Very clear on what his expectations are and what objectives of any labs and readings are. Always willing to provide further explanation. Expects students to earn their grades and to perform at a university level.

He gives you extensions if you ask for them, just be honest. Submit detailed work, attend class, study the lecture notes, and you'll get a good grade.

This class was a bit harder than I was expecting material wise. Nice enough person just a lot of material to cover and I think thats what made the class difficult, for me in particular. He is a little monotone in his teaching but I had him in his first semester... But nice and helpful outside of the classroom.

Bassam is tough but very fair. His expectations are made clear and as long as you do the work, you will do well. He is very professional and a good guy.

He doesn't post lecture notes, so show up to class and be ready to take notes fast. He is extremely clear on expectations and most of the time gives hints on important material that will be on the exams. Don't expect an easy A, but If you study and do the work there is no excuse not to get an A in his class.

one of my fav profs. he's such a nice and genuine guy. Very smart man with a different teaching style. Expect lots of case studies. He is more than happy to help if you just ask and show him you want to learn. Even though his classes are very difficult and you have to work really hard to get the grade you want, I would take him again in a heartbeat

he wants students to succeed. explains slowly so that everyone can understand. the questions on he exams are identical to the ones from the quizzes. overall a good teacher

Bassam's lectures are good, he covers the concepts very well. There is a lot to know for the mid-terms so you need to study a lot but he provides clear guidelines as to what you should focus on. If you put in the work then you will get an A.

Done my final exam and feelig good about it. Bassam is really good at explaining difficult topics and he is very fair.

Bassam has good lectures that provide you with all the info you are required to learn for the course. The tests are extremely fair and there were never any surprises. If you pay attention he will often hint or emphasize the concepts and material that will be on the long answer section. He missed some classes but overall it didnt affect the course

Bassam is a great Prof, he may come off as a someone who sometimes lacks emotions but he is honestly an awesome guy. He is extremely fair and is willing to make compromises in order for his students to get the best of marks. If you study his material and listen to the concepts he focuses in class, there is no reason you cannot get a great mark.

Bassam makes his expectations very clear. Lecture material is very nicely organized and easy to study. Assignments are fairly easy, and tests are fair--if you study, you'll do well. Bassam is both interesting and nice, and he is great at answering in-class questions. Would definitely recommend!

fair tests and cool labs

wrote my exam today and got an A, so happy. bassam is a good instructor and his tests are very fair if you study the notes and the textbook.

Overall the class was decent. I took it in the winter semester so we missed several classes due to inclement weather but it didnt detract too much from the course. All the assignments were ecplained on day one so you could work through at your own pace - make sure you dont leave them till the last week. Marks were spread out between many things

Dr. Nyaeme is great, he reviewed the material for the upcoming exam today and made sure that all the students understood the key concepts. Pretty amazing.

Had my first class today and it was so much fun. Lecture, group work and alot of pratical applications.

Really good at explaining things and checking to see if students are doing ok. will take again.

Bassam is an awesome professor. He makes KPE 270 seems super easy, as he explains the concepts in a simple manner and always gives a few minutes in class to review the material and ask questions. The labs are super easy as well.

Bassam was awesome for KPE 270. He made it seem really easy and he talks pretty much all class except for the pauses when he lets you review the stuff he just talked about lets you ask questions as well. He was super caring about everyone as well. Would take him again if he taught more classes I need

Bassam is an amazing prof. He really cares about all his students and gives you every opportunity to succeed. The material was content heavy but if you work hard you will receive a great grade. Highly recommend!

Bassam is an excellent prof that makes it very clear what will be on quizzes and exams. If you study the material and use addition resources such as videos you will do well in the class. If you are interested in medicine this is the class that is right for you.

labs have been great so far, a good combo of group and personal work. Bassam is great at making the labs fun and he si very helpful explaining how to do experiemetns.

Amazing prof! he is clear and makes sure everyone understands what to do in class and during in class experiments. His midterm and Final are extremely easy if you know everything in the notes packages he provides you with. study 2 days in advance and you'll easily get above 80%. make sure to take youre labs and lectures with him for a good grade

Easy to get a good mark with Bassam. One group project and some in class work. You have to show up to get the notes.

I have enjoyed this oniline class very much, bassam made so many resources available to us and prepared mock exams so i felt well prepared.

very helpful and always respnds very quick, appreciate that in online classes. taken many classes with bassam before and always had a good experience.

Online 260 is a great class, because you can learn at your own pace. But there is 1 big assignment, a midterm and the final exam. His tests are a mix of either easy questions or hard questions. It's harder to study for the tests, but overall the class is good to take online

Clear expectations and provides the information and resources necessary to succeed. Most organized online lecture I have been in so far, would highly recommend. Also answers emails extremely fast, so if you have any questions do not hesitate because Bassam wants his students to do well.

It is my first time taking Bassam for Pharmacology and so far he has been great. Very quick at replying emails, accomodating, and understanding. Would love to see him around teaching next semester as well!

Bassam is a fair guy. The lectures are HEAVY but he is a fairly easy marker. The tests can be difficult but he is basically just looking to see if you understand the material. He answers emails SUPER fast so it is very easy to get ahold of him. He likes single spaced papers tho, which is wack. But overall, decent prof.

Learned alot from this class. Very good prof and always answering my questions quickly. There is alot of studyin as the material is lengthy but he makes good explanations for complex topics. Would take again if he teaches more Bio courses.

awesome prof, very caring and provide lots of practice for exams. This is the second class I take with him. The course is very dense but broken down into smaller learning modules. Bassam is always responding to my questions and I send many after each module. wish i have him in my other bio courses.

The most thoughtful prof. I had missed a quiz because of illness and he went above and beyond to help me. Very glad I have him next term too.

Taking this class with Dr. nyaeme is the reason I am seriously thinking about medical school. Learned alot about the human brain and very inspired for medical school now. He is the best in opinion. Very methodical, organized and inspiring.

wish he was teaching more courses. I learned alot from his class and he was very nice providing practice questions before every exam and every case studies. There is alot of reading but totally worth it at the end.

Bassam is a reasonable professor and is very knowledgeable. Would take him again.

Was very good at explaining concepts to students who aren't familiar with brain physiology. Tests were reasonable. Adjusted marks if there were questions that everyone struggled with. Generous marker for the paper. Approachable.

Bassam sends automated announcements about what to focus on per week. Course is basically an ongoing common sense discussion. There are papers (3), Discussions Boards (3), a group project, a Quiz, Midterm and Final. He answers emails very quickly, and is quite a generous marker. Anyone with a fully developed pre- frontal cortex can pass this class.

Bassam is easily one of the greatest professors at UFV 10/10 would recommend

Double awesome prof

Good course. The content is a bit heavy but doable, he allows a cheatsheet to the midterm exam and final whcih is nice. There is a lot of readings in this course. I have taken 4 courses in total with this instructor and I would say he is a fair grader. We got marks back on midterm exam and final for some tough questions so thats nice.

Bassam is a good professor who is very accomodating towards student success. The course content isn't easy, but he lays out exactly what is required for the exams, and with a bit of effort anyone can get a high grade in his class. He responds to emails on time, and despite boring lectures, I would take Bassam's class again.
