she's smokin hot! i'd take bio twice.

Dr. Bela is awesome! She is always pleasant, and for those that have her there is no better sound than "How are you doing today guys? Good?!" If you don't like her you must be a "non-major"... Bella rocks...period!

sitting in the back, I was once cutting my fingernails and she stopped the class and called me out on it. Fall 2001... funny stuff.

Good teacher, if you put in effort she will work with you. Everything she test on are right on her website. This is college you are susposed to work for your grade there is no free lunch.

Bela is pretty cool and always nice. Her tests were OK and her labs were always really fun. I'd recommend her to anyone.

Microbiology. What else can I say? She is an excellent teacher. In lab, she got annoyed because some students don't follow directions. She has excellent notes. As long as you read the notes, you will get an A or B in the class.

She is the greatest Bio teacher I ever had. She knows what she is doing and she knows how to teach it. She is also one of the nicest professors.

Most I ever learned in any science class thus far. SO clear on what you are responsible for. It is alot, but you'll not be surprised on test. Good system for lectures, provides pdf files to review and download preclass. You get what you work for in her class. Knows her stuff and knows how to teach. Don't even try to argue fairness of grade to her. She will rightfully win.

Dr.Bela is one of the best professors that I've had in any area of study. She is very fair, makes you work for your grades, has a great teaching style, and has what it takes to make students want to learn tough material. She has the personality for the job too, doesn't take crap from the students!!

I had her for both 110 and 111 last year. She is the best Science teacher I've had at DCCC. She has the best stories and you still learn a lot from her. She keeps the class interesting. Very down to Earth. She doesn't care if you come to class or not, just come for the tests and labs. Tests have some tricky questions, but they are all multi choice.

If a student is not in class, Dr. Bela will talk about that student in of the rest of the class. Sometimes what she says is funny, but it is just as often mean-spirited. An example joke: An older student wasn't there and she suggested he maybe had a heart-attack. Thus, she engages in backstabbing of her own students to maintain her popularity.

Great teacher, I came to the class with little knowlege on bio and had an LA major, but now im thinkin about going into science cause of all her cool stories. oKaaaY GuuYss. Chachhh Yaa LaTerr.. Shes funny and cute...take the class.

Dr.Bella, is ssssoooo funny. You will enjoy her class even if you didn't want to.She is very helpful, and she teaches such a difficult course in such a fun way. Her exams are very tricky, so study everything on her slides. She's really a cool teacher, and I would take her class just for the heck of it.

Loved her class. I switched from LA to science becuase of her. Dr Bela is unique. You either like her or dont. Very funny (in a sarcastic way). Always in a good mood. Very knowledgeable. Study the slides and take notes (i never used the textbook). Class is very straightforward but the test is little bit tricky (and you're not allow to keep it).

Dr. Bela is so sweet, understanding, fair, and really intellegent. I love all her classes I had her for micro, then took her for Bio 110. I highly recommended her for a teacher and she is hot. I love when she puts her accent on too. lol!!!

Bela was a really great teacher, probably the best science teacher I've had so far. She's really tough and makes you work for your grade, but her smile and personality really make the class enjoyable!

I didn't think biology could be so funny. She's awesome. She knows what she's talking about and she makes it interesting. She is so funny and adorable. Best science class. You really have to study and understand the material. I was a challenging class but it was worth it.

i've been out of school for awhile, got an 'A' in her class so i don't know what other people talking about when they say her class is hard. If you obviously study then there wouldn't be such a problem. Awesome teacher-i learned a lot from her. i loved her class it was pretty interesting. i highly recommend her.

I had a very good experience in her class, and although i am not a biology major she has increased my desire to learn the subject.

Has a very good personality. Bio 110 is a lot of materials. If you study you will be fine. Just study from her powerpoints. I did not use the book once. Her classes are really fun and not boring. She has a really good personality which is good for such a hard subject. Attendance does count for her lectures.

Dr. Bela is one of the best teachers I've ever had. She makes going to class enjoyable, and is always available to answer questions students have. She makes sure to cover challenging material, and it shows in the plethora of colleges this course transfers to. There is no doubt that this is a college level course.

Dr. Bela is a awesome teacher. There is no reason anyone should do badly in her class. The material can be complicated but she explains it all very clearly & makes it easy to understand. She tells you exactly what's going to be on the tests. She's very helpful & always has time to answer your questions. You just have to study the power points.

Every one says she is easy take her, her tests right off the powerpoint and I got no higher then a B on all the tests. I took Bio 100 before thinking 110 would teach differently but it was all the same, I do not think she is that good, she takes 2 points off for multi choice questions, and word probs are worth 1. I would not recommend.

Bela is a good professor cares about her students and tells funny stories. Test require that you at least review the power points, if you do you can get an A. Does require you put in some effort;however, she does make the subject interesting. Not an Easy A, but an Easy B. Never needed that book either.

ONE of the BEST teachers of my life. The materials are ok, but I dont do so wel on multiple choice questions (to me some of them seemed REALLY confusing)....tests r like 50 multiple choices, NOT so easy....but learned a lot n for a B which is not that bad I guess. Best of luck!!

She is very helpful and nice and makes biology a lot more easier than it may seem. I always recommended her. Her tests are multiple choice & easy as long as you study her powerpoints.

A beautiful energy and instructor. Always upbeat and caring for her students. Laughing, joyous and and amazing person. Took nine exams in eight weeks due to early semester sickness and she was so incredibly supportive, learning from me of things I researched outside of class on health and nutrition. I would recommend her to anyone.

Best Microbiology professor! Expect funny stories that go along with the material she explains. There are no quizzes or lab reports due; only exams.

I took Dr. Bella my freshman year, and it was my first college science class. She is an amazing Professor! If you have an opportunity to take her, you better do it or you will regret it down the road. I got an A in this class, she is very clear on what you need to know for exams and provides all the notes needed! Take Dr. Bella or you will regret!

Her class was easy. Study PPT which she uses. Then you'll get A. Her lab class is super easy, too.

Dr. Bela is an amazing teacher, she's hyper passionate about the field and can always be expected to have the answers to tertiary questions about course content. Almost every class has some hilarious anecdote about the field or her students. Her class is definitely geared towards Science majors, and was difficult for me, an Education major.

I LOVE HER! Very straight forward! Lectures/Packets contain everything you need to know for the test. She's really down to earth, and funny. Her lectures are interesting and lab is pretty laid back & interesting. Shes also the head of the Bio department so you're definitely learning from the best! Dr. Bela is SO great. As long as you show up to class, take notes,and study, you will be fine. She is so funny, and has interesting stories for most of the concepts discussed in lecture. She's the department head of Biology, so that's an added bonus. I'm honestly sad I can't take her next semester because of my schedule conflicts.

Dr. Bella is very encouraging and truly cares about the success of ALL her students. This is the first BIO class I have ever taken with Lab. I had so much fun and learned a lot. I signed up to take her BIO 111 class next year, and hopefully shell go back to teach Microbiolgy.

The best of the best

This class was pretty straightforward if you manage your time correctly. No need to read the textbook, just take comprehensive notes on the lectures. Make sure lab notes are complete with pictures because she will close them down unable to be reviewed before the lab exams. Was not super hard just pay attention, especially to smaller details.

Easily the best professor I've ever had. Dr. Bela is truly amazing, cares deeply about her student's success, and is excited about teaching. Tests are fair and need to be studied for. Lectures and side stories are very interesting and enjoyable. Labs are so much fun. You will not find a better BIO professor. Study and you will get a good grade.

I took Dr. Bela's class for BIO 110 and 111 and she was by far the best biology professor I have ever had. If you try your best in the class, show up to labs, and get your work done there is NO WAY you will not pass her class with at least a B. In both classes, I ended with a A.

If you want to get the most out of a bio class at DCCC, then take Dr. Bela's class! She is an amazing and caring teacher. Make sure to come to labs, and complete her assignments and I swear you will end with an A. A tip for this class is not to worry too much about the lab practicals (basically a midterm/final) just study the slides she gives you

I took Professor Bela for Bio 110 & 111 and both labs. She was super kind and helpful. If you study the powerpoints you'll do well on the exams. She never gave extra-credit so make sure to study. The labs are pretty simple. Overall she was one of my favorite teachers.

I enjoyed her class, and felt she genuinely wanted everyone to succeed. There was a good amount of homework, but it was an easy grade booster. I felt the tests were generally straight forward and if you pay attention in lecture you will do okay. My only critique is sometimes she gets off track and rambles about random things.

She is an amazing professor—she will keep you laughing! I took her class during Summer I. You don't need to buy the book everything is based on her lectures. I wish she taught Biology 150 and 151. Definitely take her class—you won't regret it! I wish there was more Professors like her teacher Biology classes.

I took her hybrid class over the summer and I have to say that it is well-paced and manageable and I was able to balance work and doing class. Dr. Bela is caring, humorous, and very open to feedback. Tests and lab practicals were straight forward as long as you do all the work and pay attention. Labs were super chill & she gives plenty of guidance.
