of the sweetest professors I've had at UD so far. She is truly so caring and enthusiastic. Her expectations are super clear and her exams aren't difficult. A lot of homework assignments each week, but they aren't too time consuming. I was originally dreading taking SPAN106 but she has made it such an enjoyable and stress-free experience!

I was really behind to start this class. I didn't take much high school in spanish and jumped right into this. Always felt behind and she could tell. One big composition she gave all the students who didnt do well a chance to go to the tutoring center and give it back. Gave me full credit. She genuinely cares and you WILL learn spanish. loved her.

Basia is the best Spanish professor Ive had so far. She cares so much about all the students in each class and wants you to succeed. If youre unsure of something she is very helpful and makes sure you understand. Exams and other assessments are fairly easy overall.

Dr. Moltchanov makes class entertaining and boosts student confidence in speaking. The assignments are all relatively easy. I got a 100% on every test. Online textbook access mandatory.

I love Profa! She is so passionate about Spanish and you can clearly tell. She is so caring and helpful. There is alot of online homework but it is relatively easy. There are three non-cumulative exams, 2 graded writing assignments and one oral exam. Take this class!

The class is very fast paced but Dr. Moltchanov is an angel regarding grades. Participate in the speaking exercises during class, do the online homework, and flashcard the vocab and the tests will be good. There are "pop-quiz" type writing assignments but they are graded on vocab and effort, not grammar.

I absolutely adore Professor Moltchanov. It is clear that she wants her students to succeed, and she will always stop and/or backtrack during lectures in order to clear up any questions her students have. Her tests are very fair, and homework is not at all overly difficult or time consuming.
