I thought she did a very good job. But there is way to much homework that does not get graded.

She earned these ratings, in spite of still being in the process of learning HTML herself at the time (several semesters ago).

Interesting class although it was a web class she was very helpful regarding the projects in person and the emails and remarks were expressed in clear english very understandable. She grades hard on grammer but gives you good hints on improving yourself. This class helped me improve myself on many playing fields.

She is lovely teacher who seems to really enjoy what she is doing. She answers any questions that you have and is super helpful. Class is fun!

She teaches web development! And it is soooo fun! You go, Girl!

Easy class and nice professor! Professor does not believe in tests so points come from homework and quizzes. Quizzes are simple and come straight from book. Easy A if you do assignments and pay attention in class!

I learned a lot from this class. It isn't an easy class, and there is a lot of writing assigned, about one writing assignment per week to be exact, not to mention a couple of big papers. As far as tests are concerned, they are somewhat easy as long as you study the chapters well and pay attention in class. Professor is helpful and clear.

Teacher seems to really care about her students. Very willing to help outside of class. Tries to make class interesting. She is strict with grammar, though!

Class turned out to be a little more wok than expected. It usually goes on for an hour and a half at a time, and tends to get very droll very early. Mrs. Cinningham can be helpful, but only if you are legitimately trying to improve yourself. She can come off as a little cold now and again, but as long as you stay on top of weekly work, you'll be ok

Couldn't ask for a better professor! Very helpful and understanding. I felt like she cared about you and what you achieve. Class format was easy to understand and very well organized! Every professor should take notes from Mrs. C!

Great class! I took it online and it was really nice. Easy to keep up with. If you can you should definitely take her! Most of what you learn you can use towards your other classes. Very good class.

She's so nice and friendly and very funny in class. She really cares for her students. I had my wisdom teeth out and she emailed me to say she was praying for me and was really understanding about missing a few classes. Really good about emailing back about questions and the class is not too difficult at all.

Took this as a condensed online course. She is very helpful and sends lots of emails to remind of due dates and how grading works. She is responsive when emailed for clarification. If she gets the same question twice she sends a class email with the question and answer. Definitely would take again - highly recommend.

This class helped me learn more about using a computer and was a good GPA booster.

Took as an online class. She was one of the more engaged and interactive professors I have had. Very personable and took time to get to know the students.

She was great a feedback, but expects you to do your work. She will give a chance for make up, but only for partial credit!

Took this as a condensed online course. She was responsive to emails and had great communication regarding assignment due dates. Even as a condensed course the material was doable and is actually something that will be used in the working world. Would recommend and would take another course taught by her.

I absolutely love going to COMS1403. She makes the class worth going to as her lectures are always interesting, obviously loves her students, and makes an effort to do a good job.

Mrs. Cunningham is a great professor. She makes her expectations very clear Right off the bat and she sticks to them. There are absolutely no exceptions to missing deadlines as you have almost a whole week to do one 10 question assignment. Her tests are easy, just pay attention and you'll do fine.

She is basically the GOATgreatest of all time. If you want a professor who can keep your attention then she is perfect for you. I had basically no experience with computer classes before this one but I feel like I have learned so much already because of her.

Professor Cunningham is a unique professor. She is very odd and quirky, but in the best way possible. She has a lot of fun with her teaching, and is usually pretty prepared, but she is a little scatterbrained. She loves teaching, though, and incorporates fun things into her teaching. Homework is pretty easy, and tests aren't too hard, but not easy.

Mrs. Cunningham is my favorite teacher of all time out of high school and college. She is well prepared and teaches effectively. I learned a lot in her class and will take her anytime I have to take a class she teaches. She is #savage and the GOAT!

Dr. Cunningham went above and beyond to help me during this class. Super reasonable person and will do anything to help! WOULD TOTALLY RECOMMEND HER TO EVERYONE. Assignment schedule is very straight forward every week. Overall, my best experience I have had with a professor here at ATU so far!!

She had a very clear schedule for the whole semester; I felt so relaxed and didn't worry that I was missing anything. She is very communicative and sends a weekly update email. Very nice and understanding as well. Approximately 3-4 assignments a week but nothing too strenuous. Accepted late work w/ -10% deduction per day late.

Took a self-paced online summer course. She sent weekly emails and updated grades weekly based on what was submitted. It was so nice to be able to work at my own pace and not with the rest of the class. She would respond to individual emails quickly and communicates very well.

Mrs. Cunningham was an amazing professor. She is very involved in her classes and is super helpful. I would 100% recommend her.

A very caring professor that makes you feel right at home. She cares about her students and is always willing to help answer anything whether it was about her class or not. Powerpoints are very easy to follow. We can talk pretty much about anything in her class if we have time. Ask her about her Chuck-E-Cheese experience with first-person shooters.

Mrs. Cunningham is my favorite teacher I've ever had. She seems to truly care about each of us and will go above and beyond for her students. She brought so much humor and heart to the subject. She made study guides for almost all of the tests, usually held review days out of class, and put all of the PowerPoints and handouts online for easy access

She is a great professor. FYI: Pringles are better!!!

I thought the class was a little difficult for an intro class, specifically the tests, but Mrs. C goes over all the material with you in ways that you can comprehend. She cares about her students growth of knowledge, and that's a passion you don't see many still have after being in the game so long. She rocks.

Mrs. C was absolutely amazing! I started this class worried that I wouldn't be able to pass because I'm not super familiar with computer systems and it was a condensed online class. That quickly changed. She was very helpful when I had questions and responded quickly. I would gladly take any of her other courses if I need them for my degree.

I took this class online and Ive had a busy schedule all summer and multiple times my module was late. But she listened and understood and let me turn it in late for full credit. She gives you all the work Im advance so you know what you have to do. Highly recommend

She is a good professor. Just do the homework (which is easy) and study. In theory everything you need to know is on her powerpoints that are avalible on bb but I recommend looking over the book as well bc the exams are a bit harder than the homework.

If you do the homework, which comes straight from the textbook, and read the the chapters for the test, it's a free A. The best way to study for her tests is review the homework AND READ THE CHAPTERS. The second test is all terminology and people aced it if the read, or they did awful if they didn't. She's very caring, but she gets off topic often

Excellent professor. She is almost too energetic for me though. Her tests are usually 2 parts: 1 written and 1 on the computer via lockdown browser. If you take notes and read the book then they are easy to pass. She is also very clear about what will be on each test. Would definitely take her class again. I thoroughly enjoyed her class.

She really cares what about the class. She tries not to make the lectures too boring and goes over problems step by step.

She is a very fair and honest professor. She has your back and looks out for you. She also very accessible even outside of normal class hours.

Mrs. Cunningham is hands down one of my Favorite Professors, she's very nice, caring, and helpful, the Assignments are easy to understand and do, she makes the class interesting and fun, just show up to class and you'll pass.

Harder if you aren't very smart with computers. Read the textbook and you will be fine.

A good professor that really cares for her students and wants them to succeed. If you're taking her COMS 1403 class as a Game Design major , be prepared for a lot of the course and major info to be largely irrelevant to you, but if you're in an Information Technology major, there's a lot of good information for you.

Need to be willing to study and review course material outside of class in order to pass quizzes that are plentiful.

This class was very easy in my opinion. There was not much homework and it was all due at the end of the week so I just usually pushed it all back to the end of the week. She was very helpful when I needed help and was very nice.

I had her for three classes this semester, those being COMS 2104, 1403, and 1411. She was great for each course. Professor Cunningham wasn't originally supposed to teach 2104, but she did it very well. She's very invested in the success of students and makes it very clear that she cares. She is easy to contact and very friendly, 5/5

I feel like the professor treated everyone equally and wanted everyone to work for their grade but at the same time she didn't leave us stranded not understanding the material and I really like the way the class was placed out.

This Professor was very respectful and you could tell that she wanted to see us all succeed. I loved how she explained things in ways that she thought would be easiest to understand instead of just reading a textbook.

I had Professor Becky Cunningham for Orientation to Computing. She was a good teacher that cared about our success. The class is essentially all PowerPoint lectures in class then homework about what we learned at home. It was simple but effective and Becky was really sweet and kind.

I took this professor's COMS 1403 class and it was super easy. The material is mainly PowerPoint lectures and take-home homework assignments each week. The professor was always really kind and cared about her students. She also responds fairly quickly to emails which is appreciated.

COMS 1403 was an easy intro class. It can be boring but great if you've never done any CS before! Mrs. Cunningham is a great professor. I'm taking her programming 1 class next semester! This professor cares about her students and is the sweetest, most helpful teacher.

She rarely responded to my messages, blackboard submission comments, or emails, but when she did, she was helpful in resolving my issues. Overall, I enjoyed the online version of the course.

Very well organized, doesn't overwhelm students with instructions, and is very supportive in terms of student growth. I once had a meeting with Ms. Cunningham for information outside of what was provided in the class and I got the impression she cares a great deal about each of her students. Fantastic instructor, take her classes if available.

Mrs. Cunningham is a good teacher. She breaks each section of the class down into weekly assignments that are easy to understand and she is available during the week to help if questions pop up.

Take as many classes as you can with her! She truly cares about her job and her students and it shows!

This professor is by far one of my favorites. She always gave good feed back and gave plenty of time to do assignments and projects. If you are thinking of taking any course that has her as an option I highly recommend you pick that option.

Her teaching is hands-on examples and some lecturing: participation matters so that you have the example programs to call on later. She cares for her students and will definitely help outside of class if she can. Great professor and would definitely take again!

Just come to class, and you will pass. But the teacher was awesome this semester, all assignments was pretty clear and the help and feedback was simple and effective. This was one of my favorite classes and it got me very interested in coding c++. I rate this Epic/10. Would take again.

She is a great professor. The course was super easy and the assignments are assigned on a weekly basis. There is plenty of time to complete assignments and most aren't very difficult. She's very nice and lectures are very helpful. I would highly recommend this professor and this class as it was very enjoyable.

Mrs. Cunningham has great lectures and gives good examples to follow along with. Assignments help grow programming skills and good feedback is given.

Mrs. Cunningham is a great professor and i'm glad to have been her student this semester the only criticism I have though is her advice could be given in a more specific matter and how to move forward if I have no idea what's going on in the class material but that's just me, every person has professors that do and don't work for them.

Dr. Cunningham is a very kind, and genuine teacher, who helps out whenever a question is asked. Would highly recommend, even helped when planning out my courses!

Absolutely amazing professor. 10/10 take her for your COMS 1013 if it fits in your schedule. Will do almost anything in her power to help you pass.

She did a walk-along example program for each of the concepts we learned that we could use to help with the assignments. All the assignments she gave had clear instructions and broke things down into steps to make things easier.

Ms. Cunningham is the best teacher I've had in my freshman year. She was a great teacher that really made me love programming, I also loved her enthusiasm for programming, that was less forced than other teachers that tried to get students attention.

This teacher was great and had very useful demonstrations of how aspects of the course work.

This teacher would demonstrate how to use loops, arrays, functions, etc.. the more or less complicated subjects of CS very well on the board

Mrs. Cunningham was on time and active with grading. There was a good pattern to the assignments and accepts late work up to a week late.

She was very helpful when I needed help and answered in a timely manner. I took the online course and I found that the video lectures with the quizzes in them were very helpful. I did buy the book and I did reference it a couple of times throughout the course but I think you could get by without it.

The professor breaks down complex topics well. While the workload can be heavy, using tools like unstuckstudy alongside the textbook really helps with study prep. Overall, an engaging class worth taking.

I took programming 1 with Mrs. Cunningham my first semester freshman year (fall 2023). I had some health issues and she worked around them in an amazing way. Her class was workload-heavy, but not super difficult. She changed the class around each semester, but is there when you have questions. Ask her or the TA if you need help.
