Overall a smart professor who can give u a tremendous amount of knowlegde and experience. He will make you ready for the real world. Exams could be difficult if u dont study. Everyone should take a class with him period.

Great professor. His advice has helped me on interviews, papers, speeches, ect... Take him and you wont be disappointed. One thing, go into class with 5 things you like about yourself, and what makes you tick on hand. ONe thing he likes though is for you to be in class. Go, its fun!

I didn't want to take the class but he made it fun. Makes you participate and hates no shows. Study guides for test and easy grading on speaches. Show up and pay attention and you should get an A!

He is very nice guy. If you need help on anything he encourages you to come to his office. He loves it when you come to his office for about 5 minutes just to go through what is going to be on the test or something. Easy grading. Speeches are easy going and you feel comfortable!! Take him!

Best Teacher/Professor I have ever had. Deeply cares about his students. He always has fun with the class just because thats who he is, fun. He is happy about life and extremely happy about teaching which makes this class fun and entertaining.

Bassey is the best professor I have ever had. He cares about his students and has a positive attitude every day.

Bassey doesn't lecture from the book. His lectures consist of advice and quotes. I wouldn't spend the 80 some bucks for the book. Borrow from a friend and split the cost or something. If you listen in class and attend frequently you will do fine. Go to his office at least twice during the semester. This will impact your grade a TON!

He is a very, very good professor!!! If you have to take this class, take him as a professor. He is always willing to help you when you need something. He is a very caring person. All you have to to is come in to see him and he'll give you an A. Make sure you say 'good morning' to him when he walks in to class.

I'm not sure what these people are talking about. They obviously failed to do anything in his class. Bassey is an upbeat guy and gets everyone involved. He is more than willing to go the extramile if you need help. I definitely reccomend Bassey to anyone. All you have to do is show up, skim the reading, and smile. There is no other like Bassey Eyo.

Bassey is a passionate teacher who strives to help students better themselves. He is upbeat most of the time. DO NOT take his course if you think you can slack off. He expects a lot out of his student but all of the work is well worth it. You are guranteed to learn by taking this professor. He is a very good professor.

bassey is always charged up like a little rocket and ready to teach class, he'll get everyone involved and you'll soon have the nickname "awareness wheel" you need to be in class, not for slackers. the exams take a lot of time, LOTS OF ESSAY QUESTIONS! study the chapters and your notes thoroughly. He has been the best professor I've had so far. He's always excited for class and to get you going. Class is manditory but it's not bad to have to go everytime since everything you learn can and will be applied to your life ahead. I would definatly take another class of his. A lot of group work but it's easy stuff. The easiest A possible.

Bassey is a great man. He is very inspiring and he really cares about his students. Class is mandatory but its a good thing, to get an A all you have to do is show up and take notes, his tests come directly from the notes. I cant wait to take more classes with him.

Bassey is a really nice guy. His only fault is that he tends to be long-winded at times. He tells many stories, albeit, interesting stories. But sometimes, you just want to get out of there. Interesting class, good teacher.

This was a very easy class for being a 300 level. Bassey really cares about his students and has a very positive outlook on life. If you show up to class and read the chapters (once) you'll do fine. First two tests turned into group exams. Would recommend this class.

A must take professor for CMST 192 . He is so open that even though you might have to give 1 small and two majopr speeches you will not find it difficult no matter how shy you are . Take him if you actually want to get something out of CMST 192 . Very helpful .Grading is not tough , just make sure u go through the materials handed by him and read t

He is the most awesome professor at St. Cloud state. i would recomend that every student attend one of his classes. Even with graduating 15 years ago; he still remembers who i am and cares what i am doing.

He appears to be preachy and not teaching from the texts, but if you keep up on the texts you will see the relationship. Very unorthodoxed teacher! Inspiring. Helpful in and out of classroom. The more you work, the more he does for you (students may call those students kiss ups). Take him!

Great professor, great man, his syllabus is all over the place though. You learn more life lessons in this class, than you do theories, which are more useful. I would recommend taking him at least once in your tenure at SCSU

Great teacher. He really cares about you and your future. 7 group assignments and group tests if the spirt moves him. If you have to take a communication class take it with him enough said.

Had him for the leadership course. The basis for his course was extremely interesting, and the readings were as easy to understand as any I've had in a class. He was willing to work individually with students and was very energetic in class. It was challenging yet fun.

Bassey Eyo was inspiring in his lectures. I had him for bus comm. His use of personal life stories could be confused for arrogance, but he is humble and self-depricating. He wrote an amazing recommendation letter on my behalf when applying for law school. That, in addition to his wisdom and high expectations, helped change my life for the better.

the best thing about this professor is he doesn't give homeworks or any assignments. the grade is all about the exams and the speeches. he is fun and he really cares for his students, his expectation about his students are high. and he is easy going, i highly recommend him.

I graduated from SCSU about 4 years ago. I actually was just googling him to see what he was doing. I find things that he taught me in business communication are all skills I utilize. He really works hard at giving you things you can use in the real world, unlike some CMST professors who just lecture about theory. Great class definitely worth takin

I really enjoyed taking this class with Bassy. The only thing that I had a problem with was that he picked people in the class that he favored which drove me up the wall. Other than that he was easy to follow and was very interesting to listen to.

Good professor, learned a lot about communications. Exams are straight from notes. If you show you care about your grade, he'll give you a good grade, just go talk to him. Lectures can get old about motivation though.

He knows the perspective he is teaching very well and always trys to make the classroom enjoyable. The presentations are meant to be fun and the tests are straightforward. For the people who gave him bad ratings, he's "going to love the hate out of you." His teaching style is unique, but once it is understood, anyone can appreciate his class.

Nice and cool but too emotional it's annoying. And don't ever talk to him about grades because it will piss him off. He made us seem like we all were getting A's but guess not. Show up and do all the work and you get a B at least.

Got a D on first test with him, then went in to talk to him for the first time before the next test....A on the next one. Show up for class and you will do fine.Don't text in class

This professor is very enthusiastic. He cares about the subject and he cares about his students. He doesn't do well with students disagreeing with him and tends to get a little preachy, but overall he is a great professor!

He doesn't like it when people don't show up for class. You do 4 or 5 group projects which do require some work but the 3 tests are easy, mostly common sense stuff and stuff that he goes over in class. He can be a little high and mighty sometimes but you get used to it. If he likes you and knows you're trying then he will give you a good grade.

He kept your interest in class, attendance is mandatory. Attend class and you should do fine.

Awesome teacher! This guy is so enthusiastic about everything! He really does push you outside your comfort level but by the end of the class you will be thankful for it. Very easy class if you attend and write what he puts on the board. He tells you exactly what is on the tests so if you study that the tests are extremely easy.

Bassey is really nice and funny. You have 2 speeches and he helps you through them. He really wants you to do good. But if you don't go to class he will get mad at you and not like you..so go to class!! He gives you study guides that are exactly what is on the test. He is a little disorganized though. He gets due dates and things confused.

Take him if you can! Such an easy class. He gives out a study guide for each exam and the exams are identical to the study guide. Easy A on the exams if you study at all. You only give two speeches and he is very interested in each one. As long as you go to class, you will get an A.

One of the best classes I have taken! Super nice guy and makes jokes a lot. Sometimes was a little too much for me at 9:30AM but class is mandatory. He gives you study guides & goes through it with you in class but will get mad if you haven't attempted the study guide alone. answers were obvious in the book. test and study guide were the same!

Very passionate about what he teaches. If you are willing to work hard in the class, you will do good. He sometimes goes off and talks about really random stuff and doesn't always make sense. Study guides for each test which are very helpful. Overall a good class. Defiantly helps get people over their fear of public speaking

Proffesor eyo cares for you, he gave our class all perfect scores on 23 of the group projects Because he liked us. He is very passionate which gets him off subject an on tantrums at times. At first I thought he was snotty then by the end I really liked him. Exams are more of your grade then he let's you know! Remember that. Awesome person overall!

Professor Bassey is a caring and kind hearted professor that wants you to take his class to grow yourself not only for the credits. I have has Basses for several classes and he has helped me get a job and an internship. If you are a student that likes dates and your hand held through the class then you will not like him.

His course was an interesting experience. He is very humorous and cares a lot about the well being of his students. His lectures consist of some very inspirational and motivating content. He is reluctant to talk about grades and it can be very unclear, I didn't know my grade until the end of the semester. The text is required for quizzes/tests.

At first I thought he wasn't all that, but after a while he seems to be very passionate about what he is teaching. He is very passionate to help his student and elevate them to become a better communicator in the workplace. A lot of projects but very easy, just show up, read, listen and you will pass.

Professor Bassey is caring about his student and giving amazing lectures. He gives a lot of gifts which are review sheets which are coming in exams.

He is the BEST PROFESSOR in Saint Cloud State University. He explained everything clearly and taught us many important things about our future. I haven't met a professor like him at all. The Good: Passionate Teacher Good sense of humor Real world experience to draw on Personalizes group projects based on your major. Biggest group project was all about the importance of communication in our major. The Bad: Doesn't teach from his book. If your attention lapses you miss important context to his lectures. Can be harsh in criticism.

If you are a very social, enthusiastic and outgoing person who loves to participate and take initiative to do things or have the leadership quality I guarantee you will love his class. Always taking notes is the key. His class will get you out of your comfort zone.

My favorite professor! He is the kindest and most caring person. The class consists of a couple tests which are matching from the definitions in the book. My semester went half online so we didn't get to the speeches but you normally would have 2 speeches. I would definitely recommend this professor to anybody. Lectures, you just sit and listen!

Bassey pushes you to grow as a person. had no idea what my grade was all semester. no d2l use. participation matters. random attndnce. groups projects with other people in your major. lots of lectures. as long as you try and show it, you will do fine
