I took this class in the Fall semester and it was one of the most interesting classes i have taken. The Professor was very passionate about teaching and made the lectures very engaging. He offers a lot of extra credit during class which can help a lot if you struggle on any homework. I would highly recommend taking this class.

Professor B is the best. He is very passionate about chemistry and wants his students to succeed. He will go above and beyond for you and will make sure you understand the material. His class is built of labs/HW and I would say exams play a major part in it. In order to succeed, follow his lead, take notes, ask questions and revise. You will pass.

I was worried about taking chemistry as this is not my strongest point. However, Professor Ayoub helped me understand chemistry at a different level and now I feel a lot more confident with my knowledge regarding this science. I was lucky enough to already know everything from my background but beside so I can't tell how hard it was. Let me tell you though, that this man is a caring and wonderful professor. He lays down what you need on day one and explains everything. Lectures get a bit boring as they were 3 hours but gave 20 dollars for people to focus. W mans 100%

Take his class at all cost. Lecture ppt are easy to understand. He repeated important points many times, supportive and approachable, always makes time for students and provide valuable guidance on what you don't understand. Textbook thru Flatworld required because quizzes and homework on it. He's fair and easy in his grading and expectations.

Took the course expecting to have a difficult time but I was able to learn the material very well due to a great professor. Professor Ayoub was very understanding throughout the semester and was there during office hours to make sure we understood the material if we had any materials. This was a great class. He explained concepts in a manner that was easy for people to understand. His pacing was superb for a summer class. I found it to be the easiest way to comprehend chemistry. Would recommend to anyone taking general chemistry. You won't regret it!

Professor Bassam was always available in the office hours. He was very keen to deliver the material in the most simple way although Organic Chemistry part is known as one of the hardest subjects. He has a clear grading criteria and amazing lectures. Be ready to some readings and participation in lectures. Attendance in all labs was mandatory.

Be ready for a lot of homework and quizzes. The final exam was challenging and I was not ready enough. Study hard for the lecture exams and the final exam. Dr Ayoub was brilliant in delivering this class. He showed good control of the class although having more than 80 students in the same class.

I recommend taking him. He takes the time to help you learn the material. He gives out extra credit. Take it just in case. STUDY FOR THE EXAMS! He goes over everything, and if the class doesn't make it to a topic, he doesn't put it in the exam. He gives out revisions before exams 1 and 2, And it's basically what's going to be on the exam.

I really liked Professor Ayoub's teaching strategies and the book he uses in tandem cover complex ideas clearly with lots of examples to review. He was also very supportive to my classmates and I when we were uncertain of complex ideas or needed him to expand on them for clarity. He is also very generous with his extra credit opportunities.

This class was pretty hard but I was able to do it. Classes are mandatory especially if you're trying to keep your grade up and stay on track of stuff. Professor Ayoub is very helpful with homework, lectures, or quizzes. So never be afraid to ask for help he encourages it and I agree study a lot, get tutoring and help when you need it.

Well I took his class as a repeat for chemistry and what I have to say after is that he is a great professor his work is clear so are his instructions. He also helps out if you don't understand a section or subject he'll help if you take time which I say you should as it will help more.

At the beginning of the semester I was very nervous about this class and found Aktiv to be a headache. It took me a while to get used to the website especially when it came to stoichiometry, but Professor Bassam was incredibly helpful & honest about what it takes to be successful in his class. If I used the office hours more, I could've had an A.

He is to the point in a polite way which is good because he tells everyone what they need to know and study for in order to be prepared for each exam. The workload i would say is fair. The class is fairly easy, but keep in mind it's still a chem class. You have to know your stuff. I was so lucky to be in his class.

Gave lots of extra credit opportunities. Dropped our lowest lab, i got perfect scores so i was able to skip the last lab. Final was accumulative worth 300 points so make sure you study. I had a family emergency and had to miss school for a week; he was very understanding, and he made sure to check up on me once I returned to school. The material is easy to understand as long as you study.

The final cumulative exam was heavy & included all chapters. Make sure to attend all lectures and labs if u wanna get an A grade. I barely made it to C grade because I missed many lectures. He is so helpful in labs always available in the office hours but he should curve the hard final exam even if many students got > 90%, it's not our business.
