Harder than hell... DONT TAKE HER- she tests you on nothing you learned- hard, boring
She made everything harder than it had to be. The class itself was boring, but she switched the way to go about it, syllabus wise & how she was teaching it, like 3 times. She wasn't helpful. The class wasn't impossible, but very annoying & difficult.

Absolutely the worst professor I have ever had so far at this school. Doesn't help, her tests are impossible, and if you go to her after for help- she just asks u to read her the book to see if u study right. NOT a recommended prof at all!
She is very hard. Tests are impossible, but she does curve. She teaches like it is a graduate level course. Lots of reading, projects, and she doesn't make things easy to understand.

I wouldn't mind the work if I thought she cared, but she doesn't. Very lazy in class makes us read rather than teach. DOESNT TEACH. Seems distracted like she has better things to do or we are not important. Seems harder on peopl of color too.
all I can say is thank GOD I'm over with this class. and thank GOD she curves. Giving impossibly hard tests is no substitue for teaching. She's terrible.

I thought she was easy, never read the book- just answered the study guide questions and got an A in her class. And she drops lowest test grade and gives extra credit.

Pakizegi is a wonderful professor...she applies what she teaches to real life...her class involves reading and heavily keeping up with material and quizzes every class..the class is mostly about research findings. she is a fair professor
READ THE BOOK! DO THE STUDY QUESTIONS!its the only way to pass the class. quizzes every class, they suck, but are very helpful in the long run.
You can tell when profs write their own review - like on 1/3. Dont be fooled,class was kick easy. Yeah, quizzes up the &* but not hard. If u can put up with her yapin bout her kids and not teaching then not a bad class. Very easy.

Worst class ever. you have to read about 60 pgs every night and doesnt even give you notes for the test. She goes on & on about nonsense thats not even on the test. she only gives u study questions and doesnt even give u a review for the test or notes. Not a fan! The tests are very hard and confusing. The lecture does not seem to connect with the exams. I am on my third exam for this class and still hoping for anything higher than a C.
This was the worse class ever. She rambles on about nothing and her lectures have nothing to do with the tests. Do not take her!
your pretty much teaching yourself in this class. there is too much to learn in only one semester. she goes through only some of the concepts and its up to you to learn the rest. you have to read a million pgs b4 the next class. im not even gona say anything about the exams.

The type of teacher that makes you feel that college is a waste of time/scam. Must read an entire chapter before every 9 out of 10 of her classes. That's basically 80-120 pages a week. Of the 50 confusing concepts in each chapter, she covers about five during a class. You might as well go to a library and take out a book. Same thing, but it's free.
im taking her right now and she is the worst teacher ever. does not care about the students and u MUST participate..if not, then shell give u pop quizzes so u have to read like everyday...if u want to kill urself than take her PLEASE DONT THOUGH
This class will require a lot of your time. Please make sure that you are willing to complete assignments in a timely manner, every class period. She is very helpful and wants her students to succeed.
I took her for psy 210. if you are a full time student I reccommend you Do NOT take her. her test are directly from the book. even the small little figures that are in the book are on her test. I came to this site and read that she was good. and it was a lie. I received a F in her course. when the final came I didnt evne take it B/c it was too late
Good person, she knows her stuff very well BUT she does not know how to teach AT ALL. She uses her own examples and even if you use a different example that matches hers to the definition, you'll still get it wrong. She needs to stick to her job as a therapist.
The worst professor I have ever met! She is very demanding, and expect students to follow her ideas...if she does go over the chapter she is basically changing everything her own way....I did not like her style of teaching and drop the third week!!! Horrible
She does not take attendance but she does give pop quizzes all the time. The notes she writes on the board are very unclear and useless. if you read the chapters assigned everyweek, you will do good. the test questions are rediculously worded and do not make sense. She does however offer extra credit, but its not much. too much work for 5 points.

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR EVERYTHING WRITTEN IN THE TEXTBOOK! I have never had to do this much work for an undergraduate class. The amount of reading that is mandatory for this class, in order to pass with anything higher then a C rivals that of most graduate classes.
I am going to make it simple. If your taking any BIO classes, do not take her along with it! Her test are straight from the book. Reading is cool with me but there is so much reading. Gettin an A is possible, IF, your not taking any other 4 credit class or IF you only have 2 or 3 other easy classes. OTher than that, like others say, GET OUT NOW!
Her whole class is about the book...if there is a little fact in the book about child development, you are responsible for knowing it. She is always available via email to ask questions, and she does offer extra credit though. Many things on tests are taken from the book, and are not covered in class. But her extra credit helps significantly

we havent used our textbooks once in this class, she is a horrible teacher does not teach much, makes you move your seat if you are talking. We take a quiz every class if you are even a minute late you have missed the quiz and take it. Worse professor ever
Look, I'll admit it shes tough - but she tells you that at the beginning of the class. You HAVE to read - if you don't...you WILL FAIL. She gives quizzes on each chapter EVERYDAY. If you do your reading you will do well on them. Her tests are VERY hard but she curves alot so its not so bad. shes hard but i like her and i learned alot.

First off, Dr. Pakizegi wrote the review below herself. Worded exactly how she writes in class. We DID read and DID take notes, and unfortunately we ARE in class, but her "style" is so disorganized and she seems to ramble on with stories that don't help us. Our whole row this semester would shake our heads in frustration after each lecture.
Horrible if your full time and work don't take her she expects you to read a chapter for the nxt class meeting which is only 2days. Gives stupid pop quizzes to see if you read the whole chapter she's hard and boring and loves to call on people
She is a very sweet lady!! This class is time consuming, meaning it will take u 2 hours to complete the HW- 10 Q's about the chapter- (assigned everyday) & graded. 4 grades = 3 exams & HW grade combined. Began w/ a class of 25, ended w/ 6. TOUGH class, but offers xtra help & opportunities 2 raise grade. Interesting course, nice teacher, work hard.
She is a good and helpful professor. A lot of people don't like that she gives a short quiz at the beginning of each class, But I believe that this is a good way to make sure you're doing the work. And since I read for every class I barely had to study for the tests. I learned and loved it.

I abhor her. First of all, regarding personal and intellectual investment, she inhibits the growth of it. She squanders the opportunity by encumbering you from delving deeper into this realm. She is inept at such abstract ways of thinking and placing such prohibitory limitations on thought disgusts me. Rigor is not compensation for cultivation.
She does not know the definition of learning. She is just another bad teacher who lacks the ability to teach without the book. Literally, this is the only method of "learning" in her class. If you want an amazing class that really sparks your intellect and makes you think, her class is NOT it. Your thoughts don't matter here, only the textbook.

It's quite humorous how she has to keep rating herself. She wrote the last comment to try to make herself look good. She is as bad as the very worst comment on here. Please do yourself a favor and don't take her. Save yourself the annoyance and aggravation before it's too late. If you take I promise you, no matter who you are, you will regret it.
The plethora of extra credit she offers isn't even guaranteed extra credit. She expects you to write an essay for her to deem whether or not it is worthy of being graded. Everything about her class is ridiculous. This woman really needs to just stop teaching. She is miserable and she takes out her misery on everyone else.

Dropped the class because there was no way to pass. She has no idea how to teach, lectures are boring, reading verbatim from the book. Why does WPU keep her on staff?
You will have to buy the textbook. She assigns homework for one chapter every night, which takes about 3 hours to do if you are very focused on it and do not take any breaks. For each class, she makes notes on her attendance sheet and deducts points from those students who have not completed the homework or participated in the discussion.
Class discussions are based on the homework assignments she gives each night. She will go through each question and does not consider an answer correct unless it is worded exactly the way she has worded it on her answer sheet. She expects everyone to contribute to the class discussion for every single class and calls on whoever she wants at random.
Great professor. Will make sure you learn the content well. Homework load is heavy but definitely doable if you plan ahead and space the readings. Always available for extra help. Make sure you are a devoted, passionate student if you choose to take her.
If you have all the time in the world to read just for one class this is the class for you. She makes you read basically the whole book. Timed quizzes each week before the class meets. Tests are hard because of the wording of the questions, although she give a study guide. Keeps you past the time you schedule says class ends.
She is an excellent professor. Getting the study guide for the textbook is essential and while there is a lot of reading and quizzes as long as you do it you should do well. I am in school for a second degree and I know bad professors. If you don't do well in this class it is because you did not work hard not because of Dr. Pakizegi.
I took her for developmental psych Spring 2012. The class requires you to get a text book and you need to read it and take the online quizzes 2 times a week. Lectures go over the readings and there are 5 exams. She is a tough professor but will help you if you. I enjoyed the class but it is ALOT of work and you have to be dedicated to the class.
Do not take this woman. I missed ONE class and my grade dropped by 10 points. She is not understanding towards any circumstances and does not lecture before exams.
She is horrible! If she doesn't like you, you will not pass this class. I worked my butt off in her class, and failed a quiz. After looking over a classmates quiz I had the same exact answers and I was marked wrong and hers correct. She refused to listen when I showed her. I am not the first person this has happened to either!
TERRIBLE I got 1 point out of 6 because I put an article (the) out of place in a sentence. She doesnt help with when you go to her pffice instead lectures you that youre not doing the work right and then sends you off. She has 10 yr so she'll never quit! She shouldnt be teaching!she spends half the class going on about her kids!Don't recommend!
I always hate it when people dribble about how "Class is so hard" or "So much work." College is tough, when teachers say "You're going to need hours to study" They mean it, especially in psychology. This Pakizegi was really sweet throughout the course and the work is standard college work. Plus, most psych is overlap,so learn it now, it'll help!
Keeping up with the work is important in her class. I felt it was a but too much since i had 3 or 4 other classes to keep up with. Must read and type out the homework before class & be ready to participate.
Don't expect an easy B or an A coming in
This has been one of the hardest class that I ever have taken, but Prof Pakizegi will help you if you are having problems with the class but you have to help yourself first. This is a reading extensive class and the textbook is your best friend, but if you are having problems, just go to her! She will give you a lot of chance to improve your grade!
Although there is a lot of work involved it is pretty easy because all the material on the tests and quizzes are in the textbook, word for word. However, she is the WORST, most biased teacher ever. I got As and a 100 on the exams and on the final a C+ and as a final grade she gave me a B+. She's repetitive and boring... DO NOT TAKE.
She wasn't hard, but don't expect an easy A. You need to study, you need to participate, and you need to be there. I am not the "studying" type, but boy did I for this class! Managed a B due to excessive lates (severe parking probs 1st semester!) But she was VERY understanding and kind when I got the flu a week before finals. BRING A DOCTOR's NOTE!
Read! & do the weekly quizzes!! Participate & get involved. No surprises, goes by syllabus. Offers extra credit. Take picwrite answers from quizzes cause test questions come from them. Very nice lady. Compassionate.
Okay, I have plenty to say about Prof Naz, first of all, AVOID, at ALL costs. Worst professor I have ever had. How her class works: Read every word in the textbook, take a quiz everyday. She is very patronizing. Now, she can be a very nice person and I appreciate her views, and if you enjoy teaching yourself and have no life, go for it.
She is a very hard grader and expects you to only focus on her class. Her attitude can be a bit rude and her extra credit is ridiculous. Avoid her at all cost. AVOID HER AT AL COST!!!! Please I beg everyone to stay far far far away!
You have to make sure you read the chapters in the book for the online quizzes. She gives you 3 tries for every quiz. She is helpful and tries her best to go over her powerpoints. She is also a very nice person. The class is interesting. Also, it is very interesting because you get to observe children. Buying the workbook would also help a lot.
She is a nice person, terrible professor. She really expects too much, she thinks her class is the only one you take and therefore you should be studying day and night. You should probably sleep with the textbook.
HONEST: I expected her to be bad because of her ratings but shes GREAT!! There are soooo many extra credit chances. Quizzes are online you get three tries and there only 15 questions (Drops lowest 4) Exams are straight forward and she gives study guides (which are also extra credit) If you cant get an A in this class you HONESTLY didn't try.
Honestly, she's one of the most fair professors I've taken. What you see is what you get. She lectures about the chapter and quiz from the night before and gives you more than enough time to take the quiz. If you want to pass her tests, DO THE REVIEW! She doesn't give any papers or other assignments besides reading. Lastly, don't be late.
She actually cares about you learning the material and if you need any help, she is more than eager to help you. You must participate in class. And she's not fond of you missing class, coming in late or using your phone. There's quizzes you need to take online, before a class. They're a pain but they really help you for the test.

I really enjoyed the class, she tries her best to have everyone participate. READ THE TEXTBOOK AND DO ALL OF THE EXTRA CREDIT! She is a brutally honest grader when it comes to test grades, participation and attendance.
There are no surprises in this class; all laid out in the syllabus. Weekly online quizzes (you get 3 chances) that come from the chapter. Tests come right from the quizzes and there are no papers, midterm or final. She gives plant of opportunity for extra credit. There is a great deal of reading in this class, but you can easily get a A.
