She is extremely nice. All of the tests are easy and she allows retakes for those who missed the test or scored below a 70 the first time. She gives plenty of extra credit opportunities. In her class you learn more verbally and not just by memorization. I really enjoyed having her as a professor.

Spanish 122 is difficult, but she is a nice Professor. you have to keep up! she gives students a chance to re-take the quizzes if you get below 80 the first time. that saved me. she's nice, but remember she's a European; time is important, don't be late and waste your time. I Took Professor Guerra 2 semesters in a row. She is an amazing professor who cares about her students. I learned a lot in her classes and I am very happy that I had her for a professor. The tests are pretty easy as long as you attend class and do your work- no surprises! Also, there is a lot of extra credit!

Great teacher over all gives so much easy extra credit that it impossible to even think of failing this class. So far the easiest professor in mcc. She's a fairly straight forward professor. She tells you what she wants you to know and gives you the tools to practice. I'd imagine it'd be hard to fail the class. Just show up. She does care strongly about attendance but it's because it's easy to fall behind. Her accent makes it a little hard to understand the words she's teaching.

Since I have been in Middlesex, Professor B.G is one of the best teacher I have ever had. She is wonderful, and she takes time to explain everything, and she gives everyone a chance. I am looking forward to have my spanish 2 with her.

Professor Guerra does a great job. Took her for Elementry Spanish I and did fine. I am a visiting student to MCC, and, to be blunt, have no interest in foreign language but she worked with me. Although I tend to drift off her directions are direct enough to allow me to succeed.

Midterm and Final were hard but I think she prepared us properly. I missed 2 days of class due to work and illness and my participation grade suffered but I feel that my participation in every class I was in attendance for should've made up for it. Overall though, I learned a lot.

Summer Class Elementary Spanish: Great Professor. Nice lady and has a sense of humor. Gives great resource materials for practice. What she teaches is what is always on tests. Reviews with class often. Participate and You Will Pass. WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND.

Prof. Guerra is super nice and really cares about her students doing well. Her teaching style is great for learning the language and very doable while juggling a lot of other classes. Was really upset at the expensive textbook, but we used it in every class and use the online code with it, so it was totally worth it for how much we used it.

Gives extra credit and really cares about her students. She is super easy to talk to and understanding. I got her lectures really well. The tests are not difficult at all.

I am happy to be in this class because this is my second time of taking this course. She makes you feel at ease and let you know that if you have any problem she is always there to attend to you.

It was an easier class than expected specially that I had no Spanish background. The only annoying thing was the text book. It was so expensive. Just focus in and it will be an easy A.

I had a great time in her class. Not hard at all with everything being explained clearly and will also help if your not certain on a certain topic.

If you follow the rules, she is a pretty good professor, otherwise you are doomed.

She has a clear structure of how the class works, explains what she's looking for and shares many resources on how to practice what we learn in class. She's big on participation, emphasizing that class is really the time to practice speaking (it's very low pressure though, she doesn't expect perfection. it's a good way to remember what we learn).

She is clear with every explanation, she is always open to help and clarify doubts.

Have some prior knowledge on the language but overall an easy class. Lots of extra credit.

The homework is actually a moderate amount, she goes over it in class and calls out students to give answers so make sure you do it. She's a great teacher, what sucks is if you have a class that's absolutely silent! It's a language class, you need to speak! & also make sure to come to class, attendance is always taken in each class!

Professor Guerra was great. Although my native language is Spanish, I always learned something in every class. Attendance is not mandatory, however, she discusses most assignments during class. Online workbook/textbook use is mandatory. If you participate in class and do your assignments then you'll pass the class.

You get assigned Online Workbook assignments which are very easy to do online. They also count heavily on your grade so if you do not do them, you WILL NOT PASS. As long as you make sure you do well on the tests and submit the online workbook assignments on time, you will pass the class.

TAKE HER IF YOU CAN!!! She really cares about her job and is super caring towards all her students! She does her best to include everyone and make sure everyone has the best opportunity to learn. I had a different professor for Spanish 1 and I regret not taking her for both 1 and 2. I would have learned so much more if I had her for both!

Professor Beatriz Guerra is a fair teacher. She gives a lot of assignments, but they really help you if you want learn Spanish. She also offers extra credit assignments if you need to boost your grade. Her online class was interactive and she also made sure that her students were engaged.

Great professor! I would take her again if I had the chance to, her class was very interesting, she would explain things all over again and again if asked to. All info on tests and final came from her lectures, day before test even at the same day basically goes over the test itself and even tries to help out as much as she can.

If you are not familiar with Spanish, it's going to be tough. I think that the class is not for total beginners like department stated. On the bright side, Prof. Guerra is a very nice person, and likes to help students. She gave us extra credit assignments to boost our grades. Also, I liked her cute stories about traditions and customs in Spain.

Although she can be sarcastic and will put you on the spot if she feels you aren't paying attention, she won't let you fail and grades on time.

If you want to learn Spanish as a new language, this professor covers everything. She's understanding that this may be new language for you but she also asks for dedication for the effort.

Overall she was an amazing professor that was very understanding and very cooperative, all you have to do is just communicate with her and everything should be smooth sailing.

So I am 26 and considered a "No Sabo Kid" and this is the first time I took a Spanish class and actually felt encourage by someone from a Spanish speaking culture to make mistakes or ask questions about why you say things a certain way. Professora Guerra is so down to Earth and very straight forward and clear with her teaching, definitely take her!

Professor Guerra was a great professor, and I would definitely take a Spanish class with her again.The class was not homework heavy. We were only assigned two short assignments a week. The grading is based heavily on participation, so if you participate / come to class, and hand in your homework, you should be set.

I'm gonna be honest, I didn't like her at first, but I really didn't appreciate her until I took another professor for Spanish 2, and then I regretted not taking her again. She forces you to participate and do homework everyday but that honestly helped to retain the information and pass tests. I highly recommend you take her.
