Ms. Almanys class was not the easiest class in the world but she is very helpfull. if you go to her and ask her opinion on your paper she will give you an honest review. She is very strick on attendace. I loved her class and found it to be very clear and easy to learn.

She was AWESOME. Anyone who didn't succeed in her class failed themselves. She went out of her way to help, and was much more concerned with us understanding material and correct writing than petty nonsense some other teachers obsess over. She was the best! it doesn't matter if you make all As on the papers, the daily grades kill your average. I made As on my paper and dailys sucked and I got an 88 and she wouldn't give me an A and I'm a good student too. I used the writing center, act. The essays aren't extremely hard because she tells you exactly what you need to have for the essay and gives an outline. There is a little homework but not a lot. It was a fairly easy class if you keep up with your work!

I took a hybrid course, half in class, half online.She is a great teacher, explains herself well.Be prepared to write 5major essays,these are 50% of you final grade.I recommend going to writing center. Professor Almany gives a clear grading criteria for all of her essays and really wants to help her students! this class requires lots of reading, but easy reading. She gives many opportunities for extra credit on essays! I love her. I've kept an A in her class just by following directions and getting my stuff done. Easy if you're a decent writer.

She takes the first day to lay out the syllabus and exactly what she expects in the coursework. Throughout all assignments, she gives an exacting rubric so there is no question about the final grade. Her teaching is very clear. If there is one thing to be aware of, it is the peer-editing. It was almost totally useless. Take her if possible.

Professor Almany is definitely the best english teacher I've had. She isn't a tough grader if you do everything that's on the rubric. She also shows you exactly how to write your essays, so it it fairly easy to get an A in them. I strongly recommend taking her if you actually want to improve your writing skills.

Prof. Almany is very personal & knows her students. Her grading criteria is abundantly clear & outlines exactly how to get an A paper. Show up, bc there is a quiz every class. She's fairly strict but will definitely help you if you do your side of the work. I'd say you don't need Rules For Writers but do need Norton. Take her!!

Professor Almany is an incredible professor. I took her blended ENGL 1301 course and quickly realized what kind of professor she is. She is clear in her expectations! All you have to do is show up, do the work, follow her rules exactly and CARE about what you write. If you do these things, she will care too and you will be pleased with your grades.

Essays are the majority of your grade. I made 90's on all of the 3 essays and still have an A in the class. In class quizzes over hw are more complicated, and not much hw besides online quizzes for a blended class. She gave me good feedback on my papers which I really appreciated! Honestly, not a hard A if you do well with essays.

Some extra credit is available but not much. Decent amount of reading. Grades essays pretty easy. Fast grader.

I had Mrs. Almany for 1301 and got lucky getting her again for 1302. She is a great professor, who really cares about her students. Her office hours are always open and she is very helpful if you come to her with questions. She offers quite a bit of extra credit and opportunities to get bonus points. Really good prof. Gives EXTRA CREDIT opportunities. Checks attendance every day though but gives extra credit at end of the semester for perfect attendance. Having troubles in class? go to her office hours, very helpful. NO LATE WORK ACCEPTED.

Love Mrs. Almany. She is a great teacher, but if you miss class, dont pay attention, dont keep up with your assignments, or ask for help when needed you WILL NOT PASS. Had her for blended 1301 and currently in FTF English 1302. I was very successful in her blended class but only take it if you know FOR SURE you can handle the assignments and you manage your time very well. This English course is a blended format class, which means you only meet with her once a week and the rest of your work is online. The work portion online can SOMETIMES have several assignments, but they are never too hard to do. As for the essays she gives you an exact outline and explains very well what she is looking for in the essay.

Loved her class! Hated English going in, but she made it a million times easier. I took her blended class and it was a lot of work the first couple of weeks, but it slowed down about halfway though, so stick with it. Mrs. Almany is a very caring teacher if you show her that you are trying and care about your work. She can be tough when it comes to attendance, she expects you to be in class. Mrs. Almany's blended class is very straighforward. There are assignments due twice a week online that prep you for what you will do in class. The essay directions are clear and easy to follow. Visit her office--she will go over everything for you to help you get the best grade. Half of my class got an A because we did our stuff and came to class.

Grading in this class is heavily based on 3 essays, which shouldn't be an issue if you ask for help if needed and follow directions. There's also a couple short online assignments due each week. Professor Almany was AMAZING! I took her ENGL 1301 as a blended class, so 1 day a week, I went to lecture and the rest was online! It was much easier than expected. Of course at the start it was a lot of busy work, to understand for later. Then once that was over, the focus was all on your writing! I have never felt like a writer before her course!

The class wasn't that hard, I only put level 3 difficulty due to the amount of homework. There is a bit of it but it is quite easy. Most of the first 8 weeks, there will be a quiz every day but if you read/watch the content you'll easily pass. She is very lenient with her students as long as you're hardworking and truthful.

I took Almany's Comp I class my 2nd semester. Honestly, I dreaded that class because I'm a perfectionist when it comes to writing and it was exhausting for me. This class was very clearly organized and stated what was due each week. Things were due Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. It seemed like a lot sometimes, especially with papers, but honestly it was a super effective way to do it. And she is super honest and gives clear feedback. Shes super sweet and easily accessible outside class throughout email.

Fantastic professor. Took ENGL1301 over the summer and it was very well organized. I did about 1-2hrs of work every day for 5 weeks and passed with an A. The course requirements were concise and helpful, with every day's assignments listed clearly. Best online course I've taken and I actually enjoyed it because she gives practical knowledge.

I never liked writing essays until Professor Almany's class. She gives you all of the resources to make an A on every essay. There is a quiz every day but she lets you use notes on pretty much every one. I would definitely take eng 1301 again and would recommend it to anyone who struggles on writing essays!! Professor Almany gives great feedback during essays, and her assignments aren't difficult as long as you do them with time. I only have one gripe with her class... her deadlines! Why would a professor make the deadlines for an assignment 12:00 noon? It cuts my day in half. If you miss one deadline, since it's online, it will count as an absence.

This professor is AMAZING!! She is always helpful and responds super fast when you email her a question! There are multiple essays so be sure to have a reliable computer with Microsoft Word. Make sure to complete things by the deadline or else you will get a zero (she does NOT accept late work for any reason). Would definitely take her again!!

It was all online but it was an easy class. You had 3 or 4 papers but all of them builder off of each other. She posted written and oral instructions, quizzes were easy if you did the notes. It required participation but it was very manageable. Pay attention to what time the hw is due! She was quick to respond and very nice!

I loved Professor Almany's class. I did an online 8-week course. Although there were a lot of assignments due, it consequently provided a huge cushion for your grade. Plenty of extra credit classes!! Super great prof! There is a lot of work but it is super easy, she grades easy, and the work all builds up for your essays! You can find everything as a PDF so you don't need the book! As long as you try you will get a good grade but she is super laid back and helpful also going to class gets you a 5 point bonus

She is so helpful when giving feedback on essays and responds to emails literally within 5 minutes if shes at school and if shes not she responds within a couple of hours. You can definitely tell that she loves teaching English and I suck at writing essays but I got over a 95 on all of my essay

If you do not turn something in on time, it is considered an absence which is not really fair because how can one be absent on a &quot;Sunday&quot; when there is technically no school on Sundays? I have never been a fan of english and papers but she made this class so easy to understand. SO many extra credit opportunities, you can submit your notes for +10 on every quiz. There are 3 essays and they all stem of each other so you never write more than one from scratch, and she tells you exactly what she wants on each one. Highly recommend her

This class is an excellent option for those taking English 1301, there are 3 papers due throughout the semester and the way Mrs. Almany lays them out makes them extremely easy to complete. The class does take quite a bit of time to do all the assignments but the quizzes are easy and straight from the book so it makes the class a breeze.
