The class isn't that hard, but the only problem is that he is sort of hard to understand. He has a strong accent, and sometimes you're just better off reading out of the book. But he is very nice, and helpful. He helps before and after class. :)

He's a really nice guy, and he tries to help as much as he can...but don't ask him questions in English - he get's so confused! The class was easy, we didn't even do half the book. Just study the review tests he gives you, and you'll get an A or B.

I had this professor last year for the class above and he is simply outstanding!. He is extremely knowledgeable and has a keen desire to help out and connect with his students. He is also a big promoter of teaching his students on how to use the TI graphing calculators. I wish I had him this term!.

Gonzales knows his subject and that is what makes him the great teacher he is. There are four tests throught the semmester which are not hard if you study and do your homework constantly. Although it is hard to understand him sometimes he is very straight to the point. He cares about the student as he hands out reviews before every test. If the student was satisfied with the results of all four (4) tests you were no obligated to take the Final. Im so glad I took both MGF 1106 & 1107 with him. I am terrible in Math & passed.

Once you get past his thick Cuban/Russian dialog he's a great teacher. He makes jokes and often makes the class laugh and keeps everyone's attention (which makes the 3 hours fly by). If you do all the homework, you get 20 pts on each quiz, and if you pass the midterm he lets you retake your lowest scored quiz. I used to hate math until I had him.

Great math professor! His class is very straightforward. Just do the online homework, the 4 exams and the final and you're done. His lectures are understandable and he will explain the problem as many times as it takes for everyone to understand. His tests are not that difficult just make sure to know the material! Attendance is not mandatory.

His test aren't multiple choice except for the final. Make sure you pay attention in class, do the online hw, and study the exam reviews he has on his website, and there's no reason why you shouldn't pass the class. Super nice guy, always relates math to real life. Make sure you always show as much work as possible in the exams!

Professor Gonzalez is a overall great math professor. Very knowledgable in the subject he's teaching and other mathematically focused subjects (Physics etc.) His accent might confuse you sometimes, but it isn't bad. You must study for this class or you will fail. He drops the test with the lowest grade, and curves each test.

Took this class online. 2 proctored exams, which if you do the practice test, they are THE SAME and you will pass. Homework is on every chapter sections, but it isn't too bad. He normally extends the due dates which is nice & answers emails within hours.

I did not like him in the beginning, but as the semester went on I became more understanding of his techniques. He lets you work in groups on the exams and the final is multiple choice. Do not take him if you are a student that wants everything handed to you without the work. He is a great professor, and I AM taking him again next semester.

Mr. Gonzalez class is very straight to the point. I took his online algebra class and he has 4 test, 2 which are proctored. If you study the practice tests, you WILL pass. Its the same problems with different numbers, no surprises. That was the best part. He's a little hard to get a hold of and the worst part is that you have to use connectmath.

He is an excellent professor, however there are a LOT of HW in his class, this HW has a value of 15% of the final grade, but also he pays a LOT of his attention to the HW, so if you want to get and A in his class you MUST complete the HW, the exams are in group of 3 people and if you attend to his classes you will pass without problem,very nice.

A solid choice for a math professor. Tests weren't extremely difficult and he does give partial credit sometimes and doesn't take off points for not showing work. The homework is easy (MyMathLab) and a week before the tests, he emails the class practice exams with problems that are very similar to what will be on the test.

I love this professor. He is very sarcastic and will pick on you if you don't know your stuff. Encourages his students to always keep learning. His tests are really easy if you study the material. Take this class if you are ready to learn

there two professors with the same name. one of them teaches in interamerican and the other at wolfson. i have taken both and the good reviews have to be for the professor in interamerican. he is great and takes his time explaining. The professor in Wolfson campus is ok. accent is very thick.

if you like math and you have a good background, you will do just fine , he explains every chapter with clear details and examples, quizes are not multiple choice, so you must be aware of every detail, if u commit an error you will only get half point. He is good, he know his stuff, but let me tell you, if you dont study you wont pass for sure.

This rating is based on Belarmino Gonzalez of MDC's Wolfson Campus, not the Interamerican campus. As for his MAC1105 Summer class, he has a heavy accent but nothing too impossible to understand. Gives you 2 weeks for about 190 online math questions through MyLab, super easy. Tests are mirror images of the reviews he passes out- Easy A for anyone.

I am grading the professor who teaches at Interamerican campus. He is a really good professor, very knowledgeable, understanding and explains the content clearly. He posts chapter guides with exercises on blackboard. Exams have the same content. NO MULTIPLE CHOICE TESTS. Be prepared to study hard!

He is a good teacher overall. The tests are exactly what he teaches. I just wish he would help with extra credit for those who struggle with math.

I personally very much liked Belarmino (INTERAMERICAN CAMPUS) he was cool to talk to, made funny jokes here sometimes, would ask if anyone had questions, and he tries to make everything clear and makes imaginative examples to try to help you get the lecture. Make sure to study WELL for the tests! DO NOT LEAVE MYMATHLAB FOR THE END, u will h8 urself

Thick accent but if you actually WANT to understand him, you will. Fair grading but such a sweetheart. Has dry grandpa jokes but its funny. Best to take this class with friends

I took his online class. I actually really enjoyed it. It was simple and to the point. 4 tests, 4 discussion assignments which were very easy, midterm/final and homework on connect math. You have all semester to complete the homework but he asks that you pace yourself to not fall behind. I received an A and I am very happy with this professor.

Super nice, and gives an opportunity for extra credit which is amazing because math is very challenging for me. He's also attractive and humorous which has nothing to do with his teaching abilities but a little added bonus to taking his class.

I thoroughly enjoyed Prof. Gonzales' class. He is a very "easy-going" teacher who is very smart in math. It is clear from the beginning that he does not want his students stressed out about Math. He explains, very well, how to work out different math problems. Very nice teacher. Would definitely take him again!

I took the online class, You gotta be able to study by yourself and teach yourself things with the material he provides, so If you cant learn math without lectures I'd say don't take. overall the homework's content matches the test's content so it's helpful.

You basically teach yourself but it's doable. There is one homework for each section and 4 exams in total. Each question on the homework has a video explaining a similar problem and there are many attempts available so you can definitely get a good grade. Though he doesn't do lectures, he answers quickly if you have any issues and is understanding!

I took MAT 1033 a couple of years ago at Padrón Campus. Im not good at Math. He has been the best Math professor Ive had in my entire life. I spent hours studying by myself to get a good grade in his class. He was accessible outside class and he was always willing to help. I wish I could take him again.

This guy is great, answers and explains any questions you may have. I especially appreciate his patience with people that are terrible at math, such as myself. He never shames or looks at you weird for not understanding something basic, and will go above and beyond to explain. Grading is clear, and you have many opportunities to improve your grade.

Course and professor wasn't bad, it was just too complicated to understand especially since it's an online class. Discussion posts once every few weeks. There is a midterm and final but professor has reviews for both exams and exams are very similar if not the same as the reviews. Would've passed if took class seriously.

Profesor Belarmino is great at what he does, you just need to be willing to learn. Lectures are very thorough if you ask questions and he teaches you the concepts from the ground up, unlike some professors that only tell you what's in the book. An excellent professor for this course, if you ask questions in class and do the homework you will pass!

my class was completely asynchronous, but he is willing to help you if you reach out. proctored midterm and final and he gives practice exams for each. one of the best math professors at dade

Good professor,you can tell he knows what he's doing. But he send so much homework to do. He offers an extra credit for each test that we take and they are 75 questions each, really grateful for that extra credit cuz at the end of the day its 10 additional points but it too much. The last extra credit was 83 question and we had to do it in a week.

Prof. Gonzalez is a good professor, yet the amount of homework he gives is overwhelming whatsoever. The assignments are long and the platform would give issues, It can be overwhelming as a full time student. He does give you extra credit opportunities though, and is very active with emails and grading. I would recommend taking his class in person.

Great professor, easy lectures, extra credit on all tests (4 in total), optional final (replaces lowest test grade). Average homework (around 10-20 questions per lesson). Passing is easy if you do homework on time and complete extra credit.

Great professor. If you're doing well in the course, you don't have to attend class, but I recommend it anyway because his lectures are very good. Organized and always lets you know the tentative schedule for exams. Every test has extra credit (good for studying). Final replaces the lowest test grade + he'll pass you manually w/ a C if you pass it.

4 exams, optional final exam. Exams are worth 80% of your grade but it was easy because he gives you a practice problems and extra credits. He was one of the best professors I took at MDC Padron.

Prof. Gonzalez is probably one of the best math prof. I ever had. This class has a lot of work and a lot of extracredit. There is 4 exams (easy if you study). His lectures are amazing and he knows what he is teaching. Definetly would take him again! I recommend him a lot!

Professor Gonzalez is knowledgeable, but the course workload can be heavy. Attend lectures, use the free textbook, and try unstuckstudy ai for extra practice - it really helped me ace the exams.

Very easy class. All assignments were done through Pearson. 4 exams worth 80% of your grade, which are not proctored. The homework assignments were worth the other 20% of your grade.
